“Be my, be my baby, my one and only, be my, be my baby” Lenora sang along to the music blasting through her headphones. Saturday was her favorite night; but it had nothing to do with it being the weekend. Oh no, it was because Saturday was the night that the WWN played muggle oldies; the kind of music she was raised on. As the song came to a close she looked around and smiled at the people who were giving her odd looks before taking her headphones off. She didn’t mind odd looks, she was used to them, but she didn’t want to disturb those around her by singing. The music still played around her neck but she had it quiet enough that it wouldn’t disturb anybody else as she flipped the page of her book. She had always found this part strange; Mr. Antolini was rubbing Holden’s head in his sleep…<br> She put the book down beside her somewhat perturbed and stared into the fire. She adored the book but that part was usually more than she could stomach. The fire crackled and popped before her and Lenora looked around the lounge. She noticed a familiar face and gave a huge wave “Ashley” she shouted at the girl in her year. The two girls didn’t know each other that well but they were in the same year and overly energetic so classes were often entertaining and Lenora had been planning on getting to know her better.

((I am so sorry Lenora about not posting to this any sooner. I haven't been feeling very inspired. But I'm back with a whole new Ashley energy. I am sure that they would be prefect friends.))
Ashley ran down that hall way like there was no tomorrow well it was Saturday but still. A huge shoulder bag was thumping against her legs as she ran twirling around the corridor dancing to her music. "Have you ever wondered what life is about? You could search the world and never figure it out. You don't have to sail all the oceans no, no, no. Happiness is no mystery it here and now it you and me yeah." Ashley sang into the hallway when some one tall stepped right in front of her holding their hands out in her face. Taking off the head phones, Ashley eyed the person and smiled as it only was a Professor. But which one? Could it be Snape? But this person didn't look like him at all. Professor Snape scared Ashley for asking such random questions.” You think you can run like that!" said while Ashley was still thinking of who this person was. It was Madame Prince! Madame Prince was the Liberian who Ashley would never come to an agreement with.” It’s a Saturday Madame Prince...Supposed to be for fun.....Not learning." Ashley said in her sweet little tune of voice and smiled. The old lady rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath and went back to her business in the library.
"One.....Two.......Three......And I am off!" Ashley called under her breath and ran down that hallway at lighting bolt speed. Her hair started to fall from its pony tail and she would just blow the stands out of her face. A smile was placed on her face and her eyes were already lit up. Stopping in the middle of the hall, Ashley looked down the corridor to her left and the corridor to her right. Which one to go down was the question? Putting her hand to her chin she tapped it wondering where she wanted to go. The hallway to her left would lead towards the courtyard and the grounds of Hogwarts while the other would take her to the Student lounge. Looking out the window Ashley wondered if she should spend another full day of going outside. "Lounge it is. Legs lets go." Ashley said turning the volume up on her CD player and marching down the corridor pretending to twirl a Patton around in her hands.
Once upon reaching the lounge, Ashley opened the doors and pecked her head inside. There weren’t many people inside but enough to make her even more excited. Smiling she walked further into the lounge and saw some people playing wizard chess and looked quite concentrated on the game. Turning her head to the left slightly, Ashley watched the game happen with an awe look on her face. How could those checkers things move like that? "It’s magic Ash gosh..." Ashley told herself under her breath and noticed someone call her name. Turning around swiftly to see Lenora Ashley gasped and ran over towards her friend almost knocking her out her seat. Taking her hand Ashley turned up her own CD player and began singing while dancing around the room with this girl she barely knew. "Open your eyes. Shout to the sky. Then I see you smiling, I go oh oh oh. Yesterday my life was duller. Now everything's Technicolor." Ashley sang stirring Lenora around the room and singing rather loudly.

Almost surprisingly Ashley seemed to hear Lenora and came bounding over. Lenora could hear the blasting of Ashley’s music over her own and allowed the other girl to lift her out of seat and swing her around. “Hey now, hey now, this is what dreams are made of…” She sang along giggling to one of her favourite songs. Modern pop was nothing compared to the classics but… when ‘Whiter Shade Of Pale’ has been played twenty times in one day something more modern is great. The girls finished spinning before Lenora collapsed on the couch once more in a fit of giggles as the sing ended.
“So Ash; how’s it going?” Lenora asked with her music still hanging around her neck. “Why do you keep a coming around paying with my heart? Why don’t you get out of my life and let me make a new start? Let me get over you the way you’ve gotten over me.” she sang along silently to the music coming from her own earphones. Nodding her head to the music Lenora sat with a huge grin on her face.

Ashley grinned as Lenora started to dance with her. Spinning around the room with a huge smile on her face she turned up the volume on her CD player and began to dance even faster. Ashley loved many varieties of music and pop was one of her favorites. Hilary Duff was okay singer and Ashley loved the melodies to her songs and the artist words really meant something. "Hey now. Hey now. This is what dreams are made of. I've got somewhere I belong. I've got somebody to love. This is what dreams are made of..." Ashley finshed the song twirling Lenora around in her arms and giggling as another muggle pop song blasted through her head phones.
Lenora took a seat on the couch and asked Ashley how she had been doing. Taking a seat next to her friend, Ashley dangled her legs over the edge and thought about what to say. "I guess I'm fine. What about you Lenora?" she finally said listening to Lenora soft voice sing. It reminded her of home and how her father would always whistle a tone under his breath. Taking a deep breath Ashley bobbed her head to the muggle music singing softly so no one could hear her. "Seen that ray of light. And it's shining on my destiny. Shining all the time. And I wont be afraid. To follow everywhere it's taking me. All I know is yesterday is gone. And right now I belong. Took this moment to my dreams." Ashley sang under her breath waiting for Lenora to speak.

Lenora raised an eyebrow at Ashley as she stated she was ok, about to question what was wrong, but Ashley asked about her first. She smiled at Ash and thought about her answer, was there anything in her life to diminish her mood? With a smile she stated her answer “Well you know, same old, same old. Nothing really interesting has been happening in my life to make it terribly wonderful but there is most definitely nothing wrong with it. Though I did have a rather frightening episode with two older Slytherins, who shall remain nameless for my protection. Luckily it wasn’t me they took their worst out on, but it was a sickening thing to watch. How some people think themselves better due to blood and assume that gives them the right to make everyone else’s lives miserable is beyond me. You know I had to take the poor girl to the hospital wing when they got bored? Thankfully she wasn’t poisoned but she was still quite scratched up.” Lenora babbled her smile diminishing as her words flew on. “But it’s over so it’s not of any import right?” She finished, hoping the topic wouldn’t make Ash uncomfortable, but trying to give her an out in case it did.
