OOC: Let's get this started!
Jordan Cortes walked along the side walk, her black hair in a high ponytail and her shorts soaking wet from the rain. It was summer..why was it raining exactly?? She sighed and decided to run the rest of the way home. She threw open the great wooden door and ran inside squealing. She was sopping now and she hated it. She slammed the door closed and trudged into the kitchen. No one was home, as always. She screamed at the top of her lungs and opened the refrigerator. She grabbed the carton of milk and poured some into the glass she had gotten from the glass cupboard. She took a sip and looked around her kitchen. EVERYTHING was glass; glass table, glass counter, glass cupboards. EVERYTHING. Its not that she was complaining she loved her life, she just didnt like how she was treated like a rich girl, even though she was....

Amelia smiled and ran outside as fast as possible. She loved rain. It was beautiful and she wanted to spin uncontrolably under the sheet of water that she considered her favorite thing in the world.
She lept out the door, forgetting a jacket and just in a blue tank top and gray slacks. Her bare feet hit the concret hard and water splashed her ankles. She put her head back, her blonde hair flipping over her head, with her arms outstreched she started to spin in a circle. She smiled in pleasure as the rain soaked through her clothes and drenched her hair. She knew it must have been a strange site, but she didn't care- the rain was what she loved and no one can take that away. Well maybe except Harry Potter.

Jordan looked out the window to see a girl spinning around in the middle of the street, arms outstretched and a broad smile upon her face. Jordan shook her head, took one last sip of her milk and left the kitchen to enter the living room. She sat down on the satin couch and turned the television on, the glare off the screen filled the cozy room and illuminated the dark and dank hallways behind her. She watched as I love Lucy came on, and then some other American shows. She loved the oldie shows that America showed, they were her all time favorite. It was too bad that she didnt get her most favorite of all time, Happy Days. But that was just the way it was until she visited her friends in the US of A.
Lightening flashed outside, causing Jordan to jump at least five feet in the air. She laughed at herself, nervously and turned off the t.v. before getting up and locking the door. She then turned on her heel and headed up the glass staircase to her room. When she entered it she sighed to herself and turned on her radio. It wasnt less then five listening minutes when the electricity shut off and everything became dark. She shuddered and clicked on the nearest flashlight.
The hallways seemed eery now and the hollow sounds of her footsteps on the glass floor just made it more eery. Jordan turned a right and screamed when she saw her little cousin hanging upside down on the door. He laughed and swung down and hissed at her before running off again. She pushed her palm up against her beating chest and watched as Byron ran off like a laughing hyena. This was a signal that her parents were home. Jordan cussed under her breath before plastering a smile on her face and walking casually the rest of the way down the hallway to the entry way. There stood her parents and her aunt, laughing merrily and taking off their soaking wet coats. Jordan smiled and helped them. Her life was so fake. The only real part about it, was Hogwarts.

Amelia started to feel dizzy and stopped, steadying herself. She looked around at the many houses. The lawns green and almost flooded from the rain, the rain gutters making a soft rushing noise as the rain water rushed out to the dirt under it. Amelia then looked up the sky. Rain hit her face as she looked at the grey/black clouds. She smiled and was about to turn into her house when a crack of thunder made her jump and cry out. She laughed to herself and looked up as a lightning rod flashed in the clouds.
Amelia sighed wishing she could stay in the rain, but the voice of her mother sounded through the sounds and smells of a thunder storm. Amelia rolled her eyes and turned to her mother, Sherrie.
"YES MOTHER!" She screamed so her mother could acually hear. Amelia walked, her shoulders slumped, towards her mother standing in the doorway. She had a stern look on her face and Amelia sighed again as she walked through the door.
"Amelia! Look at you! You are completly drenched. Amelia looked around the house, it was dark. She grunted and turned to her mother.
"The power's out!?" Amelia asked, getting annoyed and angry. Amelia watched her mother's face turn to anger and that glint in her eye ment a punishment was coming, or atleast a lechure. Amelia sighed waiting for it.
"Don't you dare give me that tone, young lady!" Amelia rolled her eyes again, feeling more annoyed. In the back of her mind (you know that spot you don't pay attention to) she knew it was her teenage hormones talking, but she ignored it.
She put up her hands and flapped them making a talking gesture and mouthed-
Blah, Blah, Blah Amelia knew it was coming.

