"To the beach! To the beach! We're going to the be-each! We're going to the be-each! To the beach! To the beach! We're going to the be-each! We're going to the be-each!" Ingrid sang at the top of her lungs in the Lewis' van. Everyone else wasn't in a very excited mood, or so it would seem. Her father was driving, her mother was reading a book, Jason was listening to his headphones while texting on his cell phone, Sally was busy playing her gameboy, Kirsty was writing in her journal, and Janine was coloring in her color book. Ingrid was bouncing in her seat, singing, she was so excited. They rarely ever went to the beach. So excuse her for being overly excited because they were going some place besides town.
"To the be-" She started again, but she was cut off by Jason, "Shut up already, Ing! God, do you have to be so annoying?!" Ingrid's mouth dropped and she stared at her older brother. Jason and I used to be real close, but then he met that friend of his; Jarred. And we aren't close anymore. I guess it's because Jarred isn't a nice guy and doesn't like little kids- but Jason isn't a nice guy anymore either. It makes Mummy cry an awful lot- makes me cry sometimes too. I miss him a lot. "Well, if people would be as excited as I am then maybe I wouldn't have to sing!" Ingrid told him in a huffy tone of voice. Jason sighed and slumped down in his seat muttering that if the others were as bloody annoying as she, he would kill himself. This got a "Jason Michael Lewis!" From both Fred and Anna. Ingrid's happy go-lucky mood instantly changed for the rest of the trip to the beach. She was as silent as Janine was on a normal basis.
The van pulled into the parking lot of the beach, and the doors slid open. Everyone piled out, and Ingrid was the last to get out. Anna put her arms around her daughter and stroked her wheat blonde hair, "Don't worry about it, honey. Daddy and I enjoyed your song." She told her with a warm smile. Ingrid grinned and ran off to find Janine. It didn't take her that long, Janine was already on the beach making a sand castle. Ingrid knelt down beside her and helped her pat the sand into the bucket. Janine made the best sand castles. It was common sense. After they finished that castle, they took a walk along the shore of the ocean. Ingrid's braids being whipped behind her- and she looked around.
There was this girl who seemed to be setting up for something, this intrigued Ingrid so she decided to walk up to her. "Excuse me? What are you doing? Are you having a party? I love love love parties! I love the music and the food, and the decorations! When I'm 16 I'm going to have a debutante balll, where I will get all dressed up and go to the ball with a prince from another land. I will. So are any princes going to be at this party? Are they?" Ingrid asked as she appeared at the girl's side.

Weekend was here finally and Lenora was home for one of the few rehearsals she got with the rest of the cast. "Hey Juliet. Long time no see. How's that school of yours? Been keeping you locked up in a dragon guarded tower trying to keep ya from me again?" Said a boy with blue eyes coming up behind her. 'You have no idea how close you are' Lenora thought amused picturing the common room up on the seventh floor of Gryffindor Tower.
"Romeo, my love, you know I would slay a dragon and climb down the side of the tower for you were it so simple. But alas math class and biology can not be escaped from so easily." Lenora quipped turning to him. As soon as he caught up with her Lenora jumped on his back and had him carry her the rest of the way across the parking lot. "Andy! How are things with you? How's Jenny?" Lenora asked one of her best friends from days gone by. Before Hogwarts Andy and Lenora had been near inseparable and every summer since had been spent bonding at 'Annie's Camp For The Preforming Arts' that is where they were scouted for the leads in this summer's preformance of Romeo And Juliet in London.
They chatted for awhile before running through their lines. Everyone was astonished at how well Lenora caught onto everything seeing as how seldom she was there despite that they knew she was practicing while away at school. A few times though she had to suppress giggles at seeing Andy dressed up with flowey sleeves proclaiming his love for her; but her trained face betrayed none of it.
"TO THE BEACH!!" She shouted to Andy when his girlfriend Jenny finally showed up after they were all finished. He gave a small chuckle as Lenora spined and Jenny glared at her as if she were insane.
"I thought we were going to the movies?" She said to her boyfriend with a raised eyebrow completely ignoring Lenora.
"Well..." Andy said shifting from foot to foot suddenly uncomfortable. He couldn't understand why Jenny seemed suddenly so mad. He had been hoping the girls would get to be great friends as well. "it is her only night here Jen, and such a nice day, and we can go to the movies any old day." He said clearly uncertain not knowing what to say. He simply couldn't perceive the problem but he would rather go to the beach like he had suggested to Lenora before practice.
"Fine if that is how you feel." Jenny said in a huff and Andy took that as her agreeing. So the three went to the beach right by the studio happily - for the most part.
When they got there Lenora stumbled slightly at an odd sight - someone from school was there. 'What should I do? Should I ignore her? That wouldn't be nice. But what if she reveals something about the school? But what if she recognizes me and calls out; wouldn't that be worse?' Lenora argued within herself.
The pair were looking at Lenora now wondering why she had stopped so and Lenora knew she had to make up her mind quick. "Umm can you guys wait here a minute? I think I recognize someone but I want to be sure before I introduce you." She said before running off the the girl she was almost certain was a Ravenclaw and a young girl, likely her sister.
"Is she always this eccentric?" Jenny asked her boyfriend only to receive the answer, "Ya. Isn't it great?" Before he ran off to join his friend leaving her to trail behind disgruntled.
"Hey!" Lenora said to the girls unpacking the car happily. "Muggles coming please no mention of you know what. Hey Andy. I thought I asked you to wait?" She said just as he arrived so he just missed her asking them not to mention magic.

