She walked into the common room after the trials and tribulations of first getting in. It wasn’t that she had forgotten the pass word, it was more due to the fact that she didn’t speak up enough, and found that the door didn’t think this quiet hushed voice was going to do her any good. They where going to work on her vocal range. She had already settled her things in her bed space provided by the school. Having managed to stick to the shadows mostly and go fairly unnoticed. Her plan of not drawing attention to herself was working out perfectly. She was actually quite pleased with Hogwarts so far, feeling comfortable with the idea of what house she was in, glad that she had a fairly full course load, she had never had such a selection to choose from when it came to her electives. Having seen Care of Magical Creatures on the list she knew she had to take it. Settling herself down on one of the cover sized couches she lugged a leather bound book onto her lap that she had taken out from the library. She couldn’t help but smile to her self, her already rosy cheeks getting more so as a feeling of content ness ran through her. She felt like she belonged for a moment, even if the feeling came from sitting on a soft couch, it was still a good feeling. Opening the book in her lap and starting with chapter one, it was a book on Magical Creatures, races and traits, histories and fun facts, a little light reading. The book was big enough that the small girl’s pail form looked dwarfed by it. The fact didn’t seem to bother her as she leaned over the page, her auburn hair falling over her shoulder, and dug in.

The common room contained the usual bustle of afternoon students. Some were trying to do their studying, others were running around tryging to avoid it. In the corner, there seemed to be two red headed boys who were getting quite a bit of attention, and the air around them had the suspicious smell of mischief. Suddenly one of the boys yelled "Wingardum Leviosa!" Causing a bookback that apparently belonged to a girl who was sitting near by to rise int he air. The group laughed loudly, and them the other boy jumped to his feet, his wand out "Mobilarus!" he cried, causing the bag to move across the room.
The bag had gotten only half way across the room before the first boy lowered his wand, causing the bag to fall on one of the coutches, a series of papers and quills flying everyone where, covering what seemed to be a second year girl
One of the red heads jumped up and went over.
"Sorry about that, Dillion just gets carried away"
From across the room, a rather loud "Do Not!" came from the other red head, who seemed to never miss a beat in his already existing sentence to respond to his brothers comment.

She had been paying complete and utter attention to her book, she hadn’t even noticed the flying book bay. In fact she hadn’t even noticed half the people around her as she was so absorbed by her book. So when she had Quills, paper and all the other things dumped over her suddenly, it was quite a shock. Letting out a frightful scream, her green eyes as wide as saucers. She had literally jumped. The whole scene was almost funny. She let out a sigh when she realized what had happened. She looked up at the older boy and looked around to see if it was her that he was talking to. Realizing that it was as she was the only one on the couch, she nodded at what he said. ‘Its all right’
Her voice barely a whisper and hard to hear amongst the racket. Picking a Quill out of her hair and holding it out for him to take back while she picked up some of the things dumped on her.

He took the quill and shoved it back into the bag, tryign topick up some scattered papers while he did it. He looked back at his brother who was already trying another chearm on something else. This time he was trying to see if he could master turning the fur on the hufflepuff banner's badger orange.
"I'm Payton by the way" he said, looking back at the younger girl. Who still seemed a little shocked at the whole situation. Normally he didn't really care too much when there spells went arye and interfeared with some outside person, but normally the person who was hit knew the twins well enough so it was almsot expected. He didn't know this girl...and that changed the situation compleatly

She looked up at the other slightly intimidated by the fact that he was a boy and that he was older then her. She hadn’t had much interaction with people carrying those two characteristics. Accept her brother, but he didn’t count seeing as brothers never do. ‘I’m Roe’
She told him as she picked up the last few things and handed them to him. Well now, her first introduction, wasn’t so bad she thought, just as long as she didn’t say anything to stupid or out of the ordinary, something that she was prone to doing.

He smiled again, nodding slightly as he looked over his shoulder to see that Dillion had compleatly forgotten his last antics, and hadn't noticed that his brother had yet to returned. He shrugged slightly--it was Dillion and that was normal. He decided that he could take a bit of a break form his troublemaking and make sure this girl was okay. She still seemed a bit intimidated by everything.
"Are you sure your okay?" he asked, as he say down on the other end of the couch. "I mean, you just look like a boogart jumped out at you, not a bunch of quills"

She shook her head quickly ‘No, no I’m fine.’
Not wanting any one to think anything else. Tucking back the auburn hair that had come out of place ‘you don’t have to worry about me. I’m fine…’ She was blabbering, she was nervous. Large amount of people scared her, and this school. Well needles to say it had a large amount of people. Remembering her manners ‘thanks’
Not to sure as to why she said thanks but she did, it seemed like the right thing to do, even if it was the odd thing. Biting down on her tongue before she said anything else to make her more of an oddity.

He shrugged slightly, leaning back against the seat with a comfort only a student who had been here for six years would have.
"Don't worry about it. Hufflepuff's have to watch out for each other right?"
He grinned slightly before signing, and pulling out his wand. He used the Accio charm to pull a quil out of the bad and them the Mobilarus to move it from side to side. He always did simple charms to entertain himself.
