It was a cold day as usual never seemed to get warmer and Grace hated that. She had spent her Christmas break at her parents and she had a crummy time. First her so called twin had pulled more than enough pranks on her and was always off so Grace couldn’t prank her back. Touching her hair she still had pink stripes running down the side and she liked it but it was against a code of something. Sighing she stood up from her chair and grabbed her shoulder bag and swung it over her shoulder and she was off to the student lounge.
Walking frown the long corridors she started to hum to her a bit. Then a sly smile spread across her face and she took out her orange CD player and put on the head phones and tuned it up as loud as it could go. As the beat took over Grace she started to dance and her movements following the beat. Grace had not always been a wild and crazy girl. First she had gone through a desperation at her first day of smuggle school but that was long ago and she found her passion and that was dancing.
Continuing to dance down the corridors some Professors told her to stop but she didn’t listen and continued her way to the student lounge. It was like Grace not to listen but listen to her friend’s actions. Puling her red hair in a pony tail she open the wooden oak doors to the student lounge and found a spot in a conferrable chair. She had always sat in the chair when the place opened up and she called it her own and kicked anyone out that was sitting in it. Grace wasn’t all that mean but just a wild child and followed her own rules.
The head phones vibrated on her ears as she slumped down into the chair more. She banged her head a bit to the fast upbeat rhythm itching to dance. Grace shrugged off that feeling and took out a magzine that from her mother shop and started to look at the dresses. Her mother wonted her to take over in the shop but Grace had other plans. Turning the page she took out a piece of muggle gum called double bubble gum and pooped it into her mouth and started to chew. As the gum was chewed enough she blew a bubble and it pop making a loud noise. People looked over at her and she looked at them, "What are you looking at?" she told then and smirked and turned back to her magzine. Maybe she would have made a good Slytherin instead of a Hufflepuff.

Parvati smiled at the first years she had been assisting in the student lounge. She hugged the little girl who had big blue eyes, and handed her the lollipop she had promised her. The little girl smiled and went on her way out of the student lounge. Parvati loved assisting the younger years, it made her feel so...important and guiding.
She picked up the papers she had used for tutoring and stacked them in a semi neat pile on the end of the table. She picked up her shoulderbag, and put that on over her so that it crossed over her chest. Her black hair was up in a pony tail and it swayed whenever she walked. Parvati had a ribbon around her forehead and tied it in the back of her head under her pony tail. She wanted to be an indvidiual, so she did this. Padma had told her she looked weird, but Parvati really didn't care.
Scanning the lounge, she saw a Hufflepuff 6th year chewing gum rather loudly. Normally Parvati would go over there and speak her mind in the rudest way possible, but right now that really isn't something she wanted to do. She wanted to make friends, and that was definitely not the way. She sighed as she saw none of her Gryffindor friends around so she decided to head over towards the Hufflepuff anyway.
Parvati set her book bag down in front of her as she sat on the floor across from the girl, and smiled. She pulled out her sketchbook and before she opened it, she looked at the girl wondering if she should introduce herself. No harm,r ight? Parvati thought as she smiled again.
"Hey, I'm Parvati." She said, her voice flowing like honey on a cool summers day and the bees buzzing around. She opened her sketchbook and pulled out a pencil, dragging it gently across the page in an arch so that she could continue with her drawing of the arch in the town where she lived during the breaks.

Dana finished her Charm’s essay and slammed the book close. Standing up and stretching before scrambling off her bed and stalking outside of the common room. She really needed something to do – maybe let out some steam.
Entering the common room she saw a girl, about her age – maybe a year older – sitting there with head-phones on her head. The music was loud enough to faintly reach Dana, who smiled, recognizing the tune and loving it. It was quick beat, just the way Dana liked it.
The girl had rather cool pink streaks in her hair and was eating bubble-gum, while skimming through some magazine. There was one other also sitting in front of her on the floor, with what looked like a sketchbook in front of her. Deciding she had nothing to loose, Dana advanced the girl and positioned herself on an armchair of a nearby armchairm crossing her legs on their ankles in front of her.
“Love the song,” Dana said with a smile, tilting her head and turning to the girl on the floor, "And although I can't really see the picture yet, I'd like to see it when it's ready. I'm Dana. Mind if I join you?"

Parvati looked up from her unfinished drawing and smiled at the newcomer. She liked to meet new people and this seemed to be a great time to meet someone. Parvati erased a mark on her sketchbook and fixed a strand of hair.
"No, not at all. Anyone's welcome. I'm Parvati Patil. And if you want to see this I guess you can, it's nothing big. Just an arch." She answered as she looked back up and smiled with resilence. She looked around the lounge, in search of a first year in trouble and found none. It was slow tonight. And that was good thing. Or at least for Parvati. She had been helping the first years an awful lot lately. Helping those who wanted help of course.

Slumping more down into her chair she turned up her volume to her CD player. Bobing her head at the music she looked out a window that was just next to her. Shivering abit about how cold it was outside she turned her attention back to her music. Closing her eyes she tried to push back the urge to dance. Just then she heard some one come into the lounge. Turning her head at the girl who age she smiled at her. "Good morning Parvati my names Grace Willows nice too met you." Grace said smiling and turning her head towards the fire. Watching it dance she sighed and turned up the volume to her CD more and her favroites song came on. Standing up she pretend to have a gutiar in her hands. She than moved her hand through the air as if she were struming it. Smiling she tucked some hair behind her ears and started to sing out.
"He was a boy She was a girl Can i make it any more obvious He was a punk She did ballet What more can i say He wanted her She'd never tell secretly she wanted him as well But all of her friends Stuck up their nose They had a problem with his baggy clothes
He was a skater boy She said see you later boy He wasn't good enough for her She had a pretty face But her head was up in space She needed to come back down to earth
5 years from now She sits at home Feeding the baby she's all alone She turns on tv Guess who she sees Skater boy rockin up MTV She calls up her friends They already know And they've all got Tickets to see his show She tags along Stands in the crowd Looks up at the man that she turned down" As she ended she went to the ground and did one last strum.
Notcing what she was doing she slumped back into her chair as the music still went on. Bobbing her head more her brown hair went flying with her and she noticed a girl say she liked the song. Looking at the younger girl she smiled and pulled her head phones off to have a nice converation. "Well Avril is like my idol so yeah. My names Grace Willows." Grace said continuing to smile. She than put her head phones back on and listened to the sweet punk music.

“Parvati. Got it,” Dana smiled at Parvati and let herself fall into the seat, leaving her feet tangling off the armchair, “And yep – I can see it’s an arch. But an arch can be turned into much more, so I’d just like to see the beginning of what it seems to you.” Dana grinned, “I’ve seen you around helping first-years. You seem to do that awfully lot. And I’m sure they need the help. I certainly did in my first year here.”<br> And turned to watch how Grace played imaginary instruments to accompany her song: “Yeah, Avril is good. God, I’ve missed dancing while I’m here. And something else than the formal dances, which seem to be the only things around during balls.”