Ingrid and Janine looked up at the same time to see a girl run over and say something about Muggles and to not say anything about 'you know what.' Only, Ingrid didn't know what she was talking about, so she shook her head confused and was about to say something- when a boy and another girl followed the first girl. The other girl didn't seem to happy to be at the beach, and Ingrid wondered why, "Hi! I'm Ingrid May Lewis, I'm eleven. This is Janine Lewis, she's 9. We're sisters. I don't know who this is, but she's having a party! I was telling her that I love parties and that I'm going to a debutante ball when I'm 16 and I'll be going with a prince." Ingrid climbed onto the nearest beach chair and smiled up at them, "I don't who, but I will. It's," She did a dramatic twirl and landed in Janine's tiny arms. But only partially, for the other half of her body was still in the chair, "destiny." Ingrid finished. She giggled and climbed down from the beach chair to stand next to the not-happy-girl. She tugged on her arm and smiled up at her, her head tilted to the side. "Why do you look so upset? Don't you like the beach? I personally do. See, look around," Ingrid waved her arm to emphasise her point on how wonderful the beach was, "the waves are crashing against the rocks and the sand. Kids are running around laughing. It's just a very happy place. If you don't like it, then why are you here? And as long as you're here, maybe you could enjoy it? If not for your sake, then for the others with you." Ingrid told her- that darling smile on her face. The girl gave Ingrid a small weak smile, and Ingrid decided she would work on the mood a little bit later. Ingrid smiled again and bounded away and landed next to the boy, "Do you like the beach?" She asked with a curious glint in her eyes. She then bounded over to the girl who had approached them. Ingrid put her finger to her chin, tapped it twice and then said, "What are Muggles? And what shouldn't I talk about?" Ingrid was really confused. And since the girl said not to talk about something, Ingrid whispered this so the others couldn't hear her. After all it must have been a secret if this girl didn't want them to hear. ((I have permission from Lenora to play the girl, Jenny. Just so there wasn't any confusion.))

