Judith pulled on her gloves and listened to Jasmine sing. Though Jasmine had sung before to Judith it sounded even better out there, like she was proclaiming it to the world not just amusing herself. When Jasmine finished Judith decided to sing one of her favourite carols. “O Come All Ye Faithful’, join me this time Jasmine I think our voices would complement each other nicely.” Judith than began the sing. “O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, Oh come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem; come and behold him, born the King of angels; O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord. God of God, light of light, lo, he abhors not the virgin's womb; very God, begotten not created: O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord. Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation, sing, all ye citizens of heaven above; glory to God in the highest: O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord. See how the shepards summoned to his cradle, leaving their flocks, draw nigh with lowly fear; we too will thither hend our joyful footsteps; O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord. Yea, Lord, we greet thee, born this happy morning; Jesus, to thee be glory given; word of the Father, now in flesh appearing: O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.”
As Judith finished she felt the piece that Christmas carols had always brought her. She looked around at the students playing in the snow, others talking, and others just relaxing in the snow. ‘This is how the world should work’ she thought to herself.

Vanessa looked up at the faint sound of Jasmine's voice. Her eyes searched the snow couvered mounds of grounds and her new boots sank deep into the whiteness of the new fallen snow. She tucked some of her hair behind her right ear and continued her search for Jasmine. Then another voice began to sing, it was a different song. Could it be Christmas carols? Vanessa smiled at this and continued to "run" through the snow.
She turned on a slippery corner and nearly fell into an oncoming student, she smiled an apology and ran towards the singing voices. Her eyes darted to the middle of a place and she recognized Jasmine from way off. Picking up her skirt she walked over to her and the other girl and tilted her head as she continued to listen. She then smiled warmly and looked at Jasmine.
"Mind if I join you?" Vanessa asked with a brilliant smile and flick of her wrist that made her bracelets jingle. Vanessa loved to sing, Jasmine had actually met her while she was singing Carols in Hogsmeade. They had then clicked instantly and were friends. Which was really a good thing, considering Vanessa was really shy and never really spoke to anyone unless spoken to.

Jasmine listen to Judith sing and she smiled. She was glad that she made a new friend that was her age in also in her house. Jasmine smiled warmily at Jusith and look off into the distance. The snow fell lightly and danced around in the air. Jasmine had a smile on her face that seemed to be to big. She had never known when she had this much fun. She continued to look off into the distance at the moutains covered in snow and the sun was setting. Their was a beautiful organe light in the sky and Jasmine eyes twinkled as she looked up at it. It was so beautiful that it stunned her.
She than heard a fimlar voice and she squealed lightly. "Vanessa there you are have you been hiding from me? and also of course you may join us." Jasmine smiled at her friend and looked over at Jusith. "This is Vaness but I will let you guys introduce yourselfs to one of another." Jasmine said and stared up at the sky and her eyes twinkled even more.

As Judith finished her song she noticed another girl standing there. ‘Wow I must have gotten really caught up in the moment, I hadn’t even noticed her coming.’ Judy thought. When the girl asked to join them Judith responded, “The more the merrier. I’m Judith Chloe by the way. So are you guys up for something a little less churchy? Say… ‘12 Days of Christmas?’” Judith asked with a smile.

Vanessa had to laugh at the fact of hiding from Jasmine. Hiding from anyone else, most definitly, from Jasmine? No. Jasmine would find her somehow. Though, Vanessa was rather good at hiding.
"I'm Vanessa Link. Nice to meet you. I heard you guys caroling and thought, hey I should join...I mean I know almost every Christmas carol, and any other Holiday song. Oh, and if you get tired of saying Vanessa, go ahead and call me Nessa." Vanessa smiled as she answered and she jiggled her wrist again and the jingley sound continued.
"Oh, 12 Days of Christmas sounds fun.."She added as Judith asked about the song. She bit her lip and tilted her head upward towards the sun, she smiled adn shook her head as the snow started to fall onto her brown hair. The white snowflakes touched her darkblue cotton skirt and clinged to it, she laughed and brushed it off with giddyness.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you too Nessa.” Judith said. “And I am delighted to see you came with bells on.” Judith couldn’t help but add when she heard the jingling of Nessa’s bracelets. “So who would like to begin this one?” Judy asked.
She then looked toward the mountains and watched people ski and snowboard. She felt euphoric as she watched he sun slowly but noticeably sink lower in the sky. She sighed at the beauty of the colours and the girl’s voices. Judy missed her family for sure, especially her little brother who always seemed cute around Christmas because he got so excited. She would not have traded this trip for the world though, this moment alone made up for all the sadness she felt at not being with her family.

Kat dashed through the snow with sleigh-bells tinkling almost madly at the sleigh that she was leading. Kat laughed out of pure joy and let the wind, that was partly caused by the speed she was going at, throw her long hair wildly behind her.
Kat had met an old friend when she had wandered towards the horse-sleighs before. AS it turned out the man, who had taught her to ride and take care of horses was a squib and he owned a couple of sleighs that entertained people here at Weinig Zug. Kat had always have an almost magical bond with animals – especially horses, so after catching up a little and after showing the now retired trainer a picture of her horse – a huge black stallion called Winddancer, the trainer had offered her to borrow one of the sleighs.
The roan in front of the sleigh was a pretty animal and seemed to enjoy the run as well. Suddenly Kat heard someone singing and she guided the sleigh towards the singers. She reached them from behind when they were singing ’12 days of Christmas’. Kat had slowed the horse down further already and stopped him quietly behind the three girls, recognizing one of them as Vanessa – who she had met before, and the other two as 5th year Ravenclaws.
Kat clapped after the song was finished. “That sounded great! You three should really have a concert at Hogwarts some time –or a talent-show should be held there,” Kat smiled and picked up the reigns once again, “Merry Christmas you all! Maybe I can here you sign more later, if you are still there.”
Kat smiled and waved clicking her tongue to the horse who neighed and slowly started walking forwards again.

