Jersey layed contently on her bed. She was on her stomach writing in her diary, which she had covered in drawings, songs, and thoughts. She swung her feet from side to side and she hummed to a song. She had been drawing a dragon for the past week. She started in Weinzug and she still had not finished. The drawing was of great detail, and Jersey had been a wonderful artist. As Jersey put the finishing touches on her dragon she sat up and examined the picture. "It's bloody brillant." she said smiling with pride at her picture.
Jersey closed her diary and placed it underneath her matrice for protection of wondering eyes. She was usually alone when she was in the dormintory, so no one ever saw her place it there. Thinking of what she wanted to do next she sighed and looked out the window. The weather outside didn't look to bad, the sun was peeping out and the snow that had covered the ground before she left was slowly leaving. Jersey brushed her hair behind her ears and quickly walked away from the window to get her outside gear. Throwing on her Slytherian pride stuff, because it was the closet to her, she carefully then walked through the common room and then out to the halls.
Walking through the halls was what Jersey hated most. She had mastered short cuts and things during her 6 years at Hogwarts, but had still greatly hated the long walk up the steps and all the jazz to get anywhere. Taking up a slow pace, Jersey gave all people who kids who looked to be about 1st years a good scare. She'd pretend like she wasn't paying attention to them, and then all of a sudden jump out in front of thier walking area and yell "Boo!" She got an absolute kick out of that, and her mission was accomplished, for all the kids she did it to screamed.
Making her way towards the outside Jersey buttoned up her coat which she had left open due to the heat of the building. Opening the door she stepped out and saw only a few kids hanging around outside. She trudged slowly through the snow watching the ones who were out there throw snowballs at each other. Jersey would have usually picked up a snowball herself and invited herself in on the fun, but instead she felt like being a lady and just ignore the rotten kids. Instead she was looking for some friends of her own to talk to or even some new ones would do.

Sitting in the corner of the Ravenclaw common room was Jasmine. Her legs were pulled under her and her sketchbook lay on her lap and her pencil to her mouth. She looked all around her for something to drawl but nothing seemed to stick out. Still looking around she saw a couple of people sitting down and reading a nice book. Studying the people Jasmine got an idea of what her outline should be. She started to sketch on her note book. Her hand glided over the paper letting her hands do the work. Jasmine wasn’t much of a drawler but Parvati made it look fun and showed her a few pointers. She pulled her dark hair into a pony tail and continued to drawl the people studying. After a few minutes of drawling she stopped and took a look at her artwork. It wasn’t all the good but god enough for her. Jasmine smiled and signed her name and date.
Jasmine than put the notebook back down on her lap and looked through all her artwork. There were pictures of mountains, people, houses, and a big Christmas tree. She had made all the work on the trip to the enchanted castle. Jasmine enjoyed herself and made really good friends. But Molly, Vanessa, and Kelsey were her best friends. They were all in a different house than Jasmine but they hanged out a lot. Jasmine sighed as she put her sketchbook back in her shoulder bag and stood up. She put her arms in the air and started to stretch due to sitting on the hard ground for a long time. After stretching she walked up the dormitory and sat down on her bed and looked out the window. A cold shiver went up her back and she folded her arms around her. It was really cold every where and it only seemed that the only thing that was warm was the fire place. Sighing deeply she pulled on her long black coat and other winter materials and darted out of the common room and down the flights of stairs.
Still putting on her hat and gloves Jasmine mind raced for the up coming Quidditch match against Slytherin. She was supposed to play chaser and she wasn’t all the good at blocking buldger. But she was sure that one of the beaters would be good at defending players. Jasmine than felt her stomach turn into a knot and butter flies flying around her insides. How could she be so nervous now? Maybe because it was going to be her first game ever that she got to play in. Taking in a deep breathe Jasmine made her pony tail neater and walked outside.
When she opened the door out of the castle a jolt of wind rushed towards her making her face sting. Jasmine loved the winter season but why was it always so cold? She rubbed her hands together and continued down the path of the court yard. She remembered when it was spring and fountains would shoot water and the flower bloom. But now the fountains were turned off and the flowers were all dead. With another sigh she continued to walk with the snow crunching underneath her. When she reached a certain point she noticed some one hit her with a snow ball. She turned around and saw a couple of first years try to attach her with snow. Jasmine looked at them and continued to walk ignoring the snow that was still on her coat.
"How rude!" Jasmine said to herself and continued to walk. She than noticed a girl off into the distance looking around for some one to talk too. Jasmine recognized the girl as a sixth year Slytherin she had met on winter vacation. She really didn’t talk to the girl much but she knew that not all Slytherins were mean. Marry Evans was a very nice Slytherin and along with Perseus Feynman. Jasmine than walked over towards the girl with a smile on her face. When she reached her she stopped and smiled even more, "Hi..." Jasmine forced the words out trying to push aside her shyness.

