Jasmine lay in her bed flat on her back looking up at the ceiling. Her orange and white kitten lay asleep on her lap and purring loudly. Apparently Jasmine had no friends and she finished her home work hours ago.
She sighed as she closed her eyes and started to think of her horse Midnight Light. He was a 17.h Thoroughbred black stallion that Jasmine had since he was a foal. Midnight had a hard life his mother abounded him and the owner didn’t seem to know what to do so she left him in the stable alone and didn’t care for him. Luckily Lena noticed this and took the foal in but he didn’t take the bottle from Lena and he seemed as if he wonted to die. Jasmine couldn’t take the fact that the foal wonted to die so she spent many summer nights with him talking to him and encouraging him to take the bottle. One night he finally took the bottle from Jasmine and now he and Jasmine have a special bond together.
Tears were stinging in her eyes as she remembered Midnight struggle to live he reminded her of herself when her mother and father left her at the orphanage and she was alone with no body. Jasmine sighed and she decided she wonted to go to the student lounge and read her new book on magical creatures. She got up grabbed her book and put on her blue fluffy sweatshirt and walked out of the Ravenclaw girls dormitories and out of the common room and down the moving stair cases on her way to the student lounge. As she walked she held her book tight in her arms and she turned her head away from the people that stared at her as she walked down the halls.
She finally reached the wooden oak doors and she opened with and there was a gentle whack sound and Jasmine walked over towards the couch by the fire. She found a right spot directly in front of the fire and she sat down and opened her book up and started to read her book. She pulled away her brown hair and continued to stick her eyes on the book reading. It was getting quite interesting.

Molly was in her dorm doing all the homework that she had recieved from the last few days. Most of it was do the next day. Molly sighed, whay did she do everything last minute? It was a question Molly always pondered herself. She mostly waited until last minute to do things because she got distracted easily. This time was no different. There was a small box on the table beside her bed. She had gotten it from her father and was not supposed to open it until her birthday. Molly looked over longingly at the box and thought to herself wonder what's in there . . . a small peek couldn't hurt.
Molly reached for the small box and over turned it in her hands. She found a card on it and she had it examined it many times before. It said 'to my dearest daughter: I hope you will like what is in the inside of this box, it was mine when I was a little girl. I have planned for us to go to Germany today for you birthday. love mum.' A tear rolled down Molly's cheek. She had never even met her mother. She looked at photos of her before, Molly wished that her mother could be there for her. Molly wiped away the tear and unwrapped the box. She took the lid off and inside were six small wooden dolls. Molly carefully tok them out and looked at them. There was three women and three men. Inside the box there was another item which appeared to be another piece of paper. Molly uncurled it, it read Molly, these are trouble dolls, I had them when I was a litte girl. They will solve your troubles if you tell them your troubles before you go to bed and put them under your pillow. By morning they will have solved them. You are only aloud six problems a day since there are only six dolls, you don't want to give them more than they can handle. I love you. love mum.
Molly put the dolls on the table as a tear ran down her cheek again. She put the letter in her pillow and headed downstairs, to emotional to work on homework at the moment. She heade down the spiral staircase and out the portrait hole. She went through the corridors. She finally found the student lounge and went in. There she saw Jasmine by the fire reading. "Hi Jasmine." said Molly vaugley and sat down by her best friend. "what are you reading?" said Molly as she stared at the book Jasmine was reading. Molly curled her legs up on the chair ad tied her hair back into a ponytail.

