Trinity sat quietly in the large student lounge, her torn jeans and black blouse gracing her body, looking over her potions book to prepare for exams. She wasn't nervous but she wanted to be aware of knowledge before walking into the exam cocky and leaving a fool. She took out her booklet of parchment, writing down all the potions they had learned before opening her book to the correct pages for review. She knew the test wouldn't be hard, she had aced all of the potions in class.
A few hours later Trinity yawned and stretched her arms out widely, it was getting late. She didn't notice how much time had actually gone by until she looked out the window and saw the sun had abandoned the sky. She rubbed her eyes tiredly before getting up and grabbing her bags. She headed towards the portrait and waited patiently as it opened. When the portrait had opened wide enough, she was shocked to see a younger slytherin standing outside.
She looked the girl up and down, her brown hair dangling in front of her face and her almond eyes filled with intimidation. Deciding she wasn't worth her time, Trinity cockily moved to one side, waiting for the girl to pass by. The younger and obviously intimidated Slytherin tried to move to the side only to find herself standing in front of Trinity yet again. Trinity sighed and gave the girl a slight glare, "Is there something that you need?" she stated impatiently to the girl, not really caring about her answer, "I'm in a bit of a hurry.. it's getting late and I have an exam tomorrow." Trinity sat staring at the girl in front of her, waiting for her reply... If she would get one that is.

Karlie strolled absent-mindedly down the empty corridor twards her common room, humming an off-key version of "Weasley Is Our King". She was in the second verse and within arms reach of her common room before she realized she had left her book, "The Weird Sisters: A Biography" in the student lounge. She muttered a few curse words under her breath before turning back and continuing on with her version of "Weasley Is Our King"
She was continuing her stroll when she heard a commotion in a nearby classroom and glanced into the slightly ajar door to see what was making so much noise. She deeply regretted this, however, as the commotion was being caused by Peeve's. Spotting her, Peeve's began to chuck bottles of ink at her head. Screeching, Karlie ducked for cover and ran the rest of the way to the lounge, Peeve's tailing her all the way. Just before she reached the portrait she ran into Professor McGonagall, who chased off Peeve's.
Karlie arrived at the lounge looking slightly disheveled and her hair dangling in her face. She reached to open the portrait, but just before she grabbed it, the door swung open. There stood another slytherin, slightly older than herself, looking Karlie up and down with a look of annoyance on her face. Trying to be polite and let her by, Karlie stepped aside, only to find that the other girl had done the same.
"Is there something that you need?" the girl stated impatiently, "I'm in a bit of a hurry.. it's getting late and I have an exam tomorrow."
"Not really," she replied coldy, returning her glare and refusing to back down, "Just to get to my things without being bombarded with other people's problems."

Trinity smirked at the girl's comment, "Oh, I see," she said continuing her glare. She leaned against the wall Cooley, placing a hand on her hip, only after she had set her things to the floor. "It's odd you know," Trinity said, "I've never met a young Slytherin, such as yourself, who has the gaul to give me attitude." Trinity eyed the girl again, laughing at her strewn appearance, "I never thought I would see the day, especially not from one of your stature," Trinity smirked trying to conceal her amusement.
Trinity brushed her own hair behind her ears and smoothed her black blouse before inquiring, "So if you're not here to hear about 'my problems'," she said, "Then why are you here?" She already knew the answer to this, but if she could annoy the girl as much as the girl did to her, then everything was going to be fine. "It wouldn't happen to be for this now would it?" Trinity said with a slight smirk, reaching down to grab and hold up the book she had found in the lounge. It was a slightly worn copy of 'The Weird Sisters: A Biography' Trinity flipped through the pages casually before stating, "You don't actually listen to this nonsense do you?" Trinity knew that they were quiet popular in the wizarding world, especially among mudbloods, but she preferred not to drown herself in such ignorant noise.
Trinity tossed the book to the ground before continuing, "I myself prefer classics such as the Purebloods and the Animagus. That's what real music is, not this rubbish," she said referring to the book on the ground. Trinity kept her glare on the girl, waiting for her to step aside so she could leave, Trinity wasn't about to back down the younger student.

