He had been looking forward to the holiday for some time. It seemed that since the Halloween Ball he had hardly managed to see Syd at all, only a few smiled during classes and a few fleeting moments in between. He was normally content to spend his time on solitary observance, but since he had met Syd, his attention to the social behavior of those around him had not held its same spark. It was still his primary educational focus, but he was starting to develop other interests.
It was only a few days prior that Syd had told him she would be going on the trip as well, which delighted him extremely. While he was planning on spending a considerable amount of time observing students in a setting other than Hogwarts, he planned to spend some time with her as well.
They had not been in the castle long, thought he had managed to finished his unpacking and was now heading down the halls, stopping at the end and the stairs before settling down on the floor. It was a rather perfect spot to watch the passer-bys, as he could get glimpses of both floors, providing information for his social studies until he spotted Syd.

Sydney was in her room unpacking her belongings. She was humming a joyous tune as she closed the closet door. Walking over to the vanity she brushed her shoulder lenght red hair. It was down for once and she actually liked it. With a smile, Syd walked over to the hanger by the door and grabbed her marron cloak. Slipping her arms into the sleeves, she open the door and began to walk towards the stairs.
It was the Holidays, no classes! Syd flashed a smile as that thought rang though her head. She was good in her classes but she never adored them. Turning the corner in the extravigent castle she began down the stairs to the first floor.
People walked around busy with their own things as Sydney casually walked thought the crowds. A massive tree was planted in the lobby area. Sydney had no intention of doing anything- she just wanted to look around the castle, maybe meet up with friends if they found her- or visa virsa. Walking to the base of the tree, she looked up as she began to admire ever decoration which was set in perfect place on the evergreen.

He had been writing something down when she passed, a boy and girl had walked by only moments earlier and their behavior was to intriguing not to recording his findings. By the time he looked up again and glanced around, he saw a girl near the bottom of the stairs that held a remarkable similarity to Syd…but her hair was different, and he wasn’t sure. After pausing for a moment, he rose to his feet in order to move down the stairs and get a closer look, thinking as he did what an interesting study he would be himself, demonstrating behavior such as this.
After making his way down the stairs he saw the girl near the tree, and after walking around the other direction a bit, he caught a glimpse of her face and a smile broke out as he moved even closer.
“Hi Syd.”

The tree looked glorious. Touching a branch it seemed as if real snow was settled on its branches. It melted as her fingers touched it. Syd smiled as she loved the wonders of magic. Walking a few more stepps around the massive tree, Sydney heard her name. Quickly turning her head she saw it was Kamron. The boy she had grown a liking for the past few months.
The havent talked much since the ball, in between classes, a few smiles here and there- but no conversation let alone a greeting. Running towards him, she smiled. "Kam! Hey!" she gave him a hug for a greeting. Her long red hair brushed over her shoulders as she let go with a smile.
"Finally, we both actually have free time to spend together." she said with a grin as she clasped her hands together.

Her greeting was even more than he expected, and he returned it gladly. He had been worried that due to the limited time they had been able to spend together sinc eht ball, they might have grown too distant. A few scattered smiles were enough to keep his intrest, and words could not describe how happy he was to see that it maintained hers as well.
"I know. I thas been so hard since the Ball. I don't think we have managed to say more than two words to one another."
He was still smiling, shifting is weight slightly as he watched her. It was amazing that he could like a girl so much whenhe had never been able to spend much time with her.

Listening to Kam, she nodded in agreement. "Very true." she said with a slight frown. It was hard to still like a boy you hardly saw let alone hardly spoke to. But she knew that he wasnt the type of guy to go onto another girl and forget all about her. As much as she knew he could like someone- but still good friends with her.
"So, what do you have planned for today, Kam?" she said as she had nothing. She just left her room in search of something. "Mind doing something together?" she said as she waited for a reply.
As they stood at the base of the evergreen, A crowd from the other side- observing the lovely structure and design walked nearly into Sydney. "Excuse me.", "Sorry." , "Pardon me." a few people said as they bumped into her and Kam. "No problem,.. Its alright,... Mmmmhm." She said right after another as she caugh herself from falling over. Glaning at Kam- she couldnt help but laugh. "Oh well." she said with a grin as she grabbed his hand. "Lets go over here somewhere, away from the crowd- so we dont get trampled anymore." she said jokingly loud so maybe one of the people who bumped her and him.
Walking off, towards the whole other side of the lobby area. There was a gigantic fireplace. Much larger than the one in each houses' Common Room. It was decorated with tree branches and ribbon. It was decodent. A few chairs sat around the fireplace, as a little conversation area. Sitting down On a classic cherry red sofa, she let go of Kamron's hand, and let him decide if he wanted to sit next to her or on a chair.
Speaking up she said, "So, do you have any Idea with something to do here? All I know is that there is skiing- I never skiied so... im not really going to try that. I mean, You could break you leg doing that!" Syd said with a widdening of her eyes. "Snowboarding looks fun though. Although I never tried that either." She said with a grin.

