Victoria White sat alone in a darkened corner. She was bored, this wasn't an unusual thing. Almost eighty percent of the time Victoria was found alone and very bored. People usualy stayed away from her. She new exactly why, and she didn't really care. She was a spoiled brat, and she loved being one. People tryed to avoid getting trapped in the annoying innocence she only used when she really wanted something.
Victoria was again as usual being avoided. She scanned the room looking for a naive first year to pick on. Oh how she enjoyed picking on them. She would trap them with her sweet smile, and then get whatever she wanted from them. Usually she had a specific want, but at this moment, she had nothing. Victoria had the skills to get whatever she wanted, but really, what more could she want.
Victoria put on her sweetest and most innocent smile she could and stepped out of the shadows. She sat down on a deserted couch, and smiled and winked at the people who passed. Gosh, she hated being avoided, everyone kept there distance, and this always ruined her plans.
She saw a small Hufflepuff staring at her from across the room. Probably a first year. Victoria didn't recognize her. This meant that she's never used that particular Hufflepuff. "Hm," said Victoria to herself, "a new little 'friend'." Victoria smiled at the girl and waved her over. The small girl's eyes widened and she ran out of the room. She had obviously heard of Victoria.

Rayne walked into the Student Lounge her new favorite place. None of the Gryffindors seemed to pay her much attention which was fine with her she preffered being alone anyway. She loved the Lounge though because of the atmosphere in here. She loved the fire and the comfy arm chairs something she just couldn't get in her common room. She also enjoyed watching the different people that came and went in here. She loved to people watch it gave her ideas for her stories and this was the perfect place to go.
The first thing Rayne noticed when she walked into the common room was that it wasn't as crowded as it normally was. There were a few people in groups talking and there was one girl sitting all alone. She wondered vaguely why the girl was all alone but didn't bother to go over to her and ask. Instead she sat down in an arm chair in the corner and pulled out some of her assignments so she could get caught up on them. Only after she finished her assignments could she begin to write. After all grades came first. Unscrewing the cap to her ink Rayne began to work on her assignments humming lightly to herself.

Victoria continued to silently watch the people around her. She saw people go in and out of the lounge, and she saw little first years find their friends and giggle delightfully. She hated those giggles so much.
While watching the door to the lounge she saw a first year Gryffindor walk in. Those Gryffindors, worst people in this whole school. They are always good for helping Victoria with her wants though. The girl was sitting in a chair writing something, doing some assignment no doubt. Victoria could tell the girl was humming to her self. She screamed in her head. "Why are those Gryffindors so happy all the time?" she asked herself. Victoria put on another huge smile, and walked over to the little first year. "Hi!" Victoria said, "You must be a first year. I just love you little first years, you're all so cute. My name's Victoria by the way." Victoria realized how deadly sweet she was being. Hopefully this Gryffindor would be some use to her.

Rayne looked up startled out of her trance like state by someone speaking to her. She noticed that it was the girl who she'd noticed before when she first came in. The girl was a Slytherin Rayne noted. She'd heard bad things about Slytherins from her brother. This one seemed nice, a little to nice but she decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. The girl identified herself as Victoria and recognized that Rayne was a first year. After Victoria commented on cute first years were Rayne introduced herself.
"My name is Rayne." She said nervously twirling a piece of hair around her finger. "I'm a first year Gryffindor nice to meet you." She said not meeting Victoria's eyes. Talking to people made her nervous and the fact that Victoria was a slytherin and obviously older didn't make things any easier.

The girl said her name was Rayne, she looked pretty surprised that Victoria was talking to her. Well, Slytherins don't usually talk to Gryffindors, so that could explain it. Rayne looked so nervous, this was exactly what Victoria wanted. A shy little first year would do anything, Victoria just had to get her trust.
Victoria had noticed that Rayne never made eye contact with her. She sat down on the arm of the chair Rayne was sitting on and looked down at her a bit. "Sweety, you look so nervous. There's nothing to be afraid about, I'm not going to hurt you." Victoria told Rayne, "I just wanted to be friends." Victoria smiled down at Rayne, putting a hand on her shoulder. She enjoyed seeing the nervousness of little first years, and Rayne sure was nervous.

Rayne looked up as Victoria sat on the arm of the chair and said that Rayne looked nervous. "I'm told Slytherins are generally mean and that they hate Gryffindors." Rayne tells her as an explanation to her nervousness.
When Victoria said that she wanted to be friends stared at her in open mouthed shock. No one had ever just come up to her and said that they wanted to be friends. Most people avoided her because of the way she dressed and how distant she could be.
Rayne shut her mouth with an audible snap. She looked up at Victoria to see if she was just pulling her leg. Victoria seemed to be telling the truth but still you could never tell with people. Rayne smiled at her. "I want to be friends too." She said cautiously as if waiting for Victoria to spring up and go 'just kidding who would want to be friends with you.'

Jordan was once again in a foul mood, but by now she had learned to control it. She wasn't sniping at anyone who passed her way, or yelling at someone for asking her a question. She pulled a smile on her lips, and sometimes was able to even answer them or say hello in the halls. She was getting better, slowly, but slowly was getting there.
She entered the Student Lounge, not in the best of moods...but, in a pretty good one for someone who hadn't had their meds just yet. Her eyes wandered over the small crowd of students relaxing and playing Wizards Chess when her eyes rested on Rayne and a Slytherin. Jordan raised an eyebrow and made her way over to the first year Gryffindor, her arms crossed over her chest and her eyebrow still raised.
"Hey Rayne." Jordan greeted her friend soundly, she looked at the Slytherin wondering why this girl was interacting with a Gryffindor. Maybe she was a nice Slytherin, but then again you don't get many of those now do you? Jordan tilted her head and kept looking at the girl before looking at Rayne and managing a small warm smile.

Rayne looked up as someone entered the common room. She nearly sighed in relief as she realized that it was her friend Jordan.
"Hey Jordan." Rayne said when Jordan said hello to her. She was certainly glad that someone she knew was there as she didn't trust Slytherins the only exception being Kris and Mary.

"Whatcha up to?" Jordan asked Rayne, a slight smile on her face. She was still suspicous about the other girl though. She looked about Jordan's age, so who knew what would or could happen.
"I'm Jordan, who're you?" She asked, sort of in a rude manner. But, Jordan felt like being rude at the moment. At least, rude to people who weren't her friends.