Karlie smirked in satisfaction as the girl commented on her nerve. She knew she had shocked the girl and was thoroughly pleased with herself. She was not going to be treated like some insignificant wall decor. Karlie resumed her cold glare and narrowed her almond shaped eyes, however, as the girl made a remark about her appearance. It wasn't that she cared about what this girl thought of her or her appearance, but her condescending attitude was getting on Karlie's nerves. None the less in one quick motion Karlie brushed her honey brown hair out of her almond eyes and smoothed out her wrinkled black robes.
She was about to step around the girl and into the lounge when the girl pulled out her book made several insulting comments before tossing it on the ground. Refusing to kneel before the girl, Karlie took out her wand and summoned the book with a quick "accio book." She placed the book safely in her pocket before replying in a cold tone, "As a matter of fact, I do listen to this rubbish, as you call it along with many other things, including The Pureblood's" She then waited for the girl to move, while glaring defiantly into her cold green eyes. She was determined not to back down.

Trinity looked the girl up and down before picking up her things and holding out her hand, "The name is Trinity, Trinity Jade." She watched patiently as the girls scowl faded and she reached out for her hand. She was a bit proud of the girl for not taking crap from Trinity, only as coward would back down. She walked passed the girl, nudging her slightly aside before turning and smirking slightly. "I assume you're going to the common room?" Trinity said knowingly, "What are you waiting for?" she waited patiently for the girl to gather her things and join her on her walk to the dungeons.

Karlie smiled, relief flowing through her. She didn't dislike confrontation, but like most people she much proffered friendly conversation with a fellow slytherin. "I'm Karlie Youngblood, third year," she said in a casual way as she began her walk to the common room, Trinity alongside her.
"So, about the music thing" she said in an off-hand tone, trying to strike up a conversation "do you ever listen to muggle music? I mean I know muggles are completely useless in most matters, but they make some pretty good music occationally..." Karlie realized she had been babbling and stopped abruptly to wait for Trinity's reply, hoping it would be positive.

Trinity stopped and looked curiously at the girl, 'muggle music' she thought distastefully. The girl looked at her with pleading eyes, "Well, I've heard some of it, it's ok I guess," she sighed. They continued walking down the hallway towards the common room. When they hit the portrait Trinity muttered the password and then looked toward Karlie as the portrait swung open, "Why do you ask?" she questioned, "Any reason in particular?" Trinity walked through the portrait whole and sat on one of the big couches in the common room. She yawned loudly while stretching her arms and waited for Karlie's reply, she was interested in what the girl had to say.

Karlie flopped onto the couch opposite of Trinity and let of a sigh of comfort before replying. "Well you see, I have these tickets to a muggle concert." she said, closing her eyes and resting comfortably on the couch, "I invited this young child to go with me, but that turned out to be a huge mistake and I didn't take her. Since I have an extra ticket and you seem to like music I was wondering if you would be interested in going with me."
Karlie opened her eyes and looked over at Trinity, waiting for her reply. She realized, with happiness, that Trinity look fairly interested in what she was saying. 'I hope she says yes.' Karlie thought, 'She would definitely make a better companion than my last choice'

Trinity looked at the girl strangely as she began to invite her to a concert, a muggle concert to say the least. She scowled slightly, despising the thought of being surrounded by muggles.
She thought momentarily, she hated muggles, but she adored their clothes. What if their music wasn't half bad? Trinity looked to the girl and shrugged slightly, "Yeah sure, when is it?" She looked back down to her books to lazy to reach for them and sighed, she was so tired.

Karlie was so happy when Trinity said yes. She had not wanted to go to the concert alone. "It's this Friday" she said with a smile, "The concert starts at 10:00 pm." Just then a blur of black lept onto her lap... it was her kitten, Jack. He began to rub up against her hands, demanding that she pet him. She began to absent-mindedly stroke him, scratching behind his ears as he began to purr loudly. "I'll meet you here at 9 then?" she asked as she continued to stroke the cat.

Trinity yawned largely as she stretch her arms widely above her head, she was beginning to get very tired. Karlie's large black cat jumped upon her lap and Trinity began to wonder where her cat, a very large orange tabby named Oliver, had run off to. She hadn't seen him in a few days and she was beginning to worry, she couldn't bare losing him. She stood up and turned to Karlie, "Yeah, I'll see you on Friday," she grabbed her things and turned towards the stairs.
She headed up to her bedroom quickly and headed to her bathroom first thing. She combed her hair and brushed her teeth before heading to her bedroom to get into her pajama's. She slumped down onto her large and comfortable bed resting her head on the soft feather pillow. Her eyes closed and she was asleep almost immediately.
((This thread is pretty much done, we can start one for the concert Outside Hogwarts.))
