Donna Jo rarely visited home, maybe for the holidays or maybe just because, she felt like visiting Lorelai. But, she never went home for her parents. This is because, of two things. 1) She disliked the fact of hearing her parents fight, and 2) She was always ignored so why show up anyway? The only person who really seemed to pay any attention to D.J. was Lorelai, and for that D.J. loved Lorelai with all her heart. Lorelai always seemed to be there for her, no matter what D.J. was going through, Lorelai always seemed to be there for her. It was like an attraction that seemed to pull Lorelai to her whenever D.J. was down or upset about something horrible. And there were times where she felt guilty because, she couldn't give Lorelai the same type of support as Lorelai could give her.
What seemed to be the only time that the family was actually a whole was when they went to Mass. Even though her family was strictly Catholic, D.J. didn't exactly believe what her parents believed. She saw no interest in Mass, it just...bored her. There was a lot of moving during Mass, a lot of standing, then sitting, then kneeling, then standing, then sitting, and then kneeling again. It was sore on D.J.'s knees and not to mention she didn't like to listen to the Gospel Acclamation, which was usually Alleluia. Creed and the General Intercessions, were two more things that D.J. didn't particularly enjoy, in fact the only thing D.J. did enjoy was Communion. Having many friends in different Christian religions, D.J. had gone to other churches and particularly enjoyed the Pentecostal Apostolic church that her and her friend Stacey went to. The people there were so, so...nice and kind to her, they welcomed her with open arms and actually spoke to her, not like the people did at Mass.
Opening the door to her house with a key that was on her purse, D.J. entered the cozy yet cold atmosphere; listening for any sound of living people in the house. The only sound came from the sweeping of the broom in the kitchen, which she knew Paula would be doing. Paula was the house keeper, always had been since D.J. could remember. The way D.J. saw it was when she left Paula left as well, and in a way Paula came with her in spirit. Although, the bleached blonde French woman was still at the Michaels house when she arrived again. D.J. hadn't come home until she had gotten her letter for Hogwarts, before that she had run away from home. She had returned many years later to see a two year old in her place, D.J. had despised the little red head but, she soon grew to love her.
"D.J!!!!!!!!" The sharp squeal of Lorelai reached D.J.'s ears, and she smiled that smile of content. Kneeling down on one knee, she stretched out her arms, and didn't close them until Lorelai had tugged D.J. into a neckbreaking hug herself. The little girl jumped up and down in D.J.'s arms, squealing with happiness. D.J. saw little spots of saddle shoes and frilly socks and she smiled recognizing the performance outfit at once. She had reached the house just in time for a Lorelai Perfomance on Piano. Lorelai was a pretty good pianist, she spent most of her time playing piano when D.J. wasn't around to do something with her, and when the Michaels had dinner plans, Lorelai agreed to play a piece for them.
"Donna Jo! Darling! What are you doing home?" Mrs. Michaels voice rang clear as bell. D.J. glanced up to see her mother in an elegant pink dress. It swirled out around her ankles and was glittery. D.J. recognized it from one of Mr. Michaels's Business Gala's two years ago. Around her neck, Mrs. Michaels wore a string of pearls, and wore pearl earrings as well. D.J. stood up, holding Lorelai's small hand, and tucked some of her hair behind her ear, trying to get rid of the nervousness that was fluttering around in her stomach, "Nice to see you too Mama." D.J. finally said. Mrs. Michaels arched an eyebrow at D.J. as if she didn't approve of her tone, before she turned on her heel and went back into her room.
"Come on D.J! I have loooads of things to show you!" Lorelai pulled on D.J.'s older hand and pulled her up the red carpeted stairs. She took one glance around the house and sighed in sadness, "No place like home, right?" She thought.

"D.J! D.J. did you hear the news? I don't have to play tonight!" Lorelai barged into the room in which D.J. was getting ready for the dinner party. D.J. smiled and turned to face Lorelai. The little girl clambered onto the bed that was 10 times her size and laid down on her stomach, facing D.J. Her little feet crossed, and her legs raised up in the air, rocking back and forth, her face cradled in her hands. D.J. stood up from the vanity, and walked to the bed, putting her hands on the poles and swinging around with a smile, "You don't? What did you do to change Mama's mind?" D.J. sat down on the bed and pulled her sister into her lap, holding her close.
