Lets get in shape (( Elle/cheerlears))

Alyson wondered out into the street at five a.m. She put her music on and began to strech on the grass of her yard. When she was sure she was limber she began to run.


She turned the corner and continued to run. After she finished her ten laps she came back and toke her pom-poms. She turned of her music so she could cheer. She began with a simple dance number. Arms out. Then toghter infront of her. Feet toghter at the same time. her clasped hands and elbows up. And she kicked her legh over and did a cartwheel. " Go team." She finished.


As she stopped to take a drink. She relized that someone was behind her. " Oh hi Elle. What are you doing here?" She asked.

Elle looked around the room, blinking in the darkness. It was five in the morning, and all of her friends were asleep at her welcome home party. She had been trying to pull off an all-nighter, and so far she was successful. Yet, she was getting rather bored because all her friends had succumbed to sleep an hour ago.

She got up, deciding to take a little walk. Sneaking out of the room, while stepping over people and trying not to trip wasn't an easy task, especially in the dark. It had taken Elle more than five minutes to complete it. Once she was out of the large game room that everyone was sleeping in, she went into her room to find a change of clothes. She changed quickly into a tank top and sweat pants, running a brush through her hair and tying it up. Then she walked out of the house, breathing in the fresh air.

Elle walked quite a distance before she saw someone that was out this early. Noticing that it was Alyson, a fellow ravenclaw, she decided to go up and greet her. Right when she was about to speak, Alyson had turned around and said hello first.

"Well," Elle explained to Alyson, "I'm having a sleepover, but all my friends are asleep and I'm trying to pull off an all-nighter. I got a little bored and decided to take a walk. I guess I just lost track of how long and far I'd been walking because then I ended up here, and I saw you."

Eyeing the music and the pom poms, Elle raised an eyebrow and began to speak again, "So I see you're practicing your cheers. Mind if I join?"

" Yeah. Come on. I'm practicing some dance numbers. So when school starts I can be in shape and full-fill my duties as the head cheerleader." She said as she screwed the top of her water bottle. " So show me what you got." Alyson said as she practiced what she was goinng to say at the try outs.



She was full of life and the cool morning air brought a healthy flush to her cheeks. She moved out of the way and turned the music back on. It was all lively and healthy. She checked her watch. Six. Pretty goood. Another hour and she would go home. She promised her self. She really enjoyed staying out doors.


Her butler kept looking out the eindow and pointing to his watch. She rolled her eyes at him. And turned back to Elle. " Come on. Show your spirit." She said as she shoke her pom-poms.

"First let me stretch," Elle said, as she went into the splits, leaning over to stretch her back muscles. Continuing, she said, "I haven't done this gymnastics stuff in ages, but then again, I do take dance very intensively, so I have the flexibility. Plus, I do hiphop and that often incorporates gymnastics in it. I was also on the cheerleading squad for my muggle school before I came to Hogwarts."

Once she had finished stretching out all of her muscles carefully, Elle decided to warm up a bit by doing a single handspring.

Before she did anything else, she spoke again, "And we did learn those stunts where a group of people lift one up and they stand and do cheers and such."

She looked around, noting that she didn't bring pom poms, remembering that she had originally intended on taking a walk.

"Well, I don't really have pom poms," Elle said to Alyson, "Do you have any you could lend me just for practice today? I do have some Ravenclaw pom poms at home that I bought at a Hogwarts spirit store."

Without really bothering to answer, she did a series of handsprings, which led into a single, perfectly done aerial flip.

A little red in the face, Elle spoke again, "We had to do this kind of stuff in our hiphop combo, so yeah. And anyways, about the pompoms..."

Alyson listened to her cheer background. It was queit impressive. Alyson herself never went to a muggle school. She had a private tutor. But she was natruley flexible. She learned alot of her moves from her cusions in the states. Who where both cheerleader captains them selves. Stacie for the junior sqaud. And Lisa for the varsity. And she would always practice with them.



" You have a very good background and it will help you. But you always must rember have fun and smile." Alyson said with a lot of spirit and showed her white teeth. She got up and did an one handed handspring. Simply becasue she felt like it. She tossed the pom-poms to Elle. As she went back to her spot on the grass.


" So you like to cheer?" Alyson asked. She knew it was a retarded question but it was nessory.

Elle smiled, getting a little tired. Afterall, she hadn't slept in almost twenty-four house. Catching the pompoms, she did a basic cheer, using only arm motions.

She kept the pompoms in her hands, right hand on her hip, the left extended, slightly up. Then she switched, so that the left hand was on her hip. She put her pompoms together, clapping twice with the pompoms still in her hands Elle switched again, and at the last switch, her right arm was raised and slightly out. Then the clapped twice again, repeating this sequence again and again.

