Amelia Richardson stood from the comfortable couch, her Muggle step dad, Ray, sat at the computer, a cigarette in one hand and his eyes fixed apon the computer screen. She knew he was playing the stupid 'Poker Stars' computer game. He was addicted to that game. She rolled her icey blue eyes and looked about the room. The TV was, as usual, playing some dumb war movie that Ray always watched. She looked in the kitchen and felt confused. Where was Jay'Na? She bit her lip and walked to the hallway. The bedroom door was closed.
"Ray?" she asked, turned to the open doorway that led into the computer room. He watched the computer screen, taking another breath on his cigarette. Amelia glared, cocking a hip to one side and placing a hand on it.
"Ray?" she asked again. He grunted his reply. She sighed and looked up, annoyed already, "RAY!" she finally yelled at him. He looked up and glared.
"WHAT!?" Amelia sighed angrily. "Where's momma?" she asked to his un-needed outburst. He shrugged. She threw her hands up in exasperation, "You are unbelievable!" Jay'Na suddenly appeared, her eyes showing that she knew an arguement was about to happen.
"Why are you fighting?" she asked. Amelia sighed again, annoyed and angry.
"MOM WE'RE NOT FIGHTING!" she knew she shouldn't have yelled, but this was rediculous. The first thing that ever comes from her mother's mouth is 'why are you fighting?' 'why are you always fighting?' 'Don't start you two!'. It's never 'hey sweetie' or 'how was your day?' no... Amelia watched as Jay'Na's face suddenly turned red in anger and she started yelling. Amelia blocked out her mother's voice and turned, entering the living room yet again. Ray's voice suddenly joined in with Jay'Na's as they started to argue. Amelia grabbed the phone and punched in her friend Donny's number. His voice answered after two rings.
"Hey Don... will you pick me up? I need to get out of here," he seemed confused. At leats he was until Amelia held the reciever up so he could hear her parents screaming at one another. He agreed immidiatly. She hung up and walked into her room, slamming and locking the door. She then slipped off her pajamas, which she always wore all day long until she left the house, and put on her swimming suite. Then put on a pair of shorts and a blue tank top. Once her flip flops were on her feet, she took hold of her purse, brushed her mid-neck length caramel blonde hair. Donny's car horn sounded from the front of the house and Amelia left her room and was almost out the door when Jay'Na's voice stopped her.
"AMELIA! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?" Amelia sighed and turned. In her sweetest voice she said, "Out, momma," Jay'Na then started to protest, but Amelia was out the door. She shut the door and ran to Donny's small black car. She got in and ordered him to drive. He did. He asked where to go and Amelia shrugged, shutting her eyes and laying her head back.
"Let's go to the mall..." she said, her voice exasperated. This was the first time she had ever left the house without asking. Her heart beat furiously and bit her lip. Donny smiled at her and all worries suddenly faded. She smiled back and watched him as he sang to the rock song playing on the radio. His black hair and brown eyes reminding Amelia how much she liked him. She began to relax and was glad she had called him. They pulled into the parking lot of the mall and stepped out of the car. Amelia shook back her blonde hair and smelled in the sweet air of London. Donny pushed her to go forward and Amelia glared but then giggled as he smiled.
They walked inside, cool air pushing at her, Amelia and him flirting extensively. She was suddenly reminded of his girlfriend in less than ten minutes. He spoke of her often and that always put an angry look on her face, but she always hid it. She smiled and turned away, her eyes rolling. She gritted her teeth and looked at some shirts hanging on hangers on a metal stand. He went on and on about her for about five minutes, Amelia getting more and more jelouse. She started forward, walking into an art store, Donny following close behind.
She browsed through the pictures and small nick nacks, trying not to scream at the 17 year old to shut up about his stupid girlfriend! She took a deep breath and suddenly gasped as she ran into someone. She apologized immidiatly and stepped back. Her eyes widened as she realized who it was.

