Dear Brooke,
My mom's just told me that you're going to be at Mrs. Perry's house on Christmas Eve and apparently I'm going to be there as well.
It's been awhile since I've seen you. How is everything going? You're still in England, right? I mean you haven't moved somewhere else, what with Rachel being an international auror and all?
How is school going? It's alright for me. The magic is cool and all, but I sure wish there was less homework. We get essay after essay after essay.
Mom's been a fanatic lately. I get one detention and the woman spazzes out about how I'm "going to be expelled and end up on the streets mugging some poor old lady landing yourself in prison". She's a nutcase, I'm telling you.
Well, I've got an essay to write for astronomy, something about Mars I think? I don't even remember.

That's great that you get to go on Christmas Eve. At least I'm guaranteed of someone to chill with if the party is dreadfully boring.
Wait, you've been to these before, are they boring? What do you do? I've never been to a fancy party before, but Rachel has told me that she went to a bunch when she was young. She said that most were dreadfully boring, but she was always anxious to go if my mother went.
School is alright. Yes I'm still at Hogwarts and Rachel didn't move again, to the best of my knowlage, but we might be going to Switzerland over Christmas. I've made some friends here, so it's all good.
And if you do end up in prison, I'll be sure to write!
Anyway, I was wondering. Do you know anything about my dad? I mean, not that I think there's some reason that you should or anything, I just was wondering.