Bee smiled at her dad as he drove them to the beach. I never thought he could be this nice. I think that Saige woman has changed him. I just don't understand. Has he forgotten about mum? If he did, I'll never forgive him. Since that's just not right. Mum's a lot better than Saige, if only she was here right now. Saige sat in the front seat, tapping her foot to the music that was playing throughout the car. Bridget clapped her hands over her ears; she hated rap music, it just had no point. "Turn it down!" she shouted over the horrible roar. Saige didn't hear her, and Scott didn't seem to car. People who would drive by would look at them with annoyed expressions on the faces. Bee sighed and flopped down lower in her seat so no one could see her. She looked at Perry, her optimistic brother, and tried to send him a grin. Perry smiled back, but even his face looked strained. The hour to the beach seemed to be two hours instead; rap music pounding through Bee's mind, making her unfocused. Soon, much to her relief, they were pulling in to a parking lot located near the beach.
Bee got out first, trying to escape from the car. Scott was looking very disgruntled as Saige led him away to a empty beach place. Perry looked at Bee uncertainly, not really sure what to do now. Just then, Dan, Perry's friend who was very good looking, came over to drag Perry away. "Nice to see ya, Bee!" Dan shouted over his shoulder as he and Perry pulled off their shirts and dived into the ocean. Bee shook her head and turned back to the car. What to do now? I don't think any of my friends are here. Just then, Bee was being hugged by her friends, who were all shouting and yelling happily. Carma and Lena were wearing their swimming suits, while Tibby was wearing her's under her clothes, just like Bee. Bee shouted too, hugging all her friends in turn. They all looked very happy and joyful, until a car pulled up behind them. It was Carmen's mom, telling the girls that they had to go. Bee's green eyes lost their spark as her friends piled into the car. Carmen's mom said her hello's and goodbyes and then the car pulled away, all of Bee's friends waving. Bee sighed unhappily. That didn't last long. Now, there's no where to go. Except....that big tent with loud music playing. Good music, no rap. She giggled slightly and walked slowly toward a couple people all gathered around whatever they were setting up.
"Hello, everyone. I'm not...erm....intruding, am I?" Bee asked uncomfortably. She glanced around at all the people gathered around. Five girls and one boy all together. Might as well introduce myself. "I'm Bridget Vreeland, Bee for short." Just then, Dan and Perry came running over, their hair wet and they eyes dancing. Dan, being strong, barreled into Bee on purpose, knocking her into the sand. Blushing furiously that she had been knocked down, Bee stood up and brushed the sand off of her bottom. "Come on, Bee!" Dan said, giving her arm a huge tug. "We got a surf-board! Come on! I heard you're really good at it." Perry nodded and then the two boys noticed the group gathered there. Dan smiled brilliantly at them all. Bee rolled her eyes. "Uh...this is Dan Clarkson and Perry Vreeland, my brother." She shifted uncertainly on the spot, unsure what to say next. Even the boys looked uncomfortable. Bee waited to see what everyone would say about this.

Alyson put her hand to her heart and sighed with relief. It was only a little girl. But then she started to talk. It went on and on and on. Who is this little girl? What if people see me? She thought with a forced smile on her face. " Um... Hi. Yes I'm having a party." She said in a unsure voice.
Then another girl ran up to them. More like to her. Saying not to say anything about magic or muggles. Before she could get a word in the little girl began to talk forever again. Does she ever shut up? Well let’s hope so. She thought. As she was about to start speaking again. She was once again inturptetd. Not only was the girl's group who asked her not to say anything about her world showed up. Another girl came up and introduced her self. Then she introduced her brother and friend.
Waving her hand slightly she smiled to the weird group. " O.k. Hi. I'm Alyson and I'm the host. I don't know any of y’all except for Bee so... Now you all know who I am." She said getting everyone started.

Bridget smiled nervously at the group and she was relieved when a girl spoke. After a closer look, Bee recognized her as Alyson. Bee gave her a warm smile. "Sorry, Alyson, but what exactly are you the host of? A party or something?" Bee turned to see the two boys behind her snickering. She stepped on both of their feet to make them stop. The wind came in a sudden gust and Bee hastily took out a hair holder and put her hair in a sloppy pony-tail. She then turned back to the group in general. "Hang on, will you?" she asked before taking the two boys hands and dragging them away from the group. They burst out laughing again.
"What's the matter with you two?" Bee asked, her green eyes dancing.
"What kind of question is that; Is this a party?" Dan said while Perry laughed.
"Oh, please." Bee said before laughing with them. "Honestly, it doesn't hurt to ask, does it?" The boys shook their heads and then looked at her again.
"So, is it alright if you hang with you, Bee? Surfing is boring next to this party." Dan said with a glint in his eyes. Bee rolled her eyes but felt pleased that Dan would rather be with her.
"I don't see why not. I'll go ask Alyson. Why don't you two go get your shirts and put them back on, while you're at it." She said with a glance at their bare chests. "It's not right." The two boys burst out laughing but walked over to their shirts and pulled them on. Bee then walked over to the group again, hoping they didn't think her weird. The two boys were right behind her, Perry giggling about something.
"Hey...um...Alyson, would it be alright if these two stay? They aren't as troublesome as they look." She added with a playful smack on Perry's shoulder. Perry and Dan almost look like brothers. Sometimes I can't tell them apart. The only difference is Perry has brown hair and green eyes, while Dan had brown hair and deep brown eyes. Otherwise, they're both muscular, funny, and caring. She smiled at the two and then looked back at the group, her eyes on Alyson.

