Vanessa spread out her arms and twirled around in the open field of the Nicholson's back yard. Her brown hair flew behind her in soft wind and a smile was spread across her face. The little flirty skirt she wore fluffed out as she twirled and engulfed her knees in a bright yellow ocean. She fell to the floor and laid down, looking up at the sky through Sunflowers. The clouds moved swiftly and gently over the sparlkling blue sky. It was warm, and this was good. It was a great day to set up the Talent Theatre. She just hoped Jasmine could make it to help set up.
"Vanessa! Get up and help me lift this curtain!" Taylor's voice sounded from some far off distance by the forest that ended their boundries of a backyard. Vanessa sat up and looked around her in all directions and smiled as she spotted her little aunt trying to lift up the golden curtain on to the wooden edges. She stood up and brushed the grass and dirt off her skirt before making her way over to her aunt, who was now having great difficulty at putting the curtain up. The little lady was soon smotherd in a gold sea, and she was squealing from underneath it. Vanessa giggled, and bent down to pick up the rod that held the curtain together. Sliding that onto place, Vanessa latched the rod down by the locks on the wooden edges, tugged on the curtain to see if it was sturdy, and stepped back.
"Not bad, Munchkin." Matthew stepped onto the platform with a smile and kissed the top of Vanessa's head. Vanessa beamed and looked at the curtain that wasn't falling, not like it had the first years she had tried to set it up. Taylor stood up with a sigh, and flattened her hair that had become frizzley from the static electricity. She put her hand on Vanessa's shoulder and smiled as well. It was something they all took pride in. Everyone in town knew about Taylor's Talent Theatre, it was legend and tradition. When Vanessa's mom was alive, Taylor and her ran the Talent Theatre together, and after her death, Taylor closed it down for what she thought would be forever.
Vanessa sighed with mourning and turned to step off the platform. She walked down the steps, and headed back towards the old fashioned Victorian house. It stood in front of her with grandness and loomed with such elegance that made Vanessa yearn for company. She quickly looked at her watch and wondered what time Jasmine was going to arrive. She also had invited Chad, but that was his choice, and Jasmine's whether or not he would come. Vanessa sighed again, opened the back screen door, and entered the old country kitchen. Freshly made pink lemonade sat in the middle of the medium sized brown round table and a vase of freshly picked sunflowers stood next to that. Taking a glass from the cupboard above the sink, Vanessa poured herself a glass of lemonade and stuck a lemon in it before taking a drink.

Jasmine entered through the slide doors as her and Chad walked into Wall Mart. They were supposed to get some stuff for the design of the talent show. Walking over to the flowers section Jasmine picked up a couple banquets of fake roses and walked around to find Chad. "He’s probably in the food department." Jasmine told herself and turned the corner to see Chad coming down the isle with a cart full of food. "Hey sis I got the food." Chad yelled picking up some more of the chocolate and putting it into the cart. Jasmine laughed and gestured for her brother to follow her to where she had spotted some neon lights. Walking through the large crowds of people they finally arrived into his toys department. "How about these lights Chad?" Jasmine said Chad holding up a pair of white and gold lights. All Chad did was put his hand to his chin and smiled, "I like them and how bout this disco ball?" Chad said walked over to the self and reaching for the small disco ball. Jasmine eyes twinkled as she looked at it and a big smile spread across her face. "Just prefect now we better get a move on." Jasmine said rushing back through the crowds of people again.
A few minutes later Jasmine found herself in the front seat of Chards car with her head pressed against the window. It was a beautiful day and Jasmine could feel butter flies flutter around in her stomach. Gulping she turned towards the stereo and her favorite song jumped out of the speakers around her.
"You held my hand and walked me home, I know Why you gave me that kiss it was something like this it made me go ooh ohh You wiped my tears, got rid of all my fears, why did you have to go? Guess it wasn't enough to take up some of my love Guys are so hard to trust Did I not tell you that I'm not like that girl? The one who gives it all away
Did you think that I was gonna give it up to you, this time? Did you think that it was somethin I was gonna do and cry? Don't try to tell me what to do, Dont try to tell me what to say, You're better off that way
Don't think that your charm and the fact that your arm is now around my neck Will get you in my pants I'll have to kick your ass and make you never forget I'm gonna ask you to stop, thought I liked you a lot, but I'm really upset Get out of my head get off of my bed yeah thats what I said Did I not tell you that I'm not like that girl, the one who, throws it all away" The stereo sounded making the car vibrate a little.
As the green pastures went by Jasmine smiled and looked up at Chad who was looking out the window. A sly smiled spread across her face and she looked out the window as well. "I know you like Vanessa it’s so easy to tell." Jasmine said quietly as she than moved to the side as the car went to the other lane and back again. Chad than looked down at her with a confused look on his face. "Yes and how is that so?" He spoke and turned his eyes back to the road and turning down a long path. "You look at her with wonting eyes that just scream out to me that you like her." Jasmine said sighing and wishing her crush liked her. Chad said nothing and turned down into a drive way where a nice little house lay with a sun flower garden lay.
Her stomach began to do some flip flop motions and she turns off the stereo and jumped out of the car. Jasmine looked down at what she was wearing, a nice faded out jeans with strap less tank top that went over her jeans to her middle tigh. Smiling she pulled her hair over her shoulder and went up to the front door with Chad next to her carrying all the things that they had bought. She rang not he door bell and waited patiently for Vanessa to answer.

