A morning of History of Magic and then an afternoon of double potions was not anyone’s ideal Friday. The morning nearly put him to sleep and then Snape for the entire afternoon left him exhausted. Thankfully though, it was over, and he decided that he decided that he needed to get out of the castle, and the best think he could think of for that, was simply going to the lounge. It seemed that he wasn’t the only one with that idea, as there were already a number of students inside, and more seemed to be flooding in every moment. After he pushed through the door, he made his way straight for the fire, which was still roaring as for late February the temperatures had barely begun to warm up outside, and fell heavily onto the nearest couch, letting out a deep breath as he did. It felt good to sit and have it not be in a classroom.

Today was an OK day for Jasmine. History and Magic was in the morning and following with Potions. Even know Jasmine loved the subjects she could still get bored. Pulling her long dark brown hair into a pony tail she picked up her bag and swung it over her shoulders and walked out of the classroom. Jasmine was still in her school uniform but felt too tired to change out of it. Yawning she continued down the hall with a mob of other people. Looking to her right she noticed that it looked quite cold and only seemed as if Valentines Day was the only day for warm weather. But that was alright she could still hang out in the lounge by the fire. Jasmine was glad that Hogwarts made a lounge. It was one place were everyone could hang out to escape from the cold; also it was better than the library where Madame Prince would always yell at you for talking.
Bringing her hand to her mouth she yawned quietly and entered the student lounge. Picking up her shoulder she set it down on the ground of the couch and plopped down. Jasmine was so tired and she never felt this way. It was different and she just wanted to sleep. Taking out her novel she set it down on her lap and made sure her hair was neat. Fixing it around a little she than saw some one out the corner of her eye. "Sorry did I disturb you?" She asked with a questioning look. Jasmine did not know this person who was sitting next to her but deiced she needed more friends.

Hearing someone near him talking he glanced over to see that he had been joined on the coutch by a Ravenclaw girl. He knew quite a few of the Hogwarts students, but this one seemed to have slipped by him. She looked vaguly familiar, he was sure that he had seen her in the Great Hall, or maybe in a joint class between the houses, but they had never spoken before.
Still looking in her direction he gave her and easy smile and shook his head in responce to her question, before looking ahead again and leaning his head back, closig his eyes as he did.
"Your not disturbing me at all. I am just basking in the joy of no potions for two days."
He smiled again, his eyes openeing as he looked over at her again, not bothering to pause before he stretch a hand out towards her.
"Payton Moore, sixth year Hufflepuff"

Katie set her novel aside and stretched herself out. She reached her arms way above her head and uncurled her legs, sticking them straight out. She had not spent very long reading, maybe thirty minutes if that. Katie had just gotten finished with a long day of lessons and needed a little time to relax. She had decided to take a book into the Student Lounge and read for awhile, but what she hadn't counted on was the sudden need to use the restroom. Katie had just ignored it for a while and kept reading her book, but she couldn't ignore it any longer. She placed her book inside her trademark cream hibiscus bag and placed a charm on it so that no one could take it from the couch.
Katie took her time getting to and from the restroom, but upon arriving back in the Lounge she saw two other people had taken to the other cushions on the couch. She walked over to the couch deciding to just take her things and leave. Katie generally wasn't one to impose on other peoples' conversations. "I'm sorry to interrupt," she said to them, picking up her bag. One she recognized as Dillion's twin brother Payton. Katie knew who he was, but she did not know him personally. The other she did not recognize though she did look to be about Katie's age. She nodded swiftly to the two and made to leave.

Jasmine tapped the book that was in her lap lightly. A smiled formed on her face as the boy introduced himself as Payton Moore and extended his arm. She looked at it for a while and took it and smiled, "I am Jasmine Anderson Ravenclaw fifth year." she said and opened her book up. It was a dark colored book and worn out by age. The pages were dusty and some pages were written on. Who could ever right in a book? There is so much to learn in it than write on the words. Sighing Jasmine turned the page looking beyond the hand writings. It seemed to be sucking her into its depths and wanting her to turn the page. This was her reaction to reading all the time, and many other people had the same as well.
Continuing to read she noticed some one else came up to them and set their bag down. Jasmine looked up from her book and smiled at the girl. She seemed to know Payton and said she was sorry for interrupting. "Don't worry we were just talking. But I was reading I don't know what Payton over there was doing in the mean time." Jasmine said glancing over at her new acutance side. "Would you care to join us? I am always up for a good chat?"

Katie smiled politely and nodded. The girl seemed nice, and she could do with a few new friends. "Sure. I'll stay. I'm Katie Robbins. I'm a Hufflepuff fifth year." Katie looked at the kind girl trying to think of where she might have seen her before, but she couldn't think of any a time. Payton she had seen many times in the common room or at meal time, but that was because he was in her same house, so she would of course had some sort of familiarity with the boy. "So," she adressed the girl, "What were you reading?"

He gave Jasmine a broad smile as she introduced herself and nodded as if that helped him remember the name. When she looked down at the book he let his head fall back against the couch, remaining there for a moment before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a bag of Ever-Flavor-Beans. They were by far his favorite treat. He also pulled out his wand, and looked as if he was considering using it for something or another before he heard another voice and looked over to see Katie. He didn't know her very well, but she was in his own house and that meant they had run into eachother a few times.
"Yes, Katie, you are welcome to stay and chat with us"
