Brooke growled ungratefully at her potions essay. Why was it that potion making required an essay? And it was an essay on moonstones, none the less. Who really cared about moon stones? No, scratch that, why was it that being a witch required potion making. Yes, that was the real question. Why must they study potions? And furthermore why did they have such a stupid, ridiculous, rude, incompetent teacher? Who would hire someone like that? Well, apparently Dumbledore would, but why Snape? Out of all the magical people in the world that could brew potions it just had to be Snape chosen as Hogwarts’ potions master didn’t it. At least if he was teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts she was good at that subject and he would therefore have nothing to criticize her about. Wait, who was she kidding? Snape could always find something to criticize about someone. What a jerk.
She huffed and tossed her essay aside. Forget it, she would scribble in some random facts later. Or maybe she would skive off the next lesson and not turn in the homework. That was an even better idea. Brooke leaned back and closed her eyes, massaging her temples. Potions always made her stressed out. She was horrible at it and she hated it.
Just then she felt someone sit down next to her. She sighed and spoke quietly, “If you’re looking for food or money go away because I don’t care.” There was no response. Brooke really didn’t want to open her eyes. Not yet, so she just settled for speaking. “Hello? Who’s there?”<br>
