Trinity sat anxiously in compartment eighteen, the friends she had made over the year laughing around her. Her long red hair was in perfect curls and her make-up was glossing gracefully over her face. She was wearing black gaucho pants, a white sequined tank and a black shrug along with her black beaded Indian moccasins. Looking a bit closer you could see her beaded dangled earrings hanging just above her shoulders and the glossy shine on her long fingernails. A smile seemed to be permanently adorning her face since she awoke that morning, she was finally going home to see her father. She had missed him so much and to see his face again would be like a glimpse of heaven for her.
Her cat Oliver was sleeping silently in the shelf above, clueless as to where they were going, more interested in sleep than anything. Trinity sat twiddling her fingers anxiously and look out the window as the trees and bushes passed by. She was oblivious to the chat and laughter of her friends discussing their summer plans. The day seemed to be drawling on forever, but it wasn't that late because the trolley carrying treats and food hadn't even come by yet.
Trinity was not only ecstatic about seeing her father and excited to see her mother, she was also nervous about seeing her brother. She usually managed getting through the school year, only running into him once or twice... but during the summer there was no way to avoid him. Although she knew nothing was ever going to get better between them, she still had a tiny light of hope that her brother would one day stop detesting her and love her like an old brother should love a sister. She knew that he hated her because of her close relationship with her father... but it wasn't her fault that he never chose to develop a relationship with their father. However, it was her fault that she believed pure blood was the same whether it was a Slytherin or Ravenclaw. She sighed heavily and rested her hand on her head, being careful not to flatten her curls. Her smile began to wither from her face and a deep frown took its place.
It was a short thirty minutes later that the trolley arrived, carrying with it sweets and foods of all kinds. Trinity decided not to get anything, her stomach wasn't feeling well and she knew that her addiction to chocolate wouldn't help any. Her friends, however, began to pig out on all the delicious delicacies. She smiled and watched her friends contently chowing down and laughing about things that had happened over the school year. She began to relax again and the same excited feeling returned to her. They were almost there...
