So this was where muggles bought their books. through Rowen as he walked down one of the rows dragging his fingers along the spins of the books. He had never been in a muggle bookstore before, books were always delivered at the orphanage. But this Muggle family who decided to take him in thought it was important for him to understand something about the land of the magic-less. It wasn't that he actually had anything against people with out magic, he was just glad he didn't have to live that way, even if his new family thought it would be some grand adventure. They were like that though. Some overly enthusiastic, lets make the world a better place, over populated family. Over populated being the most realistic, there were too many of them to even begin to learn one from any other, and on top of it, there were twins that looked the same no matter what anyone tried to tell him about their differences.
He continued to walk, his fingers pressing harder into the books as he set his jaw, his gaze focused down toward the floor in front of his feet. He was frustrated, and the more he thought about it, the worse his mood was getting. Before he knew it, he heard a loud thud, and he kicked something with his left foot. He had knocked a book off the shelves, and sent it flying into a small reading area at the end of the row. He stayed sill for a moment, deciding if he really did want to retrieve it, before finally sighting loudly and walking into the reading area to find what he had misplaced.

Hayden and her mother were walking around the wonderful streets of London. It was a rather sunny and warm outside, and Hayden smiled as the sun shined down, upon her blonde hair, making it almost gleam and sparkle. She smiled as she semi-skipped around the streets, licking her chocolate ice cream cone, that she held in her hands. They had just visited her favorite ice cream shop just a few minutes ago.
She had stayed pretty quiet, as her and her mother walked from shop to shop, just running a couple of errands. Once she had consumed her ice cream, however, she was talking just as hyper, fast, and as much as she always had.
They soon walked into a bookstore, and Hayden and her mom split up, as her mother went to shop around for things, and Hayden decided to look around a bit as well. She soon decided on a nice little chapter book, and walked over to a small reading section. She sat down on one of the bean bag chairs, and starting reading.
She had her nose into the book, and was really getting into it. She jumped when a book came flying right past her ear, and landed a little ways away from her. She stared at the book strangely, and noticed a boy coming over and picking up the book. Hayden smiled when she noticed that the boy looked about her age. Since the boy was just a little ways away from her, she didn't need to stand up, so she stayed sitting and said, "Hey! I'm Hayden." She then extended her hand to the boy, with a smile on her face.

He walked steadily closer to the reading area, knowing full well there would be muggles there, reading and doing whatever else the magic-less do. As he entered the small cove of chairs he was suddenly greeted by a far to friendly girl. He didn't like friendly people, they always pushed for friendship and social encounters and he wanted none of either. He had other thing to do with his time, and there was no way he was letting anyone tag along with him as he went about his day.
He flashed her a rather unfriendly, narrow eyed look before he responded, "Down a notch there little girl." His remark had just escaped his mouth when he leaned over and picked up the book. He held it in his hand for a moment, glaceing down at the cover. It was some young adult fiction novel he had no interest in.
It was a long moment before he looked up and at the girl again, and he wondered briefly if she was offended at his first words to her. Maybe he was being hard on her, even if she was too friendly for her own good. "I'm Rowen."

The boy had looked at her, after Hayden had introduced herself, and he had told her to down herself a notch. Hayden was a bit stumped at what the boy had said. 'Down what notch?' she aksed herself. Then she had remembered that her older brother had told her to do along the same lines, at times when she was a bit too hyper. But she wasn't being too hyper, she had just introduced herself. The boy had seemed a bit mean to Hayden, but she decided to let it go once he had introduced himself. He had introduced himself as Rowen Kerr. "Hi Rowen." she said, not hyper at all. She decided that if the boy didn't like her hyperness very well, Hayden dediced that she should try not to be that hyper. Besides, she wasn't always hyper, and she didn't want people to think that she was always like that. "So, what are you doing here?" she asked. "I'm here with my mom. I think that she's trying to look for something, but I'm not quite sure..."

The right side of his face tensed up at her question, making his eye narrow and wrinkles form around his mouth. What? Like she didn't know what. She was the one who answered like it was Christmas and he was Santa. Who had energy like that. Besides he was a total stranger. For all she knew he worked for the dark side. No. He stopped himself for a moment. He was in the muggle world now, and she was probably some innocent little muggle girl who didn't know what she was in for. "Too much energy." he finally said bluntly before he threw the book he held into his hands onto a table near by, taking no effort to be careful. "And considering this is a bookstore, I am probably shopping for a book. Either that or I have no sense of direction and got my self very lost."
The tension in his face had eased away, but his hard gaze on her remained. What was it with little girls having the energy of some well loved puppy. It was like they didn't know what life could really be like, instead they lived in their sheltered little worlds where everything was taken care of for them.