"Vanessa? Is that the-"
"I GOT IT!" She screamed back at her Aunt before skidding down the hall and flipping off her flip flops. They landed perfectly next to the door with a soft "plop!" And Vanessa smiled with delight as she slid around another corner, into the living room, grabbed her lemonade she had forgotten and went back into the entry hall. She nearly collided into her piano, but stopped just in time and then made her way to the door. She opened it and quickly pulled Chad and Jasmine in.
"This place is a mad house! The neighbors see visitors and it's like your moving in! Come in quickly!" She said as she pulled them in and closed the door swiftly behind her. Vanessa sighed as she put her back to the door and caught her breath. She then looked up and smiled, grabbed her lemonade and hugged Jasmine. This was what she wanted, her best-friend to see her house, the place she adored.
Taylor walked in, wiping her small hands on the apron that was now around her waist, and smiled at the new comers. Her dark hair was pulled into a tight bun, and she wore 25 pearls on a string around her neck. Her late husband had given it to her and she treasured it more than anything. The motherly side came over her as she spotted Vanessa in the same room as a boy, she raised her eyebrows at the 15 year old girl and then turned her attention back to the company.
"Would you guys like anything to eat? Drink? We have freshly squeezed lemonade and I just put some cookies in the oven. Matthew should be in soon from installing the sound system at the stage, you should take them outside Vanessa, it's a gorgeous day. Will you be staying Jasmine? The Talent theatre never ends early." Taylor asked with a welcoming smile. She had heard lots of stories from Vanessa about Jasmine, and she was enjoying the fact that Vanessa was becoming more social.
"Did I hear something about cookies?" Matthew stomped his feet on the mat beside the sliding door and looked up at the people in the entryway. Vanessa smiled at her Uncle and shook her head. Always thinking about his stomach, she thought with a laughing gleam in her eyes. Taylor slapped Matthew with a dish towel and went back to the kitchen to get drinks. Many people thought Matthew and Taylor were married, but if you knew them personally you knew that they were brother and sister. Vanessa laughed and kissed her Uncle on the cheek before making him go into the kitchen, he smiled, took the bags from Chad and left the friends alone.
"That was my Aunt Taylor and my Uncle Matthew. As you can tell they're...very...um welcoming." Vanessa told them with a roll of her eyes. She laughed and led them into the living room. White cream carpet squished between her toes, and she giggled as she sat down on the light blue couch that was along one side of the room. She curled her feet up under her and motioned for them to sit down.
"This, is gonna be great!" She exclaimed with an excited gleam in her eyes.

