Judith finally finished unpacking everything she had brought with her. She had been slowly taking everything out as she used it; she didn’t feel like putting out the effort of unpacking all at once. When her last shirt was folded and placed in the drawer she decided to go out and get something to eat. She walked down to the entrance hall and asked the attendant where she could get some food. She was then informed that they were not serving any meals at this time, but if she went down to the kitchens they could make her something. Judith smiled and thanked the woman after getting direction and headed off.
She began humming softly to herself as she walked through the empty halls. All of a sudden though she got the feeling that she was not the only one around. She looked down an intersecting hallway and saw a Jasmine, a fellow fifth year Ravenclaw. “Hello.” Judith said smiling warmly to the girl. “What are you up to?”
Jasmine sat on the bench singing to herself lightly it was going to be a song for someone she liked and she wondered if he might like her back. Even know she was a year younger than him they both shared allot of interest. They both loved potions and quidditch and they could talk about that for a long time. As Jasmine sang to herself she felt sick to her stomach what if he didnt like the song? what if he didnt like her voice? what if she messed up? Jasmine took a deep breathe and took out her note book to edit it some more.
Her brown hair was in her face and she pulled it away and heard some one say hi to her. Jasmine looked up and smiled at the girl. Jasmine had seen her around at times but she didnt know her name. "Hello I am just singing and writing a song what are you up too and may I ask for you name?" Jasmine asked the girl with a chery smile.

“I’m Judith. I was just headed down to the kitchens to get some food; unpacking really does it to you. You know? You’re a really good singer by the way. I kind of overheard you as I was walking along. So you wrote that yourself? What’s it about? If you don’t mind my asking.” Judith threw in that last bit quite quickly hoping Jasmine wouldn’t find her too intrusive.
Judy was just a curious person; she couldn’t help it. She had always been taught to be completely aware of what was going on around her; a skill she would need if she truly intended to go into politics. And so this need to know had spread to every aspect of her, or more like everybody else’s lives.
Judy then took a seat next to Jasmine; food could wait awhile, she was in a social mood. Judith then rested her head back on the wall and closed her eyes.

Jasmine was flartured that the girl said she had a good voice. She felt chery and aking to sing out. But she sat where she was looking up at the girl still smiling her chery Christmas smile. "Thank you by the way my names Jasmine Anderson." Jasmine said looking at her note book and sighing. As Judy asked her about the song she was writing and what it might be about. "Well its a love song for some one I like and I was going to sing it to him." Jasmine said smiling and she couldnt hold back her aking to sing out.
"Oh holly night The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!
Fall on your knees Oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine Oh night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night divine" Jasmine said not leting her voice die. She loved the holidays and going home and charoling with the near by children and her friends. "Sorry I really wonted to sing that song because I miss caroling so much...... do you like to sing?" Jasmine asked the girl still smiling.

Judy was intrigued when Jasmine mentioned it was for a guy she liked. “Wow, that takes a lot of nerve; to sing to him. Personally, I don’t even like people being able to associate my writing with me, never mind hear me sing it. Although from the snippet I heard it was wonderful. I’m sure he will love it.”
Jasmine then began to sing ‘O Holy Night’, one of Judy’s favourite Christmas carols. All of a sudden Judy felt she was back at home, at midnight mass with her family. Judy loved midnight mass. Judy had been enjoying mass for several years now but midnight mass was always her favourite. Judy began to sing along with Jasmine and euphoria swept over her. When the song ended Judy came to and all of a sudden felt upset she was going to miss midnight mass this year.
“Oh please, don’t be sorry. I loved it and I was reminded of midnight mass with my family. It was wonderful. Yes actually, I do enjoy singing. I don’t know how good I am at it, but I have always found it calming. You know if you miss carolling so much, and I miss the carols as well; maybe the two of us should go out carolling. Heck we may even find a bunch of other people who want to join us and almost make like a choir.” Judith said, feeling much better now she was in the here and now.

Jasmine smiled brightly at Judith as she said that it reminded her of mass. She had also been in mass and sing in the choir, it was like Lena wonted her to become a singer than a witch. It was ture Lena did wont her to become a singer than a witch but she never had the courage to say it in Jasmine face. Her life has been pretty hard on her just the last four years were hard. Lena never approved of her being a witch and she blocked her out of her life. Jasmine than was left alone and almost went through a depression but her studies kept her spirits up and her best friend Kelsey Maddison. Kelsey was a fifth year Hufflepuff who they both went to the same Orphanage and became the best of friends.
Jasmine smiled at the girl and thought it was a good idea for the both of them to go caroling. Just then she felt her stomach rumple and she looked up at Judith and put her hands on her stoamch. "But first lets go to the kitchens my stomach isant going to sing well on an empty stomach." Jasmine said standing up and waiting for Judith to lead the way.