Lenora looked down at the dramatic little girl as she did a little faint into her sister’s arms saying it was destiny that she have a ball with a prince at sixteen. Lenora giggled loving the girl already while Jenny simply thought ‘Oh no; not another one’ and rolled her eyes. Lenora scanned the area happy to be there rather than cooped up in the castle while Ingrid entertained Jenny and made her smile. Andy absolutely thought she was the cutest thing ever and grinned of the site of his two favorite girls in the world smiling together, or in the same area at least. “What are Muggles? And what shouldn't I talk about?” Lenora was surprised to hear whispered to her and figured she obviously wasn’t there with Alyson. “It’s a term we use at the school that girl and I go to for grouchy people. When I said don't talk about ‘you know what’ that girl there knew not to ask what was wrong or else the grump-a-lump back there would get upset” Lenora said with a conspiratorial grin and wink at the little girl so only she could hear. ((Ing – I hope she will get over being lied to? Lenora really does like her but… you know how it is )) As she was speaking another girl showed up who Lenora recognised from the common room as being Bee – a year younger and so they had never spoken but a Gryffindor none the less. Lenora flashed her a warm smile as greeting as she introduced her brother and his friend. The girl Lenora had originally came up to introduced herself as Alyson and said she was having a party. She then said that she was the host and considering she had already mentioned it was her party Lenora wondered what she was talking about but didn’t bother asking figuring she must have simply forgotten what's she had just said. Andy on the other hand wasn’t so kind and so with a raised eyebrow and grin asked, “Since when does the beach have a host? I think people have been able to entertain themselves at the beach for centuries without a host there to make them feel welcome.” Lenora couldn’t help but giggle but feeling guilty slapped him upside the head. “Be nice” she whispered in his ear so only he could hear. When Bee came back and everyone else was introduced Lenora took her turn. She cleared her throat dramatically and dipped into a low bow. “I am Lenora Byers” she said then got up and spined over to Andy. She placed a hand on his shoulder and he dipped low as well. “This is my great pal Andy; or Romeo if you rather.” She said with a giggle messing up his short blond hair before doing another turn to stop in front of Jenny who she didn’t touch lest she be slapped. “And this is his lovely girlfriend Jenny. We are here to enjoy the sun and the beach air. What are you all doing out of school this weekend? They usually only let you come home if you have a really good reason.” She asked happily marvelling at the chance of three Hogwarts students showing up at the same muggle beach on a school weekend.

