Tired of My common Room ((Anyone))

Lark was the first one out of charms that after noon. She had just gotten a new book for her birthday about Animagis and she was just about to finish it, like any other Ravenclaw she was obsessed with books. She hurried back to the Ravenclaw tower to deposit her books and change, the black in the school uniforms made her look even paler than normal, into jeans and her softest blue sweater. Lark grabbed her new book and hurried out of her empty dorm, she hated reading in there because it was always so quite. In the common room were other Ravenclaws all studying and reading, but Lark wanted a change of scenery so she headed down to the student lounge.

There were only a few students in the lounge but it wasn't at all quiet, enough of the students were humming or talking quietly among themselves and this was just the way Lark liked it. Over in a some what secluded there was only a few people sitting there, doing their own things. She sat in one of the empty chairs it was brown with red flowers on it. The chair was soft enough for her to get really comfortable, it was one of the softest chairs she had sat in outside of the Ravenclaw's common room, and large enough to pull her feet up next to her. She cracked open the book to where she had stopped the night before, three fourths of the way finished, and began to read flipping the pages every few minuets. After a about five minuets Lark got tired of her loose hair falling into her face so she put it up into a ponytail and returned to reading.

Several books tucked under her small arm, Flare Lenshian strode into the Student Lounge with a small smile on her face. After a particularly interesting Transfiguration class, the second year entered the large room, intending to pop open a book and pour through it before heading off to Defence Against the Dark Arts. She approached a chair nearest to a girl she recognized as a Ravenclaw named Lark and flopped into it, placing her books on the small table beside her and grabbing the one from the top, an old Defence Against the Dark Arts book, which Flare was rarely seen without.

"Hi," she said in a voice just above a whisper, well aware that nobody (especially Ravenclaw's) liked to be disturbed to much while they were reading. Flare gave a quick smile and opened her book to a particularly short chapter on water demons of Britain and Ireland. Flare's green eyes peered across the room, catching sight of a Slytherin boy she did not know, who had quite a sour look on his face. Flare rolled her eyes, if there was anything worse then a stereotypical Ravenclaw- it was a stereotypical Slytherin. "Looks like you've got an admirer-" Flare said to Lark with a small smirk as the Slytherin boy glared in their direction. With a small sigh, she returned to her book, shaking her head slightly.

((P.S...I know I said Flare is a second year in this post- I guess that's cause I only assume this post is happening before the summer holidays and so Flare would still be a second year...Lark, if I am wrong, just lemme know.))

((Seth- I know I am new here and really had no place to say anything but, I have been RP'ing for quite some time and in most places it isn't always welcome when someone controls someone else's character without their permission- I don't mean to offend you or anything, but I just thought I'd let ya know.))

Seth noiticed another girl looking at him. He just made a small smirk and continued reading. He had seen that look before and it was the look that he thought said oh great a slytherin. He got a little angry. But he just pushed that thought out of his head. He was deep in thought when he was tired and wanted to stop studying. He walked over to the girl who had looked at him earlier. He gave a small smirk and said "what do you want?"

Flare, who had just returned to reading her book was extremely frustrated when her focus on the water demons of Britain and Ireland was interrupted by that same foul-looking Slytherin boy who had been looking at Lark. "I beg your pardon?" Flare said, staring up at the boy, tilting her head slightly and raising her eyebrow. Her emerald eyes stared into his and folded her book closed over hand to mark her place. "I am sorry boy, but I believe it must be you who wants something- as you have approached me." Flare continued to eye the boy. It wasn't as if Flare was one of those people who had anything against all of Slytherin house- just the one's she observed who seemed to have it in their minds that they were better than everyone else.

"If you have something say Sir, I suggest you say it or go back to where you were sitting as I am quite involved in my book." Flare opened her book again and began to read.

Seth just scoffed. He said"I saw you glaring at me". He was surprised she didin't say anything besides do you want something. He then smirked at what book she was reading. "Reading up on your water deamons?" Seth said. "They are pretty interesting aren't they?" She then looked at the girl sitting next to her an wondered why she wasn't speaking up. Then he looked at the small girl in front of him. He thought she was a Ravenclaw but didn't know for sure. He wondered if he should just go sit down or continue talking. He was fed up with her. He then went and sat back down because he didn't want to talk to her anymore. She seemed preoccupied and mean.He just opened his potions book and started reading about how to make a cure for petrified people. As it was only his 2nd year at the school and he didn't want to make any enemies just friends.

Not much could desturb Lark when she was reading, all of her just floated away with the book, but today she made an exception. A boy that Lark knew as Seth, she had helped him with his homework once before, intered the room and shortly after him intered a girl that she recognized but didn't quite know who she was. All of a sudden they began to bicker over one of the stupidist things, who looked at who, this made Lark look up at the two of them. They talked away wanting to outwit each other neither of them succeeding, but coming in close, until they both just gave up.

"What's this"? Lark said to Seth as he walked away. "A Slytherin backing down"? She said it in as much of a joking way as possible. "The Seth I know never backs down from a challenge" She said all this in a joking way hoping he would take it the right way. "And to a lowly Ravenclaw" she was joking with the girl too and also hoped she wouldn't take it the wrong way.

He didn't want to make an enemy so he just walked away. Then a much older girl who had helped him with his homework once before, named Lark insulted him. He gave a small glare at her and frowed. He just walked away with anger. He thought that he should insult them back but he didn't know. He sat back down and glared at them for a long time. He stuck his nose into his potions book and ignored them. He was very agatated. He wanted to do the leg locker curse on them but decided not to. So he just found a cool picture of a little tiny stick person in his book and said vigroro it came to life and danced around. Seth laughed. He thought that this was very funny. He pushed the too foul smelling girls out of his head.

Jammy watched these three students suspiciously from a far off corner. Frowning, she stood up and gathered her books together. She walked up to Lark and Flare, two girls she knew by sight but had never spoken to them before now.

"That was not a very nice thing you did to Seth." Jammy told the girls. "If there's one thing that bothers me, it's the fact that there's a lot of bias against other houses. Now I'm going to sing you a song, and I want you to go and apologize to Seth."

Jammy took a deep breath, then launched herself with gusto into a song she improvised on the spot.
"We can all live together, in our different ways . . . With our friends, and our enemies, too . . . Stars and Rainbows unite us, Kutite us, Moonite us . . . TONIGHT!"
