Light slowly crept in before her eyes and all of a sudden felt a sharp pain erupt in her shoulder. Looking down she noticed her shirt had been mended but couldn’t remember why it had been torn in the first place. That is until she looked up and saw a very worried Kris sitting over her bed. She tried to sit up to greet him but found herself unable to move her muscles. Looking around for the source of her lack of bodily control she saw a vile of potion on the bedside table which she remembered from an earlier confrontation relaxed all muscles and took control of them away from the patient for 3-5 hours depending on the dosage. The white curtains were pulled around her bed and Mary figured Kris must have carried her up to the hospital wing.
She couldn’t remember exactly why she was in the hospital wing though; it obviously had something to do with this pain in her shoulder but… All she could remember were brief flashes of light and balling Kris out for ripping her shirt while surrounded by snow. What on earth Mary was doing outside at night in the winter though was beyond her. Concentrating on the flashes of memories that came to mind she was able to piece together that she was with Kris, the great lump Crabbe, an older blond Slytherin, Dawn, Perseus, and Justin. ‘What an odd group for me to be consorting with. I barely know any of them except Kris, maybe he dragged me along considering they are all around his age. Wouldn’t be unlike him to drag me over to older people then picking a fight and I end up hurt.’ Mary ranted in her head knowing that wasn’t true but trying to find some explanation. Thinking of that she remembered that he was there and turned her head toward Kris. She still felt light-headed but was glad that the potion must be wearing off. She gave him a gentle smile “Hey Krissy Bear. What brings you all the way up here?” she asked in a voice barely above a whisper.

Kris was in the Hospital Wing after having carried Mary there and he was sitting next to her bed. Madam Pomfrey had been shocked as Kris had practically kicked the door in, when he reached the hospital wing, but seeing Mary’s unconscious body she had gotten right to work. Kris had stayed out of her way as she worked and when madam Pomfrey had finished with Mary and wanted to throw him out, Kris had showed him the burnt scars he had gotten on his chest and arms. Madam Pomfrey had sounded exasperated but given him a healing salve and told him to stay in bed and that Kris would have to spend the night at the hospital wing as well.
Kris had been calmly in the bed meant for him, but as soon as madam Pomfrey had left he was out of the bed and sitting next to Mary’s bed. Kris closed his eyes tiredly – he was still worried about Mary. He had been freaked as she collapsed and Kris even felt a bit guilty that the younger girl had gotten hurt. She hadn’t even been engaged in the duels and that’s why she must have been harmed more as well. Spells always affected one stronger if he wasn’t fighting them.
Kris opened his eyes quickly hearing Mary’s voice. It was merely a whisper but he had been waiting for it and the hospital wing was quiet enough, so he didn’t even have to strain his ears to hear it. “You, princess, who else,” Kris smiled at Mary feeling relief flow through him, “Don’t you ever dare to scare me again like that – passing out on me. Gray hair wouldn’t really suit me that well and I’m too young to get them, but if you’ll ever pull a stunt like that again, I’m bound to have white hair.”
Kris nodded towards the night-stand next to Mary’s bed: “Do you want a glass of water or anything else? Or should I call madam Pomfrey to check up on you?”
Mary’s smile broadened at Kris’ quick snap to attention when she had spoken. “You, princess, who else” he responded to her question. Mary knew just then that this would be a sappy emotional thing; not that she had expected anything less from Kris. He always behaved apathetically except when she or Dana were involved and because they were like a family although Mary was not of their blood. She lovingly referred to him as her big brother a lot of the time and it often seemed as if he was. She smiled at him glad she was not alone and feeling like nothing bad could happen to her while he was there. She knew that was not true, otherwise she wouldn’t be in the hospital wing at the moment but it was a nice feeling. She let out a small giggle as he mentioned going grey seeing as his jet-black hair was anything but grey and she just couldn’t imagine it otherwise without at least a smile.
“Yes please for the water and no thanks I'm ok for calling Madam Pomfrey.” Mary said to him. “Be warned though I still don’t have control over my arms or hands so… Krissy can you help me sit up? I hate just lying here with you sitting over me, but again I have no control over my body beyond my head. Hopefully this potion will wear off soon; how long ago was it administered?” Mary asked all of a sudden curios as to how long she had been out.
Mind skipping away once again Mary looked over at him. “How’s Dana taking this? Have they told her? Both of us in the hospital wing I mean; if she knows she must be quite worried. Surprised she isn’t banging down the door this minute.” Mary said with a grin. Flighty as she was Mary then began humming nothing in particular.