A mock salute was given to the girl who had introduced herself as Lenora, "Got it!" She then laughed, "Grump-a-lump. I like that. I call people Grumpy- Guss'. I don't know why." She then returned that same smile. She jumped up and then skipped over towards the newcomer. Standing next to the girl who introduced the boys Dan and Perry but not herself, Ingrid smiled and did a deep curtsy, pulling the corners of her skirt outwards. Ingrid had many ways of greeting people, a hand shake, a salute, a curtsy, a bow, a hug, a kiss on the cheek, and even a simple 'hello.' At the moment she felt like a curtsy- so this is what she did. "I am Ingrid Lewis. I am eleven years old. This is my sister Janine, she's nine years old. We came to the beach with our parents, our brother Jason," Ingrid motioned to her brother Jason, who was sleeping- and her parents who were both reading," and our two sisters, Andrea and Sally." She motioned to them, who were playing volleyball. Ingrid smiled and then looked back at the girl, "Now- you know who I am, and who she is. Who are you? You introduced your friends, but not yourself. I certainly can't call you 'the girl' every time, now can I? Normally when you meet someone, you introduce yourself, but I guess all you guys know each other from school. Because you guys seemed to know each other. Oh well, I don't know who you are, Janine doesn't know who you are, and I am certain these two- Jenny and Andy don't know who you are. So who are you?" Ingrid spoke rather fast and in a calm voice. She narrowed her eyebrows and put her hands on her hips, her hip cocked to the left slightly. Before the girl could say anything, Ingrid bounded away towards Jenny. Her new mission. "Hello Jenny, I had a friend named Jenny once. She moved away. I missed her so. Ah well, c'est la vie, I always say. Did you know that even though I am eleven I know French? Isn't that weird? My mummy says I am smart for my age, and that I should do something with my talent. So I am teaching Janine some French too. Do you know what 'c'est la vie' means? It means 'that's life.' Isn't that a good saying?? I always thought so! Always. I love that saying. It's something I can apply to every day life. Sort of like your mood right now. C'est la vie. What ever has you in a down mood, you will get over it. Don't worry. You'll end up smiling by the end of the day. Ingrid's on the case." She exclaimed with a large smile and a reassuring glimmer in her eye. ((C'est la vie - That's life.)) ((I just now realiased that Bee did introduce herself, but I am keeping the post the way it is. Because I think it shows Ingrid's character, how she has a short attention span ))

Bee smiled at Lenora. She thought she had recognized the girl from Gryffindor common room, but she didn't want to make a mistake. She smiled at Lenora and Dan and Perry did the same. She laughed as a girl about two years younger than her came bounding over and talking really fast. Bee tried to get all of it, which was difficult for her. She laughed again before answering. "You can call me Bee. Oh, and I'm thirteen. So, Janine's just a sister? She kind of looks like your twin... If she wasn't two years younger than you." Bee smiled at Ingrid as the girl bounded over to the others. Bee could tell that Dan was getting impatient, he was shifting his weight from one foot to another. Bee knew he would probably explode and go wild. She sighed, waiting for it to happen. Bee laughed. "You better watch out Jenny! Ingrid's on to you!" she giggled and hoped that Ingrid and Jenny realized that she was joking. Jenny did look a little sad for some reason. She shook her head just as Dan burst out loudly, "What kind of party is this? Let's get the party started! Enough with the introduction!" He stood with his hands on his hips, looking at Alyson, who was the host. Bee turned to give him a smack before looking back at Alyson. She better not be offended. Dan can't handle doing nothing for about five minutes. It would be nice to see what Alyson has in store for us. She grinned stupidly, waiting to see her reaction. ((Don't worry, Ingrid. I understand and Bee found it funny how you are all over the place. ))

The guy who Alyson was sure was Dan insisyed on getting the party started. " Yes I agree. This is getting well... dull. So lets dance!." She said turning her radio full blast.
The little girl Ingrid was really funny. After you got past the never shutting up part. It kinda reminded Alyson of her self at that age.
Pushing her sunglasses up on her hair she looked over the beach. As she turned her gaze away. She heard her name being called. She looked up as a guy ran up to her. Taking her hand he twirled her. " Hows it goinng beautiful?" He asked with a smile. Alyson rolled her eyes. " Bye Drake!" She said swishing her hands for him to leave. But held them in stead. " Don't make me curse yo-." She began. "Oh yeah I forgot about your school. Were was that again? Well its about m-" He wasn't able to finsh because she kicked him hard in the gut. He doubled over in pain.