So far, the day had been the perfect day of the week. There was always a perfect day out of one week. Always. And there are times Jordan sometimes wondered why there always seemed to be that one perfect day. Of course, it didn't bother Jordan as to how there were perfect days, but not perfect weeks, or perfect months, or perfect years. Just perfect days. She would take what came her way without argument. There were things about turning 16 that made Jordan change who she was...she was still the happy-go-lucky girl she was, but she wasn't as hyper as she had been in her fifth year. Many said her change was for the worst- but she thought it as for the best, it was just something she needed to do.
"Jordan! Please, could you help me with these boxes!" Mara hollered from the entrance hall. Jordan stood from her yoga position on her yoga mat and walked over to her older sister, who had her hands full with boxes. They were empty for now- but they wouldn't be for long. Mara was moving out, finally, and Jordan was getting her large room; as compared to her small and dinky supposed to be den. She followed Mara up the stairs and into the room that needed to be packed; "Put 'em there, I'm almost finished. Just need to pack these up and I'll be ready." Jordan sighed, set the boxes down, and brushed a stray strand of brown hair away from her face. She couldn't believe her sister was really moving out of the Lehane household.
"So...you're really going, huh? I can't believe you're actually leaving. I always thought that you were going to live here forever..." Jordan told her softly as she leaned against the wall, watching Mara walk back and forth and pack things into her boxes. Mara smiled a small timid smile and looked at Jordan, as if missing her already; "I'll just be down the street..." She told Jordan wearily. Jordan was about to speak when all of a sudden Mara had pulled her into a hug. Jordan surrendered and hugged her back with a defeated sigh. Even though she was right, Jordan couldn't help but miss her...she wasn't going to have a big sister down the hall anymore. Instead she was down the street- five houses away.
"Well, um, just remember- I'm here for you if you need a place to get away from Kelly, ok?" Jordan said with a small chuckle. Kelly George was Mara's room-mate. She was one of the most annoying people Jordan had ever met, and being one of the top ten- annoying Jordan was rather hard. Mara laughed along with Jordan and started to pack again. Mara really wanted to get out of the house, maybe it was the friction between her parents and her- Jrodan didn't know, but she didn't want her to leave. Jordan sighed and nodded as she left the room, deciding to head to the mall. She had just recieved her liscence, and had gotten a silver volkswagon beatle- just good enough for her to drive. Jordan adored it, and today was the first day she was going to drive it.
She got into her car, turned the engine on and drove out of her parking space. Her music sounded, not to loud or to soft, in her car...a rock band. She liked rock music now and Jordan was singing along to it. She pulled into the parking lot of the Mall and found a space. As she was walking through the stores, Jordan began to think again. Jordan found her way to the art store, where she spent most of her time, and smiled at the familiarity of the store. When she was looking at a painting- some one bumped into her, and apologised, "No worries..." She said with a smile.

Amelia smiled at the girl who didn't seem bothered that she just rammed into her. She sighed and looked at Donny, a slight glare on her face. He looked taken aback and shrugged as if asking, 'what!?'. Amelia's icy blue eyes rolled and she turned back to the girl.
"No really, I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going..." she smiled and ran fingers through her short blonde hair, too aware of how close Donny was standing there. He put his hand on her shoulder and Amelia felt shivers run down her arm and her back.
"I'm Amelia, by the way," she said in a friendly tone. Donny shook her back and forth in a gesture to tell Amelia to introduce him also. Amelia rolled her eyes and sighed.
"This is Donny," she said in a bored tone. Donny gasped, looking hurt, "You don't need to know him..." she added, looking at him. He sighed and shook his head.
"Of course you need to know me!" he sounded hurt and pinched Amelia's arm.

It was another day in the same strange home. Liam was not used to staying in his aunt and uncle's home. Being the oldest child in the house, Liam had gotten to take his cousins room for the summer. The bed was uncomfortable to Liam, there were to many lumps and the room smelled of flowers because of his cousins perfume. Liam would have been much happier staying in the spare bedroom where there was no perfume to be smelled.
Once he had gotten changed, Liam headed down to the kitchen where his aunt and cousin were busy cooking for the entire family. When his aunt saw that he was in the kitchen, she called to him, "Liam get in here and help us." Liam rolled his eyes as his cousin looked at him and gave him a sign that his aunt saw. As she yelled at Liam's cousin, he said, "I'm sorry Aunt Liz, Marie, but I've got to run. I' gonna go down to the muggle mall and see if they can cut my hair."
As Liam rushed out the back door, his aunt yelled something at him that he could not make out. Liam ran up the streets to where the muggle bus stopped. As he waited for the bus to arrive, Liam counted the money in his pocket to make sure he had enough with him to get all the way to the rail staion. When the bus finally stopped in front of him, Liam stepped up and paid the fee. Liam walked to the back and took a seat, keeping his hand on his wand that he stuck in his pants pocket.
After about fifteen minutes, the bus stopped at Liam's destination. Liam stepped down and onto the sidewalk, where he looked for the underground rail station. Once he found it, he walked down the steps and paid the ticket master. Liam stepped through the turnstyle and on to the train. LIam rode the train all the way to the mall's train station. Liam walked up the steps and into the mall. Liam found a map of the building and looked for the nearest place to get his hair cut.
As Liam walked through the mall, he saw many different stores that he thought he would stop in after he got his hair cut. Liam finally reached the barbershop and walked up to the counter. Seeing as there was an empty chair, the man told him to sit down while he cut his hair. Liam sat still as the man trimmed his hair to the desired length. Once he was done, Liam paid the man and headed back down the mall. Liam felt the desire to stop in an art store. Liam walked around the showroom looking at all the different muggle artworks, when he accidently ran into a group of people who were talking with each other. Liam quickly said, "Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." Liam raised his eyebrow at the girls and asked, "Do I know you? You look familiar."

