Oh My Gosh I'm Broken (Thomas/Friends)

Lark opened her eyes very slowly and all she could see was white Am I dead she thought to herself. She moved to sit upright and felt a surge of pain rush through her body and took a deep intake of breath Nope not dead she thought easing herself back down. She looked down at herself, lying in a unknown bed, and saw that her right arm was bandaged from her shoulder all the way down to her wrist and she could feel bandaging around her ribs. She looked around the room wishing she knew what happened to her seeing Thomas in a bed right beside herself. Lark looked around the room and saw that she was lying in the hospital wing at Hogwarts. There was a kid in every bed and Lark could see Madame Pomfrey running around tending to whoever was closer.

Seeing all the hurt students made Lark remember what had happened. She and Thomas had been in Diagon Alley shopping inside the quidditch shop when there was a big boom outside. They ran outside to see what had happened and saw that the menagerie had exploded people were running everywhere then at the end of the alley a group of people appeared with a few giants. They began blasting everything in site. Thomas had grabbed her hand pulling away from the danger and she had gladly followed. They must not have been running fast enough because Lark had been hit in the back with some spell which blasted her up against a wall knocking her out, after that she remembered nothing.

Lark snapped out of her daydreaming when another rush of pain rushed through her body. She took in a sharp intake of breath causing her ribs to hurt even more.

Thomas one of his eyes, it all seemed like a dream but soon he knew it wasn't a dream the pain started to come from his face. "Note to self when running from evil, go faster." He thought to himself inside his head. He tried moving but his body just didn't want to do it at the moment. The side his open eye was on didn't face lark so from what he could see she wasn't with him. Thomas started to feel very worried he opened the other finally then saw her lying down. Thomas tried to say something but his nose started to hurt and he stopped. Thomas sat up from his bed he then noticed bandages around his nose. It made his nose look like a white clowns nose. Thomas looked around the room people were all in beds they all seemed heard.

Thomas tried to stand but failed and plopped back on the bed. Thomas tried one more time and finally got up. He walked over to Lark slowly. "Hey how are you doing there?" Thomas sat down in the chair right next to larks better. She was still lying down but he could tell she was awake. "You gave me quite a scare there when you got hit." Thomas said, his nose still hurt but he tried to block it out of his mind. "I had to carry you out of there when you fell." Thomas said a sad tone in his voice this was one of his saddest moods yet. Thomas moved some of her hair off her face. "I'm sorry I should have tried to stop that spell." He said feeling like it was his fault.

Lark watched as Thomas walked over to her. She wanted to laugh at his nose but that would mean and she wasn't looking so hot herself. He sat down in a chair by her bed and asked how she was doing and told her how sorry he was. "Thomas I'm fine just in pain and don't worry about that spell. I barely saw it myself but I sure felt it" Lark said trying to laugh but then decided that might not be the smartest idea when another flash of pain rushed through her body. "Wow that hurt.........and now for more pain" she panted while struggling to sit up so she could look Thomas in the eyes. Succeeding she leaned up against the pillows and turned back to look at him.

"I guess I'll just have to get my gloves next time" she said thinking about the quidditch gloves she was going to buy before the explosion. "Thomas how did you hurt your nose? You didn't strain it carrying me away from there did you?" she knew that was quiet impossible but she might of accidentally hit him at some point. "Does it hurt much"? she asked touching her right hand, which was in pain at the moment.

Thomas just smiled when she asked he was ok. "I'm fine and the nose wasn't your fault at all." Thomas looked around all People around them seemed in pain or asleep. Thomas looked back at Lark she seemed she was in pain a lot more then he was in. "Just lie down ok there's no need to get up." He said hopping she would listen he didn't want her to be in anymore pain then she already was in. "When we get out of here I'll buy you a new pair of gloves So don't worry about that." Thomas smiled, his memories were still kind of fragmented. Thomas could only remember bits of pieces of what had happened after Lark fell.

"Jeez now that I try to think about it, I can barely remember what happened after you fell." He said scratching his head. "All I really remember is picking you up and running then no more." Thomas was a little worried about this maybe he was hurt more then he thought.

(Broke my arm once. That was no fun.)

