He still remember when he had huffed off angerly after his last talk with Katta. She was telling him to stay out of it, and he was telling her there was no way that was going to happen.
Now though, it was a different day, and he sat on one of the desks in the common room, his rune's homework spread out before him. He was trying to distract himself from the thought that Katta, on eof his closest friends, had been avoiding him all day. That was making things more frustrating. He wanted to talk to her--to some how find a way to smooth things out, but everything he spotted her, she seemed to simply disapear into the crowds again. She had said she woudl see him in the common room though, so now here he sat--simply waiting.

Katta entered the Common Room with a group of people, trying to avoid the eyes of Kamron. She headed to a crowded table and sat down with a group of other third year girls, and pretended to be interested with what they were talking about.
After a moment, she pulled out a book and started reading, and very soon after, the other girls did the same. Blasted Transfiguration Theory homework... Katta averted her eyes from where Kamron sat, doing the perpetual Runes homework. She hummed to herself as she completed her essay entitled Transfiguration of Inanimate Objects. She gave a small suppressed chuckle. Pretty self-explanitory, that one.

Thought his runes homework was requiring much of his attention he did see Katta enter out of the corner of his eye. He was not suprised when he saw her sit at a table with a small group of third year girls--thought he was a bit hurt. They had a habbit of studying and doing homework together. He knew that she tended to be bothered by the girls who tened to chatter durring their homework and interupt her reading. He on the other hand prefered the silence between good friends--for he thought more words were shared that way than any other.
He did not look over at her for a while time. He saw her appearing to listen to the girls--thought he knew better, and then he saw her take out a book, and start to write something. He sighed slighting as he finished his homework, finally looking over at her directly. He throught for a moment, before pulling out his wand, and preforming a charm he had read about that made the words "Please come over here" appear for a few seconds on Katta's parchment

Katta looked down at her paper, slightly startled. After a moment, she furrowed her brow and sent the same spell shooting back to Kamron. Her word read "Why?".
She continued scribbling down paragraph after paragraph for Professor McGonagalls' essay, until she had reached two feet of parchment. She glanced at Kamron, strengthening her resolve to pretend like nothing was going on. After all, nothing WAS. Her father was only... drunk... when she was at home. She hadnt been at home for over a week, so what was the fuss all about? The scars would fade, and though she was still very sore on her back to the point where she slept on her stomach, she could deal with it. Half hoping he wouldnt, Katta awaited his reply.

His own face wrinkled slightly with frustration. He hadn't forgotten, but even besides that--they always studied and did there homework together.
That thought kidden like a bright idea. She didn't want to talk about what she had told him, but with any luck the chatter of the other girls, who as best as he could here were talking about who was the cutrest boy in one of there classes, had to be wearing on her last nerves.
He sent antoher note back "We always study goether"

Katta smiled vaguely.
"True... but why not break the mold for once?" she shot back at him. She then turned to her work and began writing hurried answers down on a star chart. She hummed to herself a Muggle song she was rather fond of, and continued working. Her plan was laying out well- her guard was up and Kamron was not going to break through. As she labeled the constellation Andromeda, a memory hit her suddenly. She closed her eyes willing it to go away, but it would not. The door slammed shut downstairs. Katta jumped, startled by the noise. Heavy footsteps were heard running up the stairs. Katta shut her book quickly and sid it under her bed. She leapt to her feet and then lifted up the dust ruffle of her bed. Once she was under, she pried up the loose floorboard and slid under it, into the floor. Her door burst open and she tensed up, knowing fully well that his day hadnt gone well... Katta opened her eyes quickly, and pressed her fingers to her forehead. She shook her head, mentally ridding herself of that memory of that day. "Katta... you were shaking... or something.." said one of the girls sitting next to her. She turned and looked at Kamron, and then, ignoring the stares of the girls around her, got up and moved her things over next to him.

He glanced over at his friend and gave her a half smile, his gaze then landing on the group of girls who were now staring at him and Katta looking very confused. His love of psychology was making his mind wander to what they must be thinking. Of cousre that same obsession was also making his mind wander to what Katta must be thinking as well, but he knew that he was walking on thin ice when it came to her. It was obvious that she was upset with the fact taht hew now knew her secret, and even more upset with the idea that he did not want to stay out of it.
He had to force his attention back to the present moment, if he didn't it woudl wander to far with him and he would say his thoughts outloud, and that would not be a good think for his struggles with Katta.
"What are you working on?" He asked quietly, deciding that was a safe topic.
Normally he was content to study in silence with her, but it has been two days since she had last spoke to him.