Jasmine smiled as Vanessa pulled her and Chad into her house and leaning up against the door behind her. "Wow you are that poplar." Jasmine teased and looked up at Chad who was looking aroun nervously. She elbowed him in the stomach and laugh as he grabbed his stomach. "You dork you couldnt come any nicer or greet her." Jasmine said with a teasing smiled as she brother tired to lurch forward to give her a nuggie. His ruf hands messed up her hair and she screamed and ran over behind Vanessa and laughing at her actions. She than stood up straight as someone entered the room and asked if she would like anything. Turning her head at Vanessa she just smiled and nooded her head. "Umm I am just fine thank you. Wait she has been talking about me I hope its about something good." Jasmine said with another one of her teasing smiles. She hide more from Chad as he tried to give her another nuggie again.
"Go away you freak! I cant believe you had to come." Jasmine said smiling even more and laughing softly. She didnt mean to be mean to her brother but she always joked around with him. Her smile grew as some one else entered the house and wondered if there were cookies any where. Giggling she turned towards the bags and relized she left her mix CD in the car and her shoulder bag witht he fake roses int hem. Turning towards her brother and pulling on his selve she looked up at him. "Chad I need to keys to get my stuff I totaly forgot about it." Jasmine pleaded and grabbed the keys from her brother and walking out of the house.
Clicking the key to open the doors she looked all around her. It was a really good day and the begginer of spring. She loved winter but it was way to cold to do anything. Sighing she opened the door to the car and looked all around. Her hands wondering around for her shoulder bag and she saw it in the corner of her eye. Smiling she picked it up along witht he roses and closed the door locking it behind her. Jasmine turned on her heels and smiled as the light breze picked up sending her hair in a differnt direction. She still looked around her as the sunflowers field in the distance. It was very pretty and made her eyes twinkle. This reminded her so much of her dream home and she walked inside wipping her feet on the mat so she wouldnt tack any mud in.
Walking into the living room she sat down on the other side of Vanessa and looked over at Chad who looked red again. shaking her head she giggled and pulled her feet under her too. "You have a really good home here Vanessa." Jasmine said looking side her shoulder bag for the mix cd they were to sing. Picking up the clear cd case she handed it to Vanessa with a smile and looked all around her at the living room.

Vanessa laughed and looked around the living room once more as Jasmine said she had a good home. She smiled as she remembered the days her dad and uncle spent building this house. It was maginificent. Vanessa hadn't always lived in the beautiful country side, she lived in the city until she was 3, but she didn't remember much of that. She looked up and took the cds Jasmine was handing her and opened the cover, starting to flip through.
"These are really good! Nothing like my collection. Heck, half my cds are mixes that my mom sang. Nothing like the real thing. The only actual CD I own is The Ramones. And, I listen to that day in and day out. Anyway, there's a few things I have to do before we head out to the Field. You guys can sit here and watch television, or help me clean out the attic and look for the instruments. Whaddya say?" Vanessa asked with a pleading smile, hoping they would choose to help her up in the attic. She scrunched her shoulders up and looked at Chad with deep pleading eyes.
"Now, don't let her trick you into helping her. You guys are the guests, she's the one who's supposed to clean up all that junk in the attic." Taylor set the tray of cookies down on the coffee table in the middle of the room. Vanessa rolled her eyes and stood up, put her hands over her head and stretched up towards the sky. She looked at her friends with a tilted head and waited. Taylor left them with a silent sigh and went back into the kitchen.

Jasmine smiled at Vasnessa complatment about her cds. It took her days just to get them all down on paper and let alone to find the time. Jasmine was always bussy at home with the horses and always off at Hogwarts to learn more about magic. Sighing she pulled her brown hair away from her face and smiled up at Chad as Vanessa asked for them to clean. "hmm what would I rather do clean or watch tv. Which one sounds good." Jasmine said puting her hand ond her chin and staring off into space pretending to think. "Well I am going to help you." Chad said and took up as well and stared at the tray of cookies wondering to take one. Jasmine laughed softly and grabbed her cookie and shoved it into his mouth. "I will help too but this will help him kept his mouth shut." Jasmine said grining and taking her shoulder bag off her shoulder.
She than grabbed a cookie for herself and took a bite of the choclate sweetness. Jasmine had a sweet tooth and always went some where with any sweet sugary treat in her pocket or on her. Smiling she took another and glared at Chad who was about to make a comment. "Stop stuffing you face and help out." he told his sister with one of her teasing smiled. Turning her head to the right she shoved another cookie into his mouth and ran behind Vanessa. "Lets go before he gives me another nuggie." Jasmien whispered in her ear and waited for her to show them the way.