Judith was ecstatic that she had found someone to carol with. As Jasmine mentioned eating Judith remembered her initial reason for coming down there. “Right, food. Well the attendant said the kitchens are just down that hall there.” Judy said, pointing down the corridor she had originally been coming down.
The girls walked down the hall chitchatting until they reached a portrait of a man in a muggle chef outfit. Judith stopped, turned to him and nervously said “Umm excuse me… the attendant at the front desk told me to ask you if we could enter the kitchens to get a snack.”
The man in the picture then smiled “Sure,” her said kindly “but just mind you don’t get in anybody’s way.” The picture then swung open.
Judith then stepped into the kitchen and looked around in awe. It was very much like the Hogwarts kitchen with all the houseelves scurrying around; but larger and with more elves.

Jasmine smiled at Jusith and put her book back in her shoulder bag and stood up and waited for her to lead the way. She walked next to her new friend as they walked through the castle. Jasmine mind wasnt working at the momment she kept thinking about the Quidditch game against Slytherin and Ravenclaw. She and Judith both made the reserve team and Jasmine wondered if she will play. It was a 50/50 chance but she was sure Catalina would bring them into the game.
As they came up to the portait Jasmine was a little confused. The kitchens back at Hogwarts you had to tickle the pear But how would w poratit let them in without a password. Jasmine stood her place turning her head to right slightly and smiled as Judith asked the man that lay int he portiat if they could enter. It swang open and Jasmine steeped inside and looked around her.
The kitchen at the Weining Zug castle was quite differnt. It was larger and more house elfs runing around trying to get the food ready. But the house elfs were wearing uniforms than the ones in Hogwarts. Jasmine felt a little sorry for them but she knew that they loved their work. She didnt know why Herminoe made S.P.E.W up the house elfs look content in their sroundings.
Jasmine smiled and noticed that an house elf came up to them carrying a tray of cookies and hot chocolate. She smiled warmily at the elf, "Is two mis wanting some 'ot choclate and cookies." the house elf asked them holding up the tray to their faces. Jasmine smiled and waited for Juidith reaction before taking anything.

Judith snapped out of her trance as a house elf came over and offered the two some hot chocolate and cookies. “Of that sounds lovely. Yes please.” Judith said knowing that if Jasmine wanted anything else she could just ask. Judith then took the tray from the elf so that she could go back to the work she was glancing over at longingly. She carried it over to a nearby small table off in the corner. Judith then sat down and looked around at all the elves bustling around preparing for tonight’s dinner.
Judith then remembered her manners and turned to Jasmine. “Congratulations on making the quidditch team.” She said with a smile. “So do we go to the regular practices now? I would assume so eh?” She continued, hoping to start a conversation.

Jasmine watches as Judith took the plate the house elf was holding up to their faces. She smield as she watches the elf trot off and go back to work. Jasmine than walked over towards the table and sat down as well. She crossed her legs and put her hands on her lap and laughed softly as she noticed what she was doing. She than took the mug off the plate and put it infront of her.
As the stream rose into the air she waited for it to cool off. Jasmine than noticed Judith conguradulated her on making the team. "Thank you and you also made it as well. Yes I do assume we go to the practices and we have to watch out in the Slytherin game its gonna be burteal." Jasmine said with a nodd as she remembered going to the Gryffindor and Slytherin game. There were buldgers going all over the place and people geting hit over and over again.

“Yes, it’s not going to be pleasant. It is a good thing Madam Pomfrey can mend most anything. I have always loved Quidditch though. I prefer chaser, but I suppose even if we do play we would play whatever they need us for. But what are the chances we are going to be needed? Especially with the other reserve players. So I think our bones are safe; for now.” Judith said.
“So the song you were writing before; does he know you like him already? Or is this how you are going to tell him?”
Jasmine looked at Juidith very interested in the converation they were talking about. It was ture but she knew Catalina would let them play to get everybody a fair share of the game. Jasmine smiled and pulled back her dark brown hair that was geting in her face. "Yes I prefer Keeper and Seeker those postions are my best that is ture Cat will make us play what she thinks is right." Jasmine said looking at her hot chocolate as it was cooled off. She picked up the warm mug and took a sip enjoying the warmth of the drink.
Jasmine than continued to look around the room for something that could stand out. She smiled at the cutrtains and the moon shinning through. It was a beautiful sight to watch. Jasmine than took out her sketch book from her Ravenclaw shoulder bag and started to sketch the outline of the corner. She gave it value by shading in the of the lines and making shadows. As she her hand went across the paper she than notice Judith ask her about the song she was writing. Jasmine blushed and continued to drawl. "No at least I dont think he knows that I like him yet." Jasmine said glancing up at the corner and geting more detail into her artwork.

