Cassandra didn't even bother to knock the mud of her boots as she walked into the common room after Quidditch. Collapsing into one of the overstuffed chairs that were a staple there, she pulled of her boots and let them drop to the floor. Looking over the shoulder of the chair as she heard a large clatter, she saw a couple of first years playing a game of wizard chest. It appeared that the white queen had just taken one the black knights. Settling back down, she just couldn't believe how bad practice had gone. After she nearly took a tumble of her broom, she watched as one of the reserves totally missed a goal. Harry had looked livid, but she had been as well.
Relaxing for a moment, a couple of her dorm mates had brought her several butterbeers and some jelly beans. She thanked them humbly as they headed out the common room door. Somebody soon came over and started a fire in the fireplace and she could feel the heat zap the soreness out of her feet. Hearing the portrait hole open, she turned to look at the new arrival.

Justin walked along the corridor, Firebolt over his right shoulder, and he was dripping mud and water on the floor. He moved his left shoulder around a bit, and groaned, it was painful. He had been hit by the one bludger that they practiced with, and his shoulder was now bruised, and he had thought that he had heard a crack. Stopping, and placing his broom on the floor, he placed his hand in his shirt, he felt around his shoulder, and felt a slight crack in the bone. He groaned, this was'nt going to make tonights sleep feel good. He rubbed the back of his head, picked his broom back up, and enetered the common room, giving the Fat Lady the password.
As he enetered, he saw Cass, and decided to sit opposite her, after he put his broomstick up. He quickly headed upstairs, and placed the Firebolt in his trunk, and headed back downstairs. He saw that Cass was still there, and he sat down in the chiar opposite her, placing his right hand on his left shoulder as he did, and he said in a tired voice, and he stammered a bit as his shoulder sent a wave of pain through him, " H-hey C-Cass, that was a fun practice, sorta. What do you think?"

“Rain, rain, go away, come again another day. The little girl wants to play. Rain, rain, go away.” Lenora sang happily as she flew to the ground after practice. She was soaked and chilled to the bone and practice had gone awfully but still she was cheerful. Lenora hadn’t done to horribly and was just glad to have finally had a chance to play with her new teammates. Nobody else seemed in high spirits though so Lenora simply rushed inside. She showered and changed into a comfortable pair of black pants with a red shirt; she was filled with Gryffindor pride. The game against Ravenclaw was coming soon and despite the dreadful practice Lenora was certain they would be able to win.
“Go, go, Gryffindor! Go, go Gryffindor!” She half sang, half screamed as she skipped down the stairs into the common room. Noticing Cassandra and Justin sitting together, still in their quidditch gear, she decided maybe she could talk to them now. They were out of the rain and didn’t seem to intend to change anyways. She did wonder why Justin wasn’t with Pomfrey though after having seen the hit he sustained down on the pitch. It was none of her business though so she simply smiled contentedly and plopped down into a chair nearby.
“Hello!” she said in a jovial tone to the pair. “Does practice usually go like that? Or was it just special because it was my first? Can’t wait for the game you know. How exhilarating it must be to have so many people watching you but not know what's coming next. Must feel like when you are doing improv on stage eh? I always preferred classical pieces myself or even just regular plays but improv is fun for getting the creative juices flowing. Not that Quidditch is the epitome of creativity or anything but I suppose it does have an aspect. It’s the only sport I can play you know and I don't even know how good I am. Its rather fun though don't you think?” She babbled happily.
