Maddie awoke at about 11:30, she's a very heavy and late sleeper, and instantly fell off the bed with a loud 'Thud!' "Crap!" she muttered to herself. "I really gotta stop doing that." She stood up, and went over to her mirrior. Her hair was a mess, and she literally screamed at how bad her face looked. Well, at least, she thought it looked back. It's all part of that teen girl thing. She rushed to the bathroom, took a shower, and got ready for the day.
She searched through her dresser for something to wear. She pulled out, dark, blue jean, faded shorts, and her favorite baby blue tank top that said, "Brunettes will break your heart". She brushed her hair, and put on a little bit of makeup, and then looked at herself, "Good enough." she assured herself, as she headed out of her room.
She didn't feel like eating at home so she decided to go somewhere else to eat. "Bye mom! I'm going out!" she called as she grabbed her purse and walked out the house. She walked for a while, until she found her destination, a small "coffee" shop. It didn't have just coffee though, it had donuts, pastries, and all other kinds of thing. She sat down at a table and waited. She had told her friends, Mack and Jack, to meet her here, so she would have something to do for the day.

"Don't walk out on me Mackenzie!" The booming voice of Derreck Holden thundered throughout the house, making the walls shake, and the house elves quiver in fear. They had also had the pleasure of suffering from their master's wrath. The little orange fleshed elves scurried out of his way as he stalked down towards his daughter's room. The floor would collapse if it wasn't held up magically. Mack sat on her bed, looking through a magazine and waited paitently for the man to come and start the arguing. Within seconds- the door flew open, nearly off its hinges; and Derreck stepped in. His arms were crossed over his chest and his nostrils were flaring with anger. She had done it this time, but all Mack could do was smirk and look up with a raised eyebrow.
"And to what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting from the King of the house?" She asked with a thick sarcastic drawl pouring from her voice. She looked at his nose, and sure enough the nostrils flared again. Mack couldn't help but giggle, but soon realised her fatal mistake. In an instant she had been back handed and sent flying across the room, hitting the wall, and crashing into the night stand. The lamp, which had been perched neatly on the stand, crashed to the floor and split into a million pieces. Mack shuddered, but didn't cry. She wouldn't let him see her cry. She stood, her knees threatening to give, and looked at her father with deadly venom in her eyes. Derreck stood there, his eyes red and his fists clenched; daring her to do the next shot. Mack's eyes flittered to his back pocket- seeing his wand sticking out of the back, she decided it wasn't worth it.
"It's sad when you have to resort to beating your child, because you can't find a suitable enemy." Mack heard her voice say, but she hadn't wanted to say it. Before she could take back her words, there was a mind splitting crack to her skull; and she was sent reeling to the back of her room. Her head thumped against the wall, and she slid down- wanting to sleep. She felt blood oozing from her mouth, and she was pretty sure she might have a concussion. No time to think about that... She thought as she closed her eyes, pretending to have passed out. She heard the retreating footsteps of her father leaving her room, the door closing, and being locked. And the grunt of Derreck as he went back downstairs. Her eyes popped open and she stood, looked around her room and knew what she had to do.
Ten minutes later; she threw the knotted bed sheet out the window and climbed down it. Her shoulderbag banging against her side. The clothes, money, and little bit of food most likely being disturbed. She jumped the little part that the sheet didn't reach the ground at, and ran as fast as she could; away from that house. Her breathing was becoming irregular, but she didn't stop. She didn't dare stop. She continued to run until she got into town- it was then she sat down at the bus station and waited for the next one into London. Where she was certain she would find someone she knew. The bus pulled up and Mack got on, payed her token, and then took a seat. Still wanting to sleep. But still not daring to.
The bus pulled up and stopped, this was it. She got out, and walked over to the Tea and Coffee shop she had told Maddie and Jack she would meet them at. Her feet were hurting now, and she was still bleeding. Mack wiped at her mouth and entered the shop, looking around for her friends. It wasn't too long when she spotted Maddie, plastered a smile on her lips, and walked over; "Hey." She said, but winced at the pain.