"Nothin'. She just told me that I won't have to play tonight, she said you is gonna sing." Lorelai answered. This struck D.J. like a beam to the head, she looked down at Lorelai and smiled calmly, "Are you gonna sing, D.J.? Are yah?" D.J. sighed and stood up, gently pushing Lorelai off, and walked to her closet. She hadn't planned on singing, and she really didn't want to. She wondered what song her mother was going to make her sing, "Did Mama tell you what song I am singing, Lorelai?" Lorelai vigourisly nodded her head, a smile on her lips, "She says it is Habanera. I love that song, D.J. You sing it so prettyfuls." D.J. dropped the shoes she was examining, and turned to look at Lorelai with a stunned expression upon her face, "Habanera? As in from Carmen? Oh, Lorelai, why must I?" D.J. picked the shoes up and put them back in the closet, closing it and looking at herself in the mirror on the doors.
"Donna Jo, why aren't you ready yet? The guests are already arriving and you are still in your slip! I trust Lorelai has informed you of the change of plans. Well, you know what that means, you mustn't wear your normal dinner dress. This calls for your performance dress." Mrs. Michaels appeared in the doorway, clasping a bracelet around her thin frail wrist. D.J. looked at her mother with an expression on her face, that suggested she was about to run away again, "Mama, I don't want to. That dress suffocates me, and I can't sing the high notes correctly. I would rather wear my red formal gown if I have to perform, may I?" D.J. went through her closet and pulled out a red satin gown that sparkled, Mrs. Michaels looked appalled, "You absolutely may not! That is much too flashy for a girl your age, Donna Jo!" It was now that Lorelai hopped off the bed, and stood by D.J.'s side, defending her.
"I think she looks bootiful, Mama. Don't you? Oh, Mama, please let her wear it! It won't do no harm!" Lorelai's grammar was horrible, maybe it was because of the movies she watched, but, D.J. always cringed at the sound of her younger sister speaking such horrible English. D.J. looked at her sister, then to her mother, who was fidgeting with the gloves in her hand. Mrs. Michaels seemed to be contemplating the situation, she then sighed and nodded curtly as if surrendering. D.J. smiled and tugged on one of Lorelai's braids, sending them both out. She turned to the vanity, sighing deeply.
20 minutes later, D.J. descended the stairs to the main room, her red dress flowing elegantly behind her. Her blonde hair done nicely up in a french twist. She wore white gloves as well, and a red ruby bracelet was circling her wrist. A ruby necklace on her tan neck, and ruby earrings that dangled elegantly from her ears. The guests stopped their chatter, and looked up as she stepped on the last step, "Donna Jo, you look magnificent! I hear you are going to sing tonight, is this true?" D.J. looked to see her grandmother, and smiled while nodding once. She continued to walk in a dreamlike daze, from person to person, welcoming them into her home. Dinner party after dinner party, that was what her life was.

The sound of the tiny dinner bell rining through the halls made D.J.'s nerves to become anxious instead of collected. Her green eyes went to catch her mother's brown ones, it was time, "Ladies and gentlemen, may I have youar attention, please? My daughter, Donna Jo, will be singging Habanera, from the opera Carmen. If you would all gather in the drawing room, Donna Jo will begin shortly." Mrs. Michaels was one of those women who tried too hard to be better than everyone else, and this was clear by the way she spoke and moved. Slowly but, gradully, the dinner guests left the spacious dining room and entered the drawing room. D.J. didn't move from her seat, though. She sat there, not wanting to perform. Paula, the Michaels' housekeeper entered the dining room, and started to clear the table. D.J. took this as a sign, though not a good one, and left the dining room as well. She lingered in the doorway of the drawing room, looking in, slightly nervous. This wouldn't be the first time D.J. had performed, she'd done it before, but that didn't mean her stage fright was necessarily gone.
