Jersey rolled her eyes as she walked out of her last class. It was transfiguration. Today was just not a good day for Jersey in that class. Professor McGonagall completely annoyed her with everything that she did, especially with assigning her class with loads of homework due tomorrow.
She walked through the corridors gazing at everything and anything, it all seemed to catch her eye today. She continued walking until she got to the door of the lounge. She peered in there and saw a couple kids hanging out. She didn't plan on going in there, she just kind of did. She walked over to a place by the fireplace and set down dropped her books on the ground, echoing a loud thud throughout the room. She saw some 1st years look in her direction and give her dirty looks. She gave them all a smart smile and thumped into the chair, trying to annoy the kids around her.
Jersey looked down at her pile of books on the ground. She was forced to do what she hated doing most, homework. She knew that if she got it done now, she wouldn't have to worry about it later. She sighed, and picked up her transfiguration book and started doing her homework, hoping that maybe someone come and distract her.

Molly was sitting in the library doing all the homework she had been assigned that day. This was not something Molly would normally do, she usually waited till the last minute to do these kind of things, but she wanted to catch up in her homework since there was literally a mountain of homework sitting on her bed in the dormitries.
getting rather tired of thinking, Molly decided to get up and walk around the castle a bit, leaving her books behind. As she walked around she noticed that the halls were not as crowded as usual. where is everyone? Molly thought to herself as she skipped down the halls, she then decided to go to the student lounge where she thought she might find someone to talk to.
When she got to the huge oak doors that was the entrence to the student lounge, she stared at it for a moment. She was always amazed by how big the doors actually were. Molly stretched her hand out, grabbed the brass knobs and pulled the doors open to the reveal the smell of smoke from the fireplace, and the noisy students conversing within their small groups. Students from all houses were in the lounge, playing, games, talking, or doing homework , although this was not exactly the best place to be doing one's homework.
She could idmediatley spot a girl by the fireplace, a girl she knew to be in Slytherin only because she had seen the girl before with her Slytherin friends Molly estimated that the girl was about two or three years older than herself. Molly wanted someone to talk to and the girl loked sort of lonley, sitting there all by herself, so being the kind of friendly person that Molly was, she made her way over to the fireplace where the girl sat.
Molly plopped down in the chair next to the girl's. "Hello, my name is Molly Stanford. How do you do?" asked Molly in her polite, friendly voice that she always use with strangers.

Jersey hadn't exactly been working on her homework. She had mostly been sitting there doodling and biting her purple stared pencil that she bought at her last visit to Hogsmeade. This pencil was her lucky one, for it so far has helped her to pass all of her tests with flying colors since she has gotten it.
As Jersey sat there drawing a thorny flower she heard a voice talking to her. Jersey who was half paying attention to the voice, figured it would be one of her fellow Slytherians that were in the lounge asking for assistance on homework or something. Jersey dropped her pencil and hesitated, she put on a very fake smile and looked up.
To Jersey's surprise she saw that the voice belonged to a Gryffindor girl. Jersey knew the girl to be a year or two younger by the people that she hung around. Jersey was not the one to turn down a new person but she didn't exactly like the kids in Gryffindor.
Jersey looked at the Gryffindor girl and gave her a look that basically meant I am way better than you. Jersey tried to mimmic the girl's voice as best as she could as she said, "Hi, my name's Jersey Scott and I very pleased to meet you." Laughing at the way she had just acted, Jersey secretly spit on her hand and put her hand for a welcome greeting.

Katie was walking down the hall carrying her guitar in one hand and her notebook in the other. She was planing on going to the student lounge and play her music to get into the holidae sprit. Katie opened the oak doors to the lounge and she looked both ways and only saw a couple of poeple in the lounge. As her eyes spread across the crowds of students she spoted two people, one was a fourth year Gryffindor and the other was sixth year Slytherin. Katie smiled warmly as she remembered Peobe, she was a fourth year and very kind to Katie.
As she thought about her friend her smile faded as the Slytherin spit into her hands and extanded her arm out to the Gryffindor. Katie smirked at the girl and walked over towards them. She put her hand in her pocket and touched her candy lightly. She was in a good mood and felt like pranking some one. Katie reached the two girls and smiled at the Gryffindor and smirked at the Slytherin.
"I am Katie Davenport fellow first year Gryffindor and you two are?" Katie asked taking a seat next to the Gryffindor girl. She smiled up at them and played her guitar.

Molly smiled once again at Jersey and stuck her hand out to meet Jersey's, but realized that the girl was being fake and her smile faded, turning into a scowl and Molly put her hand down. "Oh, sorry I must've forgot how much you people hate us Gryffindors when we're just...." She was suddenly cut off when she heard a voice from behind her. She swirled around and saw that it was a Gryffindor first year who had introduced herself.
"Hi Katie, My name is Molly, nice to meet you." Molly looked down at the girl seeing that the girl's hand was in her pocket, there was something in there. Molly knew from being a prankster herself that it was not something ordinary and she had heard about Katie and knew that she was a prankster.
"I was just about to leave..."

Katie was relieved that Molly didnt take the Sltytherins hand. Katie looked up at the girl and smirked at her, Katie wasnt like all first year Gryffindors no she was allot braver and she never let anyone run over her or others espicaly Slytherins. She pushed back her brown hair behind her ears and looked up at Molly and smiled the prankster kind of smile. "No don't leave yet I got to get yo know yeah more." Katie said smiling.
After she said that she pulled her legs under her and rested her head on her knees. She yawned and closed her eyes slightly enjoying the heat from the fire. She was lucky this night she already had finshed her home work and she can now have free time to do what she wonted. Katie smiled and looked up at the Sltytherin who still didnt introduce herself yet. Katie rolled her eyes and turned her head towards Molly. "Not all Slytherins are mean you should get to know Phoebe and Percues they are the nicest Slytherins I meet so far." Katie said taking a peek towards the other girls way wondering if she knew the two people she had just meioned.

Mary decided to put off her homework for awhile and went to go look for people to talk to. She had had a hard day dealing with all the annoying people, especially teachers, who just wouldn’t let her, do what she wanted. She deserved a break from doing what was required.
She entered the student lounge assuming that there would be more people there than in the Slytherin common room. She pushed open the doors and knew immediately she had made the right decision in where to go. The room was occupied, but not overwhelmingly busy, and the smoke hanging in the room from the fire was nice and comforting. Looking around the room she noticed a group of three girls, two from Gryffindor and one almost annoyed looking Slytherin.
“Hey, I’m Mary Evans”, she said while taking a seat next to the Slytherin. “Everybody else skiving off homework then?”<br>

Molly smiled gratefully at Katie. "Sure I'll sit down and talk... as long as we can all get along..." At this Molly forced a smile towards Jersey.
She sat down once again by Katie. " And yes, I have met Perseus, he is very nice." added Molly with a smile.
She heard the door open and turned her attention towards a girl who had just walked in and introduced herself. "Hi Mary, Im Molly, and yes I think all of us are ignoring our homework." Mary sat down by Jersey, Molly then knew that she had to be a Slytherin.
Molly didn't know if she liked Jersey or not. She knew that most Slytherins didn't like Gryffindors. Molly grrew up in a muggle school where they talked about prejudiced - people that think the're better than everyone else because of their race, religion, gender etc. But in this case it was a certain house that hated all people in another house no matter how good those people were.