Maddie sat for a while waiting, she had ordered herself a hot chocolate. She sipped at it, and read her book, for a while. "I wonder where they are?" she asked herself.
Soon, she saw Mack come in, and Maddie motioned for her over to her table. When she walked over, and Maddie got a good look at her, she was shocked! She looked as though she was in really bad pain, and her head was bleeding. "Definitly not good." she told herself.
"What happened?!" she asked, concerned. Maddie began thinking, what Mack could've been doing to get hurt so badly. Or, what could've done it. But, what if it's not a something, it's a someone? "How did that to you?" she asked again. She then began thinking of how would do it. She knew that she had really bad problems with her family, especially her father, but he wouldn't go that far, would he? Maddie suddenly looked up at her friend. "Don't tell me your father did this." she paused for a moment. "Did he?"

Bobby ran around Jack's room frantically, looking for all of his things. Jack was looking on the other side of the room, occasionally throwing something worth using over his back. "Found anything yet, Bobby?" He asked his servant, but he knew it was useless. Bobby shook his head and continued the search. Jack was going to get away from home for a few days, and he needed a back-pack full of things to bring. Bobby was helping him, since they had discovered a odd friendship, Bobby was always helping Jack with things. He sighed heavily and turned to look at the things piled together behind him. He shook his head but nodded at Bobby.
'That's good, Bob. Don't worry about it." Bobby still looked worried, but he did as Jack had told him. He grabbed a back-pack and tossed it over to Jack. Jack started throwing things into the bag. He had to get away from the Rendel manor before his father got back from a special meeting of some sort. Jack knew it would all prove horrible if Roger came home. He picked up the stuffed bag and slung it on his back. "Thanks, Bobby." The servant nodded and then looked around. A small crack sounded from downstairs; Roger was home.
"Damn!" Jack swore a little too loud.
"No time for that, sir. You must go if you still wish to-" Pounding footsteps broke of Bobby's words. Roger sounded short-tempered, which wasn't good news for the two boys. Jack took one look at Bobby's frightened face and then said something he would have never thought he would say before.
"Come with me, Bob. You can't stand the wrath of my father all alone. I won't let you." Jack gave the boy a small push but Bobby, who was around eighteen, didn't budge. "Go, sir." He whispered. Jack nodded and opened the door quickly, and started down the stairs. Hopefully, his father was taking the other staircase. Jack jumped a couple steps and landed on the third floor platform. A sudden roar that didn't sound human came from above Jack. Oh, no. What to do? What to do? Jack knew it was useless to run from Roger now. He waited as Roger thundered down the stairs.
"You-you," Roger sputtered with rage. "Me. Me." Jack mocked with a sneer. He knew what would come. A fist came down across Jack's face, a crack sounded through the air. Jack fell back toward the wall, his cheek already swelling. He covered it with his hand so Roger wouldn't see and then stepped forward to meet him. "That was a good hit, father. But, if I do say so, age must be catching up with you. Or maybe your to afraid that I will run away and ruin the Rendel name?" Without waiting for an answer, Jack ran down the last three floors and out the door, Roger close behind.
It would have looked hysterical if someone had drove by. A young boy with a backpack on his back running from a grown man. Jack even laughed to himself, even though he knew he was in a severe situation. Soon, the train station was in view. He slipped through the door easily and then watched as the train he was supposed to take start moving. The doors were still open but closing slowly. Jack jumped into it just as the door closed. Roger's angry face appeared by the window; he was pounding against the door. Jack opened the window slightly so he could speak to him.
"Adios, Senor!" Jack shouted happily. Soon, Roger was out of site. Jack sighed and leaned against the seat. He fell asleep almost instantly, but woke up when the train stopped. He grabbed his bag and stepped out of the train into the sunshine. His cheek was black and blue and swelling slightly. He grimaced and then saw the shop his friends should be in. He opened the door and looked around. He spotted the brunette and blonde and headed over there.
"Hey," he said, the sparkle that was usually in his blue eyes had gone out. He could barely see out of his left eye from the hit. He could tell Mack had had a rough time too. "I just exited hell. If you haven't noticed." He grinned and motioned toward his face. "Anyone know any healing charms? I don't think I could heal myself."