"And, without further adieu, my daughter, Donna Jo Michaels!" D.J. sighed and entered the room that was erupting with mild applause. Situating herself in front of everybody, she smiled wearily, and put her hand to her diapraghm. When D.J. had been trained for opera, she had taken up the habit of controlling her diaphragm. Her mother hated it, which was just a bonues in D.J.'s eyes. The clink of ice being put into glass brought D.J. back to the present, they were waiting. D.J. looked to her right at Lorelai who was waiting for the signal, for she was supposed to play and D.J. was to sing. D.J. ddn't want to, but she didn't dare run out on Lorelai, that girl was all D.J. had left. Lor was D.J.'s motivation. If Lor lost her faith in her older sister, D.J. would lose all her motivation. One look at that little red head and D.J. knew what she had to do. She nodded at Lorelai, and the little girl began to play.
D.J. sang with preciseness and beautiful diction. That's what she liked about opera, the diction. D.J. enjoyed diction, she loved saying the t's and d's. She liked hearing the perfectnes sof the letters. Her singing could only improve with good diction. D.J. curtsied slightly, then left the room, trudged upstairs, and collapsed onto her bed. Her green eyes were tearing and she pusehd the water out of her eyes. Silently crying. That's all her life was, and she knew there were others out there who had much worse. Who didn't grow up in a fancy home, with lots of money, and things like that. But, she couldn't help but feel so alone. She could be surrounded by a sea of people, and not one of them could know the real her. D.J. sighed and pulled a pillow towards her, burying her face in the cushiness.

“We have to get going, mon cherie,” Dana heard with a knock on her bed-room door in the apartment she and her grand-parents owned. “Just a sec, pere,” Dana called back before leaning towards the mirror and started to apply lipstick. Even though Meredith and Julien were Dana’s grand-parents, for her they were rather like real mother and father.
Finishing with the final touches of her light make-up Dana rose and looked at herself in the full-length mirror before turning and walking out of the room, placing her wand securely into the hidden pocket that was made just for that. Dana was wearing a muggle dress – the dress was a mixture of blue and silvery-gray – the end of the skirt was silvery and from there silvery vines with small leaves and blossoms moves upwards towards the waist, getting rarer as they climbed higher and giving room to blue. The dress had two thin straps going over the shoulders and the upper part of the dress hugged Dana’s body perfectly. As from waist the skirt fell freely and had a rather long slit on the left leg. The dress was a masterpiece and the colors matched Dana’s eyes nicely, while the dress brought out her tall and slim body as well as her slightly toned skin in the best light possible.
“You look marvelous,” Meredith greeted as Dana descended the stairs of the two-story apartment. “Merci. So you do, mere,” Dana smiled and took hold of the portkey they would be using to appear at Michaels house. They were a respected pure-blooded family and her grand-parents had felt entitled to accept their invitation. As Julien would most likely be elected as the next Minister of Magic in France, Meredith and Julien were forced to visit a lot of dinner-parties such as this one would be. They often took Dana along as well, so she was used to this kinds of gatherings as well.
Felling the familiar tug of the portkey at her navel, Dana grimaced, but managed to land gracefully on her feet, without even stumbling with her silvery strap-heels. Dana drifted through the crowd greeting someone here, sharing a kiss on the cheek with a relative there. The party wasn’t really very interesting, but it was bareable. The last name hadn’t appeared familiar to her, so she was really surprised when the hostess announced that their daughter Donna Jo Michaels would be singing an opera. Dana was even more surprised when she saw D.J. form Hogwarts get on the stage. They had played truth or dare once before, so when D.J. got off the stage Dana decided to find her.
Finally noticing D.J. sitting on a couch with her head buried into a pillow, Dana moved over, but didn’t sit down, in case the other girl didn’t want company: “Hello, D.J. I didn’t really expect to meet you here – well, actually I didn’t expect to be here myself, but my grand-parents dragged me along. Lovely song by the way – you really do have a great voice.”
Dana looked up with a smile as Julien approached her. “Do save me a dance later, mon cherie,” Julian told Dana with a quick kiss on her cheek, before the charming man turned to D.J. and nodded deeply, “You sounded very good on the stage. You should be very proud of yourself, young lady.”
Julien nodded to Dana as she promised to save him a dance and moved on, as he was immediately joined with some other guest, who started to earn bonus-points. Julien had a brilliant politics career as well as owning a very profitable book-store chain.
