Alarice slumped lower into her chair in the Gryffindor common room. The sun had long since set and rain had begun to lash against the windows. The moon was just visable in the velvet black sky, though veiled slightly by a sheet of fog. She had just gotton back from dinner to find her fellow Gryffindors in quite a ruckus that evening. It seemed that a few of the fourth year girls had decided to start a game of truth or dare and it had undoubtelbly attracted the others. Now normally, Alarice would have been one of the first to start playing. She LOVED doing dares. But not tonight. No, tonight she was not in the mood at all to play truth or dare. Especially with her new step sisters, Jamie and Nicole, who were, the leaders of the game. Ever since her mother had gotton remarried, Alarice had had their company forced upon her. And truthfully it was all a little much more than she could take. A new father, new home, and new siblings. Thats it Im leaving! Alarice thought grumpily as Jamie let out a long high pitched screeching giggle. Alarice darted out of the common room, through the portrait hole, and down the coridoors to the Student lounge. Maybe she could hang out there and find someone to talk to. She entered the room, which wasnt too crowded that rainy evening, and slumped into another armchair. She swept up her long sandy blond locks in a pony tail and leaned back to relax, her hazel eyes taking in the room peacfully.

Rosaliz walked down Hogwarts long stretched halls. It seemed to her as if they would never end, even though she knew they did. She had skipped dinner that evening trying to clear her thoughts from the day's event. As she continued to walk she listened to the echo's her shoes produced when she took a slight step. She always loved shoes that tapped on the ground, or stuff that jingled. Rosaliz didn't dare to go into the common room because she knew that some of the other girls were playing truth or dare. Rosaliz would like to join but she just didn't want to get her house in trouble, that's why she never offered for those kind of games.
As she continued to walk listing to her footsteps echo, over the pitter-patter of rain against the windows. She then decided to make her way into the student Lounge. As she walked in, it was full as usual on a rainy day. She took a glimpse around the room. Rosaliz of course didn't recognize anybody but spotted a familiar face. It was a girl in her same house older that her. A third year to be exact. She knew that her name was Alarice but she didn't know her since she never spoke directly to her. She suggested that she should anyways since it was a right time considering that boredom around that room, and the extra amount of time. Rosaliz walked up to her. "Hi, I'm Rosaliz. I believe we're in the same house. Do you mind if I sit with you?" she asked standing there waiting for a reply.

Alarice sat for a while, just watching the people in the room around her, from her comfy armchair in the corner. She was growing tired and really had no desire to get up and start a conversation with any of them. The rain splattered the windows, now accompanied by a few distant rumbles of thunder. Alarice gazed out of the window and down at the Hogwarts grounds. Her mother had met Malcom Miles about a year ago, and had married him after only one month. They had met in Diagon Alley when Alarice had been shopping for school supplies. But their rushed marriage was not the only shocker. What was very strange was that Malcom was a pure blood, with three children, all slytherins, and her mother was a muggle. A muggle! Most pure bloods in the wizarding community wanted absolutely nothing to do with muggles. But then there was Malcom, her new stepfather... Alarice watched the womping willow through the heavy rain for a moment when she heard a girls voice from behind her. "Hi, I'm Rosaliz. I believe we're in the same house. Do you mind if I sit with you?" she asked standing there waiting for a reply. "Yeah sure go ahead." Alarice said with a smile she knew did not fit her mood at the moment, but there was no need to take out her frustration on an almost stranger.

Alyson felt her amulent burn strong. Stopping her almost finished essay she looked down. The amulent was another mystery item from her dead grandfather. The amulent was the sun fading into the moon. The time she felt most powerful. Just as the sun set and, right before the sun rised. As if the amulent a key to leaving her troubles behind. She glanced out the window. The sun was setting. As it was her feeling of power grew stronger and stronger until the sun was completly down.
Turning back to her essay she couldn't pay attention to her work. At last she decided on going to the student lounge. Before leaving she ran up stairs and put up her books. She glanced into the mirror hanging on a nail. Her honey-blonde hair was down. The right side was behind her ear,and the left covering it. Gave a look of mystery.
She made her way to the lounge passing many people on the way. All gossiping about this or that. She too was filled with news but, she hadn't seen her friends all day. Entering the lounge she spotted two Gryffindors. Walking over she gave them one of her winning smiles. " Hi, i'm Alyson mind if I join you?" She asked. The amulent almost glowing around her neck.
