Her lab had been located at the end of the hospital wing since her first day at Hogwarts. When she first came it was a tiny closet used to keep extra bandages and padding, but she had insisted on brewing her own potions, and so the room soon became her escape from the commotion of the students. In her tiny room it was quiet, she kept few candles so the lighting was dim, but for her it was perfect for creating medical potions.
Earlier that morning shame had spoken to her at the breakfast table, telling her that he was sending a student to help her with her potions for two weeks. That was all the information he had given and she did not pry for more. Instead, she told him to inform the student that he was to meet her at exactly three o'clock every afternoon, weekends included, and work with her until dinner, also that he could meet her in her tiny lab, where she would be waiting.
It was currently five of three, and she was carefully funneling a cobalt colored powder into a glass jar as she waited for the students arrival.

Pyro sighed as he walked down the corrider towards the hospital wing. He had to admit he was lucky to only recieve two weeks with Madam Pomfrey. He had gotten a note from Snape telling him where to go and at what time. he carried his bag slung over his shoulder, his other hand swinging loosely at his side. he looked down at it and groaned. He still wore the wrist brace. Pomfrey had had a cow when he had steped into the Hospital wing, his wrist swollen and the only explanation he had was he punched a wall. She had told him to not use the wrist and to let it heal. Hed forgotten to do that. hed still done his martial arts and wrote with the bad wrist, so basicly the wrist had made no progress.
Maybe she wouldnt notice today, since she was going to be busy with other stuff. He reached the hospital wing and steped in, dropping his bag near the door he made his way to the back of the room and found Madam pomfreys lab. he knocked on the door and than steped into the lab. "Madam Pomfrey? Im here."

Hearing the voice she glanced up at the clock to see that it was precisely three o’clock, just as she had instructed. She nodded slightly, finishing pouring the cobalt powder before she looked over at the boy.
“Well, you better put those things down. You are going to need to use both your hands.”
She paused for a moment after she spoke and stepped closer to the students, her eyes narrowing slightly before she reached a hand forward and picked up his injured wrist. “Make that one hand. Healing cannot take place correctly if you do not give it time, Master Blackfire.”
She nodded slightly letting go of his wrist and moving back to the table where she pulled a mortar and pestle off of a near by shelf and then moved to a different shelf on the other side of the room to look over a row of herbs that were handing upside down from the bottom of it. After a moment of careful examination she pulled one of the herbs down and put it on the table beside the mortar and pestle.
“Well…get started”

He couldnt help but groan as Pomfrey stoped to analize his hand. He frowned slightly, "Ah dont worry, miss. Its basicly healed, I just keep it in the brace just in case, you know?"
He watched her for a minuet as she got a mortar and pestle out and set it onto the table, than picked up a herb and placed it along them. Pyro looked at them for a moment. "well...Get started." She said to him. His eyes snaped up to hers. "Huh? Oh! right!" He moved up to the table.
He took the herb and placed it into the mortar. He picked up the pestle and was about to start crushing the herb into powder when he looked at pomfrey and noticed she was watching. With a sigh he switched hands and began to crush the herb using his left hand.

"You should know better than to try and pass an injured wrist by a healer. I can tell the differerence just by looking at it. Now if you had just left it alone it would have been healed by now." She nodded at her own comment, thinking that she would have to keep an eye on him. There were a few imobile charms that were above the students. With the charms she used on it, and the stage it was in now, it should have been healed in a weeks time. If it was no so by then, she was going to have to use one.
"No, Master Blackfire, are you aware of the properties of Myrtle?" After she spoke, she wondered if he even realized that was the herb he grinding.

Pyro groaned inwardly as he recieved a lecture. He opted to just drown her out and concentrate on grinding the herb. Finaly it seemed like she was done. "Yea, I realize that, but you do realize even if I was to stop using it it would stil take atleast a week or two. Do you know how rusty I can become with a week or two of absence?"
"hhmm..Myrtle? Myrtle?" He tried to remember Snapes classes to see if they had ever discussed Myrtle. Than he shrugged. "Slightly. I think Sn.....Professor Snape may have mentioned it in class once or twice, but weve never had to big of a discussion about it." He looked down at the herb he was grinding. "But, I do believe this is Myrtle. Isnt it?"

"One week of missed practice, Master Blackfire, is well worth it when you consider the risk of permanent damage if you do not let it heal completely. If you to not let it heal completely your strength in that arm will always be compromised.”
She kept an eye on him a she pulled out her wand, and started to clean bandages that were out on the table. She had to stop up o her supplies I preparation for the upcoming quidditch matches.
“Yes, that is Myrtle.” She sighed to herself. Were they learning nothing in Herbology and potions? “Myrle is ground into a paste and rubbed into bruises to ease their pain and speed healing. It is also used in potion and drinks to ease the symptoms of a cold.”

Pyro smirked as he half listened to the lecture. His style had always been to wrap up the injury and continue to do natural activities untill it stoped hurting. Thats what he had done with most of his injuries, and now they didnt hurt or compromise his arm at all. "One time, I broke my wrist. I didnt do anything special with it. Put a splint on it. As I worked with it it hurt, but after awhile the pain goes away and the wrist is as good as new."
He watched out of the corner of his eyes as she cleaned bandages and couldnt help but let a chuckle escape his lips. It was common knowledge that Pomfrey disaproved of the violentness of Quidditch. Pyro rememberd last game he had taken a nasty bludger hit that had made him have to sit out the rest of the game. Though he didnt go to Pomfrey for the hit.
He looked down at the Myrtle. "Really? Interesting." He said during her little lesson. Wondering why she was even bothering to tell him that.

She knew that he wasn’t really listening. She knew that she was a bit set in her ways, but she always did it for the benefit of the students. That said it touched a nerve when students did things that were not good for them. Severus seemed to have left her with just such a student.
“Master Blackfire, I know that studying the medical is not how you would like to spend your after noon, but while you are here under my supervision, I expect to give you something to take away. There is no harm in knowing how to heal a few simple medical problems.”

"Yes I understand what your trying to do Miss Pomfrey, but honestly I think your wasting your breath." He turned to face her and tapped his head. "See, medical treatment has never been a favored topic of mine, and if I have no interest in it, nothing will stick."
"And besides. This is fine." He raised his hurt wrist and rotated it, a small pain shot through it, nothing he couldnt hide from view. "See?" He looked down at the herb he was grinding. "Ok, I think its pretty well grinded, what next?"
