(( This is a more formal event, dress nicely, or don't show up! ))
Pansy walked into the enormous kitchen and scowled. Both her parents were still sitting at the marble dinning table! "You were supposed to be GONE by now!" Pansy hissed as she stormed over to the table and glared at her father. "Our meeting was pushed back an hour dear, we'll be leaving soon and the house will be yours" her mother said as she handed her plate to a house elf. Clenching her fists tightly, Pansy turned and stormed out of the kitchen and into the entry way. There a house elf was leading three wizards and a witch into the house. "What ARE YOU DOING!?" Pansy screamed at Pomly. The little house elf trembled and spoke up "this is the band, Booms of Light, master said she wanted a band..." Pansy glared at the elf and raised a fist, "I said THE WEIRD SISTERS! Not Booms of Light! Explain yourself!" Pomly the elf shuffled his feet, "sorry master, the Weird Sisters were not available today, Pomly got the next best band, please don't be mad at Pomly master..." Two loud *POPS* from the kitchen informed Pansy that her parents had finally left. Looking at Booms of Light, she sighed. "Fine then, go set up outside by the garden" she said as she pointed out a large window to an grassy area overlooking a large valley. "Pomly! Assist them!"
Walking back into the kitchen, Pansy found Fima at the stove. "Fima!" Pansy shrieked causing the house elf to jumped nearly a foot. "I want the lunch served exactly at 11! Put the food on the marble table, we'll be eating outside in the garden. Then bring in the crystal table from the study, put it there by the corner, I expect the deserts to be laid out on that table at precisely 11:20!"
Spinning around and looked at the large clock on the wall, Pansy had only 15 minutes left before the first guests would be arriving. Quickly she walked up the elegant staircase and off to her bedroom. Inside she found her house elf Lina waiting on her bed with three dresses. "Master must hurry and pick one" the elf said while holding up the dresses. Picking up the first one, a blue dress Pansy inspected it. Holding it up to the mirror she frowned and then threw it on the floor. Grabbing the next one, a silver one she again held it up. "This one" she said as she kicked her shoes off into the corner of the room. "What about this one master?" Lina asked while holding up a red dress. "I ALREADY picked THIS one!" Pansy said as she glared at the elf. "Now pick up that dress, and my shoes and put them away!" Pansy said while pointing the blue dress on the floor.
After she had finished changing, Pansy turned and left her room and proceeded downstairs and into the living area where she found Pomly standing around. "POMLY! Get to the bar now! Get the bottles of fire whiskey, ciders, chardonnay, and champagne" Pansy screamed from across the room. "Pardon me master, but your parents would be most upset with Pomly if I let you have those, they were insistent you not drink until you're 17." Pansy stopped and glared at her house elf, her knuckles turning white as she clenched her fists. "Get them! NOW!" She yelled as she heard the sound of her fireplace activate, someone was coming!
"Fima!" Pansy shrieked and soon the elf came running in. "Go to the fireplace! Someone is coming, greet them, bring them in here!" Pansy then took a deep breath, sighed and looked in a large mirror checking to be sure she was beautiful. Then turning, she crossed the room and sat down on one of many large white couches, awaiting her first guest.

Hendrix Night was sitting on the deck of her grandmother’s house sunbathing, she was stretched out in her black bikini, black shades on, staring up. The tap, tap, tap of a cane against the cold stone roused her, “Hello grandmother,” she said not looking in her direction. “Good morning Hendrix. I see you are busy today. Have you mastered that spell I set for you?” she asked in her cold crackling voice. Georgia walked slowly to a nearby chair and lowered herself gently into. She stared at Hendrix. “Of course I have. Two days ago in fact,” Hendrix said and sat up. “Take off those shades when you are addressing me,” Georgia told her. Hendrix immediately obeyed. She stared back at her grandmother, her eyes as cool and glasses as the old woman who sat across from her. Hendrix was the only person, other than Grant, her stepbrother, who could hold Georgia’s stare and not pay for it dearly.
