Hi dear, How are you doing? I know this letter must come as a surprise for you. You were expecting me to be in Romania, at the wizarding journalists' conference. Well it was cancelled due to some unforeseen circumstances (nothing serious, I assure you) and I came back early, after a short vacation. It's a beautiful country. You should come with me the next time I go. Enough about me. I've written this letter to enquire about your welfare. I left for Bucharest a day before your train was to leave for Hogsmeade so I didn't get to say goodbye. I hope you're doing fine. I'm sure you are. I think it's great that you've been made the Ravenclaw prefect this year. Don't disappoint the house. It's a marvellous one......I know, I was there a long time ago. And make sure you study well. Don't take your stronger subjects too lightly! Anyway, your father and I will be going off to Japan for a holiday. It's been ages since the two off us went off on a holiday like that. We should be back in a fortnight. Do take care and hope to hear from you soon.
Love, Mum.

Hey Mum, Great to hear from you so soon! I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier. I've been busy with classes. Our new term started a few weeks ago. Classes have been really fun. I am studying hard so there's no need to worry about me. And Ravenclaw will win this year's House Cup, I'm sure of it!! It's great that you enjoyed your holidays. I'd have loved to come along. And how was Japan? I'm glad you and dad went off on a holiday. You guys needed it after all the hard work you've been doing these past few months. Ask dad to write to me once in a while. I miss him. Anyway, I have to go now. I've got a class in about ten minutes and I don't want to be late. Take care and write often. Hugs and kisses, Celina.

My dear, I must apologize for this awfully late reply. I've been so busy these past few weeks that I just haven't had time for anything else. Japan was lovely. Your dad and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. We didn't go to the city centre(Tokyo) as that would have been a little too hectic for our liking. Instead we went to the countryside to enjoy some fresh air. We stayed in a motel 150 miles from Tokyo and got the opportunity to witness the typical farmer's life in the country, quite rare though it is. So how are things with you? I hope you're studying well. You must be absolutely enjoying Transfiguration and Astronomy. I'm glad you decided to take up Astronomy this year. It's such an enthralling subject, isn't it? And how's your quidditch going? I heard you have your first match of the year coming up, against Hufflepuff. Tell me how it goes. I hate to stop right now, but I must. I've got a new project that I need to hand in by Tuesday. You know how it is. Anyway, I hope you're keeping well and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Love, Mum.

Hey Mum, I'm so sorry for not replying earlier. I've been so busy with work and quidditch practice. The game went marvellously. We won the match (heeehee) and I scored a goal or two as well. There was a big celebration in our common room right after the match. Then soon afterwards, there was a match between Gryffindor and Slytherin. Right till the end, it looked like Slytherin was going to win. They were in the lead, with Gryffindor tailing far behind but then Harry Potter (Gryffindor's seeker....he's a lot nicer than people make him out to be) saved the day by capturing the snitch. It was different for our match, in the sense that Ravenclaw was in a clear lead right from the start and it ended superbly as we got the snitch. Ralph ((Raphael's nickname)) sent me an owl a few days ago to say that he'll be in the Swiss Alps this hols, on a ski trip with his friends. About time!! It's been ages since he went skiing. He missed the last family ski-trip we had to the French Alps two years ago, remember? He was quite ill and had to stay back with Grandma in Wales. Anyway, what are our plans for Christmas? Ralph did mention something about a reunion in Wales but he was quite brief about it. Are we going to Wales then? And do you think I could invite a friend over as well? You remember Sethia Wagner, right? Well she doesn't have plans for this Christmas as of yet and I would love for her to come with us. I don't think she's been to Wales before. Do let me know as soon as possible.
Looking forward to your speedy reply, Celina.

Dear Celina, Firstly, congratulations on your team's victory. Ravenclaw has always been a superb team. I'm glad to hear of Gryffindor's victory as well. I've never been a fan of Slytherin.
About Christmas, I was going to inform you about it. Yes, we will be going to Wales this Christmas. We'll be leaving on the 23rd (to help out with preparations) and returning on the 26th. It will be a huge family reunion with most of your uncles, aunts and cousins from your father's side and a few from mine (your great Aunt Marge and uncle Victor). Your great-uncle Arthur from your father's side will be there and so will your aunt Kiera, her husband and her children, Robert and Belle. Unfortunately, your favourite cousin Alex won't be there (he might have already mentioned this to you) as he will be celebrating Christmas with his girlfriend and her family in Edinburgh. Your friend Sethia is more than welcome to come along.
That is all for now. Do keep me up-to-date with all that's happening over there. Love, Mum.
