5th years girls dormitory

Kelsey smiled happily and sat on her bed. It was just as soft as she remembered. She laid back, gratefull to be home- FINALLY! She always thought of Hogwarts as her true home. Her house in London was just horrible. She hated her foster mom. That woman was... different. She tried to make Kelsey a 'loving' person. As in loves her! Loves that woman! She made a disgusted face and closed her eyes lovign how her silk sheets felt.

She sighed and turned over. The other beds were still empty. Her heart sank. She was used to being alone. But she wanted to meet someone! Someone new. Which probobly wouldn't happen. But just in case! She looked at her trunk and stood, walking over to it. The black designs always made her think of her best friend, who gave her this. Her best friend was Jessica. She was a Muggle...well a Squib. She knew all about the magical world and gave Kelsey this. Jessy's mother had given her this for when she attended Hogwarts... but she never got the letter. So she gave to Kelsey. Who charishs it now taht she doesn't see Jessy anymore.

Kesley realized she was crying and wiped her cheek. She missed Jessy. She missed her with all of her heart. Kelsey opened her trunk and took out her precious violin. She put it to her chin and started to make a melody then added a beat with her foot. Soon she had a mournfull song filled with longing and how much she missed her best friend. Words gathered into Kesley head and she soon had lyrics. Though did not sing them as it was almost impossible while playing the violin!

Sethia entered the Hufflepuff common room, her things were already upstairs in the fifth year, girls’ dorm and she was heading there now. She was glad to be back at school, back at Hogwarts where she belonged. Sethia had been only a little girl when she lost her family; her mother, father and brothers all died in a car accident, which she had witnessed. That day, the magic within her had shown itself, as she shattered all the windows around her without touching them. After that she had been sent to live with her only relative, her aunt Hetty who lived in Yorkshire. Yes Yorkshire was nice, but not her home in Minnesota, but she had adapted and grown to love it there, but she never really felt she fit anywhere till she came to Hogwarts.

Sethia walked up the stairs to the dorm room and pushed the door. On entering she spied a most welcomed sight, her things, placed next to a large comfortable canopy bed. The room was so welcoming, and to her it was as if she had never let there. Sethia walked over to her bed and flopped down on it, resting her back against those soft sheets, it was then she realised that she was not alone in the dorm. Sethia had been so happy to be back she had missed the girl, sitting on the bed across from her, entirely; she had heard the music but it had not registered in her mind at that moment, her being too elated to be back.

Sethia sat up slowly, listening to the girl as she played the violin, “Hello,” she said softly.

Kelsey hadn't stopped her playing as the girl entered. She barely noticed when she softly said hello. Kelsey, when playing her prized Violin was usually encased in her music and felt as if not really there. But when the girl had said hello Kelsey slammed back into Hogwarts and heard a note squeak. She smiled and replied to the girl.

"Hello!" Kelsey smiled largely at her and then extened her hand in welcome, "My name's Kelsey Maddison. What's yours?"