((Hey Dana I have you come with me because you said you wanted someone to bring you in. But if you have any better ideas as to how you can enter just let me know and I can modify my post )) Judith sat on her bed finished the book on ancient Greek mythology she had been reading. Not knowing what to do next she decided to go down to the common room and find someone to talk to. Judith grabbed her purse, scarf, and cloak just in case before heading down the stairs. As Judy entered the common room she noticed most there seemed to be doing their own things and she did not want to interrupt. She then heard the entrance open and looked up hoping someone she knew had come in. Instead it was Jasmine leaving. ‘She may be going somewhere important. I should leave her be’ one side of her mind said. ‘Then again, she may be going to find someone to talk to’ the other side argued. Judith just stood there as the door closed behind Jasmine. She was about to go back upstairs when she finally decided to go after Jasmine. Judith rushed out of the room and saw Jasmine a bit ahead. She was about to call out when she saw Dana coming up beside her. “Hey Dana. Care to join me? I’m going to check out where Jasmine is going.” Judith asked; but without waiting for an answer she grabbed Dana’s arm and pulled her along in pursuit of Jasmine. When Judith and Dana reached the courtyard they saw Jasmine approach a Slytherin somewhat uncertainly. Judith had seen that girl in the halls before, scaring people who got in her path. Thinking Jasmine may need some backup she pulled Dana over. “Hey guys. What are you up to? I’m Judith Chloe” she said to the Slytherin while offering her hand and giving a suspicious smile.

Dana had been rather bored and didn’t feel like reviewing for the potions class, so she left the library and wandered towards the common room, hoping to run into some of her friends. So she was quite glad when Judith had pulled her along and dragged her outside.
Dana and Judith reached the courtyard just as Jasmine was approaching someone from Slytherin, and Judith pulled Dana over.
“And I’m Dana. Coran. Hi, Jasmine,” Dana said with a bright smile to the other two girls – she wasn’t really afraid of the Slytherin girl. Sure Slytherins could be mean sometimes, but it was actually somewhat even expected of them. Besides Dana doubted the girl would try to hex them in broad day-light. And rarely anyone would be trying to hex three Ravenclaws, when they were together AND older students already.
“Please tell me anyone has any bright ideas about some entertainment,” Dana continued pulling out her wand and casting a quick spells, when some first years were trying to sneak closer with snow-balls. The spell caused snow fly up from the ground and hit the attacking first years instead, who backed away quickly.
“I mean I wouldn’t really want to play with snow-balls, but absolutely NOTHING else seems to be up,” Dana said with a smile tilting her head waiting for an answer, while placing a calming hand on both Judith's and Jasmine's shoulder.

Jersey continued a slow pace walk through the courtyard, trying to stay clear of the little rascals throwing snowballs. She looked down at her feet and watched her feet truding through the snow that was slowly melting away. She listened to the sound of the trudging and smiled, for she seemed to enjoy it.
She had been staring at the ground for some bit, when she heard a girl saying "hi.." behind her. Jersey, unsure if she was talking to her or not, decided to turn around and see. She lifted her head and stopped in her tracks, and then slowly turned around to see who it was. Jersey had seen the girl only a few times around, but had known for a fact that she was a Ravenclaw. She noticed the girl's uncertainy, and figured that she also, knew of her house. Deciding agaisnt being a rude and crude Slytherian, Jersey smiled brightly at the girl's hello, reassuring her that it was okay for her to say hi.
Raising her hand towards her chest, she gave the girl a wave and then smiled for her introduction. "I'm Jersey," as she tried to get Scott out she was interrupted by 2 other girls, who she had not known by association, but had known that they as well were Ravenclaws. The girls introduced themselves to Jasmine as Dana and Judith. Feeling a little annoyance for not introducing themselves to Jersey, she thought she'd be the better man about it, and introduce herself. Clearing her throat a bit, she smiled at the 3 of them and continued her introduction to Jasmine, "As I was saying I am Jersey Scott. Pleasure to meet you."
Jersey turned to the other 2 girls, "I'm Jersey Scott." she said, acting as if they had not just heard her introduction. "And you don't have to like me if you choose." she said sounding a bit soft to the girls. Quickly looking away, as to not let the girls see that she was offering a sensitive side Dana asked if anyone had any type of entertainment to offer. Jersey shrugged and still feeling a bit iffy about the situation placed her hands into her pockets and waited for someone else to reply.