Kris smiled as Mary giggled and listened to her other words already standing up to help Mary sit up, when he froze, her words resounding in his brain. Dana. Kris frowned – he hadn’t let Dana know yet, and he doubted anyone else had thought about it yet as well. “She’ll have my neck for not letting her know earlier,” Kris muttered pulling out a quill and a piece of parchment from a drawer at the night-stand near Mary’s bed and scribbling a quick note to Dana, telling her that Mary and he were both in the Hospital Wing for the night and they weren’t lethally wounded. Kris shook his head and walked to the window whistling for his owl, who came almost immediately.
Moving back to Mary’s bed Kris seated him on the edge and moving Mary’s pillows more comfortably helped her lean on them, so she was half-sitting now. Pouring a glass of water for Mary he held it to her mouth, being certain she didn’t have enough control over her arms to hold it herself. After Mary had drank as much as she wanted Kris put the glass back on the night-stand and moved to sit in the footboard of Mary’s bed, leaning on a bed-post. Shrugging off his shirt, as it hurt from where it touched the burns on his chest, Kris threw it over to his own blouse. He was in good-enough shape to not be ashamed of being without it, even when some girl would come to visit the hospital wing.
“The potion should wear off soon enough. It was given to you about 3; three and half hours ago? You’ll spend the night here though. Maybe even tomorrow – madam Pomfrey said she’d decided that after the next time she examines you,” Kris answered glancing at his wristwatch and grimacing. He and Dana were cousins but they had been brought up, thinking of each other as a brother and sister and they were close. And Mary had been basically adopted as their younger sister as well. “Dana is definitely going to have my head for not letting her know earlier,” Kris told Mary with a grimace.

“Your head!” Dana burst through the doors leading into the Hospital wing, just in time to hear Kris’s last words, “You’d be lucky, if I only skinned you alive for not letting me know earlier!”
Dana rushed forward and slapped Kris gently in the back of his head: “I was worried you know! And receiving such a brief note! Hah! I SHOULD skin you alive!”
Dana gasped for breath, as she had obviously ran and breathed deeply for a couple of minutes. She glanced at Mary and Kris, as she positioned herself into the chair Kris had been sitting in earlier. “Are you alright Mary? You don’t look too great – no offence. And those burns look nasty, Kris. Has madam Pomfrey checked on you both already?” Dana asked after having taken a couple of moments to catch her breath as she leaned back in the chair, “What happened to the two of you anyways?”
Isabella awoke in a hospital bed with her head throbbing madly. Looking around the room she wondered what happen to her. She didn’t know where she was either. A confused look lay on her face as she moved up in her bed and saw some young girl in a bed next to her. Tucking a lock of blonde hair behind her ears she looked at the girl and tired to remember who she was. Nothing came to mind than it hit her, she was Mary Evans one of the girls she had just gotten a fight with but she fainted. Isabella looked around the room again and wondered how she got here. Did she drag herself here? Or did some one help her? Touching her head she looked next to her to see Jordan sitting down. Isabella looked at the younger girl who she grew to love like a sister. A faint smile spread across her lips as she took Jordan hand and squeezed them lightly. "Thank you" a faint whisper came from her throat and she collapsed back down in the bed and turned her head towards the people gather in the bed next to her.
Her light blue eyes danced from each person wondering who they were. A confused look still lay on her face as she looked at them and blinked her eyes. "Do I know you?" She asked in a faint whisper. Isabella really wonted to know who the people were next to her and what happen to her. Turning her back to Jordan she smiled faintly. "Jordan where did yea find me" Isabella asked and moved further down into her bed. Her light blue eyes still danced across the room and her mind was blank.
((Sorry so short I am completly out of inpiartion tonight. I hope you dont mind me bringing Jordan into this.))

Jason was asleep in a chair in the Hospital Wing. Suddenly he heard a commotion and woke up. He saw that Mary had woken up and that the others had already noticed. STanding up, he walked over to her very quickly. He said " Thank goodness that you're awake, I was very worried about you. I'm glad your ok." He then looked at the girl on the next bed and saw Isabell. " Woah, my cousin and Perseus did a number on her." Then he turned his attention back to Mary.