To these moves, she yelled in rhythm, "We are! *clap**clap* Raven-claw! *clap**clap*," over and over again.

When Alyson asked if she liked to cheer, she smiled brightly and said, "Of course I like to cheer! Otherwise I wouldn't have signed up!"

As Elle finished Alyson clapped. '' Thats was great but were going to do more invanced things. Dance numbers are really hot and in right now so those and probley pep ralleys." Alyson said as she looked over her clipboard. She was disappionted at the lack of school spirit in hogwarts but knew with the help of the squads it would return to the beloved school.



" Hey you seem tired would you like to go inside and have some thing to drink?" Alyson asked as she pointed to her Mansion. The butler was pointing to his watch again. And she waved him off. In a laughing way she pointed at him." Plus Chev might brake his wrist from tapping it so much." She said as she reput her hair into a simple ponytail.


She stood up and moved her stuff out of the way. She did a backbend and flipped both feet over at the same time. And did a back flip. " We really are goinng to look great this year." She said as she landed.

"Oh of course!" Elle said, "That was one of the really basic ones I did. You know, we could also double up as a drill team, for maybe if someone is injured, and that can be the 'half-time show'."

Elle stifled a yawn and continued, "Naw it's cool. I just haven't slept for a day because I'm pulling off an all-nighter. You know, I'm still supposed to be at my house, pretending to be asleep with all my other friends. But then I got really bored and decided to take a walk. And here I am."

She clapped after Alyson's move, "Yeah, but I think we need more people, don't you? Ah well, there's plenty of time for recruiting people after the school year starts. Do you wanna get started on a dance routine right now, and then we can teach it to the others? That's actually more or less my specialty, since I'm more focused on dance as opposed to gymnastics."

Elle smiled, waiting for Alyson's reply, and brushed off some grass from her sweat pants, which really weren't ideal for cheerleading practice. They were sweats and were looser and better than jeans, but they were still pants. That brought Elle to another idea.

"What about uniforms?" she asked, "They can probably be relatively simple, you know. For instance, Ravenclaw's could be a blue standard uniform with a raven and a grey 'R' on it. I don't think we should concentrate on the uniforms too much. I mean, it's the stunts and stuff that people are really interested in. What's you opinion on the matter?"

" Well I was thinking we should recuruit members. I mean Ravenclaw has more than anyone else so far and thats a good start." Alyson said as she looked over her clipboard. " One person each for Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. One one for Slytherin." Alyson said assh flipped to the dance section of the clipboard.



" I have charted out a couple of dance routines but the need more people to do the. Plus before we actully teach the moves we have to train. So we can be able to accomplish the moves." Alyson said with a smile.


" Speaking of uniforms. My aunt since she went to Hogwarts and well the live in the U.S now she sent me over some simple uniform designs." She told Elle. " Chev bring out the designs." She said to the man at the window. Turning to Elle. " I didn't want a lecture so he'll bring them out." She said simply.



Five mintues Chev came out with a bag. He went back inside shaking his and mummered something that souded like teenagers. Alyson giggled and opened the back. She removed the first one it was a skirt about 12 pelts and it was blue with gray in side the pelts. A gray line ran daigonally down to the end with a blue R on it. She picked it up and let Elle hold it. This is a simple desgn. My aunt designs colthin and such and she sent these over for me." Alyson said as she waited for Elle to comment on the skirt.

"Yeah," Elle said, agreeing with Alyson, "We can ask a professor to make an announcement on the first day about cheerleading sign up, and they can go to you if they're interested in it. That way, the people who would be interested but don't know about it yet would learn about it."

"True true," Elle continued, "But I mean, the people who sign up most probably know at least a few cheers and basic moves. Either way, we will train."

As Chev brought out the uniforms, and Alyson took them out of the bag, Elle smiled brightly.

"That's awesome!" she said, "They're perfect! And then, of course, it would be easy to get a few blue and grey ribbons for our hair to decorate our ponytails. The other houses, of course, will have different colors."

For a while, Elle let her imagination run, "And we could even have a band, and a color guard, a drill team, pep rallies..." she continued for awhile before snapping back into reality.

"Nevermind," she mumbled, "Let's get the cheerleaders together first. Then we can worry about those kinds of things."

"So, shall we continue practice before someone finds out that I'm not in my house and come looking for me?" Elle asked.

" No I can't. I prommised Chev I would go to see his mum with him." Alyson said with apoligie in her voice.


She stood up and gathered her things. " I like your ideas. We'll have to talk some time." Alyson said as she gathered the last of her possions.



As she Walked inside and waved bye.