The Slytherin introduced herself as Jersey Scott to Jasmine. Judith was quite offended considering she had offered her hand and it was rejected, then the girl had the gall to insinuate it was Judith who was not being accepting. Judith decided to brush it off though, being so soon after break everybody was upset to be back. Dana then asked if anybody had an idea as to what they could do. “How about … truth or dare?” Judith asked. It was a perfect idea, killing two birds with one stone; they would not be bored and they could see if this Slytherin was going to be nice or mean.
The idea put forward Judith moved over to a near-by bench. She took out her wand and melted all the snow leaving it dry and warm. Judith made sure there was more than enough room for the four of them to sir comfortably before sitting down. She then sat quietly waiting for the others to either accept or reject her idea.

Jasmine smiled at the older girl as she introduced herself nicely. Maybe this Slytherin was nice. With a smile she was about to say something but her shyness was getting the best of her. She turned a little red in the checks and sighed with relief as Dana and Judith came over. "Hello there Judith, Dana." Jasmine finally spoke with a smile still on her face. She bundled more into her jacket as the girls talked.
Jasmine was always the quiet and kept to herself kind of girl. A smile was still on her face as Judith suggested playing a game called truth or dare. Jasmine had played the game before but always took the safe route. She always picked truth and never went out of her comfort zone with the dares.
Sitting down next to Judith Jasmine said nothing. She wonted to speak but her lips wonted move and she just stared at the girls as her checks went warm again. They could tell that she was a little shy? Right? She continued to smile and looked off into the distance enjoying the warmth of the seat. It was quite cold outside but she was glad to be back at Hogwarts and going to classes. "Oi no I got to study right after this..." Jasmine said in her head and looked up at the girls. "Um..... Truth or dare sounds good....." Jasmine finally said pushing aside her shyness yet again. She just didn’t feel that conferrable around people she didn’t know.

Dana grinned as Judith offered to play truth or dare. “I’m in game, as long as I don’t have to kiss Snape. Or any professor for that matter!” Dana declared rather loudly as she pulled out her wand and whispered a quick spell, causing a magical bon-fire to start up next to the now snow-free benches. The fire would give warmth, but wouldn’t burn anything.
Dana sat on the bench facing the one where Judith and Jasmine were already sitting and grinned up to Jersey. “You in game?” Dana asked with a twinkle in her eyes and motioned for Jersey to sit down, “Come on. It can be fun and a whole lot better, if there are four people playing instead of three. And a way to pass time until we get bored or think of something better!”
Dana smirked and rubbed her hands together: “So who’ll start? Judith maybe, as she made the suggestion? Or shall we spin a wand to see who’ll get lucky number one?”
Judith was glad Jasmine was willing to play; she knew how shy Jasmine could get when surrounded by a lot of people especially if some of them are new. Dana then sat down as well and seemed to rather like the idea. Judith looked up at Jersey expectantly, hoping she would play so they could all get to know each other better. Judith was snapped out of her reverie by Dana asking how they would find out who started and suggesting Judith be the first to go because it was she who had thought of it.
“Oh no problem I’ll go first.” Judith said. Someone had to start this thing off and since it was her suggestion it was only fare she be the one to do it. “I think I’ll be brave and go with truth. It’s too easy to do a dare because you just do what you’re told. But truth you have to let people in. So I’m going with truth and that is my final answer.” Judith babbled quoting some muggle show she watched at a friend’s house over the summer.

Dana raised an eye-brow and thought about it for a moment. She had thought that Judith would be the first one do ask someone the truth or dare someone, but if she wanted to go first, she was alright.
“So – any questions to Judith, anyone. As we don’t have anyone special asking anyways,” Dana grinned shifting herself into a bit more comfortable position, “And by the way – is the person who challenged someone to a dare or truth is the only one who may ask the question or tell the truth? I think that was the case, although my mind is a little foggy about it.”
Dana shrugged and stretched her legs out, crossing them at her ankles and grinning: “So – what do we want to find out about Judith?”
Jersey stood staring around at the other kids, more than she payed attention to what the girls were saying. She looked down at the ground and brushed her hair out of her face. Listening intently now she heard Judith suggest truth or dare. Dana began to egg her on, and soon enough Jersey thought that she had nothing better to do, so therefore, shrugged and replied with "Whatever." Kicking the snow a bit, Jersey walked over to a the bench and took a seat with the rest of the 3 girls, hoping that in fact she was welcome in this group.
Jersey smiled, as Judith said she'd take a truth first. Thinking of what she could ask Judith, she smiled coldly as millions of ideas flew threw her mind, but not one seemed right. Finally, however, Jersey put up her index finger to indicate that she in fact had come up with something. Bending over a bit to see Judith, for Jersey was on the end, and had not been sitting next to her. "Judith," she began with good intensions. "Who was your first kiss?" As Jersey sat back, she thought to herself, that the question was pretty lame, but oh well, she thought.

