Fiona was sitting in her bed looking down at the book in her right hand. She wasn't reading it, but she didn't want to look like she wasn't doing anything. Fiona was in a bit of stupor. She'd been attacked in Diagon Alley. Attacked by Death Eaters and giants! She was the daughter of Sean O'Reilly, who until just recently was a Death Eater. She was even planning on following in his footsteps and yet she was still attacked. Fiona felt a tear slide down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away hoping that no one had seen it. She had been doing that all morning, but she just couldn't stop it. Her wand arm had been dislocated and it still hurt. Madam Pomfrey hadn't been by to fix it. Fiona didn't mind too much, after all there had been a lot of injured people and Madam Pomfrey was obviously working overtime as she tried to help everyone.
Fiona felt her left shoulder and pain shot through it again. Wincing she let go of her arm. She looked over at the pile of Pumpkin Pasties and Fizzing Whizbees that her aunt and uncle had brought her. They had left only a few moments ago and were planning on coming back that afternoon. They seemed to genuinely care that she was hurt and Fiona was grateful for the attention. She had been avoiding them since she moved in with them and this was the first time they really got together to talk. Although her uncle was angry that she got attacked, but Fiona wasn't sure if it was actually deliberate or just something that accidentally happened. It didn't really matter someone had saved her from getting the worst of it. She didn't really care anymore as long as her wand arm returned to normal.
Fiona picked the book up with her right hand and read the cover. 'Advanced Potions' was it's title. Fiona was still reading the advanced books and didn't really care what others thought. She was good at Potions and she wasn't going to hide it either. Besides, Professor Snape thought she was a very promising student. Before Fiona could even open the book to her last page someone came to visit her. She looked up and a smile crossed her face. "Hi, how are you?" Fiona asked as she sat the book on the table next to her so she could give her full attention to her visitor.

Kadan walked down the halls of Hogwarts toward the hospital wing. He would usually have been happy to be at Hogwarts, but he knew this visit would not be pleasant. He had heard rumors that there was a recent attack by Death Eaters and giants at Diagon Alley, and he was told that many Hogwarts student were in fact injured by this attack. He didn't know who, but he felt it was only right if he checked to see if any of his friends were injured. Not that he had many friends after last years rumor that his mother may have worked for Lord Voldemort as a Death Eater, but he figured it was worth a visit in case one of his few friends were of the few injured students.
He entered the hospital wing and was taken back by the crowd of people. Students filled almost every bed and many visitors were offering their sympathy. He looked around but didn't see any familiar faces. Just then, he noticed a girl reading a potions book, and she was all alone. Feeling bad that she had no company, he approached her.
"Hi," he said in a mellow tone. "I noticed you were all alone. I don't think we've met before," he added. "My name is Kadan Mong. I'm a third year Ravenclaw," he announced proudly. "I see you are reading a potions book. I love potions," he added. Unsure of if the girl even wanted him there, he waited silently to see if she would respond.

Alyson walked through the halls of hogwarts. Her black robe turned with every corner she toke. Until she was standing in front of two doors leading into the hospital wing. She walked in and instantly he eyes met Fiona. Alyson rushed over. " Hi. How are you feeling?" She was thinking about their last visit. Then Alyson noticed Kadan.
" Hi. I didn't know you knew Fiona." She said with a smile.

Fiona smiled up at the unfamiliar boy. She didn't mind if he had come to visit her or not. She was rather lonely and the attacks had done it's number on her. "My name is Fiona O'Reilly. 4th year Slytherin," she smiled. She knew the kind of reaction that Slytherin usually got. She ignored it as she continued, "I love potions. I'm good at all my subjects, but that's through hard work. With potions I can just do them."
Fiona turned at the sound of a girl and realized that it was Alyson. Their last meeting was strange and somewhat short. She smiled as Alyson ran to her and asked how she was. "I'm in a bit of pain, but if I don't think about it it doesn't hurt like it usually does. Madam Pomfrey has been real busy, but I'm expecting her to stop by any moment and heal this shoulder. I just hope it'll get back to normal, after all I am left-handed. It's bit annoying, really," Fiona said as she looked at Alyson.
Alyson had just seemed to notice Kadan at this point in time and she asked him if he knew Fiona. Fiona quickly answered before Kadan. "We just got to know each other. I was alone and he came to see me," Fiona said gently. Her usual attitude had disappeared and she was more inclined to be nice to people than the normal stuck up attitude she usually had. She figured it was because of the attacks, but she didn't care. She was lonely and anyone was better than no one. She looked at Kadan and smiled, she was glad he had stopped by to see her, even though it was out of pity.

