Monday again sadly. Every week had one. Why couldn’t they cut it out some weeks? Like every other week there was only Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Lenora didn’t think that was asking too much. Monday was a bad way to spend one seventh of your life in her opinion. It was a little unfortunate for the day though, having such bad connotations associated with it. It wasn’t really the day’s fault that people slipped into that “Monday state of mind”. It didn’t really matter though considering nothing could be done about it anyways; you just had to try not to be like that yourself. Her card that morning had in fact been ‘The Lovers’ which is about how everything we do is to get away from our feeling of loneliness. Lenora wasn’t quite sure how it related yet today though; she had been having a pretty good day.
It didn’t matter to her at the moment though as the music came though her headphones and she sang along. “I saw her today at the reception A glass of wine in her hand I knew she was gonna meet her connection At her feet was a footloose man You can’t always get what you want You can’t always get what you want You can’t always get what you want But if you try sometimes well you might find You get what you need” Noting the curious glances sent her way though Lenora turned it down so she could hear what was going on around her and stopped singing. Being an actress she really didn’t mind the attention but she wasn’t in the mood to have people looking over warily like she was going to jumping on the furniture any moment.

Robert was busy warking n his new book he was writing. He'd bewitched a quill to write for him as he spoke outloud how the childrens fantasy book would go. He wanted to take a break and try some painting, so he walked on over to get some canvas from his dorm and some paint. He wasn't like most Ravenclaws. He'd always push his homework to the last minute.
When he came back, he noticed that his quill had written down the words to a muggle song. I love that song, Robert thought to himself. But who in Hogwarts would be sining it? He browsed around the room to notice another girl a bit older than him. She had a piece of muggle technoledgy. Being muggle born himself, Robert knew all about it. Electricity never works inside Hogwarts. Was it enchanted? He decided to talk to the girl. "So how'd you get that to work? I brought mine and it wouldn't even turn on."

Lenora smiled up at the boy who had approached her and removed her headphones as he spoke so they hung limply at her neck. “Got it when I was ten. As a surprise for me my mom took it to some guy in Diagon Alley and had it enchanted so it could work here. It runs off magic because all the residue from old spells in the air here messes with electricity. It was perfect because I can still use it back home and my friends don’t know the difference. They actually laugh that I am still using this old thing. I tell them its for sentimental reasons and they believe me. Kind of hard lying to my friends but there really isn’t much else I can do now is there?” She explained happily.
“I'm Lenora Byers, fourth year Gryffindor, by the way.” She introduced herself while moving over on the couch to show there is room for him to join her should he choose. “I'm afraid I don't recognize you – sorry” she said. Take a load off, Annie Take a load for free Take a load off, Annie And you put the load right on me could be heard coming form her earphones but Lenora restrained from singing along. She loved to sing though. She would normally always be singing something; she was near always at least listening to something.

"Yes, well my name's Robert. I'm a third year in Ravenclaw." Robert glanced over at his small pile of homework next to his art supplies. He loved to do many things. before he came to Hogwarts, he'd gone to a school for the arts. He missed art and felt as though it should be part of this school. "Hogwarts could do with a drama club. I'm a lot of people would try it." Robert sat down in a chair.
"That's the one thing I miss about my old school." Robert hated being around his friends after his wizarding powers took root. "Weird things would involuntarily happen and I'd have to lie to my friends about them. In the end I think I went mad so I told my best friend. That was a bad decision. She told everyone and the Department of Magic sent over a few people to erase their memories of the whole thing. After that, I just shunned myself from all other people except my parents." Trying to change the subject, Robert asked, "So what do you like to do?"