"It's alright, I shouldn't be standing in the middle of the aisle." Jordan reassured her again with another smile. Sometimes being as sweet as she was sickened her. Jordan giggled as the two bickered slightly. She held out her hand for each to shake and said, "I'm Jordan Lehane." A sickeningly sweet smile spred across her lips and she ran her fingers through her hair. She was about to say something more when someone else ran into them.
Jordan rolled her eyes at the circumstances, but the smile remained on her face, "Everyone seems to be running into everyone today. Maybe they should make these aisles wider, eh?" Jordan smiled a small smile but it faded into a thinking frown when the boy asked if he knew them from soemwhere. Jordan shook her head slowly, "I don't think so. I don't think I have ever met you before...maybe you've met her?" Jordan pointed to Amelia. She shrugged and looked back up at the painting.

Amelia half smiled, half laughed as the girl held out both hands to shake. Donny eagerly took her right hand and shook it, acting all excited. Amelia rolled her eyes and shook the girl's left hand. She introduced herself and Amelia smiled a bit wider but not a full smile. The girl was about to say something more when a boy bumped into Jordan. Jordan rolled her eyes, a huge smile on her face. Amelia raised an eyebrow... wow she was happy... Amelia turned to the boy, who seemed to know them. She wasn't certain but he looked like a boy Amelia had seen at Hogwarts, now that she thought about it, so did Jordan.
"Uh... I don't know..." she didn't say anything about Hogwarts, just incase they were Muggles. Amelia noticed the boy was holding onto something in his pocket. She was suddenly too conscious of her wand inside her purse. She smiled, awkwardly.

Liam smiled at the group of people, trying to be as kind appearing as possible. He wasn't sure if he had seen them before, but he wasn't about to let go of his wand just incase something happened. "My name's Liam, Liam Angelus," Liam replied as kindly as possible. "I could have sworn I knew you from school, but I guess it's just me." Liam nodded his head and looked at the boy who was with the girls before he reached out to shake their hands.
Liam turned around to the girl who was now staring at one of the paintings on display. "I wonder how they do it," Liam said as he examined the painting. To him the way muggles did things was an odd thing to see. Liam was used to having everything done by magic, but these muggle painters had no magic whatsoever. "It looks like nothing I've seen before."

Amelia raised an eyebrow at the boy. Liam was his name? She looked at Donny who matched her own expression. He was marveling at a painting. Amelia's eyes suddenly widened. He was a wizard. She glanced at Jordan, was she a wizard. Amelia bit her lip.
"Well... maybe you do know me from school..." she said, hinting about Hogwarts strongly, "What school do you go to?" She wanted to know if he was a wizard or not...
Donny tapped her shoulder and whispered, "why?" Amelia shook her head in a gesture that meant 'Not now'.

Liam was deeply interested in the muggle art work, so interested that he did not notice what was going on around him. It wasn't until he heard the girl named Amelia ask him what school he went to that he remembered where he was.
Liam looked around him before he looked at the girl. Slowly and quietly, Liam started, "I go to Hog..." Liam cut off before he finished speaking. He leaned close to the girl so that nobodyelse heard him. Again he spoke, "I go to Hogwarts. If it means anything to you I'm in Gryffindor house."

Amelia was a bit startled that the boy leaned in closer and whispered something. It took her a moment of shock to realize what he said. Hogwarts? She felt blank for a moment then it dawned on her. Her eyes widened and gasped, looking at Liam. He did go to Hogwarts. She glanced at Jordan again before she spoke.
"You do?" she whispered in an urgent voice. Donny grabbed her shoulder and leaned in between Liam and Amelia.
"What's going on?" he asked his face excited. Amelia sighed and elbowed him in the side. He made an 'oof' sound and was suddenly gone from sight as he stumbled back a few steps. Amelia giggled instantly.
"I go there too," she said, a smile still on her lips from the giggling.

Liam nodded his head yes when Amelia asked if he really did go to Hogwarts. "Yeah I do," he managed to say before a boy nudged his way into the conversation. Liam looked at him, wanting to but a jinx on the boy. Never in his life had somebody had the nerve to butt in on a conversation that he was having.
"He's a muggle isn't he?" Liam asked after Amelia shoved him out of the way. Liam wouldn't be surprised if he was because of the way he had acted.
"You do? I thought so, what house are you in?" Liam asked. "Does she go there to?" Liam said motioning toward Jordan.