“I don’t know if you have met him before, but that was my grand-father That’s mainly because we have different last names – I got my father, but other than that I’m also part of the Graas family-line, should anyone care,” Dana smiled calmly and shifted her necklace, which consisted of a blue stone – the same color as the dress, which was held with silvery hooks that connected the jewel with the silver chain around Dana’s neck. Dana was also wearing a matching set of ear-rings, which caught light as she placed her half-empty water-glass on a near-by table, wondering if D.J. would greet her or would rather enjoy solitude.
((You said it's open for anyone, so hope you don't mind))

((Nope, don't mind at all...I'm glad you joined ) D.J. sat up as she heard someone speak behind her, she turned her head to see Dana, someone she had played truth or dare with. She sniffed lightly, and wiped at the tears that had fallen without want, she was glad Dana was there. Normally, D.J. had to bear these parties alone, and with Dana there, she would at least have something interesting to do. She hadn't expected Dana or anyone she knew from Hogwarts to be at this fancy dinner party, so she was surprised to see Dana there, but glad none the less. When Julien Graas, she knew who he was for her parent's talked non-stop about him and his ministry, they weren't very fond of him, came in and complimented her, D.J. immediately stood up and bowed her head, "Thank you." She whispered. As she lifted her head, she saw her mother in the doorway, looking rather angered. Mrs. Michaels's tightly pursed lips told D.J. she was in for it when everyone left. Quickly making her way to the sliding door that connected the den to the dining room, D.J. closed it in her mother's face, calmly. Holding the two doors shut, she turned to Dana, with a small relieved smile. "In truth, I didn't think your grandparents would be here either, considering my parents don't approve of them. But, I think it fine! Oh, it's so good to see someone my age here! Are you enjoying the party? Feel free to say it's boring, I do every time they end." D.J. giggled as she sat down on the couch, and laid her head on her hand, facing Dana. She was glad to see Dana, but she knew her mother wouldn't approve of who she was befriending. Her mother had more Slytherin in her then she did Gryffindor, and oddly enough that was the house she was in went she attended Hogwarts. D.J. took off her shoes as the sliding door opened and in stepped Lorelai, making her way towards her sister, her red hair bouncing, "D.J! You were purfect! Can ya teach me to sing like that, can ya?" She asked, still bouncing as she reached D.J.'s side. The older girl chuckled and nodded, while pushing a stray lock of hair out of Lorelai's hair, "Lor, we have a guest...Lorelai this is Dana Coran, a friend of mine from school. Dana this is my little sister Lorelai. Lorelai, what do you say?" D.J. watched as Lorelai stepped out into the open, curtsied deeply, and said, "How do you do?" She then turned to D.J., "Can ya can ya?!" She asked, her blue eyes glittering. D.J. sighed and nodded. Lorelai gasped with delight and ran out of the room, popped back in, curtsied again, "Nice to have meet you. MAMA! MAMA!" D.J. smiled and turned back to Dana, her green eyes a light with happiness, but those faded and became a dull hazel with specks of green in them, "So, you're related to the Graas'? I would have never guesed..." She stated as she stood up and poured herself and Dana a glass of water, she picked up a part of her skirts and walked over to Dana, handing her the glass of water. D.J. drank her's quietly and then set the glass down on the wooden table beside the couch, "Well, I shan't let my mother and father know whose granddaughter you are, then I won't be able to speak to you ever again..." She whispered calmly, she didn't want to have to stop talking to Dana, she was a good person and D.J. didn't want to have to lose a friend along with everything else she had lost because, of her parents.

Dana smiled as D.J. seemed glad to see her and even though she saw the traces of tears in her eyes, Dana didn’t push it. She figured that if D.J. wanted to tell her, then she would do so herself. She was a bit surprised when Dana closed the door under her mothers nose but it cleared up when she heard D.J.’s parents didn’t really fancy Meredith and Julien. “Don’t worry. Julien and Meredith aren’t too fond of your parents either,” Dana smiled, being glad she didn’t have to skirt around the topic, “But they are both important enough to be forced to go to places like these. I guess your mother also had a social pressure in order to invite them.”
Just then the doors opened and a smaller girl waltzed in with such a happy attitude, that Dana smiled. “How do you do, Lorelei?” Dana grinned at the smaller girl and curtsied back at her, “It is a real pleasure to meet you. Didn’t you play the piano while D.J. sang? I though you were magnificent as well.”
