The bell rang as everyone was let out of their last class. Running ahead of the crowds, Sydney ran off to the student lounge. Closing the door being her- she locked it. Hearing a few students knock on the door she said, "I'll open the door in a second hold on!" She said as she threw her bag and books into the corner. Taking out her wand, her eyes glimmered as she knew exactly what she wanted to do. A minute or two passed as the people outside started to get impatient. When she was finished, she walked over to the door and opened it- "Me wee lill Irish shindig is on an off to Begin!" she said in her Irish accent.
The room was dressed in massive amounts of green. The walls colors were changed to a dark green where as different shades of green streamers flew across the room. The fire was yellow and orange in all of its glory, but with every crackle shamrocks fell into the fire. Cauldrons of peices of chocolate covered in golden wrappers were seated on the main working tables, alond side cookies, cake, and a green tea. Sydney smiled at her work as a few people walked into the room and awwed at her work.
"Happy Saint Patrick's Day. May yee all be filled with the luck of dee Irish!" She said as she went over to the table and took a cup of green tea. Sipping it, she went and sat down on an emtpy chair.
Sydney lives in Ireland, and thats where her roots were always from. Unlike her father and mother, Syd never carried the Irish accent. Nor have any of her siblings. Of course, every now and then a word slipps but no one can help that. She adores her Irish heritage and her home. Hopeing others will apprieciate her work, she assigned a party. Already talking it over with Professor Flitwick, she was allowed. He also gave her a few charms to do in preperation. Everyone a the last bell of the day was to get a message about the party, whether it be by owl or word of mouth- it would be done.

"What is it?" Robert's owl scratched against the window of the Ravenclaw Common Room. He opened the window and took the message from the owl's leg.
Hey Robert, I heard there's going to be this toally cool party in honor of St. Patrick's day. You've got to be there! Here's the info...
Robert closed the letter and tucked it away into his pocket. Sounds like fun. So he ran off to where it was to be held. Once he got there, he noticed he and a few others were a little early.
"Sorry if we're early," he told the girl who seemed to be hosting. He looked around and smiled. "I like what you've done with the place!" #nosmileys

Catalina pulled on her green socks and found her green striped skirt. Today was the best day of the year! Irish Pride day! As she added bright green ribbons to her hair she looked at the clock on the wall, she had no classes for the day but she was sure to go off and find some other Irish to go celebrate with! She knew of a few but was sure that there would be more lurking about the castle, perhaps a trip to Hogsmeade would do the trick. Leaving the Common Room Catalina proceeded down the hallway towards the stairwell when she saw quite a large group assembling by the Student Lounge. Many of the students were decked out in green, apparently there was some big to do in the Lounge, St. Patrick's do doubt! It was as good a place as any to start the day! Skipping along the hallway towards the lounge Catalina began to sing... If ye Irish come inter te parlor! T'eres a welcome t'ere fer ye! If yer names Timothy or Cat! So longs as ye come from Ireland! T'eres a welcome fer ye on te mat! If ye come from te Mountain of Mourne! Or Killarney's lakes so blue! We'll sing ye a song and we'll make te fuss! Wo'ver ye are ye one of us! If yer Irish t'is place is fer ye!
One by one the students entered the room and as she walked in she found it brilliantly decorated in vibrant shades of green! Though there were a couple students there, she only knew one, Sydney, she was a year younger and a Gryffindor. She did know for a fact that Sydney was Irish and most likely it was her doing that got the lounge in this fine state! Taking out her wand she skipped on over to Sydney while singing another song. When Irish eyes are smiling fer ye sure'n tis like morn spring! In the lilt of te Irish laughter ye can hear te angels singin'! W'en te Irish hearts are 'appy all te world is bright and gay! And w'en te Irish eyes are smilin sure t'ey'll steal yer heart away!
"Top of te mornin' to ye Sydney!" Catalina said as she tapped Sydney on the shoulder and sat down next to her. "Bang on job t'en on te decorating ye kno!? Tis not all rag order like t'at one t'is kid tried las year ye rem'ber t'at one in te lobby? Ye got ter try t'is too!" Catalina held up her wand and pointed it towards the ceiling, "t'is a spell I learned years ago, t'is only good fer te parties and such. "Glitoria green!" Catalina exclaimed and in a flash of bright green light, a dozen sparks flew out from her wand and whirled around the lounge whistling loudly and filling the room with a soft greenish haze. "I was goin' ter try 'Ogsmeade ye know, but maybe tis will be a'right. Did ye make t'at tea by te way?"

Maria sat in Charms waiting for the day to be over. She would normally pay attention to Mr. Flitchwick but her mind was on the special holiday today. St. Patrick’s Day and Irish blood run through her veins. She heard that there was going to be a party in the student lounge to celebrate the special holiday. It could be a chance for her to met some new people and not be so shy anymore. Looking up at the clock she begged for it to ring. Chanting the words under her breath. Finally after ten minutes of waiting it ran and Maria was out of there like a speeding bullet and towards the Gryffindor common room with her bag and books in hand.
After reaching the portrait Maria threw her books on her bed and looked around for her outfit. Today she was planning to go to a party and show her Irish pride. Even know she lived in London, her mother and father side of the family were Irish. "Where could it be?" Maria called out on her knees and throwing things out of her trunk. The other girls looked at her and shock their heads and just left not even caring what today was. That made Maria a little mad but it was always fun to pinch people for not wearing green. It was an old muggle thing she learned from Lou. Her sister was in the United States for all most all her life and brought some of the customs here in London.
Scrumming around on her trunk for what seemed liked forever, Maria pulled out some green nail polish, robins, plaid Irish shirt, a shirt that said 'Kiss me I am Irish', and some green soccer socks. Sitting on her bed, Maria pulled on the socks and wangled and than pulled her shirt on and shirt. Looking in the mirror she braided her hair into pig tails and had green robins running through the braids and at the end. Smiling she pulled on her shoes and finished her nails. She looked almost like a four leaf clover with legs and arms! Giggling Maria picked up her bag and looked at Louie who was quite curious in what she was wearing. Digging around for a green collar, Maria put it on and put a green Robbins on his tail and he looked at her like she was crazy. "Why am I wearing this? Do I get food later?" Maria could guess what he was saying. Laughing she ignored him and walked out of the dorms with full Irish pride.
Walking down the corridors, Maria looked at the students who were not wearing green. A little first year came up to her and looked like she had been a lepardcoon. Pinching him she laughed and continued her way towards the student lounge. Normally Maria wouldn’t appoarch students like that but she was in such a good mood. Spinning around the corridor she reached the student lounge and smiled at the decoration. Everything was so green like a forest with so many trees! Walking further into the lounge, Maria noticed a couple of students her age talking to each other. Walking over towards them she smiled and said, "Top of the mornin' to ye. I see you two lassies are taking all this in like I am. I am Maria nice to m't ye two."
