(( Yeah, I had no idea what to write. Hopefully we can mold something off of this. )) The clinking of glasses and silverware on plates filled the Great Hall. On top of man made sounds voices expelled into the hallways around. Dawn sat in the massive, Great Hall. She sat next to Saski and Pansy as she finished her meal. Snickering under their breath, they conversed about the newest couples, the rotten mudbloods- the normal. Finishing her dinner, She wanted to go wander off on her own. Saying her goodbyes as she departed- she turned and walked out of the Great hall. Marching across the marble floor, Dawn went down the stairs towards the Slytherin Common room. She decided a nice eveing in would be fine. The dungeon hallways were silent. An echo came from Dawn's high heels with each step. Turning to her left, she walked down a dimmed hallway. It was always dim- to show non Slytherins that 'this was the wrong way', but in reality it was the correct way to the Common Room. Turning right, Dawn stopped at a suit of armor. "Salazar." she spoke as the suit put his sword away and moved aside for the porthole opening. Walking through the corridor, Dawn stepped into the Common Room, dressed in blacks, silvers, and deep greens. A few students sat at the extra tables and a few on the chairs by the fire. Dawn wasnt in the mood to talk to anyone who was present at the moment. Walking across the room, towards the book shelf. Fixing her glasses so that they were fitted perfectly, Dawn skimmed her finger over the brims. Her Blonde hair, which framed her face perfectly seemed to sway as she shifted her weight from one foot to another. "Ah." she spoke to herself as she took a book off the wall. Holding it at her side, she went towards the couch and sat. Opening it up, she turned to the middle of the book and started at the beginning of a chapter, as it seemed. Pulling her legs up on the couch, she layed comfortably as the clock struck 8 o'clock p.m.

Aden walked down the unlit corridor. His footsteps echoed along the stony walls and traveled down deep into the darkness. He wasn’t at all worried. Even though there was no lighting whatsoever, he could see well enough. He had found these corridors during his first year and could navigate them blind. These corridors were extremely deep in the ground. They were even lower than the Slytherin common room. He had to laugh at the thought of the 2nd years face at this precise moment. The Ravenclaw had been nearly ecstatic when Aden had told him he knew of a secrete location where he could find some ancient books that would help him with his exams. Aden had lead him through numerous trap doors and secrete passages until the young boys head was spinning with directions. Than in the heart of the corridors. Aden had slipped into the shadows.
Aden hadn’t been completely heartless. He left a piece of paper in the boy’s pocket, with a glow charm on it, that had a riddle written on that would lead the boy back out of the dungeons. Aden had to wonder how long it would take the boy to solve to the riddle. A day, two days? There came a corner up head but Aden moved directly to it, placing his hand on the wall and continued to walk. The wall slid back and revealed a passage. This passage lead him to another corridor where he found another passage and so on. Finally he reached the main corridor that lead to the Slytherin common room. This corridor, unlike the once he just came from, were dimly light. He stopped for a moment to let his eyes adjust. Once satisfied he began to walk again.
Aden soon came upon the suit of armor guarding the common room. “Salazar” He told the suit with a bored tone of voice. He taped his foot as the suit moved to the side to reveal the entrance to the common room. “Seriously. Cant you learn to move faster? Some of us might have important things to do.” He moved past the silent suit and climbed into the common room. Surveying the room he noticed a few minor students milling about the common room minding their own business. He glanced over at the couch in front of the fire and than began to walk towards his dorm. He stopped and looked at the couch again. Noticing some familiar dark blond hair poking out of the side of the couch.
He already knew who it was laying on the couch before he even saw them clearly. He hadn’t spoken to his sister in a long time. Both of them had been extremely busy this past year. The most they had been able to do was nod at each other during passings in the halls. Aden moved over toward the couch. Leaning over the edge of the couch to look down at Dawn. “Why hello, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen you before. Are you a new first year?” He said to her, a smile across his face and a twinkle in his eyes.

(( I am Baaaccckkk! )) a few minutes passed. Students from the house walked around minding their own work. Walking from the dorms to the porthole, to the chairs, to the fire, etc. A farmiliar voice spoke towards Dawn as she looked up over the brim of her glasses. "Introducing yourself to a first year? Oh dear boy, becoming closer to those muggle lovers every day, eh?" Dawn said as she glanced back at her book, and nonchalantly turned the page. Reading the first sentance, Dawn spoke outloud- "...' The Slytherin house sould hold only those cunning folk who are as witty and hold the keen sharp mind alike Salazar himself...' Damn, how that has changed." she spoke as she closed the book and placed it on the table beside her. Sitting up, Dawn looked over at her younger brother, Aden. Merely a year younger than herself, she looked to him as if he was a peer. Pausing for a minute, "Sit, Or don't you want to converse with your sister?" Dawn joked as a few people turned their heads as they noticed the McGrogan family were together. Fixing her glasses, Dawn ran her hand through her hair as she yawned after a long day. "Aden found any friends yet? Or are you still an outcast?" she smirked as she rose her right eyebrow egging him on.