“Well you are multi-talented aren’t you? I have always had a great appreciation for those who could write. I have never been very good at writing but with the amount that I read I love good writing.”
“I’m not saying that she wont make an effort to put us in our preferred positions, I’m saying if a chaser is sick one of us would have to play chaser and it doesn’t matter if you like keeper better because they already have one you know?”
“Gosh I hate that feeling though, when you don’t know if they know if they know you like them, never mind if they like you back.” Judith babbled before taking a sip of her hot chocolate. I tasted heavenly.

Jasmine hand glided acorss her sketch book as she captured the picture of the drapes and the moon glow. She smiled and pulled her hair out of the way again. As she finshed she signed her name and date and put her sketch book back in her bag. Jasmine smiled and crossed her legs again and took another sip of her hot chocolate.
"Yes I never tired to play chaser its seems interesting and the beaters normaly go after you guys." Jasmine said with a smile and took another sip of her hot chocolate. She loved hot chocolate and how it could make anyone warm and feel happy. She than smiled again and started to hum to herself lightly her favoirte song in the world. She couldnt wait until the quiditch game started again.

Judith took out a book and read while she ate. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Jasmine finish her drawing. “Yes, well I just cant wait for the game, see what happens and such. It will be quite interesting. Thankfully I don’t find Slytherin is as vicious towards Ravenclaw as they are to Gryffindor. That game was brutal just to watch don’t you think? I can’t imagine the pain the players were in. Its funny how a rivalry from the founding fathers is still in place today.” Judith said without taking her eyes off her book.
As Judith finished the last little bit of her hot chocolate she looked up and smiled at Jasmine. “Would you like to go carolling when you finish? Or would you rather wait for another day?”
"I agree the game against Gryffindor and Slytherin was burteal but Gryffindor ended up victiorous. But I am sure Karmon and Jaquin will do a great job defending us." Jasmine siad with a smile and noticed the book Judith was reading. Jasmine too loved to read it was her Ravenclaw nature. Jasmine smiled warmily and thought about the game again. It was quite interesting and was fun to watch.
As Jasmine was pulled out of her thoughts she took a sip of her hot chocolate and finshed it. She smiled and wiped her mouth and looked up at Judith, "Caroling tonight sounds fun are you ready?" Jasmine asked with a bright smile and her eyes twinkled with delight.

“Yes, I think we have a strong team this year. Carolling tonight sounds great, do you know anyone else who would be interested that we can invite? ((OOC Do you want to start a new thread for this or change the name of this so others can join or do you just want it to be us in this one?)) What type of carols are your favourites? I honestly prefer the type from church like ‘O Holy Night’ but I don’t know them that well. So what we sing is up to you.” Judith said smiling widely, excited to go carolling.

((OOC- I think we can keep it here and just change the name unless you wont to make anew thread its also your choce.))
Jasmine looked at Judith and smiled brightly, "Great! maybe other people could join us may be not." Jasmine said standing up from her stoll and taking a last glance around the room. This was a nice experience for her and it wasnt that scary as when she went into a secery passage. Jasmine pushed back her brown hair and looked at Judith again, "I personaly like all the carols but we can sing O Holly Night its a good carol that everyone will enjoy." Jasmine siad waiting for Judith to follow her outside so they could carol.

((OOC ok I’ll change the name in the beginning and this is where we can start carolling))
Judith stood up after Jasmine and walked out of the kitchen. As they walked down the hallways the girls began to chitchat about this and that, nothing important. Judith then threw her winter cloak around her shoulders. She then stepped out into the lightly falling snow. She stood there with Jasmine in the snow and began.
“Oh holly night The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Jasmine walked next to her friend as they went down the hallways. She felt very excited and her stomach felt like they had butterflies floating around. She smiled and pulled on her long black coat and pulled on her Ravenclaw hat and scarf. Jasmine serached her pockets to find her gloves but she couldnt find them. "Owe" Jasmine said in her mind and sighed. T
They walked out the wodden oak doors and Jasmine listen to Judith sing first. Jasmine thought Judith had a great voice and should sing more often. Jasmine waited patiently as Judith finshed. She smiled warmily at her and took a deep breathe from her gut and sang out.
"O holy night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when Christ was born; O night, O holy night, O night divine! O night, O holy night, O night divine!" Jasmine sang out and smiled at Judith as if to say she was having tons of fun.
