Crack, crinkle and pop were the only noises that kept Ginny company as the embers in the fireplace began to fade out. The once roaring fire was now taking its last breaths of life. Removing her wand from her pocket she pointed it in the direction of the fireplace. “Incendio!” she called and sent a red beam into the fireplace which caused a large fireball to burn brightly, thus providing Ginny with enough light to continue her work. The bright light was also enough to show the clock on the wall which had been shrouded in darkness the last few hours. It now read a disheartening 1:37 in the morning. It had been a few hours since the last person left the common room, leaving Ginny alone to toil over Charms, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration homework. Seven feet of essays Ginny had been able to write up so far this evening, yet another four feet needed to be written. Perhaps worst of all was the fact that it was barely October, and from what everyone said the OWLS homework only got worse as the year went on.
Stretching her arms and legs out, Ginny shook her wrist and fingers feverishly trying to force some life back into them so that she could continue on with her task at hand. The slow ticking of the clock kept pace for her, she needed to have her fingers in motion writing a word every time the clock would tick or tock, it was that simple. “Keep going, you can’t stop now, just a little longer, you’ve already done seven feet you can’t quit now…” Ginny kept repeating to herself as she rubbed her bloodshot eyes in an effort to will herself on. Despite her self-motivation attempts, Ginny soon found her energy level was at zero. Her eyes began to droop as she strained to continue to write the benefits of a lightening potion over a lightening charm. In quick time Ginny found her head resting on her hand while she tried to force her fingers to keep writing yet her fingers were now refusing her commands. Tiny little movements were all she could muster as soon her quill itself fell from her fingers. “Rest for a few minutes” she told herself as she let her head fall to her Charms book and rest there upon her arms, in a matter of seconds she was fast asleep. Yet sleep was not to be had tonight as only a few minutes after her slumber had began, she felt herself being roused by someone shaking her arm.

It was Late at night as Harry layed lifeless in his bed wrapped up in maroon and gold blankets. A Look of distress appeared on his face, but no one, not even Harry noticed it. A whine excaped his mouth as his eyes tensed. Harry's scar begain to burn as he rolled to his stomach to cover up the burning wound on his forehead. Falling into an even deeper sleep Harry begain to dream.
In his dream there was Ginny in a dimly lit room all alone. She looked terrified as she had her knees close to her chest. By looking at her face you see she had been crying immensely. It looked like she noticed Harry was there as she screamed out. "D.A! D.A!" That was the only thing she could say, the letters D. A. Harry was completely confused and flushed with feeling as he kept on encouraging Ginny to speak more. "D.A? What Does it Mean! Ginny, What does it mean!" he encouraged her back as he began to get aggravated. Suddenly the dream turned completely black as flash of light in his dream woke him up.
Jumping up from his sitting position in bed Harry fell under a cold sweat as he tryed to pase his breathing. Leaning over to his side table Harry got his glasses and put them on. The room was dark, but he could make out the faces of all the other sixth year boys sleeping. Throwing his covers aside Harry stepped out of bed as he began to walk towards the door as he thought in his head, 'I need to talk to Ginny.' Harry knew he wasnt allowed to walk into the girl's dorm but this was urgent. He would have to get her to come to the common room some how.
Walking down the stairs into the vast common room, Harry rubbed the back of his head as he first noticed the fire burning brightly. Walking into the room he noticed Ginny at a table doing her work. Glad that she was in the common room, but completely mystified by what his dream ment he rushed over to her, but quickly noticing she was asleep. Filled with emotion Harry pulled up a seat next to her and said, "Ginny, Ginny, Wake up." while shaking her arm slightly. His voice told of troubles in his close past but he tryed not to frighten so he tryed to talk as normal as he could.

“Ginny… Ginny….Ginny…” someone was calling to her pulling her back to reality from her pleasant slumber. Summoning all the energy she could, Ginny forced herself to open her eyes and sit up. Groggily sniffed and wiped her eyes to find Harry sitting next to her. “Whaaaa” Ginny said as she rolled her neck trying to wake up and get a better view of the clock. Though not fully awake she knew she had only been out for a short time as the fire was still burning brightly and there was still not a soul in the common room save for herself and now Harry. “Why are you up?” Ginny asked as she began to sift through her scrolls looking for her quill which with she would continue her arduous task that was her homework.