Fiona introduced herself, and moments later Alyson walked in. Kadan knew her from a previous meeting, but didn't realize she knew Fiona. Alyson, who didn't know Kadan simply visited Fiona to try and be friendly, assumed he already knew Fiona. Fiona however quickly pointed out that they had just met.
"Hey Alyson," Kadan said, acknowledging her.
Unsure of what to do or say next, Kadan simply sat and smiled for a few seconds. He looked around and noticed that more people began to crowd the hospital wing, as news of the attack must have been circulating quite quickly. Glancing back at Fiona and Alyson, he figured he should say more to Fiona, being that he hadn't said much before Alyson arrived. "So what exactly happened in Diagon Alley?" Kadan questioned Fiona. "I've heard there was an attack by Death Eaters and giants, but maybe you could give a better recollection," he added curiously. He thought he may have been being kind of nosy, and then somewhat regretted asking, not knowing whether Fiona felt like talking about the attack. He sat patiently, waiting for Fiona's response.

Fiona told her that she and Kadan just met. She smiled at Fiona and bent down to get her bag. " When I heard of the attack. I went somewhere and got this." Alyson said as she pul out a potion book and a couple of darks art books. " See I know what youi like." Alyson said with a smile. Alyson didn't know what to think of the attack. She still did not make a descin. They hurt so many poeple. She would have to take more time.

((I have to modify the post I started. I thought I'd already been healed, but I haven't been healed just yet, so it won't be too big of a difference in what we already have posted. We'll just be visited by Madam Pomfrey when she can get here.))
Fiona was glad for a reason to prolong answering Kadan's question. She smiled at the contents Alyson had brought her. She couldn't have asked for anything better. "Thanks, do you mind holding them for me until I get out," Fiona asked. As there was nothing else to say, she turned to look at Kadan and for the first time she had real fear in her eyes. She him closely before she spoke.
"I tend to visit Diagon Alley a lot, especially this summer since I went to live with my uncle in London. I was looking through Flourish and Blotts. I just wanted this book," Fiona said as she raised her Advanced Potions book she had been reading earlier. A closer look showed a book with burn marks what looked to be blood. Fiona looked carefully at the book before she sat it back down.
"i just finished buying it when I walked out of the store. It was then that I saw everything. There were Death Eaters and Giants. They just came out from a Port Key and started to destroy things. I was till standing in shock in front of Flourish and Blotts. It was at this time that Aurors appeared and started to try to get rid of the Death Eaters and giants. They hit a giant and I didn't even realize it was going to fall on top of me. Someone pushed me out of the way, making me drop my book. I don't remember who it was or what they looked like, but they pushed me hard into the wall behind me and I fell. My left arm got pulled behind me when I landed and it dislocated. After all this, the Death Eaters and giants returned to the Port Key and disappeared," Fiona said as she forced herself to not tear up. The turmoil had been both awe inspiring and devastating. She still wanted to be a Death Eater, because she had promised her father as his dying wish that she would. She would follow his footsteps. Her attention fell back on Kadan and Alyson as she waited for their reply. She wasn't sure if they understood everything that had happened, but Fiona wasn't in the mood to describe everything she saw and heard. It was too soon to describe such events, especially when she needed to think about them.

" Of coarse I will." Alyson said. Fiona described what she happened in diagon alley. Alyson had the feeling Fiona would still be with the dark side. " Do you mean there were giants. Like 20 feet tall?" Alyson asked. She was curios of course. She looked around the hospital wing. There were so many people there. So people that almost died. She was glad she had sent Chev to get her stuff earlier. She just wished that some people would have done the same.

Kadan listened intently as Fiona explained the events that transpired in Diagon Alley. He felt bad for all those who had to witness it and felt a little guilty that he was fine. He wished there were some way he could help all those involved, but knew Madam Pompfrey would do her job well and heal all the injured.
He tried picturing numerous Death Eaters along with giants, casting spells and demolishing an entire street of buildings, but they his attention was drawn back to the girls. Alyson asked Fiona if the giants were in fact '20 feet tall'. He held back a small laugh after listening to Alyson. He would have rather know answers to questions about the Death Eaters. Who cares how big the giants are, he thought to himself.
"So, Fiona, did you recognize any of the Death Eaters," he asked rather nosily. "Or didn't you get a chance to see any of them among the chaos?" He realized he was being very up front, but didn't care. He hoped Fiona didn't mind either. Being from Slytherin, he thought she may be the type who would be interested things of the such.

