Lydia walked spoke the password and glided her way into password. She blue eyed girl crashed into a couch and opened up the book she was carrying. She was thin girl, but not pencil thin. Her blondish-brown hair cascaded over the cloak that graced her shoulders.
She liked the common room. Unlike other places in the school, you could study without being bothered. She flipped the page of the book on Ancient Runes and went on to the next page.
(( I know its a slow start, but I just really want her to meet her other house mates!))

"Damn!" Kori muttered as she slipped up on her footing. Her right foot tucked under and she collapsed to the ground in slight pain. Sucking in a deep breath, Kori stood up again, counted off the beats and started. One more falter and Kori would scream, and she would make sure people in the Astronomy Tower could hear her. The beat continued on, a simple 8 step, and yet she continued to fail at that move. Her foot always tucked under! Kori put her hands to her head, and tugged at her hair, screaming. Why couldn't she get this right? It was simple! Tuck, swing, slip, tuck, swing, slip! Not tuck, swing, tuck! God! Pressure was wearing on her and she felt, like she was going to implode! She couldn't handle the fact she couldn't get it down right!
Kori, sighing, grabbed her dance bag which was against a wall and left the room in which she had been dancing. Storming through the hallways people stayed clear of her, probably the wisest thing to do at the moment. Her green eyes flashed as she walked, to potential victims of her torment, but she never let it out. She never let her anger out without of control's reach. She was more prepared that way. Never let 'em kick ya when you're down..Kori thought , her eyes glaring fiercly at a 2nd year Hufflepuff. The little kid ran away in fright, dropping all of their books. A glimmer and small smile of satisfaction appeared on her lips, but it soon went away, and a scowl took it's place. Kori made her way down to the dungeons, the air slowly growing colder.
"Sal'zar." Kori said, halfway there. She stepped through the portrait hole and slammed her bag down on the table nearest her. She pushed it away with such strength, she was afraid for herself and everyone else who dare speak to her. Kori breathed a moment, controlling her temper, and picked up the things that fell. When she was finished, she made her way towards a chair and plopped down. Not even noticing someone there. She didn't even acknowledge the girl, she just sat there. Completely unaware.

Calista entered the common room and looked aorund her. She went over to the chairs and sat down. She pulled her bookbag off her shoulder and opened it up to look around. She dug out her pad of art paper and a quill and ink. She sighed as she looked at the half-finished drawing infront of her. She had lost her muse. "Damn it all! How come this happens to me every damn time?" She growled out in frustration and sighed again as she flipped to a new page to start something new. She just ignored the two girls by er. One of which looked way pissed off and Callie really wasn't in the mood for a fight right now. She'd fight dirty. She glanced at the other girl and nodded at her before she started drawing. "hey." She said, then just let her hand get to work.

Dix walked down the halls, a smile on her face. Not a sweet smile. Nor a nice one. An evil one. Malicous and everything else that involved cruelty was portrayed in those velvety red lips. Her brown hair was down but, held back with a crimson red head wrap, with two strings of hair framing her perfectly tan face. She wore her hogwarts uniform as usual, with a pair of boots though. She liked boots better than she did saddle shoes or Mary Janes. Dixie flashed some guys a michevious grin and made her way down to the Slytherin Dungeons.
"Salazar." Dix said with a small, bored, drawl. The portrait slid open and Dixie walked through, that smile reappearing on her face. She loved this smile. The cruelty of it made Dix feel all warm inside. Anyone who knew Dix knew that she was planning something. Something big. And that that smile was the trigger to letting you know when. At first glance around the common room she saw no one she knew, second glance she saw two girls in her year. Third glance she saw someone not in her year. What the hell... Dixie thought as she walked over to them. She sat down next to them, that smile still on her face, and tilted her head, "Hi there. I'm Dixie. Call me Dix."

Gliding into the common room, Chloe glanced around looking for an open seat. Seeing one near one her room mate Calli, she manuevered her way to sit next to her. A quick look around and she realized that everyone was working. How... interesting, she thought to herself but none the less she took out her Aritmancy book and a quill and took to her note taking.

Drake entered the common room anxious to see the friends that he had left behind at the end of the last term. He knew that he had arrived late, but that was due to a rare visit to him by his father. He came home for a few weeks in order to get things ready to sell their house. His father thought that it was best if the house were sold since no one was ever there. With his parents and work and Drake at school. There was no point in having such a big house.
Drake wore his black robes that he had changed into on the ride here, a green emerald around his neck that was in the shape of a snake, and his black glasses that only made his green eyes glimmer even more next to the precious stone.
As he entered the common room he threw his books down on a large chair in the corner. Around the couch next to the chair there were a few people talking.
“Hi, my name is Drake Emerald. I’m a third year, and it is nice to meet you.” He said as he held out his hand.
It had been a rather strange day so far, but he was glad that there was finally someone around him whom he was able to talk to.