When Dana asked what they wanted to know about Judith she got nervous. Jersey then sat down and Judith smiled happily. Jersey was turning out to be agreeable enough and truth or dare was good for getting to know someone. Judith did continue to worry though; watching the three of them trying to think of something to ask that would blow the lid off her secrets. She noticed a cold smile cross Jersey’s face and contemplated changing to dare. It was too late though; Jersey raised her finger indicating she had a question.
“Who was your first kiss?” Jersey asked. Judith breathed a sigh of relief that it was something she could easily answer. She then blushed as she realised she would have to tell a story she cared so much about. Judith was very glad the cold had already turned everyone’s cheeks pink so hopefully no one would notice.
“Well…” she began, “when I was thirteen my parents brought me to Denmark over Christmas break. We were there to visit my cousins in Copenhagen. On New Years Eve they had a party and the cousin my age had his best friend, who thankfully spoke English, over. So we flirted shamelessly all night, he was so cute with the nicest blue eyes. So all us kids were in the basement having a party of our own. Someone suggested we all pick partners to kiss at midnight… and he picked me.” She finished blushing bright red.
“Its not the greatest story and it’s very cutesy but it’s the truth.” Judy said. “So… Jersey; truth or dare?”
Dana didn’t really have anything she would want to ask from Judith at that moment, so she looked at Jersey and Jasmine, waiting for them to ask something. Jersey raised a finger and asked about Judith’s first kiss. Dana smiled as Judith answered. It was a cute story.
Judith asked Jersey who had decided to sit down and play. Dana wondered briefly if she would pick truth or dare and silently decided she would pick a dare first when her turn came up. But for now she waited for Jersey’s answer and Judith’s question. Or dare. Whatever the case would be.

Jersey sat intently listening to Judith's story, she had been hoping the kiss would be someone they knew, but then thought of her first kiss and how he had been a family friend. As Judith finished up, Jersey had quite a feeling she would be next, and she was correct. Judith had spoken, asking "Truth or dare?" to Jersey.
Jersey had been sitting in a slouching posistion, and as soon as the question was proposed to her, she sat up and began to think. A dare, was always fun, but she had just been getting to know these girls, and she thought that maybe they would want to get to know her as well. A good dare could always come later in the game. Smiling, Jersey turned to Judith saying "truth" and then sat back thought of what Judith could possibly ask.

Judith waited tapping her fingernails on the bench quietly as Jersey decided between truth and dare. When truth was selected Judith sat back and bit her lip, wondering what to ask Jersey. She wanted to know what the other girls had in mind, but didn’t ask as that may be seen as cheating. Judith started twirling her wand in the air sending harmless little red sparks flying around hoping for some inspiration. She studied the girl’s face for some signal as to what she could ask but nothing came to mind.
The sparks turned gold, then silver, then green and suddenly Judith thought of something. It was not the best question in the world, but it would help them get to know the other girl better Judith hoped. She sat forward and looked Jersey straight in the eye a broad smile on her face. “Jersey” she began “why do you think the sorting hat placed you in Slytherin?” she asked hoping for a good answer. She had a feeling that there was a good answer to that question not ‘because I’m evil’ or ‘because I only care about myself’ like she would expect from some of the serpants.