“Where is Grant?” Georgia asked, her eyes fixed on Hendrix, “He is in the greenhouse. He came up with a brilliant potion and he’s working on it now.” Georgia smiled, “You see what a good student he is? You should be so studious.” Hendrix leaned back, “I need not spend all my time in the greenhouse. That is Grant’s job. I write the spells, and I know how to use them. Besides today is Pansy’s party and Grant and I are supposed to go. He’ll be late of course.” Georgia smiled, “The Parkinson brat is having some affair and you warranted an invitation Hendrix? What did you do to get it?” she asked snidely. Hendrix smirked, “didn’t you hear? I’m quite the thing in Slytherin. Pansy, Israel, myself, Grant and a few others. That Malfoy boy is included in that,” she laughed. “Draco? The stupid Lucius Malfoy’s boy? The fool got himself caught and sent to Azkaban for his lack of skill.” Georgia was a Death Eater, but she was old now and could not go attacking people as she did years ago. So she helped the Dark Lord other ways.
“Your drink miss?” came the timid voice of a house elf, “Polt! I asked for that ten minutes ago. What took you so long?” Hendrix screeched. “Sorry miss, so sorry miss. I had to put out you dresses of miss’ party. Hendrix snatched the drink from Polt’s hand. He was attempting to slink away when Georgia spoke, “I do not think my granddaughter was finished with you,” she said coldly. Polt stopped and looked at Hendrix, fear in his eyes, “Yes miss?” Hendrix stood, her body was lean and trim, she was very particular about her body, “When I get to my room things had better be as you said or I will have your hide for it! Now, what time is it?” Polt trembled, “It’s...it’s ten minutes to eleven miss.” Polt flew several feet when Hendrix slapped him, “What! I told you to get me at ten thirty!” she screamed. “I’m sorry grandmother but I have to cut this conversation short. I’m late as it is,” she said glaring at Polt who was rubbing his face. Georgia nodded and Hendrix left to get ready.
Hendrix made her way to her room, she took a quick shower and then looked at the dresses Polt has set out for her. “No,” she said and tossed the black dress aside, “not this either,” she said and threw a baby blue dress across the room. Polt stood behind the door, he would be in more trouble if he hadn’t put out a dress that Hendrix couldn’t wear. Finally Hendrix smiled as she came to the next outfit, a red skirt that flared around her knees, and a matching top that laced around her waist, “Perfect!” she said and began to get dressed. Polt snuck out as Hendrix got ready. Twenty minutes later, Hendrix was ready, her red stilettos were on her feet and her hair was done in an elegant bun with tendrils falling around her. She smiled as she looked at herself in the full-length mirror, she then grabbed her purse and left.
She walked down to the den, her grandmother was in their mulling over her potions book, improving on some old ones. “I’m off,” Hendrix said as she grabbed her black cloak. Georgia looked at Hendrix, a smile on her face. If there was one thing that Hendrix possessed that could be attributed to her mother, her beauty and the ability to carry off any outfit flawlessly, “You look lovely my dear,” was all Georgia said before going back to her work. “Tell Grant I’ll see him there will you?” she didn’t expect the question answered but had just said it. She grabbed some Floo Powder, threw it into the fire and stepped in, “Parkinson Estate!” she said commandingly and she was gone. A few minutes later the popping of her emerging in the fireplace at Parkinson Estate was the sign of her arrival. She stood and waited for someone to greet her. A few seconds later a house elf came to greet her, she threw her cloak at him, “Show me to Pansy,” she said absently. “Follow me miss,” it said and she followed it. “Hello Pansy,” Hendrix said, a smile on her face, when she was brought to where Pansy stood.

Dawn layed curled up on her side on her Living room couch. Hardly moving from her resting state a small voice sounded, "Master..? Dear, Master..?" It rang as she slowly opened her eyes. "Quinn, you should know not to wake me up while im sleeping. Exprecially for no reason a'tall." Dawn said in a weak grumbling voice, as she turned to her other side facing away from Quin. "But Master it is 11:30 and you Dear friend Parkinson is having a party." Quinn, Dawn's house elf spoke quite softly trying not to get Dawn mad. A few seconds passed as Dawn layed lifless on the couch, but suddenly she shot up. "Eleven Thirty! Your Kidding me!" Dawn roared as she jumped to her feel and ran up her stairs.