Dana smiled and stepped out of her heels, stretching and sighing contently as she curled her legs under her while sitting down: “And this party is a bore. I’ve been to formal parties before thanks to my grand-parents and some of them aren’t that bad at all, but this one…” Dana rolled her eyes and grinned.
“Thanks,” Dana accepted the glass of water and tilted her head, “Yeah, I’m part of the Graas family.”
Dana hesitated slightly, not really knowing how to relate to the woman who had given birth to her. For Dana she was a complete stranger and she didn’t feel any affection towards her. For Dana Meredith was her mother. “Mother eloped with a muggle when she was 17 and they had me. She died while giving birth, so my father took me to live with Meredith and Julien, as he was some sort of muggle agent. I only met the man, who gave half of my genes, so rarely, that I could don’t those times on my fingers. So I didn’t really even realize I didn’t have a father anymore, when he was killed in… Kuiveit I think it was.”
Dana shrugged. She really did feel as if the facts she stated didn’t affect her: “For me Meredith and Julien have always been the only parents I’ve ever known and they are bloody fantastic.”
Dana heard D.J.’s whisper and frowned: “Your parents would forbid it? I don’t know if it will get you into more trouble, but should you ever need – just come over. I’d be happy to have you as a guest.”
Dana shook her head slightly and smiled taking a sip of water: “So – since we have already figured that this party is a bore – have anything in mind to have fun? Or would it just get you into trouble. I mean your mother didn’t look very happy, when Julien stopped by for a moment, so I hope we won’t cause you any problems.”
Dana stood up and stretched lazily walking to the window and glancing outside for a moment before turning back and hopping to sit on the window-sill let her feet tangle down freely: “I’m glad to see you here though. Otherwise the company would have been boring.”

"I'm afraid no one likes my parents, I don't even like my parents. I don't blame Julien and Meredith, my mother is a horrid person. So precise and so, just, down right horrid! My father is okay though, I won't be surprised if I find him talking to Julien or Meredith with a smile on his face, he was never one to judge. Just doesn't approve of a few things." D.J. answered with a small sly smile, she stood up as well, and made her way to another room that was closed off. She opened it up and it led to Lorelai's toy room. She wasn't planning on playing, but it was the only room in the whole house that had the lead to the balcony. Turning back to Dana, she leaned against the rail and laughed, "I agree, this party is way too boring. Why don't we, change and head to the nearest club? We'll have to sneak out, or I would, rather." D.J. suggested with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
Turning back to look at the night sky, the stars were slowly appearing and she was reminded of one of her performances at the Aranoff. The Aranoff, was a large theatre that held musicals, plays, and operas. D.J. had performed in Carmen there, it was a junior opera, not the whole thing, and the whole cast was made up of teenagers. D.J. had played Carmen and the Aranoff had been an open theatre, the ceiling had been lowered so the stars shown. She remembered this specific performance because, that was the night she got her big break in Habanera, and could finally sing the highest note. As the north star twinkled, D.J. adverted her eyes back to Dana, waiting to see what the girl would say, "Or you know, we could stay here...and be bored." Swishing the skirts out of her way, D.J. made her way back through the toy room to the den, which was as formal as the dining room.
"There's a club near here, it's called the Village. It's a shabby name, but a great club. I could probably get us in free, considering I know the owner's son personally." D.J. explained with a wave of her hand and a tilt of her head towards the right. D.J. vastly undid the clip that was holding up her blonde hair, and let the hair fall loosely behind her back, she really wanted to break free of this place. To be able to dance something else besides the waltz, to be able to have some fun with her friends. She didn't want to grow up too fast, and that's what these dinner parties were doing to her. She just wondered if Dana felt the same.

“Well, I’m glad to hear at least your father isn’t too uptight,” Dana said with a smile watching curiously as D.J. opened a door to some room. Dana listened to D.J.’s suggestion and pondered for a moment. This party wouldn’t turn into anything interesting and Dana wouldn’t’ mind some dancing. If she didn’t enjoy herself while she was young, then when would she? “If you say this Village is a good place and you’re sure you don’t mind coming – then I’m up to it,” Dana hopped off the window sill and stepped into her heels once again, “Give me a second to tell Meredith I’m going though. That way they don’t waist or look for me, when they are ready to leave.”
