Liliane sat down at the Great Hall alone at the Gryffindor table. It was usually empty around the time of brunch, therefore, Liliane kind of expected it. She sat down gobbling bits of food left and right, and then topping it off with water. She wasn't craving anything else at the moment. Liliane sat looking around at the glum faces that covered the kids at all 3 of the other tables. 'Guess coming back to school wasn't something they wanted to do either.' Liliane thought as she sat and waited a minute before she got up from the table.
Getting up from the table, Liliane proceeded to the exit of the Great Hall and in her mind thought of where she wanted to go next. 'Lounge' she thought as she walked up the steps. Her walk was a slow one, but it didn't take her long to reach her destination of the lounge. Smiling at the everyone who passed, which ticked off some Slytherians, she had finally made it, despite her slow walk.
As she opened the door the the lounge she quickly sensed the warmth and comfort that the lounge gave off. 'Oh how I've missed this.' she thought as she went to a couch to sit and collect her thoughts.

Dana bit down into an apple she had grabbed from the lunch and reading a book while walking, she slowly headed towards the students lounge. Glancing up over her book fr, she managed to avoid collisions with people.
She opened the student lounge door and diverted her eyes back to her book she entered and walked towards some couches, when her leg got caught into something.
Dana yelped as her book flew somewhere with an high arc as she herself almost landed on the floor face first. At the last moment she managed to put her now free hand in front of herself and she rolled on her side, still grasping the apple rather tightly.
“Oh, sorry, guess reading while walking isn’t really the brightest idea,” Dana said while sitting up and shaking her leg, “And when you fall on this carpet, it seems to loose or it’s softness you know. And I ripped my skirt.”
“Hi I’m Dana. Did you see where my book flew by any chance?” Dana said climbing to her feet and pulling out her wand, pointed it to her jean-skirt and repaired it with a quick spell.

Mary walked around Hogwarts very glad to be back; but very unhappy to be be lost. 'I haven't been away that long and yet I am back at a stage where I get lost. There has to be something wrong with me.' Mary thought rolling her eyes. Mary wandered around too proud to ask anyone where exactly she was; she simply walked around trying to look like she knew where she was going. She walked down hallways, up steps, down steps. In other words Mary walked in circles. Finally after fifteen minutes of this Mary found something; the student lounge. 'Oh thank God.' she thought as she walked in and took a seat.
Mary did not have a book or anything with her so she decided to socialize. There was a girl sitting on the couch beside her chair. Mary was unsure as to whether she should bother the girl or not, but after a few seconds of indecision she had no need to bother her. Mary's friend Dana walked in while reading and feel on the ground. Being the good friend she was Mary began to laugh as Dana explained to the girl what had happened. As Dana introduced herself Mary looked for the book. "Accio book." Mary said pointing her wand in the general vicinity of it.
Mary turned back to the two of them as Dana asked about her book and fixed her skirt. "Here you go Dana." Mary said handing it over. "Its nice to see you again. Hi I'm Mary Evans." She said to the other girl who Dana had just spoken to.

“Oh, hi, Mary and thanks!” Dana grinned accepting her book from Mary with a broad smile. “Do you mind if I sit down?” Dana asked and plopped down on an other couch before an answer and tucked away her book after charming it small enough to fit into her pocket and rubbed her hip, “I am going to be prancing around with a bruise on my hip. And it’s just the first day back to school!”
Dana sighed and tilted her head: “So to change the topic, hat is happening around here, besides today’s free entertainment-act performed by me.”
Mary watched as Dana sat down and mentioned that her hip was bruised. "Well if it hurts too much you can skive off class and go to the hospital wing." Mary said with a grin. "Not too much is happening with me today. I got lost so I'm in here for a rest. What is wrong with me? I can't be gone for more than a weekend before I completely loose whatever sense of direction I had." She continued rolling her eyes. "But hey don't put yourself down. Your entertainment act was totally great. I mean I would pay to see it again." Mary said with a smirk knowing her friend would understand that she was joking. Mary's only worry was that the other girl would think Mary was the typical Slytherin and get offended. Then again she would not be the first, so it didn't bother Mary too much.

“Nah, I think I’ll just get a blue spot there, not much of a bruise. Besides I don’t like hospitals nor doctors, although madam Pomfrey is quite alright,” Dana answered with a smile and a wink “And I like the fact that chocolate is used as a medicine.”
“Pay money to see me to do it again?” Dana answered with a grin and tilted answering to Mary’s good-natured teasing, “Alright. Next time I’ll put posters up all over the school and charge for tickets! Think I would need a show-name and a manager?”
Dana couldn’t hold back a giggle anymore: “I think I would prefer to wear pants then though. Who knows what might happen, if my skirt would rip again in front of the audience.”
“But let’s not scare innocent by-standers away,” Dana grinned at the third girl, whose name she still didn’t know.