"I'm stuck, in this wasteland. My life, way out of reach. I can't, grasp the conception. That you, mean nothing to me." Vanessa Link sang as she strummed on Kyle's guitar in the common room. She smiled to herself and put her pen to the paper, writing down what she had just sang. The song wasn't nearly complete, but it was working along wonderfully.
"My eyes, are hollowed out and my tears are no more. You hold that key, the key that opens the door. I'm caught in this net of, unforgiveness. My mind is useless, to what it used to be. I'm stuck in this wasteland. My life is way out of reach. I can't grasp the conception. That you mean nothing to me. You mean nothing. You mean, nothing.....to me." The bridge and chorus was finished, now for the verses. She would work on that in the student lounge, it was much easier if she had a second opinion on her writings. Vanessa figured Jasmine would be in the Student Lounge, so she grabbed Kyle's guitar, stuffed her writing in her purse and left the Hufflepuff Common Room.
Upon entering the Lounge she immediatly spotted the Ravenclaw reading by the fire and made her way over. She sat down on the floor, her back to the fire and smiled up at her best-friend. Molly was there also and she sent a smile at her as well. Holding her guitar, she picked at the strings with the pick that she had taken off from around her neck. She wore her guitar picks around her neck as a necklace so she would never forget them. After Kyle had gotten her into playing the guitar, she really never played her piano anymore. "'Kay, I need your opinion Jazz. Molly yours would be much appreciated too. Okay, no laughing." Vanessa told them. She crossed her legs and started to play. Her index finger of her left hand gliding over the handle strings of the light guitar. Her right hand fingers held hte pick and played with energy. She then sang, her eyes closed and her diction perfect. When she was finished, she opened her eyes and looked at the two girl swith curioisty.

The book that Jasmine had been reading was very good and quite interesting. It was a book on Potions, one of her best classe, that she had gotten in the echanted village. Turning the page and still looking at her book she noticed Molly came into the room. Smiling at her friend she set the book down on her lap and looked up at her friend with a big smile on her face. "Good evening Molly I havent seen you around in a long time. Well that was back on Christmas before I left to go to Kelsey house." Jasmine said smiling and tucking her hair behind her ears. Vanessa had been making this a habit of hers now. Smiling once again she put in her book mark and placed the book in her shoulder bag and took out a cd player and a note book.
Placing the note book on her lap she took the black cd player with a sticker that said Prefect on it. Jasmine than searched in her messanger bag for her cd case that held all of her cds that she owned. Searching in her bag she looked down at her lap which her note book lay. Her mind started to race as she thought about her new crush and a dreamy smile spread across her face. Noticing the she had been doing she found her cd case and smiled. Puting the Cd case on her lap as well she folded her arms and looked up at Molly. "Wont to see my cd colletion? I have like Evanescence, Simple plan, and those kind of cds." Jasmine asked puting the cd case in her lap.
Jasmine than noticed Vanessa come in and she smiled at her best friend. "Vanessa oh my gosh Chad keepts sending me letter about you its really annoying." Jasmine said with a wink and listened intently to Vanessa song. Her eyes closed as the sweet music took over her. She dirted off into a musical sleep and when it stoped she open her eyes agan slowly. Blinking once or twice a smiled spread acorss her lips. "That was beautiful. Once Molly is finshed with looking at my cd case you can look at it too. I got some pretty good songs on it." Jasmine said opening her note book up and taking out a pencil. She held the pencil to her mouth all mixed up how to say "I like you" in a song.

Vanessa laughed as Jasmine said that Chad kept annoying her with letters about Vanessa. She was flattered, after all she did like him, and from what seemed to be what he liked her also. But, Vanessa was too confused to do anything, it was all very...EGH! She sighed and laid the guitar down after her song, and smiled at the compliment Jasmine had given her.
"Thanks. It's a work in progess. Anyway, next time Chad sends you a letter about me, let me read it. It'll be very amusing. ooh, CDs fun! I should've brought mine, ah well." Vanessa giggled with a giddy tone of voice. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, and twirled the ends of her hair around her index finger.
"Soooo whatcha writing? Or, from the looks of it, trying to write?" She asked Jasmine with an interested tone. She then looked at Molly and smiled. If she remembered correctly, which she was sure she did, Molly and Justin had slow danced at Elizabeth's party. She propped her chin on her hands that were propped on her knees which were out in front of her and smiled slyly at Molly.
