Karlie landed on the hard, cold ground in front of the house and smoothly dismounted her broom. She was dressed in muggle attire and wearing a shirt sporting the Emery logo. 'Good thing I nicked this from Filch's office...' she thought as she pulled of the invisibility cloak. She brushed her flowing brown hair out of her eyes and strolled up the pathway. She grabbed the knocker and hit it against the door three times. She then sat waiting for Padme to answer.

Today, Padme was going to go to a muggle concert with a fellow Slytherin in Jack's year. She smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. She added a bit of eyeliner and then set off down the stairs at a run. She was wearing muggle clothing; a plaid skirt and a blue blouse. Her hair was up in the usual unique bun. Landing on the last step with a thud, Padme looked around at her apartment. Her parents weren't here at the moment. That left her the only one in the house. She wasn't sure if it was the greatest idea to leave, but they weren't going to be back until tomorrow morning and concerts surely don't last that long. Padme sat down in a nearby chair and started tapping her foot impatiently, waiting for Karlie, the girl she was meeting, to come to her house. All Padme knew was that they were going to walk together to the concert; she had no idea how Karlie was getting to her house.
Finally, a knock sounded through the house and Padme stood up and walked briskly to the door. She opened it and saw the older girl looking back at her. Padme glanced at her clothes with raised eyebrows. "What took so long? I thought you would be here early!" Padme looked around and saw a broom on her front porch. "What the hell is that doing here? You didn't ride here, did you?" Padme laughed at the mere thought. No one would ride here unless they wanted to be seen. Padme smirked at the girl and then smoothed her skirt before speaking in a bored voice. "Shall we get going then? I don't want to stand out here forever."

Karlie tapped impatiently, her foot keeping tune with the ticking of her watch as she waited for Padme to answer the door. The Firebolt, new as it was, had seemed rather slow to her today... mostly because of her own excitement, and they were running late already. When the door finally opened there stood a younger girl, looking at her with raised eyebrows. "What took you so long? I thought you would be here early!"she squealed with panic in her voice. Karlie, however, was to busy smirking at the girls outfit to notice her panic. It was obvious that she had never been to a muggle concert before, that skirt would never cut it in the wild mosh pits they were headed for. "What the hell is that doing here? You didn't ride here, did you?" the girl sneered with a laugh. "Indeed I did." she replied with a cold look, dangling the cloak in front of her face with a sneer. "I'm not a fool you know!" She gave the younger girl a look that dared her to utter another word, she was simply not in the mood to bicker just now. "Shall we get going then? I don't want to stand out here forever." the girl replied, sounding rather bored already.
"Yes but first I need to put these in your house while we go." she answered in a matter of fact tone, and gave a quick nod to indicate her cloak and broom. As she stepped into the house she began rambling on in her usual bragging voice, "you see this Firebolt was a rather expensive gift from my father and he'd be most upset if it was stolen, I trust it is safe here...?" She stored her things inside, "Not that it couldn't be replaced, I just dont want to take the time" Karlie said before she turned to look at Padme's skirt in amusement. "You're honestly planning on wearing that skirt tonight? That's not a very smart decision.... trust me." she advised with a hint of amusement in her tone. She remembered her first concert... she too had chosen to wear a skirt... and it hadn't been pretty to say the least. "Well..." she said critically, waiting for the girl to respond.

Padme noticed the girl was looking at her outfit. Padme smirked to herself; she loved to be the show of the party. Once the girl spoke, however, Padme instantly liked her. A true Slytherin. Padme loved people like herself. She put on a sickly sweet smile before replying to the girl's comment about not being a fool. "Really? You have yet to prove that." Padme sneered harshly at the girl. She couldn't help but look interested in the invisibility cloak; those were really rare. She moved her glance back at the girl. She was know saying that she would have to store her stuff. Padme led her into the house. "You can put it anywhere then." she told the girl carelessly while inspecting her finger nails. She perked up when Karlie started talking about her Firebolt.
"Very nice. You see, my parents didn't give me one; they are far to busy. My friend, a Slytherin fifth year who goes by the name of Big Sis' got me one. I'm a favorite of the Holden sisters." Padme said with pride. "No, it won't be taken, of course. I wouldn't leave my own Firebolt here if it wasn't." She said in a voice that indicated, how dumb can you get? She smirked at the girl when she asked if she was going to wear her skirt. "Obviously, yes. Why else would I be wearing it?" Padme voice changed as she suddenly became an inkling worried. She didn't let it show through, though. "Why shouldn't I wear one? Surely skirts are allowed at concerts like these?" Padme raised her eyebrows, waiting for a reply. Padme, being a ignorant pureblood, had never had any intentions to go to a muggle music concert. Being unable to know what to wear, Padme had worn the usual. Staring at the girl with her cold honey-brown eyes, Padme started tapping her foot once again.

