( I had to modify my first post since I was involved with the Death Eater attack in the Student Lounge. I'm sorry if this has cause any trouble.)
The day had started out normal enough. Well, not incredibly normal, Cassie had decided to skip DADA by feigning a headache. Soon after in the Student Lounge, she was attacked with the cruciatus curse by a death eater. After leaving the lounge with the back of her head matted in blood, Cassandra decided it was time to see if there was anybody with news. Walking by the peaceful scene in the courtyard, she smiled as she watched several younger Gryffindors fly a kite. The kite dipped and rolled in the air majestically, and entranced she began to watch.
Hearing a very large commotion from behind, she saw Dawn, Catalina, and a Hufflepuff Prefect she didn't know burst through the entranceway. The all announced rather loudly that all students were to report to their common rooms immediately. Detecting a bit of alarm, Cass packed up her stuff and did as she told. As she left, she motioned to several first year Gryffindor's to follow her. They all seemed very reluctant to follow the directions of the older students.
Heading through the hallways, she informed several students that hadn't heard the news. She really didn't want to believe the rumors she had been hearing. People were saying that a troll was loose to Harry Potter had been killed when a rogue Boggart suddenly turned into a Dementor. She looked down at one of the first years she was leading, and noticed that one of them was crying. Not really wanting to give any sympathy at the moment, Cass trudged on through the crowds that shuffled through the hallways. Looking over her shoulder, she swore that she saw Professor Trelawney descend from the staircase that led to her tower top classroom.
Finally arriving at the The Fat Lady, she spoke the password. " Hollow," the picture swung open as The Fat Lady continued to talk, trying to get any information out of Cassandra. As soon as she walked in the door, she was bombarded with dozens with questions. It seemed like every first and second year had corralled in the common room, looking for an older student to give them some direction. " What's happening, Cass?" " Where is Harry?" " Is Dumbledore really dead?" " Are there really Death Eaters?" " Where's Nasser?" They were all really scared, and so was Cassandra.
" Quiet! Quiet! Please settle down!" The younger students began to simmer down to listen to Cassie. " I'm not sure what is going on, but I'm pretty sure someone will be up here soon to tell us. I'm sure Harry's fine, and so is Dumbledore, and I don't know where Nasser is. Probably doing...important...Prefect..things." Cass bit her lip, hoping that they didn't notice the uncertainty in her voice.

Liam had been in the Great Hall reading a letter his grandfather had sent him instead of going to his DADA class. He hadn't even noticed it was time for the class to begin, he was busy reading and rereading the letter very carefully. His grandfather had told him that things were getting rather bad in the wizarding community and that Liam was to stay indoors because he had rumors that something was going to happen at the school. But that was not what worried Liam. What worried him was that there was blood splatters on the piece of parchment and that the last few lines were not in his grandfathers writing, they were that of his aunts.
She had added that his grandfather had become very ill and that he had to be taken to St. Mungo's and that the healer's did not know what was wrong with him.
Soon Liam's mind was taken away from the letter by the screaming of students in the entrance hall. Liam grabbed his bag and ran to the doorway, where he saw students running towards their common rooms. Liam grabbed hold of his wand and started up the stairs toward the Gryffindor common room.
As Liam reached the Fat Lady's portrait he saw several other Gryffindors were already there entering the common room. Liam got in line behind the last of the younger Gryffindor students and turned around to make sure that nobody was behind them. As soon as the last first year had entered, Liam stepped through into the common room and made sure the portrait hole closed behind him.
Liam turned around and saw that there were many first years asking another third year what was happening. Liam tried to listen, but was distracted by the noice coming from outside the Fat Lady's portrait. Finally, Liam said, "Look, first years, you need to remember that Professor Dumbledor is probably the most powerful wizard alive today, you just need to stay calm. When there is more news or when it is safe, I'm sure somebody will come and let us know. Until then, you should head to your dorms and stay together, okay."
Liam turned to the third year girl, and said, "Don't worry, everthing will work itself out. Could you take the girls up to the girls dorms? I'll take the boys, then we can meet back here after we've seen to their safety and wait for any new information."