He was just opening his mout to reply then whe crowd started to push by and he fell silent watching the others push him further away from Syd as people seemed to keep coming and coming. It was enough to almost make him laugh, and once it was safe to step forward again and be closer to Syd he did, agreeing to her sugestion to find someplace away from the crowds to sit so they could talk.
The made their way to a couch, one so perfectly placed in the well decorated rom it made him feel as if it was part of a Christmas card. Syd was the first to sit down o the couch, and he followed after, making himself comfortable besie her as she meantioned skiiing.
"You haven't been skiing before? I was sure that I was the only one. I to think it sounds rather enjoyable, as does Skiboarding, but I am rather sure I will make a food of myself." He paused for a moment to smile at her. "Maybe we can try it later though...just you and me. And there is the villiage. I need to go shopping to get something to send back to my parents."

Her mouth, ever so delicate smiled at him after he spoke. "Of course. That sounds like a grand idea. Im up to something new. And it will be fun since both of us never tried it before." She laughed slightly as she turned her head and looked at the fireplace.
"Im glad we are at the Enchanted Castle. im not sure how I would cope if I had to only restrain my powers in my room." Sydney said as she pulled out her wand. "Hot Chocolate?" she asked as she flicked her rosewood wand, as two blue mugs appeared on a tray. Grabbing one for herself she began to sip it. "Be Careful, its quite hot." she said warning Kam.

He grinned in response to her Hot Chocolate question and reached out to take his own mug and holding it in his hands to let it cool.
"Thanks. So, how about we try to hit the slopes this afternoon, and then maybe go to the villiage for some butterbeer and we can see what they have for shops?"
He knew that would make a rather full day, especially if they sat here to catch up for a while first, but he felt as if he had such limited time with her over the past few months, he needed to take advantage of every moment he could get now.

Blowing lightly on her hot chocolate, she helped it along in the cooling process. Sipping her drink she listened to him. Nodding she agreed, "Surely. Seems like a plan." she said in her normal joyous tone.
Setting her mug down. Sitting back up her hair was in her face. Looking at Kamron, through the hair strands she smiled. With a giggle she blew the hair up as it feel back down into her face. "Adorable isnt it!?" she said laughing as she pushed the strands out of her face with her hand. "Im not used to this, you know." she said as she shook her head. Trying to put her hair in some place which felt comfortable she ran her hands through her hair.
Speaking up she said, "So anything new with you Kamron? Anything Exciting happen?" she asked as she gave up on her hair.

He grinned as she blew her hair away from her face. It was different, but he did like it. It seemed so....girlie, for lack of a better term.
"Very adorable. Though I will admit I wasn't sure it was really you at first."
He was still smiling when she asked him if anything had happened in his life. He paused for a moment to think.
"Did you watch the quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff? I actually played beater in the game. I'm just a reserve, but one of the normal beaters couldn't play, so I got to!"

Sydney grinned as Kamron made a cute comment about her. She blushed slightly, although it was hidden under her long hair.
"The quidditch match. Yes I did." Sydney said as she thought in the back of her head 'Of course, why would I miss watching you?'
"You did well! I was excited when I saw you out there." she said with a nodd. Sydney turned her head as she saw a few young kids, under the age of 7 run though the doors. They were laughing and giggling. A cold breeze flew over Sydney and Kamron. Sydney grined as she had a slight twinkle in her eye. -- she had an idea
Quickly jumping from her seat she grabbed Kamron's hand again. "Come with me!" she exclaimed as she Pulled kamron thought the doors.
Stepping out onto the outside sidewalk it was snowing. Although it was freezing Sydney smiled still holding Kamron's hand. "Fun, isnt it!" she exclaimed more than asked. She took his other hand and begain to swing him around- as well as her own self. Snow settled in her own hair- and his. Sydney stopped walking in circles as she reached over to his blonde hair and shook his hair. "You have alot of snow! Haha" she giggled. Sydney was 15 but she had the heart of a child and could make the most out of any situation she was put in.

He grinned at her comment about the quidditch game and how she wouldn't miss it because he was playing. It meant a lot to him that she would be there to watch him play.
It was only moments later that he reconized a distantly familiar gleam in her eyes thoug he had little time to react as the next thing he knew he was being dragged out the door behind Sydney.
"Very fun" he commented, glancing over at her and smiling as he gave her had a gentle squeeze. Of course the moment of peace lasted only a moment, and Syd was displaying her ever present playful happiness. It was that trait that was perhaps his favorite thing about her. He tended to approch things so seriously, and so ready to analyze the situation, and she approched things ready to ahve fun and do whatever struck her.
He laughed as she rushed the snow out of his hair, and then turned around to do the same to her, only he knocked the snow forward so it left a little clump gathered on the end of her nose.

Sydney smiled as Kam returned the favor on her. Noticing a little bit of snow on her nose, she scrunched her nose to make a funny face. Laughing out loud, Sydney shook her head as the snow fell off.
"I always loved the snow. I mean, after awhile of course you get cold and sore, but I love how it looks! Its like one of those old pictures I used to see at my gram's house. A nice cottage in the woods covered in snow. The trees were washed in white. It was like a winter fantasy!" Sydney went on and on out her childhood memories as she looked at kamron. She didnt want to bore him so she said aside, "Lets go back inside, Im beginning to shiver." she smiled as she walked towards the doors.