Running up three floors Dawn reached her bed room. She Previous had three dresses layed out, so she could easilly pick one and be on her way. Going to her Bed she turned to her mirror as she held the dresses up to her body. A long dark blue one was the first on. "To, Ball room Gownish!" she said as she threw it to the side. Holding up a deep red dress knee lengh she said, "Red isnt my COLOR!" as she threw it over top of the blue dress. Picking up a black skirt and a white shirt she held it up to herself. "No No NO!" she said as she threw that over top of the two previous dresses. Running out into her hallway Quinn waited by the door. "Im Going to take a shower. Pick out something That would be perfect for me to wear by the time I come out!" She raised her voice as she stormed down the hallway and slamed her door shut.
Quinn walked over towards Dawn's closet and started going through her dresses in a hunt for the best one. Nearly 10 minutes later Dawn emergied from the bath room. Steam floated into the hallway as Dawn came out only in a towel. "Did you pick something?" she asked as she walked into her room. Quinn was standing there holding up a White dress. It slightly hung over the shoulders and it was only knee lenght. Staring at the dress she said, "I didnt know I had this!" as she picked it up and held it against her towel. Quinn Spoke up, "Your Mother forgot to give it to your for your birthday, dear." he said as he left the room. Dawn looked at herself in the mirror as she walked over to her door and closed it.
Nearly 5 minutes later she was sitting at her bed putting on white stilettos heels. Her hair was straight down to her shoulders and the dress fitted her perfect. Her makeup looked fantastic as she grabbed a small white hand bag and went down stairs. Walking elegantly down the spiral metal stair case she went into her living room. Grabbing a hand full of floo powder she said, "Parkinson Estate!" as she left in a poof, into her fireplace.
With a sound of arrival Dawn showed up in Pansy's fireplace. A small house elf was there to greet her. "Bring me to Pansy." Dawn demanded as she followed the elf around the house. He heels clicked on the floor as she finnally reached Pansy. Hendrix was there with her too. Nodding her head she said, "Hello Pansy." Looking to Hendrix. "Hello Hendrix." She said with a smile to them both.

Post by Aden McGrogan on Jul 19, 2004 13:54:21 GMT
It was about 10 o'clock at the McGrogan Manor. Aden lay in his bed with the black sheets covering his wiast and his right leg sticking out. Aden heard some rumbling downstairs so he woke up looking around his room. Aden looked at the clock and said "10. I better start getting ready." Aden stood up and walked around his room. Aden walked up to his stero and turned on some rock. He started dancing to his closet. When he got there Aden opened it up and looked around for something to wear. Aden grabbed a pair of black pants and threw them on his bed while singing to himself "Can I break away?". Aden then grabbed a white shirt and threw it on his bed. He looked around his closet saying "Where is it I know I have it." Then he reached in and grabed a black blazer and said "There it is." Aden threw it on his bed and then walked out of his room shutting the door.
When he got out into the hallway he saw Quinn the house elf walking around. "Quinn I have a shirt and pants in my room on my bed that need to be ironed." Quinn looked at him and said "Yes master." Aden looked at him and said "Thanks." Aden didn't say thanks much but Quinn had been there doing stuff for him since he was born and the elf was more like a freind than a slave. Aden continued walking down the hall towards the bathroom. Aden walked in shutting the door and locking it.
Aden got in and took a shower. Then he stpped out and dryed off. He put the towel around his waist and wipped the fog of the mirror. Aden grabbed his tooth brush and tooth paste and brushed his teeth. Then he grabbed some hair gel and pushed his bangs up in the front. Finally setting everything off he put on some cologne. Aden looked in the mirror and said "Man I look good." Smiling Aden unlocked the door and walked down the hall and entered his room.
Aden shut the door behind him and locked it. He looked at his bed and the clothes layed there ironed. Aden smiled and put them on. Sitting on his bed he put on his shoes and then looked at himself in a mirror. Aden pulled on the sides of his blazer and smiled. He walked over and turned off his stero and then over ot his door. Aden opened his door and walked out into the hallway.
Walking down the hall way he looked at one of the clocks on the walls. "11 25" he said walking down the stairs. Finally he got to the bottom floor and walked into the living room. He looked around and saw Dawn laying there motoinless. Aden smiled and looked at Quinn. "You'd better wake her." Aden said walking towards the kitchen. "But master." Quinn said scared. "I know how she is when you wake her up. Im not doing it." Aden said entering the kitchen.