Mack waved at her face, "This is nothing. I'll live. Unlike some people. Jack?" She looked at her friend, serious concern on her face. She pushed him lightly into a seat and brought her bag up onto the table. Mack ruffled through it and sighed, "COnsidering we can't do magic outside of school, and we're in a muggle shop- it's probably best to do this the old fashioned way." She pulled out some gauze, peroxide and an ice pack.
"What did you do to piss him off so much?" She asked him, wincing. But not because of her pain but because of his. Mack dabbed at his eye and tried her best not to make it sting too mcuh. She knew how much pain he was in, she knew worse pain and she didn't want to make it unbearable. Mack locked eyes with Jack for a moment, and noticed something was missing immediately. She tried to smile a reassuring smile but all she gave off was a grimace. She finished cleaning the hit, and handed Jack the ice pack, "Just hold it on there for a little while." She told him softly, then she sat down and looked at Maddie.
"Nice start to a day,eh?" Mack raised her eyebrow and waved over a waitress, "Can we get some fries please? Thanks." And then her attention was back on her friends, that mischevious smile on her face; "So what's in store for today?"

Maddie raised her eyebrows, when Mack said that her injury was nothing. "O... k." Maddie said awkwardly. Maddie watched as Jack walked into the shop. He looked like he was in pain as well. "Man," she started to the both of them. "What is wrong with your dads? Are they both crazed men or something like that?" she asked, laughing slightly. She watched as Mack helped Jack with his face. 'Why does she even have that stuff in her bag?' she thought to herself. Why did she have things like those in her bag? Well, if Maddie had a father like her, she probably would too. Maddie was glad that she didn't have a father like that. Sure, her father was a Death Eater, but he was still a good father. Luckily, Maddie won't have to become a Death Eater when she gets older, there hasn't been any female ones in the Kenacheak family, and there's probably never going to be. Although, she would sort of like to follow in her father's footsteps, she wasn't quite sure what she wanted at the moment, but she was fine the way she was.
After Mack was finished, she turned back to Maddie and made a comment on how good the day had started. Of course she was being sarcastic, and Maddie laughed. She then asked what's in store for them today. "Well," Maddie replied, giving it some thought. "I was thinking a little shopping," at this, she turned to Jack, to see what he thought of shopping, 'cause when you do it with girls, well, at least Maddie, you spend like five hours in there! "Ice skating, roller blading, swimming, hanging in the park, umm... anything that sounds good I guess." she said with a laugh.

Jack gave Mack a nod. "I will survive, don't worry about that. I've had worse." He tried to smile but failed miserably. "Yeah, you're right. I forgot about the no magic thing." He sighed but let Mack put some medicine on the hit. It stung but Jack's face didn't falter into a grimace: he just waited for it to be done. "Pissed off? Well, he's probably pissed because I was around him." Jack joked, even though it was probably true. He didn't mention this to Mack, who was still blurry because of his messed up vision. He didn't bother to ask what had happened to her. He could guess that. He took the ice pack gratefully and held it to his beat-up face.
"No, not a great day at all." He raised his eyebrows at shopping however. "I'm not to crazy on that idea, but food sounds good for now." Jack sighed and heaved the backpack onto the floor. He thought about poor Bobby, who would probably be getting an even worse beating than Jack had. He shook his head and then looked at Madison in confusion. "Ice skating? Roller blading? What is that?" His bewildered look turned into a laugh. "Another muggle thing?" He laughed lightly as the waitress gave them the fries they ordered. He took a handful and popped them into his mouth. They tasted great, and the salty taste made Jack remember rain for some odd reason. He shook his head and continued to eat the (fries did she call them?) in silence.