Rosaliz walked outside with a kite hopefully some of the other first years would be generous to letting her play with them. She looked around, the grass damp; the sun was hiding behind the clouds, with a windy breeze. She spotted a third year of her own house reading a book. She wished to go to join her but she didn’t want to bother. Rosaliz walked up to her fellow first years and ask if they wanted to fly her kite together. They were very delighted to. Rosaliz had much fun when the wind plunged and dipped the kite, she laughed with excitement, they kept doing this for about an hour until, Rosaliz was interrupted from a lot of commotion wondering what was happening. At first she thought it was a thunderstorm coming, she didn’t mind because she loved the rain. Then she noticed it wasn’t the weather when she heard two hufflepuff girls yelling to enter the building. She fallowed the direction right away dropping her kite on ground. Fallowing everybody else into the castle. Rosaliz entered the common room asking the third year girl many questions, always wanting to expand her knowledge. Then another boy interrupted saying "Look, first years, you need to remember that Professor Dumbledore is probably the most powerful wizard alive today, you just need to stay calm. When there is more news or when it is safe, I'm sure somebody will come and let us know. Until then, you should head to your dorms and stay together, okay.” Rosaliz was delighted to how the boy made things feel all right. Rosaliz went up to her dorm room. She was quite tired from playing outside, but didn’t felt like falling asleep until she found out what was going on. She noticed the room was filled with chatter. She was longing to talk to somebody but was just too tired. She walked to her bed trying to stay conscious waiting for some news. She layed down on her bed just to close her eyes for a few minutes. But she fell into a deep sleep hearing the chattering disappear from her mind. Rosaliz woke-up to the sunrays shining on her face from the window. She sat-up noticing that nobody was there. She went back to the common room. All of the Gryffindor separated by their grade differences talking to each other. Rosaliz sat in a corner all by herself since she hadn’t made any friends yet; not knowing what was going to happen next.

Robin was feeling rather affronted that he had gone down so easily. He would've thought he'd have done much better in a situation like this but tripping over that student had made him an easy prey for Goyle Sr. He had a headache and his nose was bleeding but he had managed to stem the flow. He entered the common room in a bit of a huff and rather inclined to go up to the dorms and talk to no-one. He was annoyed by the loud chatter of everyone but then he stopped himself from saying something cutting when he saw how rattled everyone was. He headed to a group of third years, one of them Cassandra Logton who was with him on the Quidditch team. "Where were you?" he asked, remembering he had not seen her in class. "Actually that's not important, good thing you're fine. Know anyone missing?" he asked, his eyes beginning to look around in case any of his friends weren't around.

Nasser had insisted on taking Dana to see Madam Pomfrey and as a result was a little late in arriving to the common room. He walked into the Gryffindor common room and was met with chaos. He groaned inwardly and whispered to himself "I am a Gryffindor and I am a prefect", then headed over to his fellow housemates and started taking charge of the situation. The Stunning Charm had left him with nothing except a bruise on his shoulder where he had hit the ground and Madam Pomfrey had dealt with it in a second. He knew he had to get to the common room before everyone started panicking and so he left immediately after she had taken Dana into her care.
"Sit down everyone!" he said calmly but firmly. "First, second and third years come over here by the fire," he said and then pointed at the wood in the fireplace with his wand and said "Incendio!" Nasser was sweating and he knew it was too late in the year for a fire but the youngsters were shivering noticeably. "Everything is going to be all right, there are professors down there including Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall," he said in what he hoped was a reassuring voice. He wiped at his forehead with his sleeve and then went to a cupboard at the back of the room and got out some bars of chocolate. "Here," he said, offering it to Cassandra Logton who he knew from Quidditch. "Share this between you guys, OK? I do not suppose I need to tell you how absolutely imperative it is that no-one wander anywhere tonight out of the Gryffindor common room and dorms," he said looking at everyone. Nasser had been in Gryffindor long enough to know how some of his housemates were sometimes inclined to throw caution to the wind and go investigating on their own, though anyone who had attended Defence today would probably not try and do anything like that. He couldn’t smile but tried not to show any of the confusion he was feeling in his expression and waited for the questions he knew were going to be fired at him as soon as he stopped talking.

After taking some of the younger students upstairs, she ran to her dorm and grabbed a piece of cloth from her sewing supplies. After cleaning the wound, she froze some ice by the nearby basin and wrapped the cloth around it. Placing it on her head, she walked down in the common room and joined the crowd that was beginning to gather. Relived to see Nasser and Robin, she knew she could relax.
Smiling at Robin, she gulped when he asked why she wasn't in class. " Well, I...um... didn't feel like going to class today. I was in the lounge when the Death Eaters tried to escape." Removing the ice pack she had on her head, she noticed that the pretty green fabric had a dark stain on it. Cass grimaced, More blood. Mentally accounting for everyone, " I don't think anyone is missing." Cass felt a bit dizzy, but she was determined to work through it.
Taking Nasser's direction, she placed the ice pack back on her wound and sat down on the carpet near the fire. She listed to Nasser speak as she leaned mercifully back against the wall behind her. Taking the chocolate bars from Nasser, she began to distribute them among the younger years. Giving the one away she meant for herself to a crying first year, she was the first to start to aske question. " Um, Nasser, I think we are all thinking this, but is Harry okay?" After searching the room, she noticed that he wasn't there.