Aden couldnt help but smile at his sisters comment. She was good at this game, but than again, so was he. "Why ofcourse. I must introduce myself and make sure those first years are worthy to remain in the house of Slytherin." He did have to sigh a little. "It is sad, but what you say is true. With each passing year the first years get chummier with the Mudbloods." He listened to her read the passage from her book. He chuckled, "Ah yes. Keen, sharp and witty. Ingrediants to a great Slytherin. Tell me sister, how ever did you get in here wilst lacking those qualities." He couldnt contain his grin.
He moved around the couch and took a seat next to his sister. "Why ofcourse I can always find time to have a friendly chat with my dear sister." He tapped a finger against his chin. "You know, I have been called lots of things, but I do believe 'Outcast' has so far been off that list. Than again, I wouldnt view myself as an outcast. Merely, a outside observer. As for friends, It is extremely difficult to find anyone worth the time. I wouldnt say I have made friends, but friendly acquaintences, now those I have."
He turned and looked at his sister. Another grin playing itself across his face. "How about you? Any new friends? Hows that little club of yours going?" He said this in a playful tone. Aden would have to be a full to outwardly insult the Queens of Slytherin by calling them a litte club. Aden had no worries though, him and Dawn played this banter game all the time.

"Simply by putting youself in the same conversation with a first year could get you in trouble." Dawn spoke as her volume was loud, making sure any first year evesdropping would hear, and understand the message. As she read the passage from her book, Aden replied playfully. "Of all the men in this world I am stuck with you as a brother. Of course, I am more of a Slytherin than you'll ever be. I am actually the ideal- being I was picked for prefect and all. Even you look up to me, don't deny it!" Dawn exclaimed as she rubbed Aden's head messing up his hair, although it already looked messy enough.
Aden spoke of 'friendly aquantances' "Well I would like you to have some fun sometimes with others. So, who are these aquantances? Good Blood, I hope?" She asked in a honest volume. She would sticktly point out the bad from the good if Aden spoke of bad blood. But she dearly hoped that he was sane enough to be surrounded by good blood. "Friends for me? Of course. The usual Leland, Saski, Pansy, Hendrix etc... And my 'club' is good. To bad there isn't a male one you could join. " Dawn spoke honest yet again. She knew her brother could achieve great things if he just had a good outlet. And great things would be ment for him and his family- not minor abilities.
Yawning Dawn stretched her arms over her head. The evening was young yet the drowsiness seemed to set in. When you were in the dungeons you dont know when the sun rises or when it sets. You just merely guess if there is light out or not. The dungeons had a cool eerie appearence to it. It was loved by some and loathed by many. But Dawn being in her 6th year of Hogwarts has grown a liking to it. Even though it was lacking a few amenities. Tightening her cloak around her body, she turned to Aden. Dawn's tone seemed to be the same since the last time she spoke- sedate, and honorable but serious. "Have you spoke to father?" She said as her voice dropped a few volume levels.
She knew Aden was fully aware of what their father did. Dawn hasn't heard from him in the past month ever since she sent him a OWL about Pyro. She didn't know when he did things, or how. She was just worried that when the year was through that Dawn would have to be the leader of the house. Dawn put a lot of pressure on herself. She took it upon herself to watch after Aden when they were younger. Since their mother wasn't around and with their father out, Dawn couldn't trust Rachel. She always seemed distant from her father and his work. She never spoke against it, nor has she ever spoke for it- but when she turned 18 she left the home. She rarely keeps ties with Dawn and Aden- btu she does make an effort. But Gregory hasnt heard from her in years.

Aden couldn’t help but smile. He and Dawn would be able to drag that out all night if they felt like it. Aden though didn’t feel the need to spend a whole night having a discussion about first years. He decided to allow Dawn to have this little victory, but he wasn’t going to allow the ideal Slytherin comment to pass that easily. He smirked. “Well, its not very ideal for a Slytherin to be forced to fall back on the “Prefect exit”. Most of us real Slytherins are able to find much better comebacks.” His smile began to grow. “And since when has Dumbledore shown any wisdom in his decisions? Mudbloods are infesting the school. Professors are getting worse year after year. The old man is senile and clearly cant make decisions anymore. He should be replaced.”
How Aden had missed these transactions over the year. Dawn was one of the only people to keep Aden on his toe’s in battles of the wits such as this. He had to remember to set time apart in the future for just him and Dawn. He couldn’t help but scoff at her question of about his ‘acquaintances.’ “Now dear sister. Don’t tell me you don’t have enough faith in me to be able to tell the difference from good blood and bad blood.” He could easily tell the difference between a pureblood and a half-blood. “I have recently exchanged words with a dorm mate of mine, Kris Graas. I also had the pleasure of meeting, and seeing more than needed, Desiray Cestbon.” Aden couldn’t help but think back to that particular conversation in the courtyard. Although Desiray wasn’t exactly popular with the house at the moment.
This actually did bring up a interesting this for him to think about. He was in his fifth year, and he was still a bit of a loner. He had never done the outgoing thing. Never felt the need to go out and make a effort to talk to people unless there was a benefit to him. His attention was brought back to the conversation at hand when she mentioned their father. Her voice dropped a few levels in volume and so did his. He shook his head. “No, not about anything important, just the usual pleasantries.” Aden knew quite well what their father did and also knew that he was a very busy man. So Aden tried not to disturbed unless there was something really important going on. Although in the last owl his father had sent him he had mentioned a issue with a Slytherin third year. Aden didn’t think it was to important though.

