The Student Lounge was brimming with noise. Everybody seemed to have come inside to escape the winds that were fighting heavy battle against the room's windowpanes.
Faith Oraco had decided to join them, more than happy to be around and abundance people after a pretty quiet day.
She was busy painting her nails a floaty aqua-marine and was pretty much in her own little world, humming to herself as she stroked on the varnish.
When she had finished she waved her hands madly in the air, her preferred technique of drying. This worked all very well until she felt contact and a voice as she realised she had hit someone. She turned round quickly to apoligise.

Brooke was making her way to the student lounge. She couldn't seem to find any of her friends anywhere and she was at a complete loss as to how to suffice her boredom.
Once inside she looked around, but still she saw nothing that caught her interest. She was walking towards a couch by the fire when she felt something whack her arm.
Her head whipped around to see a girl sitting in her usual spot.
She smirked, "You ought to watch it with those nails. Next time you might not be so lucky and hit a nasty Slytherin. I'm Brooke. First year, Gryffindor."

Faith didn't hide her relief that she hadn't hit a 'nasty Slytherin'. She let out a sigh of relief and grinned at Brook.
"Sorry 'bout that," She apoligised, breaking her glance away from her nails and looking at Brook sincerely, "Didn't get any varnish on you did I? If I did....... well, it's a nice colour."
She gave a mock-endearing smile.
"I'm Faith by the way. Same house, but I'm in third."

"That's cool," Brooke said, taking a seat next to her, "and no you didn't get any on me. It is a cool color though."
Brooke fiddled with the strap on her bag, taking it off of her shoulder. She set it off to the side and stretched out her legs.
"So, Faith, what brings you to the lounge?"

Cassandra flounced into the lounge and found Brooke. Goody, someone to talk to.
" Brooke!" she waived at tripped over her robe and landed straight in the floor. She looked up and saw everyone staring at her. Yeah, Gryffindor Beater and clutz, she said to herself.
Now, there going to have those badges about me they had about Harry last year, she though to herself.

Rayne paced around her common room she was pretty sure she was annoying the heck out of the other gryffindors. Instead of staying there and annoying the people she had to spend the rest of her school years with she decided to walk the halls. As she was walking she accidentally ran into a Slytherin.
The Slytherin yelled at her and called her a bumbling gryffindor. Before he could do worse then call her names Rayne ducked into the nearest place she could find narrowly escaping the peeved Slytherin.
Looking around Rayne found herself in the Student Lounge. "Oh hello Faith, Brooke, Cassandra." Rayne said when she noticed the three people she'd met before in the room.

" Hey, Rayne," said Cass as she lifted herself up of the floor. Her sudden drop to the floor had seemed to die away and everybody had decided to turn their attention to other things.
She dusted of her knees and rearranged her skirt. Now, that she looked presentable once again, she seriously hoped no one had seen her underwear.
" Once again, Hi guys," said Cassandra. She really was a complete klutz. She couldn't help it. She just seemed to fall at the appropriate times.
" So, ladies, what are we up to tonight?"

Brooke giggled a little as Cassandra fell.
"Hey Cass, Rayne. I was just having a little chat with Faith. I've been really bored all day, and I don't know what to do. I just can't think of anything very appealing. Ideas, anyone?"
Brooke looked from Faith to Rayne to Cassandra, hoping that one of them could think of something for the four of them to keep themselves occupied with. If not she could possibly die from boredom.

" Not completely sure on that one," Cass sniffed the air. She swore she smelt something funny. " We could always put on some good music and just groove."
Cass got up and started doing some mock dancing by swinging her hips from side to side.
" Or, we could always do some dramatic interpretations."

Brooke snorted, "Dramatic interpretations? That's a good one Cass. Dancing is always fun. I guess we could do that."
Brooke followed Cassandra's lead and started doing some steps from one of the hip hop routines she had learned the previous summer. She loved hip hop. It was by far the best form of dance there was. You could just break free and be yourself through movement. All you had to do was pop on some music and she would go to town!
Dancing was a good idea but there had to be something else that they could do. They couldn't just dance all night. And she was pretty sure that Cassandra was joking when she had suggested that. What else could they do? Brooke bit her lip and thought quickly over the list of things she had already gone over in her mind a million times. There was one idea though that seemed like fun.
Brooke smirked, "I have an idea. What about a good old fashioned game of truth or dare? You can't go wrong there."