Alyson didn't care about the death eaters. Mainly everyone knew who they were. But she waited for Fiona 's anwser. She hope it wouldn't make her mad to know her friend was still on the dark side. But she questioned it. But why? She didn't even make her mind up yet.
" Fiona were you frighted knowing you could have died?" Alyson asked. She felt guilty. She was selfish. The only reason she was even standing and well was because of her maids and butlers. But she was rich. What you espect.

Fiona looked at Alyson with a smile. Her question about the giants was a bit amusing and showed her age. "Yeah, the giants were like 20 feet. Although I wasn't really calculating how tall they were when I saw them. I was a little more concerned with not being killed by one at that point in time," Fiona said trying not to laugh. The question had been ridiculous, but what could she do about it. Alyson was interested, she should at least answer it. But that saying 'there are no stupid questions,' was definitely wrong. Fiona was pretty sure that Alyson's question qualified as stupid, but she shrugged off the thought. After all, it was just a question. Fiona bit her lip when Kadan asked her about the Death Eaters. Sure, she had seen some of them, but it wasn't something that she could say. She knew where her loyalties were and it wasn't to Dumbledore's little army of Aurors. "I wasn't really looking at their faces, I was more concerned with their wands. Mainly, there was just too much chaos to really see anything, but fire, smoke, and falling debris," Fiona said as she reached over for her water that was sitting next to her book. She took a quick drink before turning back to Alyson and Kadan. The motion caused her arm and shoulder to hurt. She winced at the pain as she tried to pretend it wasn't there. She hoped Madam Pomfrey would be able to see her soon, though, she highly doubted it since the hospital wing was full of hurt students. "Where were you two when the attacks happened?" Fiona asked with interest.

Kadan was disappointed that Fiona didn't have much to say about the Death Eaters. He was hoping to maybe hear more about them, being that stories were circulating about his mother's possible past as a Death Eater. Just then Fiona reached for her glass of water and he could tell she was in pain. He felt bad, but knew there was nothing he could do. He assumed Fiona didn't want much sympathy anyways, as she seemed to try and play off the injury as it was no big deal.
When Fiona asked where he was during the Diagon Alley attack, he thought about it. He really wasn't sure, since he didn't find out about the attack until a few days after it happened. "Somewhere in London," he told her, unsure of the exact place. He wished he could have got to see the Death Eaters, even if it meant a few small injuries. He figured he was being selfish and inconsiderate by thinking this, but he didn't care.
Kadan glanced at Alyson. She had been quiet since her question about the giants. He assumed she may have been upset that he and Fiona found it amusing, but wasn't sure. He sat, waiting for Alyson's reply to where she was during the attack.

" The day of the attack?" Alyson asked out loud. "Weren't we in the park that day Kadan?" Alyson asked the Ravenclaw beside her.
She would've forgotten since she was bad with dates. But she enjoyed the day in the park. And hoped Kadan rembered the date they had lunch toghter.
" By this makes me think how gratful I should be. If I choose to go to Diagion alley that day I could have been injured." Alyson whispered to herself.

Kadan thought. "Yeah, it might have been that day," he said, unsure. He remembered that day quite well, but still didn't know the exact day of the attack since he didn't have adequate resources for finding out the latest news in the wizarding world. When summer came around, he basically turned into a muggle for the year since he lived alone with his muggle father. Also, the fact that underage wizards were not allowed to use magic when away from Hogwarts forced Kadan to act like even more of a muggle during the summer. The only time he was around other wizards was when he ran into other Hogwarts students on break or when he visited his grandparents on his mother's side of the family. His father didn't offer to take him there too often though. Kadan thought a little more. "It probably was that day," he agreed.

Fiona listened intently to where the two of them had been. She found it rather ironic that they had both been together on the day of the attacks. Fiona shifted in her bed and pain shot through her arm again. A cry nearly escaped her lips, but she fought it back. She didn't know where Madam Pomfrey was, but the pain seemed to be getting worse. In an attempt to ignore the pain Fiona started asking more questions.
"So, have either of you gotten all of your school supplies. I was supposed to be getting some of mine during the attack. I guess Hogsmeade is the only place I can get any now," Fiona sighed as she ran her hand through her red hair. She knew she looked horrible. Her hair was dirty and frizzy. She probably hadn't even gotten the dirt and ash off her face from the attacks. She really just felt like taking a shower, but she wouldn't be able to do that until Madam Pomfrey let her go home. She sighed again as she waited for their replies.

