Laura walked to the student lounge with things almost falling out of her hands – a couple of books, parchment, quills, a handful of different pencils and whatever more. Heaving a breath of relief after dropping al the things on a free temple Laura smiled apologetically at everybody as the clatter draw some eyes to her.
Pulling the hands of her sweater up Lara sat at the table opening one of her books. She really needed to get an essay for Transfiguration done. She would be free to draw for as long as she wished after that. Tugging at her braid to make her concentrate on the work at hand, Laura determinedly pushed her pencils a little further on the table. Picking up her quill Laura started reading her Transfiguration book. Now – why were animal transfigurations difficult to master?
Scribbling down the first sentence Laura started off with work and with some scratching down words managed to get about three-quarters of the essay done, before the temptation to draw got the better of Laura. Pushing the unfinished Transfiguration essay away Laura reached for her pencils and a new scrap a paper and a moment later lines started appearing on the piece of paper. Recalling the riding and camping trip she had gone to with her mom at Easter Laura sketched the horse she had rode. And soon the one small horse turned into many horses eating in the pasture. One grasing here calmly, two fouls chasing each-other happily, a young on throwing his head up proudly with a white horse approaching the chest-nut young stallion who was throwing his head and prancing around anxiously. For Laura all the horses seemed to acquire character and a different personality – Laura wondered briefly if that was why she never could get rid of the pictures and even scribbles she had ever drawn.
Starting to hum silently Laura draw and colored with the noise that never left the Student Lounge seemed to become distant as Laura got lost in her own little world. Starting to hum softly Laura was startled when somebody suddenly touched her shoulder, making the girl jump a little.