Jasmine eyes sparkled as she still held her head up to the sky and watched the color fade. It reminded her of home back in the farm house and sitting on the swinging bench and watching the stars come out and the color fad from the sky. With a deep sigh Jasmine turned her head at her friends and laughed softly at the jingle on Vanessa bracelet. Even know she had just meet the girl a couple days ago they both clicked and Jasmine had just made so many great new friends. She wished that Kelsey could also have gone on the trip but she went back at home. She and Kelsey have known each other for a long time. Since her parents didn’t won’t her in their life they dropped her off at an orphanage and didn’t even say good bye. Jasmine could feel her eyes sting with tears but she held them back. Since she had been in the orphanage she felt like no one wonted her and went through a slight depression.
"I will start it if you don’t mind." Jasmine finally said with a warm smile and looked off into the distance. She fixed her gaze at the beautiful mountains and she took a deep breathe from her gut and open her mouth.
"On the first day of Christmas, My true love sent to me A partridge in a pear tree.
On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree." Jasmine sang but than saw a beautiful roan horse trot up behind them carrying a sleigh.
Her eyes soon with delight and she felt her heart skipped as the horse nickered softly to them. She went up to the horse and stroked his long arching neck. There was a smile on her face that was way to big. She had never smiled like this expect with her own horse Midnight. As her hand went down the horse neck she patted him softly and stepped back and looked at the girl. She must be a first year due to the fact that she looked that age of 11 or 12. Jasmine hadn’t seen the girl around but she must known Vanessa. Jasmine looked at girl and smiled warmly. "Thank you and you are always welcome to join to us." Jasmine said in her kindest voice and she looked back up into the stars and sighed deeply at the beauty.

Kat watched as one of the older Ravenclaw students walked to the horse and petted him with a big smile. The familiarity in which it was done, showed the fact that the girl had done it before as well.
“You know horses. Have one yourself, or at least have had close contact with some,” Kat remarked squinting her eyes and closing them in concentration to remember the girls name. It took a moment and then it came to her – the girl was the reserve keeper of the Ravenclaw quidditch team.
“Jasmine Anderson, right?” Kat said with a smile remembering the other Ravenclaw’s girl’s name as well, having seen her around ,”And Judith Chloe.”
“Thanks for the offer, but I have to take care of this beauty and return him afterwards, so can’t join the caroling – at least not now. I can offer you a quick ride to somewhere though, if you want,” Kat offered easily smiling at Jasmine. Kat owned a horse herself and she and her brother had their own little stable with 8 horses back at home. Kat adored horses and it would have been nice if she found someone to speak about them at school , but deciding now was not the time, Kat didn’t bring the subject up.
“Just wanted to say you three sound amazing. Couldn’t resist myself,” Kat smiled to show the compliment was sincere.

Judith smiled at Kat, a fellow Ravenclaw, as she came up and complemented the girls on their voices and suggested they put on a concert. Judith had always enjoyed singing but had never done it in a formal setting for fear of making a fool of herself. At least when she did it informally she can say she knows she isn't good, but if she was in a talent show it would seem as though she thought herself professional and would be seen a fool. "Merry Christmas to you as well. No everybody but you can come listen to us later, you already had your turn." Judith said sarcastically when Kat asked to come back.
Judith approached the horse with Jasmine and gave it a quick rub before stepping back again to simply watch it. Jasmine was very good with horses, and Judith vaguely remembered being informed Jasmine had one of her own.
"Yes." Judith said simply when Kat said her name slightly uncertainly. "I would love a ride, we have the rest of the trip to stand here singing." Judith replied when Kat offered. She then looked down and blushed slightly when Kat complemented them once again. She hoped that they would mistake the pink on her cheeks as being from the cold as she stepped into the sleigh. As soon as she stepped on she looked around; the view had been quite lovely from down on the ground, but now out of the snow it was even better. She could see the other student's snowball fight much more clearly and noted that the side on the right was winning. As she scanned the horizon she saw the sun had fallen further and the colours had gotten brighter. She looked up in awe at the streak of pink that separated the orange and purple in the sky above the mountains. 'Picture perfect' she thought wishing she had a camera. Remember that she was standing in the sleigh she then sat down and looked at the others to ask if they were coming as well.

Kat smirked at Judith somewhat ironical comment – Kat had a sharp tongue herself and she love a good verbal sparring from time to time. Kept the mind sharp.
Kat watched as Judith sat into the sleigh and reached under the drivers seat, bring out four of five thick blankets, ment to be put over one’s legs, so the traveler wouldn’t freeze. The blankets were charmed to keep warm at all times, so Kat leaned back and placed them on the wide seat with it’s back towards the direction the sleigh was going, before pulling herself I sitting position again.
“The blankets are charmed to keep warm – there isn’t much point in freezing, right?” Kat said with a smile pulling out a thermos filled with hot chocolate, that her old trainer had given her to take along and placed it next to the blankets.
