Kelsey looked down at her book with disgust... why did she bother to sit in the Library and read with hopes of relaxing? She hated to read! Kelsey looked at each student sitting quietly, their eyes moving along each line in their stupid books. She sighed and rolled her eyes, looking down at her book once again. She sighed feeling beyond bored and stood, ramming her book down into her bag with such force that it ended up at the very bottom. All eyes looked up at her as she marched toward the Library Doors. The Librarian gave her a questioning glare as Kelsey returned with a sweet smile. She finally got intot he hallway with a feeling of relief. She smiled as an idea came to her.
The Student Lounge! She could run up to her Dorm, grab her Violin and relax by the fire in the Lounge. She smiled and ran up the corridor towards the Hufflepuff common room. She told the portrait the password and entered the Common Room, she was soon bounding up the satir case to the dorms. She crossed the carpet and found her Violin sitting safly in it's case by her bed. She smiled and grabbed the case, plus her music parchment and was soon back down the stairs.
She entered the student Lounge in no time a smile palying on her beautiful face. Kelsey sat down beside the fire and took out her Violin, not caring of the other students sitting around, playing Wizard Chess and reading. Her bow was up and her Violin under chin as the music started to play. Kelsye was slightly consiouc of all the students, but forgot soon enough. She was wrapped up into her music so fast that her arm seemed to move automatically to match the music notes in her head. When she finished her song the students all clapped politely and went back to whatever they were doing. Kelsey rolled her eyes with a smile and looke ddown at her music parchment, searching for another song to play.

Harry was placed in the corner of the student lounge. Sitting on a plush red velvet chair, Harry's head was in a Charms book, something that was normally not seen. He had a test in a few days. Of course he had the talent- but lately his mind was running at wild speeds. First on his mind was Ginny. She was abducted in Hogsmeade a few weeks ago but she was found. She send Hermion, Ron, and himself an Owl the second she arrived home to announce she was safe. That was a huge worry burden off his shoulders and he was thankful Ginny was safe. The second bunch that was on his mind was Julie. Lately Harry and Julie have been seeing each other in the halls and in classes. When he is around her he cant help but smile. She was one thing in his life that was holding himself to sanity, and he was thankful for that. Harry hasnt seen Julie for nearly a week- and of course he was wondering about her.
Flipping a page in his charms book, Harry reached the end of the chapter. He let out a sigh, as he closed his eyes. Rubbing the bridge between his eyes he thought over what he just read. Rotating his wrist, he flicked it as he remembered a charm that he knew would give him trouble. Opening his eyes, Harry set his Charms book on the floor next to him. Picking up a larger book next to him, he set it on his lap. "Potions for NEWT students." Harry read the title on the cover. Harry dispised Snape, as well as he knew the feeling was mutiual. Harry opened up the book as the bindings began to crack from 'lack of use.' Flipping though the pages, Harry had no Idea where to begin.
Seconds later Harry heard a violin begin to be played. The whole room quieted down immensely and listened. A few minutes passed as the girl sitting by the fire Harry joined in. "You are very good at that." Harry spoke. He wasnt that far away from her. He sat in the corner on the same wall of the fireplace, her back was toward him. That was the only problem- she might not know who spoke. Speaking again, "How long have you been practicing the violin?" he said as he placed his Potions book aside, and sat upright in the chair- Harry would like to claim as his own.

Kelsey jumped slightly as someone spoke behind her. The voice she did not recognize. It was from behind her. Kelsey laid her Violin down and turned to face him. Her heart stopped, or felt like it. It was Harry Potter. TheHarry Potter[/i]. Kelsey got over her shock in less than a heart beat. She smiled and shrugged. He commented on how good she was, she remebered.
"I try!" she smiled again. Never in her life would she have thought Harry Potter would talk to her, would comment on her Violin playing. She hated how much she was smiling. It must seem weird to him. She fought the erge to look at his scar and instead answered his question.
"I've been playing since i was..." she thought for a moment, "Oi...seven," she smiled again, "My second foster gave it to me," she looked down in memory, "The orphanage had sent it to her, because my mom's will said she wanted me to have it," She felt she had said too much about herself, but mentally shrugged it off. If Harry thought she was weird, so what.

As the girl turned around, her eyes slightly widened as she saw who spoke. Harry was used to this responce, but didnt mean he liked it very much. It wasnt a reaction he normally saw in this year of school- but seldomly it still arrises from different house students. Forgetting about the look, Harry spoke. "Im Harry, sorry to interupt your practice." the girl began to speak.
Nodding Harry said, "Seven years- thats awhile." The girl kept speaking as Harry listened. She spoke of her foster parents and an orphanage. Harry was shocked. He has never met anyone that went to an orphanage and has foster parent, But Harry didnt show that he was taken back by the idea. "The orphanage? Your Foster parents? Excuse me?" Harry said asking. "You were in an orphanage? Why?" he asked again as he quickly thought what he was asking and spoke again. "You dont have to tell me though." he said reassuring her, she didnt have to share anything with him since they didnt know each other.
Harry was intruiged. He met someone who understands somewhat how he feels- he guesses. How he grew up with a whole different family than his parents.
Thinking back, Harry thought of Sirus. If nothing happened last year- the summer would have been great. But Sirus died. His only family member that wanted to take him in and act as not only a guardian but a friend. Taking a breath- Harry looked back at the girl.

Kelsey tried hard to hide her moment of surprise at meeting Harry, but she knew she had failed. He must think she's stupid now. Kelsey took a deep breath and smiled.
"My mom died when i was little, and since my dad was too sick to take care of me my aunt put me in an orphanage," Kelsey usually didn't share her past with people, but decided Harry wanted to know. Besides, he grew up without any parents, maybe he understood.
"I lived in about three foster homes, and each one sent me back. But when i was eleven, I was sent to Alex's house, she my foster mom right now. I love her so much. " Kelsey sighed and looked back at Harry, hoping he wouldn't laugh or something.

Harry looked at Kelsey with a look of pity. He would hate for someone to go through what he did, but then again her family's might be nicer than his one aunt and uncle. But now- it seems she is happy, which means a lot. "Im sorry." he said as he spoke of her mother and father. "But its good, you're happy now." he said with a grin.
Looking back at her Violin, he spoke "So, how many song do you know how to play?" he said.
(( sorry so short. I didnt really want to get into detail about Harry's family and make him seem upset and what not. Lets keep this happy. ))

((no problem!))
Kelsey shrugged at him being sorry. She was used to having so many foster families. Kelsey agreed she was happy. It had been hard for a long while, but once she found Alex (who's full name was Janice, but she had hated her name so she asked to be called Alex). She was glad she met someone who knew what it felt like to have no parents. Kelsey shook her head, forcing the memories from building up on her.
"Oh yeah, i'm happy!" she felt herself smile. She wasn't very used to new people being so nice to her. She sort of liked it. She decided to be open with Harry, just because she had never been open with anyone before, except Amelia and Jordan, her best friends.
She laughed slightly when Harry asked how many songs she knew. There were too many to count!
"Well, I memorized three or four Violin music books, but for the past three years I've been writing my own music. Up in my dormatory i have about five notebooks full of songs i've written." She looked down at her unfinished song sitting in her lap. Not even a title yet, only Violin notes. She remembered the notebook on the floor next to her and reached down to grab it. She looked on the cover. Written in black ink was:
Love Songs
she bit her lip but then smiled, "This one is my latest one. You can read them if you want," she lifted the notebook up so her could see what she meant. Kelsey definatly wasn't this open with most people, but as she had decided, she was going to be different. She needed some friends. After five years in Hogwarts, kelsey only made two friends... she needed some more!