"Goodie! Okay, follow me, oh and watch out for Jasper. The cat who thinks he's a dog."Vanessa grabbed a couple cookies herself, and made her way out of the living room into the entry hall. She hit the C key on her piano, smiled, and then made her way to the stairs that were built into the wall. Pictures hung on the walls of her when she was little. There was one where she was holding a sunflower that was bigger than her. Vanessa remembered that day, that was the day she was sick and the doctor said heat would help the fever come out, so she spent the whole day outside in the Field.
Another picture was one of Vanessa and her mother and father, her mother and father sat across a small round table with a white tablecloth over it, each holding a glass of wine and staring deeply into each others eyes. In the background was a smiling Vanessa when she was 1. She stopped briefly to stare at that picture, but then kept going when she realized they were still behind her. Opening the door to the second floor, Vanessa came into the yellow hallway. There were three doors one the left side of the hallway, and two on the right side. A half table sat on the right side of the hallway with more pictures and a glass vase with marbles in it. The farthest door on the right was Vanessa's room, which was quite messey. She saw the door was opened and ran ahead and quickly closed the white oak door. She smiled, and continued up another flight of stairs. This was the attic.
It was dusty and many things were covered with white cloths, portraits and such. But, most things were in boxes and in bags. Vanessa pulled on a chain that lit the room and showed many things that were hidden in the dark. An old doll house stood in the middle and a long mirror stood in a corner. There was a dresser and a couch that was covered with a white sheet, some clothes on a rack and a few other items that Vanessa recognized.
"Still wanna help?" She asked her friends as she turned to look at them. They had to sort the boxes into size, stack those along one wall, rearrange the dresser and couch into another wall, and then carry all the instruments and such down to the Field. Vanessa wouldn't blame them if they backed out now, she would do so, but she just hoped to God they wouldn't.

Jasmine walked next to Chad and looked all around her at the pictures of the walls. It was like there home and she and Vanessa were so much a like well sort of. Her parnets were still leaving but lived int he united states now. Sighing she striaghten her hair more and followed Vanessa up the stairs into. It was quite dusty and Jasmine sneezed a bit. "Exouse me that always happens around dust. You should see me when I am cleaning out stalls." Jasmine said smiling and sneezing again. Taking a tissue out of her shulder bag she blowed her nose and put the dirty tuse back into the bag not wonting to litter.
"Yeah you should see her when she is celaning out stalls." Chad joked and Jasmine punched in the arm and looked around more int he room. It was quite dirt and untidy and Jasmine itch to make it all work again. She was what you conisder a neat freak and kept things in order. Noded her head at the piles of junk she saw a beautiful guitar in the corner of the room. Her eyes twinkled as she walked over towards it and picked it up. "Oh my goodness this is so beautiful." Jasmine said exaiming the guitar more. Her eyes seemed to sparkle when ever she looked at intrusment. She had always wonted to learn how to play but Lana didnt have enough for that kind of stuff. Sighing she turned towards Vanessa and raised her eyebrows. "Of course we are going to help I wont this all cleaned up and wont to practice before we go onto stage." Jasmine said with a smile and turned her head over towards Chad.
He had wondered off to the other side of the room at a set of drums. Rolling her eyes she walked over next to him as he touched the drums lightly. "This is really cool Vanessa." Chad said and looked around the attic again. Jasmine sighed and turned towards Vanessa wondering what to do again. But yet again she sneezed and wiped her noise. "Aww I hate dust but I am not leaving you two alone. I dont turst you two alone together." Jasmine said with a teasing smile and stood where she was wondering waht to do next.

Vanessa's eyes widened as Jasmine held up a guitar. it was her mothers and Vanessa had been looking everywhere for it. It was a black guitar and she remembered her mom playing that at the talent theatre many years ago. She smiled as she took the guitar from Jasmine and put the strap on over her head, and started to play softly. When Chad touched the drumset in the corner, Vanessa's eyes flashed to the drum sticks on the dresser. She set the guitar down and picked up the drumsticks.
"Here, do you know how to play? Or is it strictly sports for you?" She asked as she took Chad's hand and put the drum sticks in them, then curled his fingers over the wooden sticks. She raised an eyebrow, then looked at Jasmine who seemed to be lost on what to do. Vanessa sighed, turned towards the boxes and started to stack them. Her eyes wandered around the room for an empty space, saw it then put the boxes down there.
"Okay how about we put all the boxes over here? Then, we'll move the couch and dresser to this wall here, and then put the boxes by size on the wall they used to be at?" Vanessa suggested as she pulled her hair up with the rubber bands that were around her wrist. Her hair had grown some since she had cut it and it was long enough to put up into a pony tail. She then put her hands on her hips and shook her head at the mess that had gathered over the years. They were never going to finish this.