((Hmm, kick me out if ya like, but Isa did bring me into this...))
Jordan was twiddling her thumbs next to Isabella's bed. Her eyes unfocused, the last time she was like this was with Katie and...she really didn't want to feel helpless again. She had been there for a little over 20 minutes, her thumbs twiddling away. She couldn't help but feel like no one needed her at the moment, but she knew that was wrong. Isabella needed her more than anything in the world. Jordan was going to be there for her, no matter what. As Jordan sat, twiddling her thumbs, she secretly wished that Isabella would wake up. For if she didn't, that would be two sister's in a come and everything would just fall a part. She just hoped that Isabella didn't have a father to kill as well.
Isabella woke up, and Jordan looked at her. Speechless, before she jumped up and threw her arms around the Slytherin. Tears springing to her eyes but, not flowing. She laughed and pulled away, wiping at the tears that still remained in her eyes. She sat down again and grabbed Isabella's hand, but she didn't seem to remember anything. Jordan lowered her head, trying to think of a way to bring the girl's memory back. None came to mind, "How did I fi-find you? Oh, um. Aimlessly walking, saw you, and before I could say anything you collapsed. I got you here as soon as possible, which was extremely hard, considering you weigh like 15 more pounds than I, and you were dead weight. But, I got you here, I did." Jordan answered with a small reassuring smile. Some how, Jordan always kept her head in situations like these.
"Now, what in hell happened?" She asked sternly. Wondering how in the world Isabella could end up in the Hospital Wing, losing her memory. Jordan thanked God that she still remembered who Jordan was, if she didn't what a treat that would be.

“Thank goodness” Mary said at the suggestion that the potion should wear off soon. She laughed as Kris commented on Dana having his head for not telling her sooner, and it was true; no sooner had the words escaped his mouth then she barged into the room ready to skin him alive. “I'm fine, I'm fine.” Mary said to her concerned friend while rolling her eyes at Kris. “I don't really remember; I was outside for some reason and saw people. Some girl pushed Justin to the ground for no reason and then a bunch of other people showed up. And then there were lights flying everywhere and something came at me. The ground rose and I jumped on Krissy’s back. Next think I know I'm in the snow with my shirt ripped and shoulder throbbing, and now I'm here.” Mary answered her question.
Dana must have left one of the curtains around the bed open because looking around the room she saw the girl in the next bed. Mary couldn’t remember her name, or if she even knew it, but there was no doubt that was the girl who attacked Justin out of nowhere. With her was Jordan whom Mary had met briefly once. Mary was unsure of what to say to the girls, but she did not worry about it for too long because next thing she knew Jason came in, apparently he was waiting somewhere else in the room for her to wake up. “Hey handsome, I thought I told you I was a big girl and could handle myself; no reason to worry.” She said with a grin lifting her arms as much as she could so he would come give her a hug.
“I really don't know what all this fuss is about, you guys are acting as if I was on the brink of death. I mean sure I was probably out cold and cant remember a thing but…” Mary said trying to hide how much she loved the attention. If there was one thing Mary was not used to it was being ignored. She was a complete Leo in that way; she adored the attention, good or bad. Plus it was just always great to have people come visit and fawn over you.
((Of course I don't mind Jordan coming in, that why its open. I figured people could come visit us so feel free to drag all your friends in here.))

Kris watched everyone in the hospital wing. He hadn’t really even known about Isabella and Jordan being present, so he nodded to Jordan deeply as a greeting. He ignored Isabella though – Kris was still wary of her, as she had been opposing. “As neither Mary nor Isabella seem to remember what took place, I guess I have to recite the evening,” Kris said loud enough to be heard by everyone in the hospital wing, “Mary, Dawn, Isabella, Justin, Perseus, Crabbe and me ran into each-other near the like-shore. To cut a long story short, let’s say that we had a little dsisagreement. Lines were divided – Dawn, Isabella and Crabbe against the four of us. Mary didn’t draw a duel, but the rest of us, got into a duel.”
Kris paused, wondering into how many details he should go. “Well, Mary got hit by a stray spell and blacked out. Which reminds me , that I owe you a new shirt for the one I cut,” Kris told Mary with a smile, “And she also had some poison or something in her shoulder. I carried her here and madam Pomfrey took over. And since then we have pretty much been here.”
Kris sent a icier glance at Isabella. He didn’t forget that quickly, that she had been an opponent, even though they hadn’t dueled against each other. “I don’t have a clue of what happened to Isabella there though, as I took off with Mary.”
Kris fell silent watching the scene and made eye-contact with Dana, nodding slightly, as if saying that he’d tell her more detailed recite of the events later, if she wanted. For now Kris waited to see what the reactions to his words would be.