Dana smiled and slipped out of the room, finding Meredith quickly and telling her in a quiet whisper that she was leaving, before joining D.J. once again. “So what kind of clothing would one need for this place?” Dana asked pulling out her wand and trying to think of something nice, comfortable and cool-looking to wear, “I mean what kind of music do they play there? Would jeans or a skirt be better? Oh, the questions a girl has to meet!”
Dana grinned ironically and turned to glance at D.J. to see what she would wear: “I start liking this idea more and more as I think of it.”
D.J. smiled, glad Dana accepted. After Dana went and told Julien and Meredith she was going out for a bit ,D.J. scrawled a quick note and called Paula, asked her to give the note to her mother. It simply stated that she was tired and wouldn't liked to be bothered. As Dana returned, Paula left, and D.J. was well on her way up to her room, dragging Dana along with her. The red covered wooden staircase was long and winded upward to the second story, once reaching the top it was just a row of doors on either side of the walls. Throwing open the nearest one on the left, she went into her perfect room. It was too fancy, so she continued to her larger walk in closet, having two. She flicked something on the wall, and red and yellow lights filled the closet. This was her actual room, she spent most of her time in here. Two butterfly chairs sat in opposite corners, a television was mounted on the wall, and she had a stereo below it. A small fridge stood against the opposite wall, and there was a lava lamp on top of that, "Here's my actual room. And behind that door there is my clubbing clothes, we seem to be about the same size...find anything you want in there, and wear it. I already have my outfit..."D.J. explained as she grabbed at the white dress that hung in the far corner, and her white boots. The dress had a black belt sewn on, and it reached across her waist, it looked rather '70's but, D.J. liked it.
"I'll go change in the bathroom, you can change in here..." She left the room and went into another door that joined the white marble bathroom with the bedroom. Her heels clinked on the marble flooring, and the flourescent lights blinded her. She slipped out of her red dress, and slipped into the white one, and the boots. She braided her hair into two pig tails and tied them with white ribbons. She took out the ruby earrings, and put in diamonds. She replaced the necklace that was around her neck with a white braided rope. Doing her make-up rather quickly, D.J. left the bathroom and sat down at her vanity. She sprayed some of her perfume on her, and then looked at the shelves of purses. Pushing a button, the shelves moved and showed other purses. Stopping the button, D.J. grabbed a white wallet purse. She opened it and counted the money, 100 pounds. Enough for one night at the Village. The Village was the only club worth going to around here, it had at least 5 pedestals. And each one had a special effect, one pedestal D.J. often danced on, had rain. Though she didn't get wet when she danced on it. Another one had snow or something like that, and then there was one where you were like dancing in the stars.

Dana grinned as D.J. dragged her along o what seemed like her room. Her ‘actual room’ as she named it was nice – at least Dana thought so, before she turned to listen what D.J. was telling her. D.J. left and Dana stepped to the wardrobe, going through some clothes absent-mindedly. Suddenly she noticed something black and red in the corner of the cupboard and kneeling down, Dana pulled it out. The skirt looked as if it hadn’t been worn for years, but Dana felt drawn to it immediately. Grinning and finding a red-blouse as well as boots for herself Dana dressed quickly, before stepping in front of the mirror and observing how she looked.
The skirt she had found was ankle-length and flew around her legs nicel. It was a black skirt with red roses randomly covering it, but the roses seemed so life-like that you could almost swear you saw them moving in a wind. The dress was accompanied with a red long-sleeved blouse, which had a deep V-necked collar and was a bit corset-like with a black ribbon perfectly outlining the down-side of Dana’s chest. Including knee-length black heeled boots with small red flowers scarcely on them as well, Dana looked like a gypsy and the look fit her tanned skin and big dark eyes and hair. It gave a bit magical impression but it wasn’t too fancy – fit denough to go clubbing in Dana’s opinion.