Chad looked at Vanessa as she handed him the drum sticks. Taking the stick he curled his hand over Vanessas and smiled sweetly at her and set the sticks down ready for some hard labor moving. He walked over towards the dresser and picked it up and dragged it over towards the walll Vanessa had pointed to. After it had been seat he wiped the sweat off his forehead and turned towards the girls who were working on the boxes, "Hey you two are magical why cant you use magic to clean up this mess." Chad asked walking over towards the couch and looked up at Jasmine who was going to help him.
Jasmine stared up at her brother and rolled her eyes. "Havent I told you that before. Vanessa and I are too young but next year you better watch your back." Jasmine said with a teasing smile and helped Chad pick up the couch. Side steeping towards the wall she took deep breaths and set the couch down and sat down. Wiping the bands of sweat that gathered on her forehead she sighed. "Man that sure was heavy." Jasmine said leaning back more on the couch.
Jasmine rolled her head towards the right and noticed a nice paino in the corner of the room. She looked at it with a courious look as Chad helped Vanessa sort the boxes. Jasmine stood up and moved some boxes out of her way and sat down on the stool and ran over hand over the paino. Her eyes twinked more and she touch a key and music came out. Smiling she closed her eyes as she continued to play one of her other favroite songs.
"um....um.... Some people live for the fortune some people live for just for the fame some people live for the power(yeah) some people live just to play the game some people think that the physical things define what's within and i bet that before that life's adore are full of the superficial" Jasmine sang out not leting her voice die.
As Chad was picking up the box he heard a noise coming from one corner of the room. He smiled at Jasmine as she started to sing and he walked over towards Vanessa and smiled. "I never seeen her that happy before." He told her and set the box down and looked at his sister best friend.

"Magic? Oh! I am so stupid! I forgot my Aunt and Uncle were magical. Well, it's not like they'd help anyway.." Vanessa said as Chad asked why they didn't use magic. She then laughed at Jasmine's answer and went down on her knees as she began to sort out boxes. She pulled a medium sized box and opened it. Going through all the costumes she had worn for Halloween, she pushed that box aside and looked up as music filled the attic.
She stood up, wiped the dust on her skirt and looked as Jasmine played the piano and sang. Vanessa smiled and closed her eyes, listening to her friends voice filling the empty space. She then opened her eyes as Chad said something to her. She looked at him quizically and tilted her head and smiled.
"Miracle isn't it? What friends can do? Life is so, horrible that everyone needs someone who loves them, cares for them, and is there for them. She has you. And from the looks of it, you bring light into her life." Vanessa responded with a small smile and flip of her stomach. She then picked up another box, and stacked that ontop of the one Chad had put down. She headed over to Jasmine, sat down next to her and started to play and sing with her.
"Some people want it all, but I don't want nothing at all." Vanessa smiled and nudged Jasmine lightly as she started to play faster.

Jasmine noticed Vanessa sit next to her and she shot her a bright smile. Noded her head she changed the song and started to play a slow and soundful beat. Taking a deep breathe from her gut and closing her eyes as she continued to play.
"I sit and wait does an angel contemplate my fate and do they know the places Where we go when we're grey and old 'cos I've been told that salvation lets their wings unfold So when I'm lying in my bed thoughts running through my head And i feel that love is dead I'm loving angels instead
And through it all he offers me protection a lot of love and affection Whether I'm right or wrong and down the waterfall Wherever it may take me I know that life won't break me When I come to call he won't forsake me I'm loving angels instead
When I'm feeling weak and my pain walks down a one way street I look above And I know I'll always be blessed with love and as the feeling grows He breathes flesh to my bones and when love is dead I'm loving angels instead" Jasmine sang and didnt let her voice break.
While Jasmine had been singing Chad walked over towards the girls and put his arm on Vanessa and Jasmine shoulder and listened to the music. Once his sister had finshed she walked over towards the boxes and knelled down and started to sort of stuff that lay inside. A smile was on his face and Jasmine turned around and raised her eyebrows at him. "We should really get a move on so I can watch Chad put up the lights." Jasmine told Vanessa and knelled down next to her brother.