Jordan looked out the window and saw the girl who had once been twirling run back inside. She had often wondered who that girl was, but never really cared to ask. She had seen her at school, but never talked to her, considering she was not in Hufflepuff, like Jordan herself. And yet, there was something peculiar about that girl, something that made Jordan smile with mischief. Just because she wasnt friends with this girl, doesnt mean they werent like each other.
Jordan smiled to herself and decided it was high time to introduce herself. She slipped from her stool in the kichen and placed her tennis shoes on. She pulled her jacket over her dark head and pushed the hood down.
"M'ija?" Jordan stopped and rolled her eyes before facing her mother. She hated when her mother called her m'ija, it made her sound so..little. She walked briskly into the living room and smiled.
"Yes Mim?" She asked. Her mother frowned at the name her daughter had called her and beckoned her towards the couch. Jordan obeyed and sat down next to her cousin. He tugged at her hair and made hissing noises at her before turning to his mom and literally flying off the couch. He spread open his arms and jumped/flew off the couch and left them to talk.
"Why are you all dressed up?" Mrs.Cortes asked. Jordan looked out the window, and searched her mind for a good excuse. Going over to a stranger's house wasnt going to cut it with her mom. She turned back to reality and her eyes twinkled with joy.
"Just out. I think I could take some serious pictures of this storm." Mrs.Cortes smiled and nodded before patting her knee and dismissing Jordan. Once Jordan was out of ear shot, she let out the loudest sigh. It filled the hall way and she quickly left the Glass house. She skipped to the house across the street and slowed once she came to the front lawn.
There was lush green grass and glass fairies surrounded a flower patch near the stoop. The lantern held a sign that said,"The Richardsons".
"Great, they're homey people." Jordan said to herself before taking the last few steps to the front door. She sighed and slowly brought her fist up to meet the door. She knocked three times and waited for the door to open stealthily.

"AMELIA MARIE RICHARDSON HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME THAT WAY!" Amelia crossed her arms and sighed. She looked up at the ceiling and closed her eyes, wishing her mother would just stop yelling.
"I WANT YOU TO GO TO YOUR-" Sherrie was cutt off by someone knocking on the door. Amelia smiled at her mother and jumped off the couch.
"Sorry, mummy dearest! I have to answer the door!" Amelia rolled her eyes and walked to the door while her mother stood there glaring. Amelia reached out and grasped the brass handle, praying that whoever it was would escape her fromt he lecure she would be getting. Opening the door Amelia saw Jordan Cortes standing there.
She was a Hufflepuff...Amelia was Gryffindor so they never usually talked. Amelia stood there stunned at her next door neighbor standing there. Sherrie's voice sounded from behind her.
"Well, Amelia, let her in! It must be blistering cold out there!" Amelia sighed at her mother, she was so happy and cheery sounding. Amelia turned to Jordan and smiled.
"Sorry," she said, "Want to come in?" Amelia asked. Sherrie seemed happy at that and ran into the kitchen to make snacks.

"Sorry," she said,"Wanna come in?" Jordan smiled and nodded. It was freezing out side and she would rather be inside where the warmth was. She stepped inside the house and all her visions of how it would look disappeared. This Amelia wasn't what Jordan had thought she was, and yet, she was. Jordan smiled and folded her hands in front of her, swaying lightly on the balls of her feet. An eery silence overwhelmed the hall and Jordan knew she had to break it.
"So, you anxious for school? I know I am! I just cant wait to get out of my glass prison! Oh, dont worry, its really not a prison its more of a house but I just look at it as a prison." Jordan rambled, "Okay, I'll shut up now." She said with a small chuckle.

Amelia couldn't help but laugh. Jordan was a funny girl. She seemed so full of life and wonderfully spunky. She was beautiful and so mysterious. Amelia envied how her hair was so dark and silky looking- how her eyes were so pericing. Amelia sighed happily that Jordan finally said hello to her.
"I am completly excited for school!" she said as Sherrie came back with chips. Amelia looked at the bowl suprised.
"Why, mother!" she siad in a fake tragic voice, "You didn't slave over a stove for our neighbor!" she gasped, "How could you!" Sherrie laughed and patted Amelia's cheek.
"Now dear don'r be overly dramatic!" Amelia stuck out her bottom lip and sighed tragically.
"No one understands me!" she laughed and looked back at Jordan, smiling.
"Sorry for my insanity," Amelia leaned over toward her neighbor, "But I get it from her!" she pointed at her mother and laughed.

Jordan laughed lightly and looked at this girl. Her eyes, flashed with every smile she cracked and her hair fell gently in her eyes. She looked quite soft. Jordan on the other hand, because of her idiotic Spanish heritage looked rugid and mean. She tried so hard to cover it up.
"Well, you're in gryffindor correct? I'm in Hufflepuff, I'm the Beater for the house team. what about you? Do you play a position in Quidditch? You must...you look like a Quidditch-y type. Not that there is type. You just look like one if there was one. I tend ot chatter when I get nervois, so pardon my chattering." Jordan said, biting her lip, trying to calm herself down. What had urged her to knock on this girls door? What made her so sure this girl even wanted to talk to a lowly Hufflepuff ???