Aden went to the refigerator and grabbed a butterbeer. Opening it Aden drank some and then grabbed a muffin. Taking a bite out of his muffin he peaked into the living room in time to see Dawn run out. Aden smiled and finished his muffin. When he had finished his butterbeer he heard the sound of footsteps on the stairs. Then he heard Dawn leave and he said "Of course don't wait for your brother." Aden walked out into the living room and looked at Quinn. "How do I look?" he asked. "Excellent Master." Quinn said smiling. Aden smiled back and grabbed a hand full of floo powder and threw it into the fire. "Parkinson Estate" he said as he stepped into the flames.
Aden felt himself being pulled and then finally felt his feet hit the floor and he stepped out of the fire looking around. He saw a house elf greet him and Aden looked down and said "Where is everyone." He saw the house elf point him towards the living room. Aden walked in and saw Pansy, Hendrix, and his siter. Great he thought Everyones older than me. Aden walked in and said "Hey guys."

Pansy was sitting on the couch for less than a minute when Hendrix appeared. "Hey Hendrix" Pansy said while getting up and heading over towards her. Soon Dawn arrived and she was followed by Aden. Pansy pointed over to the bar area where Pomly was nervously standing. "Do you want anything, I've got fire whiskey, cider, chardonnay, and champagne." Taking a seat at the bar Pansy picked up a glass and slid it over to Pomly. "Fire whiskey and cider" she ordered. Reluctantly the house elf poured the drink and gave it back to Pansy. "See to my friends wishes too Pomly" Pansy instructed as she held her glass and looked at it's contents carefully. "Lunch will be ready in a few minutes, I got Booms of Light to come and perform for us too." Taking a little sip Pansy turned to the elf. "Idiot! Pomly! You put too much fire whiskey and not enough cider! Do it again!" Pansy then dumped her drink down the bar's drain and slid her drink over to the elf who quickly poured another drink. "Honestly I don't know why my father keeps this stupid elf, he's the worst of the three elves we have. Really ought to just sell this one and get a new elf." Taking her glass she again tasted it, "decent" she said as she eyed the elf with contempt. "So what have you all been doing so far this summer?" Pansy asked.

Alaizabel was inside her grand study, catching up on her reading when she heard a slight knock on the door. Alaizabel looked up from her book, with a disgruntled look. Apparently, she did not like being interrupted. "Enter." She said in a cold voice. The tallk door creaked opened and her house elf, Angus entered, carrying something on a silver platter. "What is it." Alaizabel said rather rudely, "Mistress, a letter as arrived, seems like an invitation to the Parkinson Estate, it is a little get together I presume." Angus said. Alaizabel eyed him and grabbed the letter from the silver platter. "Indeed, it is." She said "Well Angus, what are you waiting for? Get the fire place ready." She said sternly. "Right Away Mistress." Angus said bowing out of the room.
Alaizabel retreated to her room, finding the perfect clothing to wear to the party. After a meer 20 minutes, she finally picked out a black skirt with a dark red top that fit tightly on her and had laces on the side and near the chest. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, she smiled at it and blew it an invisible kiss. Before leaving, she pulled on a pair of black platforms. After replacing the straps, she walked elegantly downstairs, towards the living room.
"And where might you be going, dressed as lovely like that?" Said a voice from the couch. Alaizabel turned around and met eyes with her mother, "I am going to a private party at the Parkinson Estate, mother." Her mother smiled, "Well have fun dear." She said waving her away. Alaizabel smiled and picked up her black robe, made out of silk.
Angus stood in front of the fireplace holding up a silver bowl that held floo powder. Alaizabel grabbed a handful of the powder and tossed it in the flames, followed by herself. She felt the warm flames play against her skin, "Parkinson Estate!" She said rather loud, and off she went flying through fireplaces, towards the Parkinson Estate.

