It was early on Monday morning. The grass was wet from the rainfall earlier that night. The moister in the air turned into an ere layer of fog 2 feet off the ground. The Waters mannor stood 3 storys tall surrounded by woods. It looked like something you would see off a movie. The way the sun barely peaked over the horizon and the house cast a small shadow over the grass. Inside the house there wasn't a noise heard. All the lights were off and everyone seemed asleep. Cole lay in his bed staring at the ceiling. He knew it was time to get up. Looking at his clock he saw the time. "6 o'clock he said to himself." Cole stood up out of his bed and stretched. He walked over to his closet and grabbed his practice quidditch robes. Cole put them on and walked downstairs.
Trying to stay as quiet as he could Cole opened the refrigerator and grabbed a piece of left over pizza. Shoving it in his mouth Cole grabbed a protein shake and downed the entire thing. With a disgusted look on his face he threw away the bottle. Cole went and looked out the back window at the quidditch pitch. He loved the pitch. That was the reason he was up so early. He was going to start his summer training. The only problem was since he would be playing with the Foulmouth Falcons in a year he needed to boost his training. The only way he could think of to make his training harder was to do it with another person. Cole had invited Perseus over to help him train.
Cole walked outside towards the pitch. Perseus was an older Slytherin who played quidditch. He was pretty good and would help push Cole to his limits in training. He also thought of training with Dawn McGrogan. Cole would have liked that. He always ended up playing with her anyway this summer so it didn't matter. Cole was also afraid personal feeling would get in the way if he trained with Dawn. That seemed to happen alot when he was around her. When Cole got to the broom shed he grabbed his Firebolt and Flew into the air. He did a couple laps while waiting for Perseus. Finally he saw a figure walking over to the pitch with a broom on their shoulder. Cole landed and waited for them to get closer.

Perseus had recently turned seventeen, the age when one became a man in the wizarding world. It also happened to be the convenient age when one could take their apparation test, which Perseus passed. He was definitely not exultant about utilizing this new ability, but found that it was imperative when the Knight Bus was currently busy elsewhere, there was no floo powder, and flying over muggle towns was not an option. It was a sullen day as Perseus packed some quidditch gear into a trunk and prepared to apparate; dark, melancholous clouds drifted across a Cimmerian sky, a thick fog hovered near the ground, and through his rain spattered window, Perseus could just barely get a glimpse of the little light filtering through the clouds in the east. He was currently in his grandfather's mansion, which had been inconveniently charmed to make sure that none could enter by apparation or stealth. Taking a pen from his desk, Perseus wrote a note to his father and grandfather, who were both at work, telling them that he would probably spend the day at the Waters Mannor, training with Cole Waters, whom Perseus knew to be a superb Quidditch player. He pulled on green quidditch robes over his trousers and shirt and hurried down the stone steps of his mansion, broom on one shoulder and the rest of the Quidditch equipment in the trunk. As he walked down the steps, Perseus went over the instructions for apparating in his head and concentrated extremely hard on the pavement next to the gates of the Waters Mannor. It was instant as Perseus felt like being sucked into a hole. The next moment, he was standing in front of the Waters Mannor's gates. It opened automatically for him and Perseus trudged towards the pitch.
As he cleared the fog and got onto the Quidditch pitch, Perseus saw Cole walking foward. When they were nearly face to face, Perseus greeted,"Good day, Cole!! Why don't we warm up a bit first?" With that, Perseus mounted his Firebolt and sped around the pitch a couple of times before landing again. Perseus continued,"Okay. So, what position do you usually play?"

Cole walked down the wet grass towards Perseus. Cole stuck his hand out and shook Perseus's while he said "Hey it's great you could make it." Cole watched as Perseus he took a couple of warm up laps. When he landed Perseus he asked Cole what position he played. Cole laughed at the question as most people knew him as one of if not the best Keeper in the school. "I play Keeper Perseus. I figured you would have known that." Cole said smiling. "I usually do 100 crunches and 50 push ups to start off." Cole said getting on the ground and doing them. After he was done he stood up and wiped off his back.
"So what's that in your trunk?" Cole asked pointing at it. He wasn't sure what Perseus had brought with him but if it was a quaffle or something Cole already had a bunch. Cole looked at Perseus as he waited for him to answer the question.
(Sorry it's so short. Writers block. Ill make up for it))

((Did you get rid of Cedric Wood or something? Anyways, I also have Writers Block right now. ) Perseus looked at Cole with a bit of a bemused expression, "Well, I've never watched you play and I thought that the Seeker position was what you would be after. Anyways, I brought all the balls. They're in here." He pointed at the oaken trunk, answering Cole's inquiry. Without further ado, Perseus opened his trunk, reached into a drawer inside, and meticulously retrieved a golden snitch. Perseus held it in his open palm before putting it back into the drawer and quickly picked up his beaters bat. The bat was made of a very hard oak and was charmed to be infrangible and water-proof. After putting that to the side, Perseus uncovered two, jet black balls and motioned for Cole to come forward. "I've got two of these "smart" bludgers, as I've charmed them to be much more intelligent. They would prove very difficult to evade for the average Quidditch player, but I'm sure that you are above that. Why don't we start off this little training session with some bludger evasion tactics?" Perseus unlocked the two shackles that held the bludgers to the bottom of the trunk. Instantaneously, the two iron balls rocketed into the air at a prodigious speed and dissapeared into obscured ambiences. Perseus picked up his bat and took off from the ground on his Firebolt. A small indenture had appeared where Perseus had been just seconds ago and he barely had enough time to see a black blur flash by his line of sight. "All right!" Perseus called. "I'll try to hit you with these bludgers, but if I performed the charm correctly there will be no need! So, all you need to do is to dodge them." Without any more hesistation, Perseus plunged after one of the bludgers, which was flying towards Cole, keen to see how well he would do. The wind whistled in his ears as he lapped the pitch several times, looking at the mass of antediluvian stone and wood that was Cole Manor and at the collosal trees that surrounded the premises.

