I hope your first day of classes was fun, because today surely wasn't fun for your father and I as we have already received an owl from Hogwarts! Please tell us WHY you decided that you didn't need to go to your Charms class today! On second thought, don't tell me, I really don't care. We have tried to raise you as best we could but it's become apparent that you're turning into a little spoiled brat! So after talking with your father, we have decided that we are placing you on a weekly allowance of 10 Galleons a week. Sadly since you CHOSE to not go to class today, you will NOT get your allowance this week. Every time we get a bad note from school you will not get your allowance that week. I'm sorry that it has come to this, your father and I only want the best for you.

Mom and Dad,

Dawn has asked me to play Quidditch. I told her I hate sports but she said Slytherin needs me and I have to say yes. We are playing the gryffindorks first you see and well I couldn’t possibly help Slytherin if I have to play on those of those horrible school brooms. This is not even for me it’s for Slytherin, he would be horrified if we were to lose to gryffindorks. I know I’ve already gotten my allowance for the week, but could you please give find it in your hearts to allow me to get a new broom and maybe some equipment?

Your father and I are so proud that you have finally decided to do something worthwhile with your life. As you grow older you’ll realize that one must have more interests besides shopping and making other people miserable. You will soon find that by playing for your house you will gain even more prestige not only for yourself, but for your family as well. We will send an owl to Quality Quidditch Supplies informing them to send us the bill for your supplies.