Amelia couldn't help but laugh at Jordan's rambling. She was a wonderful person. Amelia loved Quidditch more then anything and knew she must have brightened at the mention of that wonderful Broom-played Sport.
"I love Quidditch!" Sherrie moaned at Amelia's words.
"Oh thank you Jordan, now she wont stop talking about it!" Sherrie said in an obviously fake sarcasm. She winked at Jordan and turned back to the kitchen.
"You know you love me mother!" Amelia called after her and laughed, "But no, i love Quidditch. I love it so much i got Keeper on the team! And yes i am in Gryffindor, Love that house if I do say so myself!" she smiled, "And I'm not rambling because i'm nervouse, i'm rambling because I like you!" her mother laughed from the kitchen and Amelia bounced on the balls of her feet.

Jordan smiled. But then the smile faded when she heard her mother calling her. Jordan sighed deaftingly and looked at her newfound friend.
"My mim's calling me. I have to go. But, if you want, stop by anytime from 10 in the morning to 1 in the morning. I'm up then." Jordan said as she opened the door and smiled. She waved good bye and then closed the door behind her and headed home. Her mother was standing on the balcony and looking down at her with daggers in her eyes.
"INSIDE NOW!" She yelled, her voice disfigured from the rain. Jordan winced and walked inside the huge house. She slammed her door and kicked off her shoes. As her mom came running downstairs.
"WHERE DID YOU GO?!" She asked in a harsh tone of yelling. Jordan laughed and trudged up the stairs to her room.

Amelia sighed sadly and walked into the kitchen. She didn't get a chance to really talk to JOrdan. She wanted to tell her about switching to Chaser from Keeper. She sighed again and looked at her mother. Sherrie's shoulders slumped as she looked at her daughter.
"Lost another guest did we?" Sherrie asled. Amelia nodded. Her mother reache dout and hugged Amelia.
"I wish I had more friends, mum," she said. Sherrie jumped and looked at Amelia squear in the eyes.
"What do u mean hunny?" Sherrie asked. Amelia sighed.
"I don't have very many friends..." Sherrie laughed.
"You may not think taht right now because you are dissapointed- but you do have friends hun," Amelia nodded and started up the stairs.

The sun was shinging brightly for once that week, causing it to warm Jordan's cold glass prison. She sighed and pushed her bedspread aside, swung her legs over the side of the bed, stretched and then stood up. She pulled on her pants and black hoodie, pulled her hair up into a pony tail, slipped her etnies on and ran outside before her mother could stop her. She splashed through some puddles until she reached Amelia's front door. Poundng on the wooden frame she waited patiently for her friend to answer the door.

Amelia, who was sitting on the couch in pink pajamas (Pink top and pants with a bunny thats says= Hip Hop on them and tinkerbell slippers), sat up and walked over to the door. It may be noon, but on weekends... Amelia always wore her P.J.s! She yawned and opened the door. Jordan stood there. Amelia smiled and moved aside.
"Come on in!" she said. Amelia was suddenly wide awake and very glad to see Amelia standing there.

Jordan smiled at Amelia and walked inside. She looked at Amelia and laughed. Then looked at herself, noticing that she was already to go somewhere. She smiled mischeviously at Amelia
"Come on, get dressed, I am takin you somewhere. And you cant go dressed like that." She said with a teasing smile.

Amelia looked down and then laughed. she looked at Jordan and pouted.
"But.. I wuv my bunnies!" she laughed and shook her head, starting up the stairs. She looked back to Jordan.
"Comeup. I want to show you my room!" she smiled and continued up to her room. Amelia loved her room more than anything in the house. Her bed was a four-poster and the curtains had a beautiful portrait of a sunset woven into it. Her bed’s pillows were yellow and gold; her blankets were pink, purple, and blue. The walls were painted dark blue and speckled with white and yellow to represent stars. Her ceiling was the same only black with stars painted on. The carpet was specially made for her; sky blue with sparkles woven into the fibers.
She smiled at Jordan and walked over to her dresser, pulling out a black, purple sleeved shirt, a pair of black pants and some underthings. She then walked into her bathroom and changed. Pulling her hair into pugtails that fell over each shoulder. She then pulled on her pink etnies and smiled at Jordan.
"Well, where are we going?"

"A girl's sanctuary. The mall!" Jordan said with excitement. She looked around Amelia's room in awe. It was gorgeous. Her room was bare, but this was wow. She snapped out of her reverie and looked at Amelia.
"let's go!" She said with a laugh. Grabbing Amelias hand and running down stairs.

Amelia smiled and ran after Jordan. She stopped at teh edge of the stairs and yelled at her mother:
"MUM, I'M GOING TO THE MAL-" she was rushe dout of the house then by Jordan. Amelia laughed as her and her new friend ran down the pavement towards the inside of town.

They reached the mall and Jordan was spinning around in circles, her arms wide open. She smiled broadly and stopped spinning, holding onto her head with a dizzy smile.
"Oh! We have to go in there and there and there! And there!" Jordan said excitingly as they walked down the strip. She loved shopping. Being raised Muggle had that affect on her.

Amelia laughed as Jordan spun. She loved shopping and was glad to have put her wallet in theis pair of pants... or she would have been lost without money! *gasp*.
"Anyways... wanna start with Claires?" she asked about the jewelry store.