Liliane sat entranced at a girl Liliane had never seen before. Her entrance was filled with amusement. The girl came directly up to Liliane, introduced herself as Dana and then asked if she'd seen her book anywhere around here. "Liliane," she said as she got up from the couch to help her search for the book which flew out of her hands. However, by the time Liliane had started a search another girl had beat her to it. Liliane decided to sit back down, knowing that the problem of the missing book was solved. The other girl introduced herself as Mary Evans. Smiling Liliane introduced herself as well. "I'm Liliane Staggner." she said as she put out her hand to both of the girls, for that was how Liliane greeted new people. "Take a seat guys." Liliane said pointing to the chairs surrounding her. Liliane chuckled a bit at Dana's remark about it being the first day back and she had already gotten a bruise. Liliane, too, was rather clumsy and she was hurt almost 2 or 3 times a week, in a clumsy fall or something. Dana was the first to bring up conversation asking how everything was going for everyone. "It's cool, but kind of boring. I haven't had anyone to talk to so I decided to come here and meet new people, which I seem to be doing right now." Liliane said smiling warmly at the 2 girls. She noticed that she had seen Mary before, probably in 1 of her classes, for she looked about the same age. She also noticed that Dana looked just a little bit older, 'probably 2 or 3 years older. ' Liliane thought. Lililane sat listening to Dana and Mary talk about Dana's fall and such forth. She sat chuckling at all of Dana's remarks. Quite a funny girl she was, and Liliane enjoyed that. Bringing up a last laugh, Liliane spoke finally, "Man, you are funny," she began to Dana as she started twirling her hair and enjoying a good laugh. Sitting back Liliane asked, "So how was your guys' breaks? Santa bring you anything good?" Liliane smiling and waiting for a response.

Mary shook Liliane's hand when it was offered. "Nice to meet you" she said. Mary laughed as Dana started planning her entertainment act, "I call manager" Mary joked. Liliane then spoke about meeting new people, something Mary seemed to be doing a lot of recently. It was quite enjoyable, it was like you could re-invent yourself with every person you meet. When Liliane asked about their breaks Mary smiled widely. "My break was wonderful, I went to Weinig Zug. It was so nice there; very pretty. Plus I got to meet a lot of new people without the whole me being a Slytherin thing getting in the way." Mary said with a smile. "Santa was rather good to me as well. And I got a letter from my father; apparently my mother went a whole week without complaining about my playing Quidditch. I may get some peace this summer after all." Mary doubted Liliane would understand how good it was that her mother stoped complaining, but she knew Dana would get it. Mary's mother had always forbade her from playing Quidditch because 'it is not a proper past time for a lady'. So this year Mary tried out for beater, just to spite her mother. Mary's mother did not get over things well, if she has stoped complaining it means that she has taken the first step to accepting it.

Dana shook Liliane’s hand with a smile and mock-bowed in her seating position to Mary: ”You’ve got the job.”
Dana smiled at Mary softly, as she said she got some peace and quiet during the vacation about quidditch. Dana’s father was the only muggle, from her mother’s side the pure-blood line had been carried on for quite long. And although her grand-parents were really tolerant, she knew what was expected from most pure-bloods.
Dana smiled and answered the question as well: “Well, I doubt some guy climbed in through the chimney, but let’s say that Santa’s little helpers brought me presents, but I got some books. A new scarf and gloves in Ravenclaw colors, a cute deep-blue blouse and a bracelet.”
Dana pulled out her sleeve a little and showed a thin silver bracelet, that had little different trinkets attached to it such as a star, a heart, an anchor, a dear-drop, a little horse-shoe etc.
“And something my grand-ma called the most effective love-potion of all times, and it’s charmed to never run dry,” Dana pulled out a little trinket, that had been under her sweater and pulled the cork off, before blowing gently of the wire-work, causing bubbles to fly.
Dana grinned and corked the little bottle closed again and winked at Mary and Liliane: ”As far as I know it’s just regular soap-water, but who knows. Maybe you would be swooning already, if you were male.”
Mary reached into her bag and pulled out a notebook and quill which she handed to Dana when told she had the job. “I know you are a good friend and I trust you. But I need that in writing Miss. Coran.” Mary joked in a mock serious tone. Dana then told them what she had gotten for Christmas, showed them her charm bracelet and blew bubbles at them which she clamed was a love potion.
Still in a very playful mood Mary pretended to swoon as a bubble landed on her hand. She then ‘woke up’ and looked at Dana. “Oh Dana, your eyes, I never noticed how beautiful they were before.” She said while hopping into Dana’s chair beside her.
Mary then began laughing and returned to her own chair. She picked up Dana’s book and looked at the cover then flipped through the pages. “What’s this about?” she asked, thoroughly upset she didn’t have a book of her own.