Karlie raised her eyebrows, partly in amusement partly in shock, as Padme told her she had yet to prove herself. "You are aware, deary, that you are the one here who should be 'proving herself'. Being a first year your lucky I give you the time of day..." she sneered. Karlie actually wasn't even sure herself why she had invited the girl. It probably had something to do with the fact that most wizards, especially slytherins, would never go to a muggle concert... especially one of this sort. Karlie on the other hand had a great love for muggle music. You see she loved the raw talent muggle musicians had and admired how they created such wonderful music without magic.
Karlie began humming "Weasley Is Our King" out of boredom as the girl went on about her firebolt. Did this girl really think she cared if she was favorites with whoever she was babbling about? She began to tap her nails impatiently to show the girl that she was neither impressed or interested. Hoping that she would stop babbling, Karlie inquired about her skirt and waited for her reply.
Karlie gave a small snort of laughter at Padme's question of skirts being allowed. "Well of course they're allowed," she said with a smirk, "But not really advised. You see, we're about to go into a mosh pit... you know wild kicking and flying limbs. When someone falls down in one of those... they grab whatever they can to pull themselves back up. Too many times I've seen a good girl de-skirted." Karlie smiled in amusement remembering the looks of horror that often accompanied the de-skirting. "But by all means, if you want to be humiliated be my guest we can go right now..."

Padme smirked at the girl. "Believe me, I have my own precious time and right now you're ruining it with useless stuff. Your lucky I let you give me the time of your day. Who knows if I even want it. You should be the one who is proving that you are worthy of my company, because I'm better than you." Padme declared with a sneer, daring the girl to disagree. Padme heard a humming noise while she was talking and she smiled; if she was boring the girl maybe she should go on. She smirked at the idea and was about to do so when Padme caught a tune of the song Karlie was humming. Raising her eyebrows to full extent. She didn't know that song, but she knew that her brother had sung it before. She decided not to mention it and then smiled at the girl.
"No need to be jealous, Karlie. You know I'll be a better Slytherin then you and have even more connections." Padme laughed slightly and then smirked at the girl. She knew that she was going in an odd direction, but Padme enjoyed getting into people's skin. It was one of her talents. Smirking evilly, Padme inspected her nails once again, utterly bored. When the girl mentioned the de-skirting, Padme uttered a small laugh.
"Fine, you've got me on that one. I'm going to go change, wait here." Padme walked up the stairs and grabbed a pair of jeans with a stud belt. Once changed, she walked back down the stairs to face Karlie. She smirked again before holding open the door for Karlie. "Please, be my guest and get out of my house so we can go to this...mosh pit, did you call it?" Once Karlie was out of the door, Padme closed the door behind her with a snap and turned to look at her. "Lead the way." she said, pointedly looking down the street.

Karlie glared at the young girl as she rudely pushed her out the door. Immediately she turned and snapped disgustingly at the girl, "I do believe I have made a mistake," she said cooley, "Move out of my way, I know someone who would be much more appreciative of a free concert ticket... one who actually attends Hogwarts." Karlie pushed the girl out of the way and opened the door, stepping angrily towards her broom. She grabbed her things, whirling the invisibility cloak over her body and storming outside to get onto her broom.
"I believe you have severely over estimated yourself," Karlie snapped, "I don't have to do anything with you, especially lend my time and money." Karlie took the hood of the invisibility cloak off momentarily to let the young girl see her disgust with her, "You may want to think your attitude over before you try driving in the passenger seat." Karlie covered her face with the cloak and left the girl standing on the ugly front lawn of her torn down shack.
((Karlie has left this post and does not want to post with your character. You have completely over estimated yourself, seeing that you don't even attend Hogwarts yet. The tickets were Karlie's and she doesn't have to waste them on someone as ungrateful as yourself. Sorry to have wasted my time.))

Padme watched as the girl suddenly blew up with satisfaction. Karlie grabbed her belongings and started talking; Padme wasn't really listening. She then disappeared from sight, which was probably due to the invisibility cloak. She smirked and waved at no one in particular. She had loved this. She had gotten what she had wanted. Anger. Not that she didn't want to go with her to the concert, but if people didn't like her than they weren't worth her time, so it was a good thing that Karlie had left after all. Sighing happily, Padme sat down in a chair on her porch and began to sing the song that Karlie had been humming. Or parts of it, anyway. The only parts she knew was the parts she had heard from her. Smirking with satisfaction still, Padme stepped into her house and laid down on the couch, falling asleep instantly. ((That's fine. This is the way Padme acts and considering she has never been to a muggle concert she wasn't even sure exactly what it was. If you don't want to post with dear Padme, than that is fine too. This is how she is, she doesn't care if people are older or bigger than her. No need to say sorry. )