Jordan was always amazed by art, because she was never as talented as some artists. Though she did draw as often as possible, but they were never that good. She was actually listening to the two others conversation but she didn't decide to tell them she attended Hogwarts as well. Instead she looked at the older boy, Donny, out of the corner of her eye, "Find out what they're whispering about yet?" She asked.
She turned to the boy and smiled, "How old are you? I swear, you act like a 5 year old I baby-sit." Jordan ran her fingers through her hair. She could still hear the other conversation, but still didn't respond.

As Donny stumbled back, Amelia was ablivious to Jordan walking over and ignoring her and Liam. She felt suddenly excited. Metting another wizard at a Muggle mall in the middle of London on a perfectly normal day, was... well, rare. She smiled, her excitment making her slightly hyper almost instantly. "Gryffindor!" she said in an enthusiastic whisper, she stood up straighter, her back starting to ache from leaning forward for so long. She put a hand on her back and stetched real quick, motioning for him to walk a bit to the side so that Jordan and Donny couldn't hear. "What house are you in?" she asked as Donny turned to Jordan. ~*~ Donny looked at the girl with a shocked look, his brown eyes wide and almost deer like. He smiled, couldn't keep the strange face straight anymore as he was only doing for laughs anyway. He shrugged at her question. "I don't know half the things she talks about anyway," he smiled slyly looking at Amelia talking with the Liam boy. He turned to Jordan, another joking look on his face. It was completely blank, void of any emotion or anything as he stared into Jordan's eyes. He was usually called strange, weird, and many other things along those lines because of his joking manner. He couldn't help but laugh at her comment. Yes he did act much, MUCH younger than he really was. He nodded, his smile large. "Yes, I know..." he sighed, leaning against the wall, looking back at Amelia, sighing and yawning with sudden boredom. This was boring...

Liam stood straight up as Amelia did the same. He tried not to show his excitement in running into another Hogwarts student. He hadn't seen so many outside of school in any of his summer holidays.
Liam followed Amelia a little away from the other two and said, "Didn't I already say? Well, I'm in Gryffindor too. Who is that guy anyway, he is rather nosey?" Liam looked back over at the boy and shook his head. "He is a muggle, isn't he?"

Amelia smiled. She couldn't help it. Donny was the silliest, craziest Muggle in the whole world of Muggles... yet, she couldn't help but find him irresistable. She was head over heals... but circumstances forbid her to be with him. She sighed mentally and shook her head, a slight smile on her plush lips. He was in Gryffindor, too eh? She felt rather puzzled at that.
"Well if you're in Gryffindor, too then why haven't we met before?" she asked, her eyes were puzzled and she didn't undertand, unless he was younger or older, but he didn't seem older than her. She motioned to Donny.
"And... well, yes he is a Muggle... Biggest Muggle ever, acually," she giggled yet again, "He's silly and crazy and just funny, hilarious really. A bit nosey when it comes my conversations... yeah,"

Jordan crossed her arms and raised her eyebrow at him; "So...why do you act that way? It's amusing, really, but aren't there times to be serious...? You're certainly pretty serious right about now..." She smiled out of the corner of her lips, and kept one eye on the other two. Who seemed to be talking to eachother, this time further apart. She wasn't sure whether or not she should tell them her Hufflepuff ways, and the fact she was porbably a year or two higher than both of them.
But she didn't. Jordan sighed and shook her bangs out of her eyes as she watched those two, then went back to Donny.

Donny shrugged, a smile on his lips. He didn't know why he acted so silly, so 'weird'. Maybe it was for the attention, maybe for the laughs, maybe so certain girls would notice him. But no matter the reason, this was him. The true him. Crazy and wild, funny and strange. These were perfect words to describe him. He could be serious if he wanted, yes and did so on many occasions, but usually he liked the attention he got when he acted silly.
"I do it to be amusing, I s'pose," he answered, "I like to be serious once in a while... but I love to be silly and crazy more. The attention is much enjoyed by me," he smiled down at her.

"Well, I'm a forth year," Liam said. "But other than that I can not think of why." Liam was sure that was the reason why she had never seen him before. But he never spent much time talking with many of the other students since his grandfather had gotten ill.
"Yeah, well, it does seem to be rather annoying at times," Liam said as he looked toward the boy. "But it might be a good break from the normal times. He's a bit like my cousin."

She nodded, knowing that was why she had never met Liam. He was a year below and she usually only conversed with her own year, not that she was rude to the younger years, only didn't talk with them much. She shrugged.
"I think that's why we never met, though. I usually don't talk with younger years," she smiled, hoping he understood that she wasn't rude to other years. She nodded, rolling her eyes.
"Yes it is very rude sometimes, but he means well... I think he just wants to make everyone laugh," she smiled again, "Or love him to death,"