Alyson was a little guilty. She was safe and out of harms way and was having a relaxing day with Kadan. " Umm..Yes Chev picked them up for me earlier. That week." She knew there was guilt in her voice. She was an idiot. She was there to make Fiona feel better. Not to feel worse. She toke a chair beside her. " Fiona. Were's your spunk? I miss it. Thats what makes you , you." Alyson asked as she sat beside Fiona. Fiona was on of her best friends. She felt so horrible.
She looked around the wing. Many were hurt and injured. It could have been her. She could have been there. She could of broke a leg or something. Would Kadan visit her? Would she stay in this place alone? The package chev had wrapped by her side. She rembered she needed to give it to her. " Ohh... My friend Drake well he saw use that day. And when he heard you were hurt. He asked me to give you this." Alyson said as she pulled out a wrapped box with a bow on it.

Fiona smiled at Alyson. "Spunk. It seems to be somewhere else at the moment. I'm doing fine though. I'm actually not hurt as bad as most of the other students. After all, I was saved from being seriously injured or worse killed. Really I think I'm one of the more lucky ones," Fiona said as she thought about the attacks again. She had indeed been most fortunate and she thought it had something to do with her Death Eater family. She smiled as she thought about her father. He would have been so angry to find out she was hurt. Of course, he probably wouldn't have let her go to Diagon Alley that day, but since he was dead he couldn't stop her. Her uncle would have known, but she didn't tell him she was going anywhere. She just left the manor without anyones knowledge.
Fiona's attention fell back on Alyson as she handed her a box with a ribbon that her friend Drake had got for Fiona. Fiona was surprised. She didn't know Drake and she couldn't think of why he would get her something. "What is it?" Fiona asked before she opened the box. She didn't want to be rude, but she didn't feel that she deserved another gift, especially from someone she didn't really know. Fiona left the package on her lap untouched as she waited for Alyson to reply.

"I've still got a few things to get before the school year starts," Kadan told Fiona.
He listened as Alyson asked Fiona where her 'spunk' was. Being that he had just met Fiona, he never had the opportunity to see her spunky side, but he could tell there was more to her than she was revealing. He actually hoped to get to know her better.
Watching as Alyson gave Fiona a gift from Drake, a guy Kadan didn't know, he was curious to see what was in the package. It didn't seem like Fiona knew this boy Drake either, and Kadan found it a little odd that he would just randomly have a gift for Alyson to give Fiona. He looked at Alyson, waiting for her to tell Fiona what was in the package.

She knew this would happen. " First off Drakes a nice guy and this..." Alyson said as she slid the paper of the wrapped box. " Is something from Catlina's Cubby." She said as she showed her a Slytherin tie.
She looked out the window. It had began to rain once again.

Fiona smiled at the tie within the box. She may not know Drake, but he was at least a nice guy that seemed to feel sorry for her. "Tell him thanks," Fiona said as she sat the box next to her Pumpkin Pasties and Fizzing Whizbees. "Do you guys what a Pumpkin Pasty or Fizzing Whizbee? There's more there than I'll eat," Fiona said as she motioned to the tall pile. She wasn't into fattening herself with sweets. One was enough for her, but her aunt and uncle had insisted on getting her a whole bunch to stock up on.
Fiona looked at her two guests. She knew Alyson really well and she wanted to know how her search for her twin was going. As for Kadan. She didn't know anything about him, but he seemed a nice guy. After all, who would be brave enough to actually sit in Fiona's company? She had been given a reputation of kind of a stuck up Slytherin and she wondered if he knew that. She didn't care as long as he didn't. "So, Kadan what made you really stop and talk with me? I mean it can't just be because I was alone. I'm sure there were several other students that you passed along the way that were alone. Do I look like a nice person? If I do, I must be losing my touch," Fiona laughed. She stopped abruptly at the pain that flared at the movement. "Note to self, don't laugh," Fiona said out loud as she winced at the pain. She was wondering where Madam Pomfrey was, but she tried not to show it. She could deal with pain, especially since there were more seriously injured students. She forced a smile through the pain as she waited for Kadan to reply.