Bee sighed in relief as Alyson didn't take it as a personal insult. The music was now on full blast and Bee covered her ears to block out the sudden change. It was good music, Bee had to hand it to Alyson. She wasn't sure about the dancing part, though. Who am I supposed to dance with. How about Perry? He's my brother. The chance of that was instantly wiped away as Scott called Perry's name. Perry waved goodbye, promising he would be back once he Scott let him go. Bee watched in dismay as Perry ran across the beach, slipping slightly in the sand. Bee didn't have any time to dwell on who to dance with much longer, considering she found herself in the air. Dan had grabbed her by the waist and attempted to throw her in the air. Since he was a football player, it almost worked, but Bee fell face forward into the sand. She sputtered in indignation and was about to get up when Dan grabbed her and pulled her up roughly. He started twirling her, that goofy grin on his face.
It seemed like forever until the song ended; it felt like Dan's hand's were burning into her waist and hand; Bee felt very awkward dancing with her brother's friend. Once the song was over, she flung herself away from him and fell into the sand. Dan sat down beside her, and Bee wished that she was near the ocean so she could have a water fight with Dan. She sighed and laid down, the sun blaring in her face. Bee noticed that Alyson was dancing with someone nearby, someone who she just kicked. Bee raised her eyebrows thinking it was a little strange, but said nothing about it. The music was getting into Bee's veins, making her want to dance, something that Bee had always been good at. The temptation became to great, Bee stood up and felt something grab her ankle. She fell to the ground and rolled over to see what had attacked her. Dan. Bee gave him a grin and stood back up again, getting out of reach from Dan's hands.
"Can't get me!" she cried, dancing out of Dan's reach with her tongue out. Dan got up and Bee turned to run for it. She didn't get very far; Dan was a fast runner. He tackled her and Bee felt sand hit her face yet again. She rolled over and rolled her eyes at her friend. She punched him playfully in the arm and stood up. "Care to dance again?" She asked him. He nodded and grabbed her hand, pulling her back to were everyone else was. Bee let the music flow through her and started moving her body the way the music was doing. Dan was doing the same; Bee was having so much fun that she forgot about how awkward this would look if Perry came back.

It was a pleasant day – warm, sunny – just the right day to enjoy a nice swim and some tanning at the beach. Maybe have a quick lunch here? That’s what most people thought. But not Gary. No, Gary was working today, but working as a life-guard did have it’s bonuses. The fresh air, swimming, the sun – yes, there was nothing wrong with life.
The beach was slowly starting to fill up with people and Gary smiled looking over them. He loved his job – didn’t want to continue doing it after he had finished college, but right now it was just perfect. Hearing a sudden blast of music Gary turned and looked at a group of youngsters that were dancing around. Seeing some angry glances thrown towards them Gary moved that way as well and stopped next to the radio and turning the volume down. It was still loud enough to be heard, but it wasn’t screeching all over the beach anymore. “Now, I understand you want to have fun and enjoy yourself, but this is a public beach, so you have to take others into consideration. Don’t turn the music louder than it is now, as it disturbs others the other way,” Gary told them with a frown taking them in. Some of the girls seemed rather young so Gary smiled at one of them and crouched down, “Hello, sweet-heart, I’m Gary. What’s your name?” Gary held out her hand and the small girl glanced at one other – her sister probably, - before she took Gary’s hand and whispered “Janine.”
“Janine? That’s a pretty name for a pretty lady. Oh, but I think you have something just here in you ear,” Gary reached out her hand and pulled out a colourful lollipop from the girl’s ear. He did magic tricks like that all the time for his little relatives. It just took practice and quick hands – naturally the candy didn’t come from her ear in reality. He handed the candy to Janine who smiled shyly and accepted the candy before moving back to her sister shyly. Gary smiled and stood up, looking around the youngsters and sending a longer glance at the girl who seemed to be having this party here: “Now, don’t turn the music too loud again.” Turning to look and smile for everybody Gary added: “But enjoy the day and the beach. If you need anything come and find me, alright?” Nodding at the group Gray turned and left stopping as kneeling down as some older lady had stopped him to ask a couple of guests about the water temperature further down the beach.

When her guests began to dance. Alyson relaxed. Than Drake toke her and asked her to dance again. So she agreed.
~~~~~~~Drake's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(( o'k starting from Alyson kicking him.))
It hurt. He put his hand to his gut. Sighting Alyson alone. No dancer. He toke her hand and he asked her to dance.
~~~Back to Alyson's POV~~~
AS she and Drake began to dance. The lifegaurd came and turned down her stereo. He gave them a lecture and she put on a fake smile. " Sur thing Gary." She replied annoyed.