Maddie saw Jack raise his eyebrows at the shopping idea, and said he wasn't too up for that one. Maddie laughed, she doubted that he would be anyways. "OK, maybe just a little bit of shopping?" she asked him innocently, trying to reason with him.
She watched as he looked a bit confused about the ice skating and roller blading idea, and asked if it was another muggle thing. Maddie laughed too, and replied with, "Yep. I know it's a muggle thing, but it's really fun!" she said, smiling. "Trust me, it'll be cool, anything to do will actually be cool, to keep myself from getting bored. You have any other better ideas?" she asked the two of them.

Jack smiled a bit. "Can a trust a girl to do a little bit of shopping?" He asked with a teasing grin. The fries were almost gone now; Jack was shoveling them into his mouth. He was very hungry from that scare he had with his father. He decided to try to forget it, but he knew that would be hard considering her cheek was still bruised. He held the ice pack to his face, hoping this muggle way would work quickly. He sighed, knowing that muggles have very slow ways in medical things.
"So, what is..ice skating and roller blading? You use a roller as a blade or something?" It was his best guess, since roller and blade were together, what else could it mean? "And ice skating is..skating on ice?" He smiled. He knew that he had gotten that guess right. "Let's hope you don't bore easily, Maddie. Otherwise I will be bored too." He grinned and then laid back in his seat.

Maddie laughed when Jack asked if he could trust a girl with just a little bit of shopping. "Maybe." she replied, and grinned back at him. She noticed the fries were almost gone, and she still wanted a few, so she quickly grabbed a couple and raised her eyebrows at him. "My, aren't we hungry today?" She waved over another waitress, and said, "Umm... I think we're going to need some more fries, how 'bout extra large this time? My treat." she said, turning to her friends.
The waitress nodded and walked away. Jack asked what roller blading was, and Maddie answered, "Close, but... no. It's like a huge plastic shoe, that you wear, that has four weels, in a row, and you just slide them accross the ground. In other words, it's skating. Oh, and yeah, ice skating is skating on ice, but, instead of wheels on the bottom of your there's a metal blade."
"So," she said, changing the subject. "Umm... what's been going on with you guys?"

((Sorry I haven't posted. Went to an amusement park yesterday and the day before so didn't have time to post...))
We live on front porches and swing life away. We get by just fine here on minimum wage. If love is labour, I'll slave till the end. I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand. I've been here so long, figured it's time to move. Winters so cold, summers over too soon. So let's pack our bags, and settle down where palm trees grow. I've got some friends, some that I hardly know. But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world. We chase these days down with talks of the places we'll go... Mack was silent this whole time, singing 'Swing Life Away' by Rise Against over and over in her mind- trying to keep from passing out. She watched as Jack scarfed down the french fries, and she listened to their conversation as best as she could. Her blue eyes started to haze over and she could hardly see, but she didn't dare close her eyes.
"Umm... what's been going on with you guys?" Mack heard Maddie ask, and Mack tried hard to speak but all that came out was a moan. She shook her head forcefully and said; "I'm being moved Ireland. To live with my Aunt Gine. I don't-agh!-don't mind, but I would rather-uh-rath-rather live some place wa-warmer." Mack's words slurred and she tried to stop the slurring, but she was defeated. Mack shook her head again and tried to take a drink of the water that was placed in front of her, but she just spilled it all over her. "Damn!" Mack hollered as she jumped up and wiped at her jeans. "Bloody hell!" She grabbed some napkins and continued to wipe at her jeans. She looked at Jack and Maddie, "Screw this!" She said. She went into teh nearest restroom and muttered a healing charm on her head. She didn't exactly care if she got into trouble. When she returned to the table, she sat down calmly and stole a fry with a smile.