(( I hear my presence has been requested, and that happens to be one of the few offers I almost never turn down ))
Dinner in the great hall was hardly more pleasurable than usual. It seemed that as the school year progressed the social behavior of her fellow students, if they could even be considered ‘fellow’ being the lowly group that they were, demised as the year progressed. Perhaps it was acceptable as finals were coming and nerves ran raw, but their behavior was hardly acceptable to being with, making it infuriating now.Without saying good-bye to the small cluster of Slytherins she considered worth spending her time with, she rose and left the great hall with the common room as her destination. She had yet had time to change out of her school uniform, though she had accented it in her own way today by changing her shirt to green and wearing it with black heels that laced up her leg and tied just above her knees. Uniforms grew so dull after a while.
As she stepped into the common room, she saw that a few students had gathered there. Her deep honey eyes glanced around to see just who, besides herself, had found the great hall intolerable this evening. It was not until a particular blonde sixth year settled into view that she stopped her scan and moved forward again. Dawn was sitting with a boy who she had not met, but there she fairly bothered herself with social obligations such as befriending her housemates. She had a vague idea that he was also a McGrogan, Dawn’s younger brother, but she was not entirely sure.
As she approached she heard reference to Kris, a boy who she had met along with a small group of students, which Dawn had been a part of, and Desiray, a girl she was happy to have not encountered yet. She saw the boy lean in closer to his sister and say something in a much lower tone. Her timing seemed rather perfect, as she reached the pair just as he stopped speaking to his sister.
“Family gathering?”

Listening to Aden, as he spoke about their father. Dawn nodded as she was quickly interupted by a girl. Looking away from Aden, she found where the voice was comming from. Danika Yakov. She was a fourth year Slytherin. By their first meeting, Dawn liked her, and that was quite hard to come by. She was even younger than Aden and yet she still pictured herself as his age or older. Dawn liked that of her. It reminded her, of herself. As cliche as that sounded, it was true. Of course, if it was from any other younger student by now, their head would have been thrown into the fire without even asking 'Why?'
Dawn remembered Danika's name from a few years back. Her father had a meeting with Dawn's father at McGrogan Manor, so she remembered meeting him. At Dani and Dawn's first actual meeting, Dawn noticed the name right off the bat.
"Just may by that way." Dawn said Flatly, as she turned away form Danika and looked at Aden in a look of, 'We'll-talk-more-on-that-subject-later' type of looks. Turning back to Dani, she said "And what bring you over hear to us? Friends gone with halfbreeds?" Dawn asked as she noticed more and more of the younger students seem to venture close to muggles no'adays.

((Sorry, best I could come up with...i was drawing a major blank...))
No sooner had he finished his sentance that a voice spoke to them. Aden turned and spotted a 4th year girl. Apperantly it was her who had spoken to them. It seemed she hadnt overheard what they were talking about. It took Aden a moment to recognize the girl. He had never met her personally, but he had heard a lot about Danika and her family. Aden had met her father once when he had come to the manor for a meeting with his father, but it was just a formal introduction, so Aden had never really spoken to the man.
Aden didnt need Dawns glance to know to shut his mouth about their current subjection. Aden had learned from a young age not to talk to openly about their father to just anyone. Even if pressed he had to pick his words wisely.
Had he been in his 1st year he would have scoffed at Dawns comment, but lately it did seem that a lot of the newer Slytherins were warming up to the muggle population.
Aden leaned back a bit and took in the situation. Rolling it around in his mind. He couldnt help but be intrigued and amuesed at the current situation. He usually kept out of his sisters affairs unless he saw the need to get involved or he was asked. He decided to remain quiet for the moment and see how this played out. If Dawn needed him, which she rarely did in these situations, he would back her up immediatly. He looked over at Danika to see how she would respond to Dawns question.

As Dawn commented she moved to a chair next to the older Syltherin and settled down, making herself comfortable before she responded to the question. She never answered questions until she was fully settled and comfortable. Especially when they had a sarcastic undertone. She had only spoken with Dawn once before, and even that brief exchange of words was no more than that. She knew that their parents had met on occasion, exchanging things for the ‘greater good’ as he use to say, though she knew what he was doing. “Anyone who converses with halfbreeds are no better than the filth themselves, and I make a point to stay as far from filth as possible.”
She let her gaze drift back to the boy, her eyes narrowing slightly as she studied him for a moment, trying to remember if she had any memories of him individually, but there were none. She had no contact with him, but then, more often than not, she found the male gender to be lacking in intelligence. “I’m afraid I have never bothered to learn you name.”
