Molly was outside in the cold. It was snowing and she was getting wet. She felt numb so she decided it would be best to go back inside the castle. As she came in, warm air swept across her face at once and she was already starting to feel better. Molly climbed up the moving stairs and stpped at the portrait of the Fat Lady on the wall. "Paaaasswooord." the Fat Lady sang. Molly was not amused at all with her singing and was rather irritated with it. "Hollow, and just so you know you should really stop singing before you hurt yourself or bust somebody's eardrums."
Molly headed up the to the dorms and jumped onto her bed. She rested for a little while. When she got up she grabbed a quill, ink, and some parchment and went down into the common room and found a chair by the fire. She started to writ e another letter to her best friend Mary Connally. She was writing to tell her friend about what was currently happening in her life, she always liked to keep her best friend updated. As she scribbled down her memories on the tiny piece of parchment, she dipped her quill in the ink and wrote another paragraph and another and another. She wanted to tell Mary as much as she could. Once in a while she would look into the fire as if she was trying to remember something.

Liliane had been asleep in her dormintory. She had not been feeling to well recently and had had a cold for the past week or so. Waking up to the pouncing of her cat Midnight, she grumbled and sat up in her bed. She stared around the room noticing, as usual, no one was there. Sniffling and rubbing her hand under her nose to keep it from dripping gross ooze, she then reached her hand for a Kleenex which sat beside her bed. Blowing her nose as hard as she could she then threw the Kleenex on the floor, not caring about her mess. She felt completely drowsy, but felt as though human contact would do her good. Putting a Gryffindor sweatshirt, she walked over to a mirror to examine how horrible she had looked. Her face was extremely flushed and her hair was down and greasy looking. As for her eyes, they really heavy looking and quite watery.
Disgusted at her appearance, for she was one who wanted to always look her best, she quickly walked away from the mirror and headed slowly and carefully down the steps. Liliane felt that a place by the fire would be quite nice, as she felt a chill run through her.
Still with a slow and steady pace she made her way over to the fire, and noticed another person sitting there. She smiled and noticed that the girl was a 4th year, but she had not known her name. Hopping to meet a new friend, Liliane saw that she was writing, and hesitated a bit. She came to the conclusion however, that if the girl didn't want to be bothered, she would just sit there and collect her thoughts. Approaching the girl with one last sniff Liliane introduced herself. "hey there, my name is Liliane, mind if I join you?" Liliane usually would reach her hand out for a proper meeting, but she didn't want to threaten the girl with her sickness.

Molly looked up when she heard a voice that was apparently adressing her. It was a girl of about thirteen who had greeted her. "Hi Liliane my name is Molly and of course I don't mind, I was getting rather bored with writing anyway seeing as I don't like to write." Molly said cheerfully and haistily put down her letter under the chair.
Molly turned towards Liliane and smiled, she had seen her around before, infact Elizabeth had even mentioned her. "So, just get up?" Molly was referring to the fact that Liliane appeared to look really tired and seemed to have the same hairstyle Molly did when she got up in the mornings. "I hate mornings, don't you?" said Molly as she thought about getting up and getting ready and waiting for the day to be over so she could do the exact same thing again.
"I was outside all morning waiting for my friends who never showed up and now I'm wet and I'm cold." Molly said as she looked down at her dripping clothing. She squeezed some water out of her hair hoping that Liliane didn't think that she was grumpy all the time. This perticular morning she happened to be irritated with the weather, her friends, and the whole day itself. This was not the kind of first impression that she wanted to give people because usually she was bright, happy, and jumpy. "sorry, that I'm just rambling on about how horrible I feel and how mad I am at the world. How has your morning been?" asked Molly as she tried to dry herself by the fire.

Liliane joined Molly, as she said it was okay and immediately plunged into the chair next to Molly, closing her eyes a bit as the relaxation of the chair had hit her. Looking into the fire for a brief moment, Liliane smiled, and turned her attention to Molly who had asked if she had just got up, and said she had hated mornings. Liliane began to chuckle a bit at Molly's comment, for Liliane herself had seen how she had looked in the mirror. "Yeah, about a 10 or 15 minutes ago, I'm not exactly a morning person either. I am usually pretty cranky for the first 5 minutes of waking up." Sniffling again, Liliane pulled out a Kleenex from her pocket and began to blow her nose. "Sorry for my impoliteness, but I just can't help it." she said as she put her snotty Kleenex back into her pocket for later use.
Noticing restlessness coming from Molly, Molly then explained of her morning. "Eh,"Liliane said to Molly's talk of her morning, "Please feel free to complain all you want, I do just as much, if not more, and I keep it to myself, which everyone knows isn't good for ya'. As for my morning, well, it's not the greastest either, I've been waking up for the past week with stuffy noses and a horrible sore throat." Liliane said looking down at her hands for a moment. "But, hey, tomorrow is a new day." Liliane said proclaiming with a smile and thinking about how she has been saying it ever since she's gotten sick.
Liliane sat staring at the fire again, trying to ignore the silence which had now come between the two. Trying to think of something productive, Liliane spit out the first thing that came to mind, "You have a good break, Molly?" she said in hopes starting a good conversation.