Dana fluttered her eye-lashes flirtingly towards Mary, as she acted as if she was swooning before hopping into the seat next to her. Mary pulled the book from Dana as Dana took her note-book and quill and scribbled in it quickly ‘Ms. Mary Evans is hereby My – Dana Coran’s- manager, should I ever wish to go to show-business’ Dana signed it with a flowing Signature and a proud curve in it, then handed the notebook back to Mary.
“That book – it’s ‘Twisted beliefs: jungish analyze of wrong and unfavorably religions’ by Padre Jerrard Luc Sante. A muggle. His point is rather interesting – about how eveil has became so common, that we can’t recognize it anymore. The book could use some editing and the writing style is quite heavy and somewhat depressing, but it’s interesting.”
Dana pondered about it for a moment, pushing off her shoes nad curling her legs up under herself: “Then again – the priest who wrote it, did go crazy. Killed 4 people by nailing them on a cross at the eve of the century, so he could hasten the second coming of Jesus Christ.”
Dana tilted her head and smiled: “I’m almost finished anyways, so you are welcomed to borrow the book, if you want.”

Mary grinned as Jasmine handed the notebook back. She glanced down at what was written then drummed her fingers together and said “excellent” in as evil a tone as she could muster. She listened as Dana explained about the book. “Wrong religions? What kind of nonsense is that?” Mary asked disgusted by someone implying a religion could be wrong. Mary could not stand intolerance and through her study of anthropology she had found a lot of it in every society. Mary loved anthropology, she found studying other cultures fascinating. “What religion was he?” Mary asked about the priest as she finished flipping through the book.
Mary sat back in her chair and opened the book to its introduction. She began reading as she listened to Dana. She may hate his referral to other religions as wrong but Dana said it had interesting theories and Mary was willing to give it a chance.

“Mmmm, I guess I worded in wrong. It doesn’t say that any religion is wrong, but rather how people become fanatics and start killing in the name of religion, when they start seeing themselves as some sort of gods themselves,” Dana explained with gestures, trying to figure out how to explain it better, “It’s when you start killing just anyone or commit crimes and justifying your deeds as God’s will, which ever God you believe in.”
“Like Luc Sante himself did, in the end of his life, ironically. He killed – nailed the people on cross, as he was convinced he heard the voice of God in his head, and by doing as it told him, he would be able to bring forth the reincarnation of Christ,” Dana explained with a sardonic smirk playing on her lips, “And he was Roman Catholic himself, I think.”
“But surprisingly he agreed to every religion. The book was mainly about how every religion fights the same evil, which has just taken different forms,” Dana shrugged, “The book wasn’t the best I’ve ever read though.”
“Anyway – what else did you do during vacation? Just enjoyed the free time?” Dana said, changing the topic to something more light-hearted.

Liliane sat in a great daze as the 2 girls chatted about books. Once that was done, Dana had asked what had been done over vacation. Taking the question, for Mary had not responded right away, Liliane smiled at Dana. "Well, I basically hung out with my family. We had a really good time, and I really like being with them. And, my brother taught me how to play guitar!" Liliane said with pride. "I can play some Spanish song, and I know the basic chords. You too play anything?" Liliane said smiling and remembered being home and how much fun she had had. ((Sorry for the lack of posts , and for it's shortness, couldn't think of anything else.))

Mary nodded her head as Dana re-explained the point of the book. ‘Oh ok that makes much more sense.’ Mary thought. She then rolled her eyes at the thought of the priest crucifying people. Dana then asked how their holidays had been. Mary had answered this question so many times she could say it in her sleep. She had also already talked to Dana about her break. Therefore Mary decided to come up with something different to say. As she was thinking Liliane gave her answer and Mary stopped to listen. She talked about spending time with her family and learning to play guitar. Mary found it nice to listen to her speak with such enthusiasm about something like spending time with family. Mary wished she could feel that way about her family, but alas her mother was overbearing, her father spineless, and her siblings nonexistent.
Liliane asked if either of they played anything. “I’m afraid my musical ability is limited to singing.” Mary responded. “How about you Dana? I know you sing but do you play any instruments?” Mary asked unsure of whether her friends know how to play anything.

“You learned to play guitar – that’s great! I love the sound of guitar – only a friend/relative will play for me sometimes though,” Dana smiled broadly, “Maybe I can get him to borrow his guitar and you could play?”
“I can handle a piano – grand-parents made me take classes, when I was younger, and some singing, but that’s also the limit of my musical abilities. I’m not too good though,” Dana answered to Mary’s question.
“But really – think about it. Hogwarts should really have a talent show one evening where anyone could participate. I mean there seems to be so many talented people around here – including you two,” Dana said with a broad gesture before grinning, “Besides it would be interesting and something new. And I personally would like to hear it as well.”