" Ooh, Truth or Dare. Now I like that. I haven't done that in a long time, and last time I did it got me in a lot of trouble," said Cass anxiously.
It was always fun to play that so you could find out about your friends. You learned such new things about them

Rayne watched in amusement as Cassandra and Brooke started dancing around. She'd done that only once before and that had been when Jordan and Dana decided that it was time to teach her the Salsa. Rayne hadn't done to bad though it had embarassed her to no end. She was entirely to happy when Brooke suggested that they play truth or dare.
"Truth or Dare sounds like fun. I'm in if you were being serious about playing. If not that's cool too." Rayne said sitting indian style on the floor.

Karissa could here hip hop music coming from the Student Lounge.
"Oooh! I love that song!" she said, walking in. She saw a group of fellow Gryffindors sitting around, obviously as bored as she was. Some of them were dancing, but then when someone mentioned Truth or Dare, the music got turned off and the girls all sat down.
"Hey!" Karissa said, bouncing over to the four girls. "I love truth or dare. Can I join?"

Faith looked up as two other girls joined them. She knew one, Rayne from a previous meeting but the other was unfamiliar but Faith was pretty sure that she was Cassandra Logton, a member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She smiled at them and gave them a casual wave, then subduedly listened to their conversation as she touched up her nails from where they had smudged, hoping she didn't look too vain.
Faith watched as Brooke and Cassandra danced about, shaking her hands about again to make her nails dry and grinning at them both, amusedly. Honestly, she was definitley more of a rock girl but the dancing looked pretty fun. She had half a mind to join them until a change of conversation stopped them.
"Truth or dare?" Faith said raising an eyebrow, when the suggestion came up. She cast her mind back to some, well, interesting memories and laughed.
"I'm in," She said, leaning forward, and slipped off her shoes, then sat crossed legged on the chair.
Another girl approached, a stranger that Faith hadn't met before and asked to join in.
Faith glanced around at the other girls.
"Okay with you guys?" She asked.

Cass hurrumphed. She looked at the new girl sizing her up a bit. " Sure. I have no problem with it."
Cass was excited. Truth or dare was an old favoriate back home, but wasn't sure if it was accepted in the wizarding world. She always wanted to play, but she never really wanted to let them know she was a muggle born.
" So, who starts?"

Brooke grinned. "The more the better!" She took a seat on the floor next to Rayne and situated herself for the start of the game. Truth or dare was probably her most favorite game ever. She loved dares and she had yet to not complete a dare. That was just not an option in her book. There was always someway to make it amusing instead of embarrassing. She wasn't very easily embarrassed and never had been. Probably because she didn't really care too much what people thought about her. If they liked her, that was cool. If they didn't like her, then it was their loss.
"I don't care. I volunteer to be truth or dared first," Brooke said waving her arms in the air wildy, "It's just a matter of who would like to ask me."
Brooke grinned waiting to see who would give her the first "truth or dare". She hoped it was something good and fun. How long had it been before she had played a good game of truth or dare? Brooke didn't even know how long it had been, just that it had been way too long.

"Yeah the more the better." Rayne said smiling at the newcomer. She waited to see who would start the game. Rayne had always loved truth or dare. She loved being dared to do stuff especially when people thought she wouldn't do something. That wasn't the case with her though. She was the most stubborn person she knew and would do something just to prove others wrong.
"I'll ask you." Rayne said as Brooke volunteered to be truth or dared first. "Truth or dare?"

Brooke smirked. Did they really need to ask? As if she would pick truth! "Dare. All the way. But give me something good Rayne. No childish crap." She winked to show she was teasing but kept the smirk to let her know that she still had to make a good dare for her.

"Bloody hell." Rayne said. She hated having to dare people to do stuff. She wasn't very good at thinking up stuff for people to do. Looking around she tried to think of something good for Brooke to do.
"Oh hell go depants that Hufflepuff boy over there." She said pointing to a boy who was being loud and obnoxious. "And no using magic either you have to do it muggle style."

"Muggle style?" Faith laughed, an amused grin on her face.
She watched to see the dare-ee's reaction. Somehow Faith didn't get the impression that Brooke was gonna turn down a dare any time soon.