Rotten wasn't even the closest word to describe Mackenzie's day. Actually, there is no word to describe Mack's day. There were words that came utterly close to it, and words that were no where near it; but none right on the target. Was there a word to describe Mack's day, ever? No. Not really. Which wasn't too good, because she knew a few people who liked to know about her day. OK, that was a total lie. None the less, she liked to be able to describe her day. So, as she sat in the library- thinking about all the words that could describe a day, one came to her, Monstrousity. Kind of rings like a bell, Mack thought with a smirk. She pushed that thought aside though and stood up from her seat. She left her books and papers scattered all over the table, not really caring if Madame Pince yelled at her. Actually, being yelled at and walking away to make the librarian even more mad would make Mack's day better. Such a tempting thought, but Mack had somewhere to be and someone to see. No. She didn't. She only had a dorm room to be in and a book to read. That was it. No one waiting to speak with her, no place special to be. Then again, Mack never had anyplace special to be, anyone special to see.
Few people knew her, fewer people knew of her. Walking down the halls in between classes, a few would smile at her, a few would run away in fright, others would just breeze right past her, most would run into her thinking she wasn't there. Mack was used to this by now, being nothing but a shadow. It was her life, and she grew with it. Ran with it. It was at a point where she didn't care anymore, she could do things with that shadow and neglect that other's couldn't. Get away with things, hear things and see things that she wasn't supposed to hear nor see. Mack considered her neglection a gift at times, and a curse at others. Mack was sometimes thankful for being alone, she didn't like much attention, nor did she like drawing attention to herself. Mack was a lain back girl, someone who liked to be by herself or a small group of friends. Mackenzie sighed as she walked through the corridors, her arms crossed, her grey shoulderbag banging lightly against her leg. She looked depressed, when she wasn't. A scowl was what was on Mack's face and pale blue eyes, making her look so much more older than what she really was. A 13 year old shouldn't look like a 15 year old, yet Mack was very much worn out for her age.
She sighed again, this time less audible, and took the first flight of stairs down towards the Slytherin Dungeons. Why are the Slytherins placed in the dungeons? Shouldn't we be up in the towers? Above everyone else? Mack thought, steadily making her way down the staircase. She was taking her sweet little time, not really in a rush to get to the Common Room and talk to no one. One more flight of stairs later, Mack was in front of the portrait. By the look of the portraits attitude, it was getting quite agitated with her just standing there, but Mackenzie made no move in speaking the password and walking into the cold yet welcoming common room. Finally, with one everlasting sigh, Mack spoke the password and stepped inside. There were a few people sitting around, near each other, but not really looking to be talking. Mack picked out a few faces; Kori, Dix, and Drake. So maybe her night wouldn't be totally ruined. What harm was there if she went and tried to talk to someone? Other than her sister. Mack took off her shoulderbag and set it on a nearby chair, slightly so it wouldn't make much noise, she then timidly made her way over to the group of Slytherins, "Well, isn't this nice? Evening tea?" She asked, her voice oozing with sarcasm.

Drake laughed as he looked up from the book he had been reading. It was called Potions for the New Age Wizard.
“Hey Mac,” He said. “It’s nice to see you again.”<br> Drake slowly closed his book and put it back into his bag.
“It’s getting rather boring. Wanna do something?” He asked.
Drake stood up to stretch his muscles. He then sat back down and looked at Mac.

Mack plopped into an empty chair, "What no tea? Darn, I was looking forward to tea too. Well if tea is no where to be found, I don't know what to do." Mack stated in even more sarcasm than before. Mack liked to use sarcasm a lot. She twidled a blonde piece of hair around her finger and looked around the common room, "A bit dull isn't it?" She asked, turning her attention to the only person who seemed to be alive. She then let her plae eyes dart to her sister, then she looked away not wanting to look at Dix that long.
"What to do, what to do. Hmm..." Mack tapped her finger to her chin, to appear to be thinking and shook her head, "Nope, I got nothing." She wasn't a person to ask for ideas or suggestions for something to do. Having never really been with a group of friends. Mack was able, however, to talk about things non-stop or just listen. She was able to pretend to be interested in things, when in truth she wasn't. Mackenzie smiled and looked at Drake, "Any ideas?" She asked, raising her right eyebrow.
