The horizon was begining to turn a deep crimson as the sun began to disappear beneath the sky from above. The shadows began to take over the cobblestoned streets of Hogsmeade crepting up on unsuspecting figures and engulfing them into a deep darkness. The streets were fairly empty, though it was filled with it's usual wandering squibs, looking for someone to sell some illegal items. They hid in the dark alleys, watching every figure that passed by, seeing if they were worthy enough for their prices.
A tall figure appeared from a corner, her body engulfed in a black robe and her raven black hair flowing out in the wind. It's strands crawling into the sky. It was Alaizabel Cray, doing her usual night stroll in hogsmeade, why? Who would know, except her. She brushed the left side of her hair back, as she watched the street lamps flicker on. Casting a dark gaze at a figure who seemed to be walking with a slight hump, her green eyes eyeing them like a cat.
She let the wind rattle her brain for a few seconds when she began to walk towards the heart of hogsmeade. Her black sneakers padding lightly on the ground. She was in a calm controlled mood. Starinf listlessly at the path ahead. That was until a short figure appeared right in front of her. Alaizabel stopped shortly and looked down upon the figure.
"Ah Miss, you look worthy enough for this rare item." Said the short person in a sly voice. Alaizabel stared at him, the only hair he had was on the left and right side of his head. The top of his head was completely bald, with the exception of a few loose strands. "And what would this rare item be?" She said in a non-convincing voice. She crossed her arms over her chest, he was wasting her valuable thinking time.
The man stalled for a moment, searching through his colak pockets. He pulled out a gold item, that was aligned with ruby and emerald. It looked oddly like a cross between a dragon and serpent. Something that caught Alaizabels's eye. She snached it from his hand and peered at it curiously. The man smiled and said, "Yes very rare, will you buy?"
Alaizabel scratched it with her nail, and looked at it very closely. After a few seconds, she smiled and looked down at the hopeful squib. "Squib, tell me something, how much do you want me to pay for this?" She asked in a cold tone. The squib looked startled and said, "For you, how much do you want it?" He asked, a bit shaking. Alaizabel smiled slyly, "I'm not paying nothing for it." She said. "This is a fake!" She added very loudly, throwing the object on the floor which instantly broke to pieces. "Now squib, you have wasted enough of my time, go waste someone else's!" She said coldly, glaring at him, waiting for him to leave.
The squib looked angry, but soon changed his mind about his course of action when he looked into her eyes. He shuffled away in a clumsy motion, as he walked away from Alaizabel. Who soom continued her stroll. She brushed her hair back again, and stopped in front of a large fountain. She watched in awe as the water shimmered in the moonlight and sparkled upon the statues and back into the water. Something to true beauty for her. She gazed at it admirably and took a seat at it's edge. She closed her eyes and let her mind wander, her thoughts working it's way from home, and her life.