Ginny slowly awoke as Harry moved in his seat uncomfortably. A worried looked passed his face, as it was a look hardly seen on his face. Looking at Ginny he spoke, "Sorry to wake you, but I had a dream." he knew just saying dream made it seem a bit stupid so he added, "But it felt real. It might have been a vision." Harry paused as he rubbed the back of his neck and took a breath. Looking away from Ginny he begain to think about what the dream was about. Harry quickly spoke up and added, "It was about you. Only you were in the dream. You kept screaming D.A at me. Does that ring a bell at all?" he asked a bit odd asking Ginny all these questions and hounding her with information just as she had just woke up like Harry, But a much more comfortable awakening than his.
Taking a breath he waited a few seconds to let all the information sink into her before he went on. Soon after he started again. "It seemed like you were alone, and havent seen anyone in days. You were crying and it seemed like you have been' for a long time. It was a dark room and,..... I think you saw me and started yelling.. D.A at me...... I Yelled back to ask what it ment, but you couldnt answer it seemed." Harry exclaimed in distress as he slumped back into his seat as it seemed like he sat up closer to the table as he gave details. He was completly unsure about what his dream ment. He hoped Ginny would understand something in it, other than thinking it was just a dream. It was more than that! It was and Harry knew it, but didnt know how to tell Ginny that he knew it wasnt like any old dream, it was something.

Ginny looked at Harry quite astonished, she didn’t really expect to see someone up at this time of night. Certainly she didn’t expect it to be Harry telling her about a dream he had just experienced. She was in it too, and was saying da. “Da?” Ginny asked as she sat up and yawned. “What was I saying da for?” She asked and she closed her books and began to put them all back into her bag. “You say I was crying? What happened anyway? Do you think it was when I was in the Chamber of Secrets?” Ginny stuffed her books into her bag as she blankly looked at Harry, she didn’t remember much at all from the Chamber of Secrets, only waking up in time to see a dead basilisk and then having to fly up with Fawkes. “Could it maybe have been last year when were in the Ministry? I did hurt my foot pretty bad then you know.” Racking her brain trying to figure it out, Ginny got no answers quickly, she was too tired, too exhausted, where was Hermione? She might be better at figuring this sort of thing out. Though the idea of Ginny being in obvious pain and crying was not a comforting thought, especially after last year when Harry had foreseen her father being attacked by a large snake, then minutes later it actually did happen.
As that thought began to run through her mind more Ginny became quiet as she fastened the latches on her bag and pulled it close to her chest. As the dream began to sink in more her eyes slowly widened and she clutched her wand tightly. “Harry where was I? Really what did it look like…Err, you know I think you should tell Dumbledore… well we both should go you know since I’m there too.. err, should we go now? I mean I think it’s kind of important… Maybe you should go wake up Ron and I could go get Hermione..” Ginny then paused and fidgeted with her bag as she waited for Harry’s answer.

Harry calmed down his breathing as Ginny's eyes widdened and she spoke. She didnt seem intersested but she didnt seem like she would let the whole thing slide. "I dont know. No, it wasnt chamber of secrets it was a small room all black." Harry Explained as he tryed to think about where it could be. Harry looked at the table and lost himself in the patterns of the wood as the thought about what D.A could mean.
Harry listened As Ginny went on abotu Dumbledore. Looking up at her he looked at her with worry in his eyes but his face didnt show it. "Alright. That might be best. I'll get Ron. Get Hermione, Please." he said as he pushed his seat back and stood up. Putting his hand on Ginny's shoulder Harry walked away towards the boy's dorm and up stairs. Going all the way up the stairs towards the 6th year dorms Harry pushed the door open. A little bit of light filtered into the room as Harry walked in. Walking across the room he went to Ron's bunk as he shook his arm a bit. ' Ron, Ron..' He said as he tryed to wake him up. Finally after a little more nudging Ron finally awoke. "What do you want Harry?" He said still drowsy. "We need to go to Dumbledore. I had a dream." He said as he noticed Ron's eyes widden like Ginny's did earlier.
Ron sat up and got out of bed as he put on his shoes, Harry waited for him at the door. When Ron was finished, They walked down the the stairs together and into the Common Room. Waiting for Ginny and Hermione, Harry and Ron Stood by the port hole. A look of worry and a full mind of thought Harry stood looking at the floor gathering his thoughts.