Vanessa smiled and nodded in agreement with Jasmine. She kicked the final box into place and nodded. Now the only thing left was the instruments. She put her index finger to her chin and tapped it rhthymically. She then pointed it up towards the ceiling, went to a rectangular object on the wall, pressed a button and waited.
Seconds later a beep sounded back, and Vanessa smiled. She pressed the button again but this time spoke into it. It was an intercom system, Taylor and Matthew didn't like yelling going on in the house so they installed the intercom system two years ago. It was very handy when you didn't want to climb two flights of stairs to tell your uncle something.
"Can we leave the instruments up here and have Uncle get them? They're pretty heavy and I'm afraid to break them." Vanessa said into the box. There was a bit of crackling form the speaker and then Taylor said it was fine and to leave them and that lunch was downstairs. Vanessa shrugged, took her finger off the button and turned to face Jasmine and Chad.
"Lunch, lights, and rehearsal." She grabbed the guitar off the couch, swung it over her shoulder and headed to the door. After they headed downstairs, she turned off the light and followed after them. Vanessa set the guitar by her bedroom door, and continued to the kitchen. The wind chimes were blwoing softly in the wind and shot sparkly reflections on the walls. She smiled, took a glass of lemonade off the table and headed outside to the Field.

Jasmine sighed with relief as eveything was unpacked and neat. A smile came on her face but she sneezed yet again and took out a tissue and blew her nose. "Awww I hate the dust." Jasmine said puting the seoncd tissue in her shoulder bag and turning to glance at the paino. She wonted to continued to play but she needed to help her friend and music could wait. Pushing back the itching to play she turned towards the itnercum and turned her head to the right slightly. "Dude we should get one of those. So I can scream at you when you are in the bath room for too long." Chad told Jasmine and she glared at him and laughed. "Yeah right like we have the money for that now." Jasmine said elbowing him in the stomach again and runing over towards Vanessa and grabbing her shoulder and hiding behind her friend for protection.
Jasmine and Chad followed Vanessa out of the attic and she could feel her nose clear up and she could breathe again. Taking a deep breath she smiled and let her mind rush. She moranly thought about Qudidditch these days but other things have been draging into her mind and wouldnt escpae. Sighing she pulled back her brown hair and listened to the sound of the chimes. Closing her eyes she walked outside and a silent but yet sweet breeze hit her sending her hair in another direction. Opening her eyes she saw beautiful sun flowers and a really big smile was on her face. Her breathe had caught and she grabbed Vaenssa hand and ran over towards the giant flowers.
"Oh my gosh I wished I lived here. These flowers are beautiful!" Jasmine proclaimed not leting the sound of excitement leave her voice. Jasmine than collected herself and walked into the garten and turned in all diretion and took a deep breathe of the flowers. The wind still blew her hair all over the palce but Jasmine didnt mind she rather enjoyed the wind and she started to spin. After she felt dizzy she turned towards Chad who was trying to grab Vanessa hand and she ran in-between them and looked at them. "Lunch I am really hungry lets go." Jasmien said smiling. She didnt wont her brother and her best friend to go out it would be a little strange.

Vanessa crossed her arms as she looked out past the sunflower field. Her eyes narrowed as she continued to gaze out deeper into the dark forest that loomed behind the sunflowers with darkness and power. She sighed and tucked some hair behind her ear before she stepped down onto the porch and sat on the chairswing. Jasmine was excited and started to spin in circles out in the Field, Vanessa laughed at this. She did that often enough also. She started to swing back and forth as the wind began to pick up again.
Her mind was mainly focused on the Salvations letter for her that she had recieved only days ago. The words of her inheriting so much money had reached her eyes and she couldn't believe what she was reading. 1 million dollars a year was too much. She didn't know what she would do with it, or worse yet how she would be able to be responsible with it. Vanessa sighed and stood up as the thoughts proceeded across her mind. She leaned on the railing next to Chad and smiled.
"Sure, they're beautiful now. See them in the winter, she won't think that then." Vanessa told him with a small chuckle. She looked out onto the field again, still thinking about the 10,000 dollars she wanted to give to Jasmine and Chad. But, she didn't know how to give that kind of money to them. With a snap of her fingers, before Chad could grab her hand, and after Jasmine ran inbetween them, declaring lunch, she just realized the perfect way.
"Okay, and I have your Christmas present Jasmine. I realized I never got you one." Vanessa smiled and pulled her friend by the hand inside, she sat her down at the nearest chair. She went to the desk, opened the top, took out a check book, and a pen. Flipping to the nearest empty page, she scrawled all the necessary things on the necessary places, signed her name, and handed the check to Jasmine. She held her breath, waiting for her friend's reaction.