Dawn Smiled at Pansy as she sat down in a chair. Crossing her right leg over her left she tapped her right foot as she waited for something to happen. Aden arrived soon after Dawn sat down. Shaking her head she thought, 'Ohh yea.. my brother, forgot about him.' She smiled as he greeted them. Pansy went on about her House elf. "Quinn our house elf is quite perfect. my parents had him before I was born, so he knows exatly what me and Aden like. Its quite nice to have somthing that knows my needs down to a T." she said as she turned and looked at Pansy's house elf. "Maybe you should, since you have two others also." Dawn said as she stood up and grabbed a glass.
Walking over to Pansy's bar she said, "Champagne." as she sat down at a stool at her bar. Waiting just a few seconds Pomly gave the glass back to Dawn. With a nodd from her head she grabbed the glass she started to sip it. "So nice. I havent had good champagne for awhile." Dawn said as she placed her glass down at the bar and turned to Pansy. "Actually this summer has been quite a dragg. Ive been doing Quidditch alot. Also wandering Diagon and Knockturn alley. Nothimg much else. How about you?" Dawn asked Pansy as a sound rang from the next room. "Sounds like someone has arrived." Dawn said as she grabbed her glass of champagne and drank a bit more.

Pansy again looked at Pomly with disgust as Dawn suggested getting a replacement. "I can't get rid of this elf! Pomly is my father's elf, he seems to be happy with this thing for some reason. Fima is my mother's, she's good with cooking and cleaning most the time. Lina is my elf, she's alright, still young so she should get better as she gets older." Dawn once more started talking about sports to which Pansy simply rolled her eyes and focused in on her drink once more. Dawn must have seen it though as she quickly changed subjects to Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley. "Really? Get anything good? Father doesn't let me go in Knockturn Alley for some stupid reason" she said while rolling her eyes once more. Of course Pansy had no call to go in Knockturn Alley anyway, she nor her family had any real calling to the Dark Arts.
While sitting at the bar, Fima came over and announced that lunch had been set out in the kitchen and that the tables were set up outside. Booms of Light was also ready to begin playing. "It's about time!" Pansy said as she got up and led the others back through the main entry towards the kitchen when a loud popping noise came from the fireplace. "Pomly!" Pansy hollered at the elf. "Go and see who just arrived, get them a drink from the bar then bring them to the kitchen!" Once more the little elf jumped when called upon then quickly scurried off towards the fireplace to greet the new guest.
In the kitchen Pansy's keen eyes looked at the table where the food had been placed. A platter of roast turkey was the centerpiece. It was flanked baked potatoes, rolls, and a Caesar salad. Walking to the table Pansy carefully inspected the food as well as the silverware. Only the finest crystal had been brought out for this occasion and picking up a plate she found it to be spotless. "Amazing" she said while handing the plate to Hendrix. "Fima appears to have made lunch without any mistakes for once." Then stepping in front of Hendrix, Pansy helped herself to some roasted turkey, potatoes, some salad and a roll. "Get your food guys then meet me outside in the patio" she said as she walked out a double glass door and outside.
A gentle breeze blew across the meadow and made the long grass rustle as Pansy walked out onto the patio. Several large umbrellas blocked the sun from her eyes while she waited for the others. Settling herself down at a seat at the glass table she looked over at Booms of Light that had set up a mini stage about 20 feet from the table. "When everyone else gets here you can start" Pansy told the lead singer. Then without waiting for the rest of the group to join her, she began to eat her lunch.

Alaizabel stepped out of the fire place, dusting soot off her clothing. She straightened them out and stood next to the fire place, awaiting to be greeted. After one minute, she saw that a house elf was shuffling towards her. "What the bloody hell took you?" She said coldly as she threw her silk robe at it, "place it in a safe spot, that is real silk mind you, it cost a fortune." She added. The elf nodded shakingly and directed her towards the garden. Alaizabel saw that a good amount of people had arrived already. She smiled and entered the garden.
"Well hello Dawn" She brightly, when she passed Dawn. She made her way towards the table, on which food lay. Pansy was already indulging herself in the food. *Ahem* Alaizabel cleared her throat "Pansy, I would like to thank you for inviting me to this lovely get together, and might I suggest replacing that retched elf. Walks as if it's about to die mind you." She said, smiling at Pansy and picking her choices of food on the table.
When she was satisfied, she took a seat, grabbing a glass of flaming whiskey on her way to it. She sat down and looked at the guests as she sipped her drink.