"Thomas your a good friend and don't worry about the gloves...... black will do" she said lying back down on the on the bed and smiling at her own, if bad, joke. Lark looked around she knew allot of people in here Fiona, Hayden and many others. She tried to wave to someone but it just caused her more pain. "I wish Madame Pomfrey would come over because at the moment I'm in allot of pain....but I'm sure their are plenty of people in here in more pain than me" she said then she remembered something important.

"Thomas your toad where is it" she asked in a rush of panic. They had just been talking about his toad when the big bang happened. "Have you seen him" Lark looked over at the bed Thomas had left. Seeing no sign of the toad the worst possible thing popped into her head. "You don't think...." she didn't even want to finish the sentence.

Thomas suddenly felt cold all over he was surprised, he hadn't thought of his frog sooner. Thomas just smiled knowing he couldn't be dead it was just impossible in Thomas's mind. "Trust me all the giants and death eaters in the world couldn't kill that frog." Thomas just laughed that frog did know his way around the world. last year he forgot him at home and remember him at Hogwarts next thing he knew it was sleeping in his bed. "If I know that lazy think he'll be doing two things. Trying to find me and sleeping in the sun." Thomas looked at lark and his smile was gone. "The only things I'm worried about now is all my stuff back at Diagon alley and most importantly you."

Thomas stood up slowly then looked around. "Want me to go get Madame Pomfrey for you?" Thomas said looking down at Lark.

Lark was relieved somewhat when Thomas told her the frog would be alright. She still wasn't so sure but she trusted his judgement about the frog. She giggled at the thought that the frog was more than likely sleeping at the sign of danger. When Thomas mentioned his stuff she also remebered that his hotel was more than likely distroyed all his stuff was probably gone.

"Thomas you should contact someone about your stuff. It might have been salvaged....maybe the hotel is all in one piece even. Then you can get your things back." Lark said giving him a huge incouraging smile. She was lucky that none of her things were even near the attack....or her family. Thomas then sugested that he go and get Madame Pomfrey "Why not I could use something to knock me out" she smirked at Thomas and felt glad that someone cared about her health she didn't even see her parents.

Thomas just looked over and smiled. " I hope so I had some chocolate frogs still in there." Thomas just smiled. Thomas started to walk forward trying to find Madame Pomfrey but stumbled to a stop. "Ok maybe walking isn't a good idea." Thomas thought to himself. He started to feel a little dizzy. He sat back down in the chair next to Lark. "I've never been that dizzy in my left." Thomas said trying to smile. "I'll get Madame Pomfrey in a second but if you just want to be knocked out I could help you there." Thomas said smiling laying his head back on the chair.

Thomas closed his eyes. "I wonder what my family is doing right now?" He thought to himself, his parents were in America so they wouldn't know what is going on right now.

Lark watched as Thomas returned to his chair in, what he said was, a state of dizziness. She smiled with him when he said he'd knock her out himself. She looked around the room and in the door way was a group of people. "Thomas why don't you just ask them"? she had never seen his family but these people looked remarkably like Thomas. There was a girl, a guy, and a woman. She waved to the people to come over to them and they hurried over. I sure hope they really are his parents she thought to herself in a state of panic. They walked over and the woman had tears in her eyes. She looked back over to Thomas and watched to see what his reaction was. "Thomas are these your parents" she asked him with a sound of nervousness in her voice.

"Huh what did you say?" Thomas still had his eyes closed but then opened them to see that in fact they were. Thomas then just smiled and stood up. His mom was still cry she just ran up and hugged him. "Mom Clam down I'm ok." He said laughing. "I will do no such think You just got hurt, you could have died and you want me to calm down." She said still crying. " Mom I got off easy anyway stop hugging me I want you to meet someone ." His mom let go of him, she had stopped crying but still seemed crazy. Thomas said looking down at Lark " Mom This is Lark..." His mom Cut him off "You got a girlfriend he's growing up to soon." She said hugging him again crying, Thomas just blushed.

"Mom please calm down She's just a friend... If you act any crazier you'll be in here longer then me." Thomas said looked at his sisters they both were laughing at him. His mom finally left go and seemed to calm down. Thomas looked down at Lark. "Umm I'm sorry about that she's a little overprotective." Thomas said still blushing. "Jeez way to go mom going crazy right in front of a friend." He thought to himself.