Jasmine smiled up at Chad who was looking rather disapointed. Sighing she followed Vanessa to a near by chair and sat down. Rasing her eyebrows at her friend she wondered what she was up to. It couldnt be anything that bad maybe some lyrics that she wonted to show her. Smiling she corssed her legs and looked up at Chad with a confused look on her face. Gulping she took the letter and she started to shake. Her eyes teared with water and Chad took the piece of paper from the stunned Jasmine. "We cant take this." Chad told Vanessa and handed it back to her with a forced smile on his face.
Jasmine leaned back in her chair dumb sturcked. Ten thousand dollars was a lot and could pay off some of the house bills that lana was having trouble to pay. Sighing she closed her eyes and her hair flyed with the wind. "We cant take it Vanessa and dont you dare try to give it back to us." Jasmine said not wonting to be that harsh but she couldnt take the money. Tears stung her eyes and she took a sip of the lemonade that was in front of her. Taking a deep drink she sat it down and look up at Chad and nooded her head.

"No, you don't understand. You take it. It's yours. 20,000 has already gone to three charities, and the 70,000 more is going to be used for this place. That money right there, is my gift to you. I don't know what I would do with it. You two can split it fifty fifty. 5,000 for Jasmine, 5,000 for Chad. Or you can even split it into thirds." Vanessa said, giving the check back to Jasmine. She raised an eyebrow and sat down, looking at her friend. Maybe she should explain what was going on here.
"When I was born, my mum and dad made an investment in me. I have over 10 million dollars in my name. Each year I get one million. That's a lot of money for a 15 year old. Please, I want to give this to you. And f you think this is a lot, you haven't seen half of it. It's a lot of responisibility on me, and I need someone to share it with." Vanessa tried to explain. She raised her right shoulder up to her ear, she did this when she was either worried, or sincere.
"Besides, you can't turn money down from 'Nessa. She'll always end up giving it someway or another, either through little gifts or little spurts of money here and there. She'll get it to you. Now eat up. Sandwhiches aren't staying fresh you know." Taylor ran some water and piled some dirty dishes into the sink. Vanessa laughed lightly and turned back to Jasmine and Chad.
"And, Vanessa, if they don't take the money. Then it can always go to your Harvard and Julliard savings." Taylor told her as she turned towards the small group and leaned up against the counter. Vanessa turned to look at her Aunt and gave her a look that said, 'shush!' Taylor only shrugged and went back to cleaning the counters as Vanessa sighed and shook her head slightly. She closed her eyes, trying to think of a way to get them to listen to her and take the money, when she heard a familiar sound of a certain song. She opened her eyes, pushed back her chair and left the kitchen to the Field.
"No way." She whispered as Jasmine, Chad, Taylor and Matthew joined her on the back porch. She put her hand over her eyebrows and looked into the distance, shielding her eyes from the sun. Vanessa smiled lightly and walked down the steps into the field where she made her way over to the stage. She couldn't believe. What was he doing here?
"I've done everything you say, I followed her rules without question. I thought it would help me see things clearly, but instead of helping me to see, I look around and it's like I'm blinded. I'm spinning out of control...out of control. 'm spinning out of control...out of control." Aryeh's voice sang into the microphone and Vanessa tilted her head at the memory of that song. When the band, Foxchase was it name, finished, Vanessa went up to the stage and threw her arms around her best-guy-friend.
"You're supposed to be at Yale!" She told him as she pulled away, she then looked back at her other two friends who were there and motioned them over. Vanessa shook her head in disbelief.