Maddie grew a bit worried when Mack started slurring her words, and moaning a bit. She gave her an awkward look, as if trying to decide wheather she should say something or not. She decided however, not to say anything. She watched as Mack walked away, and when she came back, her head was healed. She smiled at her, when she saw Mack took another fry.
Maddie knew that Mack might get into trouble with the Ministry, and she was a bit worried for her about that as well. But, her head was healed, and it seemed to Maddie that that was really the only thing that mattered to Mack at the moment. A few moments later, the waitress came back, with the fries that she had ordered, and placed it in the middle of the three. Maddie just then, remembered what Mack had said. "You're moving to Ireland?" she asked, awkwardly.

Jack gave Mack a startled look. Bloody hell! Her dad must have given her a worse beating than my own. Jack watched Mack anxiously as her words started to slur and she was moaning. He was going to suggest something but the words just wouldn't come out. He was glad when Mack left the table and then came back fully healed. He would do the same but he wasn't taking any chances. Hogwarts was his only home and he didn't want to jeopardize it. He sighed and ate a few more fries as the waitress came back with more. He heard Maddie ask what had been going on. His vision seemed to become blurry and his head started to buzz. What has been going on? I don't know what the hell has been going on. Mack is Molly and Molly is Mack, Padme is my sister that I just figured out I had. He shook his head and then tried to speak.
"Uh....a lot really, with me. I have a sister that I just met a few days ago." he frowned at the thought but stuffed a few more fries into his mouth. He heard Maddie ask if Mack was moving to Ireland. Ireland? But that's kind of far away. Roger was thinking of moving to Scotland; I thought he was just joking, but maybe he isn't.... Jack sighed and didn't say anything about Scotland yet. He would only if he knew it for positive.

Mack smiled at Jack; "Yeah. Padme's got one nasty tongue. Though I admire her attitude, she's going to make one hell of a Slytherin." She told him with a teasing smile. Mack thought Padme was a great person, she was sure Padme was nice to those she cared about; but there was a tough exterior you had to get through- and Mack was willing to get through that to have such a strong ally.
She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at her friends, Maddie asked if she was moving to Ireland- and she nodded slowly. "Yep. My father has become sick of me. Thank God! So I am being sent to live with my Aunt Gine. She's rather old- 90 years old to be exact. She's nearly blind and can't hear, so I am going to be content. Ireland's very pretty, almost as pretty as Scotland. I mean, I love the greenness and the hills and such. And this way- you," Mack looked at Jack, "can come and visit without my dad being an ass." Mack nodded and ate another fry. She ran her fingers through her hair again- her hoop earrings dangling and casting a glnt from the sun.

Jack laughed. "Yep, Padme's going to be a great Slytherin. I have a feeling that she won't resort to physical pain, which is a good thing, but her words are poison." He ate another fry, lost in thought. Then, he was jerked out of his reverie when Mack said that she was moving to Ireland. "Lucky you. I'm afraid my father's not nearly ready to let me move out yet. He says I still have lots to learn." Jack rolled his eyes but grinned when Mack said that he could come visit sometime. "Yeah, I'd like that. I'd be kind of afraid to go to your house if you were still living with you dad, to tell you the truth. He's just so much...bigger, you know?" He sighed and ate another fry.

Mack smiled a sad smile at Jack, "If you hate your life so much, run away. Come run away and live with my Aunt. As long as you use a high pitched voice while you are around her, she'll think you're me." Mack told him with a giggle. When Jack said that Mack's dad was...big-er. Mack smiled again, "Trust me, I know, eh?" She ate anothe fry and sighed. Wondering when they were going to go.

Maddie laughed a bit when Jack said that he just found out that he had a sister. "Sorry," she apoligized. "It just sounded funny the way you said it? Padme, huh? I love that name."
When Mack said that she was moving to Ireland, Maddie laughed once more, when she described her aunt. Ireland was kinda far away, but Mack would probably still be going to Hogwarts, so it wasn't that big of a deal at the time for Maddie. "So, umm, you guys ready to go yet? Or, Jack, do you still need help with your face before we go?" she asked.
