As Judith finished lunch on the second day she decided it was finally time to go skiing. She went up to her room and put on her warmest sweater with a pair of jeans that her roommate Mary had charmed to keep the cold and wet out and keep her legs perfectly warm. She then threw on a ski jacket and shrunk her skies to fit into her pocket. She left the entrance hall toward the ski/snowboard hills when she saw Molly, a Gryffindor she had talked to earlier, walking in front of her. “Hey” She said. “Want to come hit the slopes with me?”

Molly was in her room gathering up all her stuff because she wanted to go snowboarding. She felt that she needed some fresh air. Before Molly went out she quickly swept her brush through her hair and tied it into a ponytail. She checked to see how she looked in her compact mirror. She thought she looked gorgeous as usual, shame she was going outside. Molly haistily pulled her helmet on over her head, it looked rather silly, but at least she would be safe. She ran out the door into the corridors going, at a fast pace, eager to get outside.
Molly was walking along the corridors snowboard in hand when she heard a voice behind her. She stopped and turned around to face Judith, a girl who she had met only once. Judith wanted to know if Molly wanted to go on the slopes with her. "yeah I'd love to go!! I was just heading there myself!" Molly said brightley. Molly lead the way out into the cold, crisp air. "So which slope would you like to go on?"

Judith was glad when Molly said she wanted to go with her; they had only spoken once but Judith had wanted to get to know her better. “Well, preferably one of the smaller ones to begin with; I haven’t been skiing in almost a year. But I know I will soon get the hang of it again and then maybe if you want we can go for something a bit more challenging?” Judith said in reply to Molly’s question on which slope to face first.
The two girls then set of for the slopes together. “So, how have you been enjoying the trip so far?” Judith asked hoping to strike up a conversation.

Molly nodded her haid when Judith said they should begin with smaller slopes "yeah I'm a little rusty myself." said Molly looking at the snowboard she she was carrying. "So far I've loved the trip! it's been great fun! Have you been enjoying it?" she asked as they made their way over to the ski lift.
Before they got on the ski lift Molly bent down and strapped her snowboard to her shoes. As they sped upward towards the slope Molly glanced down at her snowboard and then at the people racing below. Molly slipped off when it was time and gracefully glided to the right waiting for Judith to join her.

“Oh the trip has been lovely. Everyone is in such a wonderful mood and I have been doing so many interesting things. I’m really going to miss it when we go.” Judith said as she put on her skies.
The girls then sat on the ski lift and were carried up the hill. Judith was so enthralled with being back on a ski hill she didn’t even consider conversation. As Molly slipped off the lift Judith realised how quiet she had been and hoped Molly hadn’t thought her rude or believed she didn’t like her. Judith then got off and joined Molly. Looking down the slope Judith felt extremely excited about the trip down. “Ready?” she asked, giving Molly a broad smile.