((No this is the same character they just made me change my name))
Cole listened to Perseus talk about him playing seeker and Cole laughed. "Yeah I'm not one for flying around and looking for a little ball." Cole said smiling. He didn't like playing seeker but he respected the hell out of them because that was a hard position to play. Cole watched Perseus pull the balls and bats out of the trunk. When Perseus said smart bludgers Cole raised one eyebrow, but before he could ask what they were Perseus explained. "Oh" Cole said "This ought to be fun."
Cole smiled as Perseus let the balls go. He jumped on his Firebolt and took off. Right as he began to fly a bludger came after him. Cole couldn't wait to see what these bludgers could do. As the one of them came at him Cole did a simple backflip and dodged the bludger. "Is that all they have?" Cole yelled laughing to Perseus. Just then a bludger came out of nowhere and hit Cole on the shoulder. Cole almost fell off his broom but held on upside down. Getting back up he rubbed his shoulder and said "Ow that hurt." Then he saw another one coming at him. Cole took off towards the trees and flew as fast as he could into the woods.
Weaving in and out Cole dodged the trees as he flew past them. Looking back he saw the bludger smash right through the trees. Cole laughed and flew above the tree line and back towards the pitch. Just then the other bludger cam after him. With both the bludger on his tail Cole got to the middle of the pitch and dove straight down towards the ground. At the last second he pulled up and both the bludgers plummeted into the ground. Cole floated in the air and watched to see if the bludgers came back up and they did. "When will they stop?" he yelled laughing.

Perseus replied with an evil grin, "When I tell them to stop or when they have been destroyed." He resumed his lightning fast manuevers around the Quidditch pitch, keeping a vigilant eye out for the bludgers. They were a great success and seemed to be expeditious in ameliorating Cole's agility. It was certainly unambiguous that the bludgers were having a hard time getting to Cole. Perseus decided to raise the difficulty of dodging the bludgers by a level and began tracking down the bludgers, pelting them towards Cole whenever he found one. Due to the foggy conditions, Perseus could not tell whether or not his bludgers hit, but was impressed by Cole's remarkable skill. They continued practicing until the fog that obscured the grounds began to clear away and the resplendent sunlight broke through the clouds, illuminating the the pitch. Perseus decided that he would take on the role of Chaser, as the continuous bludger-dodging practice became tedious. "Okay, I think it's time for us to begin training you in the art of blocking Quaffles!" Perseus yelled for Cole to hear. He landed next to the trunk and obtained the red ball from within before turning back to face Cole. "You ready?" He called into the air. When he got an acknowledgement, Perseus got back onto his Firebolt and kicked off from the ground, flying towards the goalpost. Although Perseus did not play the position of Chaser at Hogwarts, he had picked up a fair amount from watching his fellow Slytherins play. They all seemed to use a feinting manuever as they neared the goalposts, but Perseus knew that with only one person, it would be different. He had come prepared for this. Perseus slipped a small flask out of his robes and drank two drops. In a matter of seconds, two other Perseus's had materialized on either side of him. They were like "shadows" of him, but unlike echoes that could be created from spells like priori incantatem, they were solid.
They flew several laps around the pitch, looking for any flaws in Cole's form, but it was hard to distinguish any of those flaws. Perseus seriously doubted that Cole had any flaws and was a bit surprised that Cole had asked him to train with him in the first place. As he neared the goalposts, Perseus feinted to the left, but thew the Quaffle over his shoulder to the "shadow" of himself that was on his right and watched the "shadow" throw the Quaffle towards the rightmost goalpost. Perseus held his breath and waited to see what happened.

Cole smirked at what Perseus said. The bludgers were beginning to get easier to dodge after practice but Cole could tell that Perseus wouldn't let that happen. With the fog it became harder to see but Cole did a good job staying alert. After dodging three bludgers one clipped Cole's foot and sent him into a spin to wards the ground. Cole got back in control and pulled out just in time. "That was close." Cole said looking out for more bludgers. The fog started to clear up and Cole could tell Perseus was beginning to get bored with the bludgers. He watched Perseus fly over to the trunk and get a quaffle. "That's what I'm talking about." Cole said smiling.
"If blocking is an art then call me Van Gogh." Cole said laughing. He couldn't wait to start practicing in his regular position. Cole flew over to the goal posts and waited for Perseus to come at him. Then suddenly he saw Perseus multiply. "It must be a distraction." Cole said to himself. He watched Perseus come at him and Cole followed him to the left but suddenly he threw it to a clone and Cole watched the Clone score. Cole was stunned. "I didn't know they could play." Cole said retrieving the quaffle. Throwing it to Perseus he said "OK try that again. Now I will be ready." Cole floated in front of the goal posts waiting for Perseus to come at him.