Lark wanted to laugh so hard but she knew it would hurt her. Thomas' family was laughing enough for her though so Lark just smiled. Mrs. Lightfellow looked nice enough she acted alot like Lark's Aunt would any way. Lark stuck out her hand and smiled to Mrs. Lightfellow.

"Hello mam it's nice to meet someone from Thomas' family" she said in the nicest way possible "Thomas and I were together at the time of they attacks I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him" and that was the truth. Lark didn't know what would've happened to her if Thomas hadn't been there. "You must be Thomas' dad she said to the man standing just behind Mrs. Lightfellow. She put out her hand to be shaked.

Thomas Didn't even see his dad till Lark said something to him. His dad and mom both shoke her hand His mom must have been worried Lark thought she was crazy because she stopped talking and her face was red. Thomas's dad was smiling "Don't mind my wife miss she's been acting crazy ever since we found out you weren’t home." he said looking at Thomas. "Which as soon as you get better we are going to have to have a long talk about." He said with a straight face he almost looked mad. Thomas just looked down. " I'm sorry." His dad just kept looking at him. "We'll talk about that later , for now you get better and keep your friend here company."

His mom decided to jump in at that time. "We also got all your stuff from Diagon alley, The only think that looks broken was your broom." Thomas just Laughed he knew he was in trouble but it was to funny. "I think your talking about how it normally looks." Thomas just smiled. Thomas looked back his two sisters were just looking around than looked at Lark. " I almost forgot about my sisters." He pointed out the older looking one. " this is Daisy my oldest sister." Thomas then pointed to the younger one of the two. " And this is. Kim." He didn't look happy at all to see her and nether did she.

Lark's smile grew as she heard about the deshiveled broom and it made her think that Thomas wouldn't be in so much trouble as long as his mother was around. He introduced Lark to his two sisters. Daisy seemed nice enough but Kim looked as if she would rather be at a dump than here. "Hello" she said noding her head in acknowledgement towards the two sisters.

Lark was interested in how Mrs. Lightfellow had gotten into Diagon Alley cause at the moment it was shut off to the public. Lark was curious so she voiced her question to which Mrs. Lightfellow responded. Lark listened and nodded her head at the appropriate moments.

Thomas just stood there staring at his sister. Then Lark asked his mom how she got Into Diagon alley. "Well everyone was in such a panic I just asked where my sons room was and walked right in and got his stuff." His mom looked at him. "Your frogs missing but I think he's ok. There was a huge hole in the wall so he may have hoped away. " His mom kind of seemed sad. "His fine I know he is." Thomas said smiling his eyes finally off his sister. "Well we're going to see about getting Madame Pomfrey to stop by here we'll be right back." His mom turn around and left then his dad followed.

His Older sister gave him a hug "Get well." he said smiling then followed. Thomas didn't want to look up he know Kim was there. She just walked right up to him. "You better think of a lie fast , If you tell the truth about this so help me." She said turning and following them. Thomas sat back down. " I hate her so much." Thomas said in a low voice.

"She doesn't seem half bad" with an unsure voice as his sister walked away. The truth was Lark wasn't so sure she like her either. " You can tell your parents you just came to spend time with me.... I mean you can tell them that I was staying there for a while because me and my parents were fighting and then you can just say you came to keep me company so I wouldn't be so afraid of being alone" Lark thought about it for a minuet then added. "I'll even tell them if you dont like to......fib to your parents....I mean this is what you can say about why you weren't at home". Lark didn't want Thomas to get into trouble especially not on his sisters account. Lark waited as Thomas thought about it. It wasn't a very good lie but it could work if his parents stayed in hestaria.

Thomas just looked over at her and gave a weak smile. "It's ok I think I'll just tell them the truth." Thomas put his head back on the chair. " But I'll be safe from her for now and when I tell them maybe the whole summer." Thomas opened his eyes And smiled at Lark. "Thanks anyway." He said smiling at lark. " It was a great idea, It would have worked on me." Thomas just smiled. " Also if you ever need some company so you wouldn't be so afraid of being alone you can count on me." Thomas said with a smile and with his White clown nose cast made it look weird.

Thomas looked over at saw his family still over waiting and he could tell it was going to take a long time which Thomas was kind of glad. " At lest mom can't make him look like a fool from there." Thomas thought to himself. He was also glad his sister, Kim was still over there.