Using her wand to apply magical red lipstick and to shadow her eyes, Dana completed her look. She usually preferred to put on make-up the muggle style, as it held and looked better, but this was alright for now as well. Dana took the muggle money she had along – just in case about 75 pounds– and placed it into a hidden pocket in the skirt along with her wand, before moving to the room, where D.J. was. “Hey, awesome dress!” Dana said smiling at D.J. and sincerely admiring the dress, before spreading her arms and doing a quick twirl, “These clothes look presentable enough? The skirt looked as if it hadn’t been worn in years. The blouse was rather in back as well, so I figured I could use them.”
Dana flashed a grin towards D.J.: “I’m ready to go if you are. Will we have to sneak out of the window or will we use the door? Anyway – just show the way and I’ll follow.”
Dana shrugged – she had enough practice of sneaking out late at night herself, even though Meredith and Julien were rather liberate, so neither option would be very hard. Even though heels, both girls wore, would slow them down a bit while climbing out of the window.

"Egh, climbing out that window? No. Definitely not. This house is old, and when I say old I mean, historic. There are secret passages that lead out into the garden, the maze, and the courtyard. Either way, we're out of here." D.J. answered as she flicked the lightswitch, closed the closet door, and made her way out into the well lit hallway. She looked down both of the hallways, trying to remember if it was the west or east hallway that led to the elevator. She had ventured down the hallways and escaped through the elevator many times when she was young, just to avoid Mass. Finally deciding that it was the east wing, she made her way down the dimmer hallway, running her hands against the walls, trying to find an eneven break.
"There's an elevator here somewhere...i just have to- AHA!" D.J. exclaimed, but instantly clamped her hand to her mouth, waiting for her mother to charge up the stairs. When 5 mintues went by and no one came, D.J. dropped her hand and pressed on the uneven wall. It slid sideways, revealing a rather large elevator. D.J. smiled and stepped inside, waited for Dana to as well, then pressed a piece of the wall, it closed. She looked at the series of buttons on the wall in front of her, and pressed three. One that said; "Sneak" One that said; "Village" and one that said; "Courtyard." It was the stupid system her mother had thought up, she didn't know if her mother remembered the elevator, but D.J. used it often.
The elevator dropped, rather fast, and then stopped, making them jump slightly. The door slid open to reveal a maze that led out to the street. She looked over the hedges and hurriedly found the way out of the maze, checking back to see if Dana had followed. Why had the elevator brought them to the maze instead of the courtyard? D.J. sat there pondering this when she ran into someone, a shriek escaped her lips, but her mouth was shut immediatly by someone's hand over it. D.J. lifted her eyes to see Matthew Harrison. Biting his hand, D.J. stepped away, nearly running into Dana. Catching herself, she grabbed Dana's hand and gently pulled her out into the street, Matt following behind them. When they had walked about 2 blocks away from the house, D.J. turned on Matt, confused, "What are you doing here?" She whispered harshly, Matt shrugged, "Dana this is Matthew Harrison, the owner of the Village's son. Matt this is Dana Coran a friend of mine from school." Matt nodded his head in greeting before walking away. D.J. rolled her eyes and looked at Dana with an expression that said, kill me now.

Dana followed D.J. looking around the old mansion rather curiously. Meredith and Julien had modern techniques as well as muggle ones, so she liked to look around in older wizarding mansions. “Nice house,” Dana commented to D.J. as they ended up in the maze. When D.J. jumped suddenly at running into someone, Dana already had her wand whipped out and ready to hex. She put it away though, when she saw that D.J. seemed to know the guy. The guy noticed it and raised an eye-brow towards Dana, which was answered by Dana by just as arrogant rise of her eye-brow.
“Matthew Harrison. It’s a pleasure,” Dana answered calmly with a smile, that turned into a frown as the guy just turned and started to walk away. He looked nice enough though, so Dana grinned when D.J. sent her a look that was almost asking ‘kill me now’. “Meet my cousin and you’ll think he’s the nicest and most polite guy in the world,” Dana shrugged, showing that Matthew’s behavior hadn’t really influenced her. Instead she just grinned and looked around: “So where is the club? AH! I already see the sign!”