Jordan listened to Kris tell the story, still a bit bewildered he even noticed her there, and turned to Isabella with a raised eyebrow and a dark look in her eyes. She crossed her arms firmly over her chest and glared down at the girl who was an older sister to her, "Why were you so stupid? Eh? You could've gotten worse then this, Chica..." Jordan scolded harshly. When she was sisterly, she was sisterly. If no one believed that, they could ask anyone...when Katie needed her most Jordan was there. When Katie started to burn herself, Jordan was there. Now, Isabella needed her. And she was there.
Jordan looked at Kris, slightly amused by what she had been told and uncrossed her arms, "What exactly was it that you guys were disagreeing over?" She asked, her tone slightly nicer than what she had used on Isabella. Jordan looked at Isabella again, wasn't she supposed to be the older and more mature of the two? Jordan was the one who was supposed to act up, not Isabella. Jordan sighed in slight defeat and sank down into the chair, her hand on her forehead.

Mary listened to Kris’ story with little interest; sure she couldn’t remember it exactly herself but she didn’t really care. She was shocked when Jordan asked what the disagreement was about. “I swear I just mention what it was about. What's her name was trying to be all big and bad pushing Justin to the ground. Next thing we know she’s picking a fight five Slytherins against one Gryffindor; couldn’t even wait for a fair fight. Slytherins are better than that, we shouldn’t get into fights like that because it looks like we are incapable if winning a fair fight” Mary scolded the girl with a glare as she spoke, she did not feel like another fight but she had to put her two cents in for sure. “So of course Kris and I go over to Justin’s side because it wasn’t his fault they couldn’t wait a day or two so that it could be fair, just as Perseus showed up. Then Perseus and Dawn did some spells and I got hit in the head and other things happened that don't affect why the ‘disagreement’, as Kris so eloquently put it, began.” Mary finished surprising herself with how much she remembered. She supposed it was just because she felt so strongly about people like that making Slytherins look bad for no reason; she understood if it was a situation where you really did have to fight dirty but…

“The argument was about whether Gryffindors were worth something or not. The main person we discussed was that Lionheart fellow, naturally, but the whole house was mentioned,” Kris said soothingly, rotating his shoulder, as it was sore and rather stiff, “Never was one for an unfair fight.” Kris’s last comments were once again accompanied with a cold look towards Isabella as she had started the argument, which had resulted in duels. Kris didn’t feel any compassion towards her because of this. Dana and Mary were both sisters for him and equally close, even though Mary wasn’t a blood-relative. Which was why Kris reacted so stormly at Mary being hurt – he wouldn’t have cared much about anyone else and wouldn’t even be in the hospital wing for his own injures, if that hadn’t meant leaving Mary alone in here.

"You guys started this fight because, of Justin?" Jordan looked to Isabella with both of her eyebrows raised this time. Justin and Jordan were friends, she wouldn't say close. But, they were friends. Jordan sat up straight and thought this over in her mind. She didn't know what to say or do. She just looked at Isabella, slightly angered and slightly disappointed. This was definitely not the Isabella Jordan knew. The Isabella Jordan knew was lively, fun, smart, encouraging. Not, cold, nasty, and dark. But, then again...she was a Slytherin.
"I hate the war between the houses thing. It bugs the hell out of me. Someone could get hurt and you two are proof of it. God, I sound like my brother." Jordan shivered lightly and pulled her legs up onto the chair with her. She bit her lip, thinking how it would have been if the duel hadn't happened. And why in hell did Isabella push Justin? Did he say something to her that made her see red? Or was it just her way of saying hello? Not, that, that was an excuse. Jordan looked from one person to another, not asking anything.

Dana listened to Kris’s and Mary’s explanations wordlessly, accepting and understanding the look, Kris sent her, that said that he would tell Dana anything she wanted to know later. “Well, I think I can pretty much guess what the ‘disagreement’ was about,” Dana moved to sit on the footer of Mary’s bed as well, although on the other side than Kris, “I’m glad you two made the fight more fair though. Justin is a great guy.”
Dana leaned on Kris’s shoulder – the one that wasn’t hurt and sighed: “Think we should add dueling to our regular wand-practices? Wouldn’t hurt really.” Dana pondered about it for a little and decided that the idea was worth trying at least once. Kris was better in dueling than she was, but the practice would be welcomed to the both of them.
“So when are you both getting out of this place?” Dana asked and winked at Mary, “He cut your blouse? Outside? And it was a cute blouse none the less!”
Rolling her eyes with a grin, towards Mary, Dana added: “Men. Can’t live with them, can’t live without them. But at least we can drag him along to carry our bags next time we go shopping, pressing on the guilt that he destroyed your blouse.”
Dana’s eyes twinkled as she didn’t pay any attention to Kris’s groan.