Lenora nearly squealed at the mention of a drama club. No sound literally escaped but she thought that was a brilliant idea. "That it most certainly should. The only problem with that for me would be that it may interfere with my rehearsals for Romeo and Juliet this summer. And I certainly can not let anything get in the way of that. Why it was a huge leap of faith for them to select me as the lead knowing I am in boarding school and will not be able to rehearse with the rest of the cast until this summer. Next year I say you and I head one though; how about it?" She suggested with a grin knowing if he was serious it could actually work. She was well aware that people were not joking when they called her a Drama Queen and she took it as a complement in the highest form; and as a Ravenclaw he would have good organizational skills which was just what she lacked.
Suddenly Robert started speaking about how the ministry had erased the memories of people he knew but tried to change the subject by asking what she enjoyed doing. "Well I enjoy doing many things. My passion though lies in the field of the preforming arts. But that is just awful about your best friend telling. I am quite grateful I had my mother in the magical world and so if I felt the need I could get her to take me shopping in Diagon Alley or something. I assume this means you are a muggleborn then? Although I can relate to your frustrations somewhat. My home looked like any other muggle dwelling but I would never bring my friends home. I was always too scared my mother would apparate into the room or an owl would arrive or my little brother would turn on the WWW and my secret would be out." Lenora said not letting him out of the topic that easily. Normally she wasn't one to pry and she usually would not press a topic but the way it had just come out of him like that gave her an inkling he wanted to discuss it and so she was willing to push it.

((I downloaded an adware killer and ever since I ran it, my computer's been running perfectly. Yeah!!!!!))
"Drama club," Robert muttered to himself while wondering whether anyone would be interested. "It could be fun. We could even be the people in charge." Robert thought back to his old school in America. He was had of just about everything except sports which he'd never been any good at. " I was the editor in chief on the school newspaper. I'm really good with planning and organizing." Being a Ravenclaw, he could sometimes be a little controlling. If we start it next year, that will give us so many things to plan, skits, maybe we could even do a little play." Then Robert suddenly stopped. He'd only just realize that he was going on and on and on about it like it would be the coolest thing in the world. And yet she was being very casual about it. Robert blushed slightly and itched the back of his head. It was a weird habit of hi and he only did it when he felt stupid or embarrassed. "maybe we could keep in touch over the summer using owl post? I've got an owl at school and his sister's being taken care of by my mom."
Mentioning his mom's name made Robert think back to what they'd been talking about. "My mom's really interested in the wizarding world. She been trying so hard to get the ministry to hook up our fireplace to the floo network. She absolutely loves magic. It's a shame that she can't tell anybody and we don't live anywhere near any other wizarding families. Maybe we'll see each other in Diagon Alley next year. Then out parents could meet. " Robert smiled and hoped that Lenora and he could be friends.

Lenora grinned as he seemed to like the idea of a drama club. The he started rhyming off a few things that would make him qualified for organizing it and she got excited, her hunch had been correct. When he blushed and seemed embarrassed though she knew she would have to assure him she thought it was a great idea as well. She sprang from her seat and attempted to grab his hands in order to spin him around the room she was so excited. ((Whether she succeeds is up to you )) “Of course we will keep in touch this summer. We can even brainstorm ideas for what we can do to take some of the strain of planning out next year if we do end up doing this. I can tell you that you don’t have to worry about me able to handle it though. I am not sure how much help I can be this summer though because I will be in a play. Oh you should come see me on August 24th. I will be playing Juliet in London in a production of, obviously, Romeo and Juliet. I was so surprised they said I could still be in it when I have to spend the year here and miss so many rehearsals with the rest of the cast. Very glad though, very glad indeed. You should definitely come see me.” She rambled happily. She jumped back on the couch with two little bumps as he mentioned his mom loving the wizarding world and them meeting in Diagon. “Sure we can get our school stuff together if you like. But I know what you mean about the not able to tell anybody. I mean as much as I love my friends and all I always hated lying to them about where I got something or why they never meet my grandparents on my mothers side when they came down to visit or why I seldom let anyone come over and definitely never when it was unplanned and my mother didn’t know to expect anybody. I mean I knew it was necessary for all of our safety but it was kinda lonely holding this secret within myself you know? Still feel guilty when I go home and they ask about school. I have to tell them Snape is my chemistry teacher and Vector is math and things.”