Jersey sat with her elbows on her knees, her hands covering her face and her hair dangling all around She sat and listened as Mary purposed the question, “why do you think the sorting hat placed you in Slytherin?” Jersey continued to sit in her posistion for a brief moment, and then when the time was right she removed her hands and swung her head up, making her hair fly in all directions. She looked up at the sky and began to think. 'Why was I put in Slytherian?' she thought to herself.
Looking deeply in thought up at the sky not caring about how long her response took, she immediately thought 'grandma'. Looking back down at the ground and towards the 3 girls, mostly towards Mary because that's who asked her the question. Jersey opened her mouth, and began to answer the question, "Well, Mary, I applaud you for the question first off," she started out saying with a smile, "But I really couldn't tell you an answer, I mean, my parents were both Slytherian, and growing up, I learned very quickly that life wasn't all it's cracked up to be. I lived with my grandmother and she was a horrible person, and of course, her crudeness rubbed off on me. Sounds kind of weird I know, but when you live with someone as mean as her, you learn that you need to speak up for yourself, and give an attitude. And I've kind of kept the attitude." Jersey sighed and sat back on the bench, in a continual daze. However, she managed to get out her last remarks, "I know it's a different kind of answer, or what not, but it's the truth, and the truth isn't always the greatest. Jersey said with a tid bit of a sad look.
Jersey, then Jersey turned to Dana and smiled. "Truth or dare?"

Dana didn’t react in any way to Jersey’s answer, although she did think a little. Yes, some of the pure-blood families still held up to old traditions, and Dana knew life wasn’t too easy for the children of those families. Dana’s family besides her mother, who had eloped with her muggle father, was all pure-blooded for centuries. The Graas tree-line was rather famous in France, although very few people knew Dana was a part of it. Her grand-parents, who were the purest line of the family tree, were rather modern and Dana was brought up nicely, in a loving environment, but she had enough pure-blooded friends in France, to know that this wasn't always the case with pure-bloods. Dana blinked at Jersey, before her mouth curved in to sly smirk. She wanted ot see how high stakes the game would turn to: “Dare me.”
(( ooc - didn't you mean Judith instead of MAry? ))

((Oh man, I didn't even notice I did that )) "Dare me." was Dana's response to the truth or dare question in which Jersey purposed. 'Man, I hate giving dares.' Jersey thought as she smiled pretending like she knew a good dare. Jersey heard noise behind her and turned her head towards the back to check it out. She noticed a bunch of noisy kids running aaround in the area in which the girls were sitting. Jersey saw this as a perfect dare oppurtunity. Smiling, Jersey turned to Dana, and pointed to the kids running around in the direction behind them. "See those kids over there." Jersey began, "Well I want you to run over to their group and get their attention. Once you have their full attention, I would like for you to sing. What you sing, I don't care, just pick any old song and sing." Jersey had not given this dare full thought, for she could have made her do much worse. However, it was all fun and games, and this would be fun. "And if you're a wonderful singer, then props to you. You got this one in the bag." Jersey finished off with a smile.

Dana turned around and glanced at the children, Jersey mentioned and smirked. She could hold a tune – she wasn’t the best singer around, but she didn’t suck either. “Consider it done,” Dana stood up and smiled at the other three girls, ”I’m not that good, so to prove to you I am singing, I’ll use the ‘Sonorus’ charm. Otherwise you probably wouldn’t hear me.”
Dana walked over to the first years playing with snow, thinking about what to sing on her way over. She smiled slyly, as she got an idea. This was all for good fun, anyway, so she might as well put on a small show.
“Hey, you!” Dana shouted after getting close enough. The first years turned around surprised and looked at Dana curiously. Dana pulled out her wand and whispered ‘Sonorus’, pointing it to her throat, before starting to sing.
"I'm a little tea pot short and stout. Here is my hand, here is my spout,” Dana sang out loudly, following the nursery rhyme’s tune without difficulties, as she placed her left hand on her hip and throwing her head snobbishly up raised her right one up and standing like that continued: “When I get all steamed up here me shout. Tip me over and pour me out.” With the final words Dana tipped herself over and bowed deeply to the first years, who were laughing loudly.
Dana grinned herself as well, taking the charm from her voice and heading back to the benches, where the others sat. “I picked my song,” Dana said with a broad grin, brushing her cheek with her knuckles and trying to hold in her giggling, “And performed. Applause isn’t necessary.”
Dana couldn’t help herself and burst out laughing. After calming down again, she shook her head, still smiling broadly and turned to Jasmine, who was the only one, who hadn’t had to do anything yet. “Truth or dare, Jasmine?”
Jersey watched with satisfaction of Dana sang 'I'm a little teapot' to the younger kids. As Dana finished up, Jersey had been laughing hysterically, as Dana was coming over Jersey spoke while still getting out the last of her giggles. "Nicely done my friend." she said. "And applause is necessary." Jersey smiled and clapped her hands loudly.
Jersey turned around and looked back at the kids. They too were still laughing, but a couple of them looked confused at what had just happened.
"Truth or dare?" Dana said to Jasmine. Jersey sat back and awaited for Jasmine to respond.