Dana had noticed a sign that indicated where the Village was and she started heading that way. Matthew had stopped and waited them at the entrance of the club so he granted free entrance to them both, although Dana suspected that was more for D.J. than her. And why shouldn’t it be – D.J. was his friend after all. “This place is great!” Dana told D.J. with a broad grin after a quick glance over the club-room and a quick inspection of the podiums. Dana grinned at D.J. not really bothering to glance at Matthew, who had been rude before and throwing her arms high danced further away, letting her hips swing freely and smiling at some guys who looked or smiled or waved to her.
Dancing with a couple of them Dana looked around to see D.J. but not really seeing her at the moment, didn’t mind when she as helped on the podium with stars. Twirling so her skirt flared around, Dana looked around and smiled and waved quickly, now noticing D.J. from her higher position and started to move to the rhythm. And the stars looked nice with her outfit as well, turning her into a really magical vision. Closing her eyes, Dana let her body take over and just enjoyed the thrill of music blasting through her and moving her body.

D.J. smiled up at Dana, starting to make her way to the rain pedestal, but stopping when she saw Matt at the bar. She made her way towards him, threw her purse down and glared at the boy, "What is up with you?" She asked harshly, Matt raised an eyebrow at her, and ordered himself a water before standing up and making his way to the back of the bar. D.J. rolled her eyes again and made her way to the pedestal. Getting up on the rain one she smiled at Dana. Raising her voice over the loud music, "Hey! Scottie! When's the dance competition?!" Scottie looked up, and put his hand up, indicating in five minutes. D.J. nodded and continued to dance, her hands tapping her hips and moving to the music. In two minutes her blonde hair was loose and she was dancing with a guy she normally danced with.
"HEY HEY HEY! It's midnight! Everybody clear the floor! Find a partner and dance, come on! Winner gets a prize!" Scottie spoke into the microphone. D.J. hopped down and made her way towards Dana, surveyed the crowds and picked out a guy she had gone out with once, "Find a partner, and doh ci doh, aye?" D.J. remarked with a laugh as she led the guy to the dance floor. She looked to her right at Dana, wondering who she was going to choose. D.J. threw her hands up in the air and moved with Sam, her hips swaying to the music. D.J. was used to the contests, she never won, but they were loads of fun.
"Aye! Having fun?!" She yelled over the loud music to Dana who was dancing next to her ((sorry for the g-moding bit)). She was glad Dana had come, she had wanted to bring a friend to teh Village forever...it was just the matter of bringing one to her house, that she had to surpass, "Hey, it's not the Inferno! BUt, it's okay!" She added with a small laugh. D.J. had gone to the Inferno, a club Jordan had introduced her to, and she knew Dana was somehow related to the owner. The Inferno was a good club, D.J. enjoyed going, but the Village was her home.

Dana smiled as D.J. ordered her to find a partner so she looked around. Seeing a boy who looked rather good on the dance-floor Dana motioned him to come to her and started to dance with her in near D.J. who looked really good with her partner. “Jacques is still starting up the place,” Dana answered to D.J. and moved without problems, discovering quickly that the guy she had selected couldn’t answer her moves with the same, so Dana dismissed him, “Jacques owns the ‘Inferno’ – he’s a cousin and thanks to that I got to go around to night-clubs starting from when I turned 13. So I’ve had some practice with these places. But this place has GOT to be one of the best clubs I’ve ever been to! I love this place!”
Dana looked around and grinned seeing Matthew retreating form the dance-floor as his partner seemed to have left a moment earlier: “I think I’m going to ask ‘mr. hot-shot’ to a dance to see how good he actually is. No offence to your friend though!”
Dana moved over to Matthew and tapped his shoulder, causing the guy to turn on his heel. Without saying a word Dana raised an eye-brow and cocked her head towards the dance-floor with a challenging look.
Matthew hesitated for a moment, but the turned and placed his arm around Dana’s waist as they started to move together. Starting off easier Dana dictated the moves which were followed perfectly by Matthew and Dana grinned. They were both good and probably looked good enough on the dance-floor today. As the song ended Dana nodded: “I have to admit that you were better than I expected. Nice dance.”
Dana turned and left feeling Matthew’s eyes on her back for a moment before she was approached by some other guy who pulled Dana to dance with him as the music was already playing.
Dana grinned as she caught D.J.’s eyes fro a second and grinned befre loosing herself to the dance once again.
((No problem))
